A couple days after Christmas Owen and Teddy waited outside Carina's office for the results of their amnio.

"Come on in," Carina smiled. They quickly joined her and sat in the chairs opposite her desk.

"The results," Teddy asked, "I can't take the suspense."

"You're having a healthy baby girl," Carina smiled.

"Another daughter," Owen smiled.

"She's healthy," Teddy asked, "Downs? CF?"

"Nothing," Carina assured turning the results towards them, "genetically nothing we test for shows up. Your daughter tests negative for all the common genetic conditions and we did the advanced panel because of your ages. Because of Teddy's age and recent history we are going to continue the biweekly ultrasounds until 30 weeks then weekly after that along with non stress tests."

"The cervix issues," Teddy asked.

"If it comes up again I will place the cerclage," Carina replied, "if it happens before 30 weeks. After 30 weeks your bambina would need NICU time but we would deliver her."

"Both are healthy," Owen asked.

"I'll check on Teddy today but yes," Carina smiled, "you have a healthy bambina."

"Nothing to worry about," Teddy asked.

"I'm still cautious because of your surgery a couple months ago," Carina admitted, "looking ahead, after major heart surgery like that. I would like a cardiologist or cardio surgeon to clear you to have a natural birth to make sure your heart is functioning well enough. Based on the information I have I would recommend an elective caesarean."

" I thought so," Teddy agreed, " I don't want to plan it before 39 weeks."

"Typically I do them just before then," Carina replied, "but you know the risks. I usually recommend 38+5 or 6."

"I'd like to put it in the 39 week range but am open to it sooner if medically necessary," Teddy replied, "I don't want baby girl to be born sooner than she needs to. She's already at risk for developmental delays because of what happened a few months ago."

"We will monitor and decide closer to," Carina replied, "usually I would be pushier but the two of you know the risks."

"And I'm your chief," Teddy replied.

"Let's do your exam," Carina said taking out the blood pressure cuff.

Carina took Teddy's vitals then signalled for her to get on the exam table, she took out the doppler and quickly found the baby's heartbeat. Teddy smiled and squeezed Owen's hand.

"She sounds good," Owen beamed.

"Everything looks good," Carina said, "I'll see you two in a couple of weeks."

"Thank you," Teddy smiled pulling down her shirt and sitting up.

"A healthy baby girl," Owen beamed taking Teddy's hand as they walked down the hall towards her office.

"Danielle," Teddy suggested.

"For," Owen started.

"Dan," Teddy smiled, "he encouraged me to be your friend and introduced us."

"He told me to propose to you," Owen smiled, "it's fitting. Danielle Jana."

"Danielle Hope," Teddy replied, "it was Jana's middle name and Megan and Allison share a middle name."

"I like it," Owen smiled, "are we sharing the name?"

"With family," Teddy agreed, "only family needs to know before she's born. Are we telling the kids they're getting a baby sister?"

"We are,"Owen assured, "Allison will think she's a doll."

"I know she will," Teddy smiled, "we need to get her baby clothes out of the attic. I'll buy some new things but let's see what we have."

"I'll get them this weekend," Owen smiled.

"She's healthy," Teddy beamed, "I was so worried. With both."

"You never said with Allison," Owen started.

"We weren't together and you had a lot going on and I didn't do the amnio because I was afraid and scared of what you would say if something was wrong," Teddy explained.

"The same thing we talked about," Owen said, "it's our baby. That was never a question Teddy."

"What about your mom and Megan," Teddy asked.

"They'll love baby girl like they love Leo and Allison and will be pleased she's healthy," Owen promised.

The ran into Amelia in the hallway.

"How did it go," Amelia asked having become friends with Teddy over the last couple years.

"It's a girl," Teddy smiled.

"Congratulations," Amelia smiled.

"So," bailey asked joining them.

"Baby girl," Owen replied.

"I know you have things from Allison but we have lots that Pru has out grown," Bailey offered.

"I think we have everything we need," Teddy replied, "thank you for offering. How is Pru?"

"She's good," Bailey smiled, "we should do a playdate soon with your kids and Scout."

"It's Link's week next week but I can do it the week after," Ameila suggested.

"Our house," Bailey offered, "the Sunday afternoon?"

"We have soccer in the morning but can do an afternoon play date," Teddy agreed.

"Pru has a soccer game as well that morning,"Bailey replied, "so after lunch maybe around 1:30?"

"That works for us," Teddy agreed, "I can bring snacks."

"We have a plan," Bailey agreed, "I'll have grown up treats for us, no alcohol."

"That would be good," Teddy smiled, "but I do want a glass of wine once baby girl is here."

"What's going on with the residents," Amelia asked, "Milan has been weirder than normal and Lucas."

"I know what's going on and am supporting and guiding,"Teddy assured, "but they have asked me not to tell anyone. Amelia I would be his aunt and talk to Adams. Make him dinner and get him to talk. He's worried about his mom."

"I will deal with my sisters," Ameila assured, "they can be difficult."

"Adams and Milan," Bailey asked.

"Separate issues," Teddy assured, "I'm aware and taking care of it."

"Do I have to worry about Nancy," Amelia asked.

"I don't know," Teddy replied, "I don't know your sisters."

"If I knew what the problem was," Amelia said.

"He needs to tell you himself," Teddy replied, "Milan will need all of our support."

"Can you tell us," Bailey asked.

"No," Teddy replied, "but I do have to go get ready for some interviews."

"For," Bailey asked.

"The reconstruction / trauma person," Teddy replied, "I want Megan Hunt but shes one of five on my short list and Richard and Catherine are on the panel with me so is Jackson and because it's trauma Owen."

"So it's two for Megan," Amelia smiled.

"It is," Teddy replied, "why we can't be the only voices."

"You're very systematic and fair," Bailey replied, "making changes but fairly."

"It has to be transparent," Teddy assured, "I really have to go."

"Go," Bailey replied.

Teddy texted Megan ahead of the interview, "got the results baby girl is healthy."

Megan, " girl?"

Teddy, "it's a Hope."

Megan, "choices?"

Owen, "Danielle for Dan and Hope for Teddy's younger sister."

Evelyn, "Beautiful name for a baby girl. I'm happy for you."
