Episode 5: The Day the Camp Stood Still

The camera focuses on Chris, standing at the end of the Dock of Shame. "Last time on Total Drama Island." The scene cuts to flashbacks of the previous episode. "The teams were tasked with answering some simply difficult trivia questions. Team Checkmate breezed through until they got to the end, and screwed up the final and, frankly, EASIEST question. Team Golden Lion discovered the challenge's twist: that the hard road through was actually shorter. And Team Power Mouse only seemed to do well when Star wasn't helping. When she did help, it led to disaster. Probably why they decided to eliminate her."

The scene cuts back to Chris on the dock. "Who will bring it on? Who will bring it up? And who will be going home next? You can find the answer to those questions right here, right now, on Total. Drama. Island."

Intro song plays.

At breakfast on the morning of the next challenge, the contestants were sitting around the Mess Hall, wondering what Chris had in store for them this time. "Okay guys, we've had some rough luck with challenges lately, but we can fix this," said Kevin.

"Rough luck? More like no luck," said Jake. "Three challenges in, and we're down two people already."

"Yeah, okay, fair point, but we can come back from this," said Kevin. "I mean, who knows what the next challenge is? It could be something we're good at."

"You mean sucking?" asked Buttercup as she floated past with her food. "Because that's what you've been doing."

"HEY! You wanna come over here and say that?" said Luz, furiously scribbling something onto a piece of paper.

Buttercup smiled, and flew right up into Luz's face. "This close enough?" asked Buttercup, her nose almost touching Luz's.

"Perfect," said Luz, lightly tapping the paper she'd been drawing on. Suddenly, a column of fire shot up from the paper, engulfing Buttercup entirely.

"HOLY *beep* LUZ!" cried Dipper. "Did you just kill her?"

Luz tapped the paper again, turning off the fire. Buttercup floated in front of her, charred but unhurt, before coughing soot in her face. "Nope, apparently not," said Luz.

"Just you wait," said Buttercup, shaking the ashes from her body. "You guys are dropping like flies, and I can't wait to help squish a few more." Buttercup collected the remains of her breakfast, and floated off to her team's table.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to annoy the tomboy superhero who's been itching for an excuse to punch something?" asked Kim.

"Oh please, who hasn't got superpowers at this place?" asked Luz.

"Um, me?" Kim pointed out.

"Yeah, but you're, like, awesome and stuff," said Luz. "You might as well have superpowers given what you can do."

"Oh…thank you," said Kim.

"Kevin's right, by the way," said Luz. "We're down, but we're not out. We all contribute something to the team, and by working together we'll win this thing."

"To victory, Power Mice," said Mikey, raising his cup of orange juice (or at least, what Chef said was orange juice).

Meanwhile…

"Alright human friends, are we all ready to tackle today's challenge?" asked Jenny.

"Well, as long as we've all had our eight hours, we should be fine," said Eliza.

"Oh, as a robot, I don't sleep," said Jenny.

"So, what do you do while the rest of us are asleep?" asked Danny.

"Uhh…nothing much," said Jenny, as the camera flashes back to during the previous night.

Team Golden Lion are all in bed (except for Jenny), and several of them are tossing and turning, clearly having some kind of bad dream. "No, Vlad, stop, don't make me eat the Lunch Lady's food…" mumbled Danny in his sleep. Jenny immediately dashed out of the cabin, and returned a moment later holding a bag of fast food. A fan popped out of Jenny's shoulder, and blew the smell into Danny's nose. "No, sto…wait, these are cheeseburgers, this can't be Lunch Lady's cooking." Danny seemed to relax after this, and Jenny sighed with relief, before going to the next bed.

"No, Amon, get off me," said Korra in her sleep, struggling violently. "I won't let you take away my bending." Jenny, using all four limbs, held a flame, a fan, a watering can, and a potted plant over the Avatar's bed. "Yeah, let's see how you like facing off against the Avatar State, jerk." Jenny quickly removed all of the items from Korra's reach, before she could accidentally sleep bend any of them.

"Jeez, who'd have thought most of my teammates would have some kind of terrible PTSD?" asked Jenny, before going over to the next bed. "I won't mention anything though, I'm sure they don't want me knowing all this stuff."

"Wait, Helga, what…what are you…" started Arnold in his sleep, seeming to be distressed for a moment. "Oh, that's what you're doing." Arnold seemed to relax, before Jenny could even react to his problem. Jenny shrugged her shoulders, and moved on.

Back in the present…

"So, what's the plan for the challenge?" asked Annie.

"Same thing as every other time," said Lincoln. "Go out there, and kick the other team's butts. Everyone with me?"

"Yes, but not because you said it," said Korra, as the rest of the team cheered.

Meanwhile…

"Alright, only team to not lose anyone yet," said Steven. "Who's the best? We are. Right guys?"

"For now," said Mandy. "And if you don't stay focused, we might lose that advantage, so keep your head in the game, got it?"

"Jeez Mandy, lighten up," said Elliott. "Just enjoy yourself, you're among friends here."

"Friends is a…strong term for what we are," said Mandy. "Even acquaintances might be too much."

"Why do you hate us so much?" asked Jessica. "Did we do something?"

"Maybe," said Mandy, continuing to eat her breakfast and trying to ignore the rest of the team."

"Just ignore her Jessica," said Tulip. "If she's going to be difficult, it's probably not worth the effort to get on her good side."

"And besides, if she doesn't want to play nice, we can always get rid of her if we lose a challenge," said Buttercup.

"Buttercup, why is your dress on fire?" asked Dexter calmly.

"Huh?" said Buttercup, noticing it for the first time, and smothering it with her bare hands. "Fricken Luz."

"So, any ideas what the next challenge is going to be?" asked Tulip.

"Whatever it is, we'll be fine," said Ben. "Right guys?"

"Yeah, exactly," said Steven, high-fiving him. "Bring it on Chris."

"On it shall be brung," said Chris over the loudspeakers. "Meet me at the Dock of Shame in twenty minutes, it's challenge time."

As the campers began to make their way outside, Eliza grabbed Elliott's arm. "Hey, can I talk to you about something?" she asked.

"Uh…sure," said Elliott. "But why? We've never spoke before now. We're not even on the same team."

"I know, I know," said Eliza, leading Elliott around the side of the Mess Hall. "It's just…it's about one of your teammates. Mandy."

"Oh, okay," said Elliott. "Yeah, don't know much about her unfortunately. Every time someone tries to befriend her, she gets angry. Honestly, she just scares all of us."

"Yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to you about," said Eliza. "It's not just you guys she's scaring. It's the animals too."

"The animals?" asked Elliott. "How do you know what the animals are scared of?"

"Oh, I…have my ways," said Eliza, trying not to say too much. "I mean, you know my parents are world class nature documentarists, right?"

"Wait…you're not Nigel Thornberry's daughter, are you?" asked Elliott. "Me and my mum used to love watching your show."

"Aww, thanks," said Eliza. "Wait, what do you mean used to?"

"Oh, you know, before we got sent to an alien spaceship by a weird rock, and then that same rock took her and my dinosaur friend Mo to who knows where," said Elliott casually. "It's actually why I'm back on Earth: I want to get some money so I can start funding looking for them."

Eliza stared at him in shock. "D…dinosaur?" asked Eliza. "You know what? That's the not the important part…yet. What I wanted to ask is: can you see if your team will vote out Mandy if you lose?"

"You want us to get rid of her?" asked Elliott. "Actually, not a bad idea. She's scary, I reckon most of the team will be okay with it."

"Thank you," said Eliza, giving Elliott a hug. "I appreciate it, and the animals will too."

"N…no problem," said Elliott, blushing a little as Eliza hurried off to join the others. Elliott soon followed, but didn't realise they were being watched.

Confession Cam: Mandy

"So animal girl wants me gone, eh? And is trying to get my own team to turn against me? Well, they'll soon see why that's the biggest mistake they'll EVER make."

Later, at the Dock of Shame…

"Okay campers, before we get to today's challenge," said Chris. "You'll have to put on these wristbands." Chris held out a box full of wristbands, and offered one to each camper in turn. "Put them on, and don't take them off until the challenge is over, unless you want your team to lose, which seems like a stupid idea."

"What do they do?" asked Ben.

"As you'll see on your wristbands, there are two lights. A green one, and a red one," explained Chris. "Once the challenge starts, you'll be given free rein to travel wherever you want on the island. Chef here will try to find you." As if to illustrate the point, Chef chuckled as he gently caressed a rocket launcher.

"O…kay, and how does that relate to the wristbands?" asked Danny.

"Well, have any of you played the game 'Red Light, Green Light'?" asked Chris. "Basically, if the light on your wristband is green, you can move. As soon as it turns red though, you might want to stop."

"Great, so Chef can pick us off when we're not moving," said Korra.

"That's where you're wrong," said Chris. "Because I believe in equality, Chef's wearing a wristband too, and he has to follow those rules too."

"Huh, that doesn't sound so bad," said Lincoln.

"Of course, his is a custom one that only goes red half as often as yours," said Chris. "Can't make this too easy for you."

"Yep, there's the twist," said Jake. "Knew it was coming, but still wasn't prepared for it."

"And what if we move while the wristband is red?" asked Elliott.

"Electrocution," said Chris nonchalantly.

"Of course that's what you'll do," sighed Kim.

"But he's not actually firing rockets at us, is he?" asked Mikey, obviously nervous.

"Nah, the studio said no," said Chris. "It's just Chef's homemade spaghetti." Upon hearing this, the contestants gasped in horror.

"DEAR GOD MAN!" yelled Luz. "At least with the rockets, you'd only be branded as a terrorist. I'm pretty sure what you're doing violates the Geneva Convention."

"I treat those more as suggestions," said Chris.

"Well, it was nice knowing you guys," said Jessica.

"Now, because I'm fair…" started Chris, getting a laugh from the contestants. "…you'll be getting a five-minute head start before the wristbands activate. Also, all of them will randomly swap between green and red, so some of you might be able to move while others can't. First team to have all their members eliminated sends someone home, and the last team to have a member standing will win whatever change I find down the back of my couch. Any questions?"

"Yeah, can we…" started Ben.

"Great, no questions, your head start begins now," said Chris, blowing his airhorn. The contestants immediately ran away from the Dock of Shame, running in all directions once they made it to camp.

"Do we stick together, or split up?" asked Annie.

"His weapon looks like it only fires one shot at a time," said Jenny. "So as long as he misses you, he can't hit you again until he reloads."

Meanwhile…

"So that's your automatic rocket launcher, isn't it?" asked Chris.

"You know it," said Chef.

Back with the challenge…

"Well, he won't be expecting anyone of us to be off the ground, will he?" asked Buttercup. "Why don't I just fly us into different trees around the camp so he doesn't find us?"

"He knows you can fly, so he'll be expecting you to be in the air," said Dexter.

"Pfft, like that'll happen," said Buttercup. "Who wants to be up a tree?"

"I'll do it," said Elliott, who got swooped up in a flash of green.

"This one do?" asked Buttercup.

"Uhh…" started Elliott, staring down at the ground hundreds of feet below him. "Did it have to be the top of the tallest tree?" When Elliott got no response, he looked around to see that he was alone. "Buttercup? Buttercup? …uh oh…"

Meanwhile…

"Three…two…one…okay, Chef's probably on the move now," said Dipper, deep in the forest with several of his teammates. "Anyone already have a red light?"

"We don't," said Kim. "But, uh, you do."

"What?" said Dipper, looking down to see his wristband had a red light. "Oh, cra…" Before he could finish his statement, an electrical current ran through his body, stunning him for a moment.

"Are you okay?" asked Kevin.

"Well, that hurt a lot," said Dipper. "But now we can test a theory: can I be moved by someone who still has a green light?"

"Yeah, test that, and get both of us electrocuted," said Jake. "That'll help the team."

"It was just a suggestion," said Dipper. "Either try it, or don't. Or leave me."

"Sounds like a plan," said Jake, changing into his dragon form and starting to fly away. Suddenly, he falls to the ground in pain, and everyone sees his wristband has changed to red. "Okay, note to self, flight is a bad idea, in case it changes to red in the meantime."

"Okay, well, we're going to head off," said Luz. "Probably better if we split up anyway, in case Chef gets a few of us at…" As Luz was talking, there was a rustling from a nearby bush. "Everyone get down."

"Don't worry, just me," said Eliza, stepping out from the bush. "Well, me and Arnold. We kinda got separated from our group. You haven't seen them, have you?"

"Can't say we have," said Mikey.

"Darn," said Arnold. "Well, see ya, good luck guys."

"Wait, can I ask you guys something?" asked Eliza.

"Uh, we're in the middle of a challenge, but sure," said Luz.

"Look, it's about Team Checkmate," said Eliza.

"Lemme guess, you want us to work together to make sure they lose since they have all their members still?" asked Kim.

"…I mean, yeah, kinda," said Eliza. "That girl Mandy has been terrorising the animals, and as a wildlife conservationist, I want to put a stop to it."

"Fair enough," said Dipper. "I suppose if we get an opportunity to make them lose, we can do something about it."

"Thanks guys," said Eliza. "Come on Arnold, let's see if we can find the others." Eliza grabbed Arnold's arm and set off into the woods.

"Are you sure we can trust them?" asked Arnold.

"I'll take my chances," said Eliza. "Besides, I figure she's as scary to them as she is to anyone else, so they might be willing to help." As they continued through the woods, they didn't realise they were being watched.

Confession Cam: Mandy

"If she's so concerned about the animals, maybe I should feed her to them."

Meanwhile…

"Buttercup, are you sure it's a good idea to keep putting our teammates at the top of the tallest trees?" asked Steven.

"Hey, if it works…" said Buttercup.

"And if they fall?" asked Steven.

"Then I catch them," said Buttercup. "It's a foolproof strategy."

"How would you know to catch them? I mean, we're nowhere near the tree Elliott was put in," said Steven.

"I'll hear him falling," said Buttercup. "Or at least screaming. I can hear screaming from across the other side of Townsville, a quiet forest should be no problem."

"And yet, you didn't hear me," said Chef, stepping out from behind a tree.

"Buttercup, fly away," said Steven, summoning a shield. "I'll hold him off."

"Uhh…might have a slight problem," said Buttercup, showing that her wristband now had a red light on it.

"Okay…that's inconvenient," said Steven, standing in front of her.

"Not for me," said Chef, firing his spaghetti launcher. The spaghetti hit Steven's shield, but left the two of them unharmed.

"HA!" said Steven, moving his shield to look at Chef. "You'll have to do better than that if you want to…" Before he could finish, Chef fired another blast of spaghetti, hitting the two of them directly.

"If I want to what?" asked Chef.

"Great going Steven," said Buttercup, getting out from under him.

"You two are out. Back to the Dock of Shame with you," said Chef, pointing in the direction of the Dock.

"Can I at least help the people I put in trees?" asked Buttercup.

"You put people in trees?" asked Chef.

"…forget I said that," said Buttercup.

"Hmm…no," said Chef. "Dock of Shame, now."

"Ah, crap," said Buttercup, following Steven towards the Dock.

Meanwhile…

"Pony, I'm getting worried," said Annie. "I still haven't seen Eliza, or anyone else for that matter."

"I'm sure it'll be fine," said Pony. "I mean, we can't be THAT lost, right?"

"How do you figure?" asked Annie.

"I don't," said Pony. "I just…hey, is that a red light on your wrist?"

"Huh?" said Annie, suddenly noticing the light, and freezing in place. "Oof, that was close."

"Would it help if I carried you?" asked Pony.

"I don't think so," said Annie. "If this thing senses I'm moving, it'll shock me. So, better to stay put."

"Fine by me," said Chef, emerging from the bushes.

"HA!" cried Pony, jumping in front of Annie. "If you want to get to Annie, you'll have to go through me."

Chef stared at Pony in shock. "The horse can talk?" asked Chef, before shrugging his shoulders. "Meh, that doesn't even make the top 10 weirdest things on the island right now." Chef began to take aim with his spaghetti launcher.

"Wait, you don't care that I lied about him being a support animal?" asked Annie.

"Eh, he hasn't been helping you with challenges," said Chef. "Plus, they're not paying me enough to care. Also, just because he can talk doesn't mean he can't be a support animal. If anything, it makes him more qualified."

"He does have a poi…" considered Annie, as Chef fired and hit Pony.

"As I said, you won't get her without getting me," said Pony.

"And what's that in her hair?" asked Chef, pointing out a single strand of spaghetti that flew past Pony and got Annie. "You're out."

"Dang it…" said Annie. "You wouldn't happen to know where the Dock of Shame is, would you?"

"That way," said Chef, pointing behind them. "There's a shortcut through that cave if you want to use it."

"Thanks," said Annie, leaving with Pony.

"Or was that the Sasquatch Cave?" asked Chef, before shrugging. "Eh, I've got more kids to find."

Throughout the day, Chef kept finding more of the kids, and taking them all down. Many of them tried fighting back, and none succeeded.

"You can't get me through this ice wall," said Luz, sticking out her tongue at Chef.

"Can't I?" asked Chef, firing his weapon. The force of the spaghetti blew a hole clean through Luz's ice, hitting her in the chest.

"…okay, maybe you can," said Luz.

Scene cut.

"Man, you don't get it, do you?" asked Danny, who kept going intangible every time Chef fired at him. "You can't hit…" Before Danny could finish that sentence, a blast of spaghetti blasted him in the face.

"Why didn't you phase through that one?" asked Chef.

"I was kinda too busy taunting you," said Danny.

"Well, Dock of Shame with you," said Chef.

Scene cuts.

"Heh heh," said Ben, currently as Grey Matter. "Chef can't hit what he can't see."

"Can't I?" said Chef, staring down at him.

"Hmm, guess I should have kept quiet in this form, huh?" said Ben.

"Six inches isn't that small," said Chef, blasting Ben at point blank range.

Scene cuts.

"Well, Chef's certainly been having fun," said Chris, after most of the contestants had been caught. "He's not even showing bias towards any one team. There's only one player left per team. Though we still haven't seen Annie come back."

"Well, how do you know she isn't still in the running?" asked Eliza.

"Because I saw it on the monitor," said Chris, replaying the footage to prove his point. "After that, she went through the Sasquatch Cave as shortcut to get back here, and…"

"Wait, Sasquatch Cave?" asked Eliza. "There actually is a sasquatch here?"

"Well, yeah," said Chris. "Wawanakwa literally translates to 'there's a sasquatch living here, do not disturb under any circumstances'."

"I thought it was Shona for 'you have been blessed'," said Arnold.

"It can be two things," said Chris. "Point is, Annie's probably in trouble."

"WHAT?!" yelled Eliza. "We have to go save her."

"We, or you?" asked Chris.

"Aren't you the host?" asked Korra.

"Hey, I'm not stopping any of you going to help her," said Chris. "It just means I don't have to hire a search and rescue team. Heck, I'll even point you in the right direction." Chris pointed to a cave on a cliff face, that seemed to have some red markings around the entrance.

"Alright, I'm going in, I need to make sure she's okay," said Eliza, running towards the cave to save her friend.

"Do you mind if I come along?" asked Buttercup, flying alongside her. "I've been itching for something to punch."

"Only punch if you have to," said Eliza.

"Ugh, fine," said Buttercup, as they flew towards the cave.

"Anyway, let's see where Elliott, Kim, and Jenny are," said Chris, going back to the monitors. "Ooh, they're all in the one place, and Chef is circling below."

Below the tree Elliott was stuck in, Chef was trying to aim at the remaining contestants. "You can't stay up there forever," he said.

"I know," Elliott called down. "Soon I'm going to fall and die."

"It's okay Elliott, I'll get you down," said Jenny. "I'll gently lower you to the ground, and…"

"Won't that get both of us out?" asked Elliott.

"I won't complain," said Kim.

"I can take both of you if that helps," said Jenny.

"I can get myself down," said Kim. "But seriously Elliott, you may just want to take Jenny up on her offer. It'll be safer that way."

"I'm not sure how relevant this is, but you three are the last members standing of your respective teams," said Chef. "Basically, the first one of you to get hit loses the game for your team, and may get sent home."

Elliott gulped. "I really don't want to stay up here," he said. "And I really need the money to see if I can convince NASA to perform a search and rescue for my mum and Mo. Any chance you'll consider a five second head start once I'm safely on the ground?"

"Nope," said Chef. "On the plus side, you guys are safe up there. The spaghetti launcher's range is just below where you guys are." To demonstrate, Chef fired a blast of spaghetti at them, which came close to hitting them, only to fall back down just under where they were. "So, you guys are fine until the interns return with a ladder."

"So, what do we do?" asked Kim. "Obviously, Elliott needs to get down first, since he's the most terrified of being up this high."

"Who said I was s-s-s-scared?" asked Elliott through chattering teeth.

"Look, what if I grab you, and fly away from Chef as quickly as possible, so you still have a chance at winning?" asked Jenny.

"What about Kim? She could just sit here and win," said Elliott.

"I could," said Kim. "Or escape once Chef is out of sight. In seriousness though Elliott, both of us think you should get down as soon as possible. This isn't about the competition, this is about your safety."

"What? This branch is perfectly safe," said Elliott, as a loud crack sounded. "Uh…that wasn't me?"

"If you start falling, I'm grabbing you, permission or not," said Jenny.

"I'd just grab him now," said Kim, as another crack was heard.

"Please, just give me a chance to win," said Elliott, as Jenny grabbed him off the branch.

"Huh, weird," said Jenny. "The branch doesn't have any cracks or damage on it. So where did those cracking sound come fro…"

"WHOA!" yelled Kim, as one last crack was heard, and the branch she was on began to plummet to the ground with her on it.

"Crap," said Jenny, immediately flying to grab her.

"Hehe, come to papa," said Chef, aiming his gun.

Meanwhile…

"Annie? Annie, where are you?" called Eliza.

"Here sasquatch, sasquatch, sasquatch," called Buttercup. "I need something to punch."

"Not helpful," said Eliza.

"Hey, if it thinks it's under attack, it might reveal itself," said Buttercup.

"We're trying to protect the animals, not…" started Eliza, before pausing. "Hey, did you hear that?"

"Duh, it's a cave, it echoes," said Buttercup.

"No, it sounded like…" started Eliza.

"Eliza?" called someone.

"ANNIE!" yelled Eliza, as Annie came around a corner with Pony. "I thought you were in trouble."

"No, we just got lost," said Annie. "Though we did see something that looked like a nest for something large."

"Something like…a sasquatch?" asked Eliza.

"Maybe," said Annie.

"So it's not even here right now?" asked Buttercup. "Man, this stinks." In frustration, Buttercup punched the wall. Almost immediately, the cave around them started to shake. "Uh oh…we might need to leave."

"But the sasquatch…" started Eliza. "It's the reason I…"

"No time," said Buttercup, grabbing the other three and flying them back out the entrance before the cave collapsed on them.

"No…" started Eliza. "I just wanted to…"

"Eliza," said Annie, putting a hand on her friend's shoulder. "It's okay. There's another entrance somewhere. We can find that one if you want."

"You'll help me?" asked Eliza.

"Of course," said Annie. "What are friends for?"

"Yeah, yeah, let's go already," said Buttercup. "It looks like the challenge is over, I want to see who won."

Back at the Dock of Shame…

"WE LOST?!" demanded Buttercup. "How did we lose? I put Elliott up as high as I could. There's no way Chef hit him."

"You realise he could have died, right?" asked Kim, sharing out the thirty-eight cents her team won among the others.

"His sacrifice would have meant victory for the team," said Mandy, patting her pocket. "He should have stayed put."

"Hey, I would have saved him if I needed to," said Buttercup.

"A pity," said Mandy, almost bored. "Well, I'll be seeing you losers at elimination. We're agreed on Elliott for losing this for us, right?" Before anyone could respond, Mandy walked away back to camp.

"But…I…" started Elliott.

"Don't worry Elliott," said Tulip. "I think we all know who we're voting out."

"She's…really not a nice person," said Steven. "And I don't like saying that about people, but it's true."

"Thanks guys," said Elliott, heading back to camp with the rest of the contestants. "You know, once Mandy's gone, I think this whole competition is going to get a lot nicer."

Later, at the Elimination Ceremony…

"Welcome Team Checkmate, to your first Elimination Ceremony," said Chris. "There may be eight of you right now, but that number is about to go down to seven. You'll know you're safe if you receive one of the seven marshmallows on this plate. If you do not receive a marshmallow, you will be sent down the Dock of Shame, and board the Boat of Losers, and will never be coming back. Ever. The following contestants are safe." As he read each name, Chris threw them a marshmallow. "Ben. Buttercup. Dexter. Tulip. Steven. And Jessica." The camera cuts to Elliott and Mandy, both looking confident that they won't be the one eliminated. "Campers, there is only one marshmallow left. One of you is about to go home. The final marshmallow of the night goes to…" The camera rapidly cuts between Elliott and Mandy. "…Elliott. Mandy, you're out."

"You'd think that, wouldn't you?" asked Mandy, not moving a muscle. "But then again, maybe everyone forgot about these." Mandy reached into her pocket, and brought out…

"HOLY *beep*," cried Ben. "Is that…"

"Four Chrises of Invincibility?" asked Jessica. "I completely forgot about those."

"But we've only had four challenges," said Steven. "Does that mean…"

"Yes, I've found all of them so far," said Mandy. "Guess I have to give one up though, because you guys chose…poorly."

"…wait, so if I came second in the vote…" started Elliott.

"Sorry Elliott, rules are rules," said Chris. "Mandy's become basically unstoppable now, you're out."

"But…no…no, I need the money to find my mum," said Elliott, trying to hang on to the stump he was sitting on as Chef dragged him away. "Where will I even go? I have no home now."

"Not my problem," said Mandy, before turning to face the rest of her team. "And now you guys know what will happen if you try and get rid of me. Don't try it, because I've killed any mercy I might have."

"…this is really bad, isn't it?" asked Steven.

"That's a mild way of putting it, yes," said Dexter.

"But it's also great for ratings," said Chris, in a very upbeat voice considering what just happened. "Will Team Checkmate be able to get rid of Mandy? Or will Mandy destroy her team? Find out next time, on Total. Drama. Island."
