Chapter 5: The Commotion

Gohan was flying towards gotham he sensed every dark ki in the city and went to them and asked them for joker whereabouts.

He went to black mask gang he disbanded them and mostly left them near brink of death and some in coma but he didn't find the joker, then he moved to next gang he did the same to them some tried to attack him but they couldn't touch him he did the same to them after hours of searching he went to joker.

"Who are you asked joker?" with a crooked smile.

"I am here to finish you" said Gohan in super saiyan form he did to mask his identity.

"I thought batman would come after me after what happened" said joker laughing.

"He cant come after the beating I gave him" said Gohan in a cold voice.

"What did you do to him?" asked joker.

"A little lesser than what I am going to do to you?" said Gohan.

Before joker could say anything he felt a fist in his gut he never felt this pain in his life not even batman hits this hard.

"You hit really hard not even batman hits this hard" said joker.

"I am not batman to play games with you so this will be your last day".

Then joker took a knife from his coat and tried to stab his neck but the knife broke before contact.

Then Gohan gave joker the beating of his lifetime he felt the pain coursing through his body he begged for mercy then Gohan rage boiled like never before.

He gave a strong punch in his gut which ruptured his organs "did you spared any one who asked to leave you" asked Gohan in a tone even joker felt the terror which he didn't fear his whole life, "you killed those children Jason, June they don't deserve that and you took their life for your sadistic hunger" yelled Gohan.

Gotham police got the information about the deaths and near comatose state of all criminals they arrived to check every site they found the same.

And the news spread throughout the media.

"I wonder who did this?" asked police.

"Don't know, but I don't know what to say should I be grate full to the person who did this to these criminals or should I pity them seeing them in this state" said commissioner Gordan.

Then they got a call regarding joker, they quickly left the scene.

All the media handles from gotham, metropolis, central city came to gotham as a person called them about some information about joker and said them to meet at gotham police station now all the media was present.

One of the reporter asked commissioner what information he said "we don't know we got the information at the same time you got".

While all were waiting a duffle bag dropped middle of them.

A police officer went to check it but he was stopped immediately by the league.

"Wait it may be a bomb" said superman, then he used his x-ray to scan it and horrified all the league saw the expression on his face.

"Superman what happened" asked wonder woman.

"We are late he did what he said" said superman.

"What are you saying superman" asked flash.

Then superman pointing his finger at the bag and said "it's joker," all near by him and the media was shocked, then the officer took it and opened immediately and found jokers head with a note all the media took the photos of the head superman confirmed it to be real and all were surprised.

Kara was most saddened one "Gohan what have you done" she thought.

Then the officer gave the note to gordan he opened it and read it says "WHAT THE CIRCUS LEAGUE FAILED TO DO I DID, SO THAT NO INNOCENT WOULD DIE UNJUSTFULLY DUE TO THE GAMES BETWEEN THE LEAGUE AND CRIMINALS" he read it loud and showed the paper to the media it was written with blood.

That's it there raised a commotion all over the country people were in two groups who supporting the league and who supported the unknown person when police tried to find who did this they couldn't find all they find was a person with golden aura and blond hair did this they only saw the back side of him.

Many opinions were in favour of golden hero.

"Would you give your opinion about the golden hero who killed joker" asked a reporter to a civilian.

"I support him he did what batman couldn't do" said the civilian.

"But killing is wrong and heroes don't kill" said the reporter.

"I have a brother he lives in gotham once he was kidnaped by joker along with another person the other person died before the joker killed my brother he was saved by batman and he handed the joker to police luckily my brother was saved but what about other person batman captured him many times but he didn't kill him and it costed many lives".

Another reporter asked the same another civilian she said the same "but after a month joker escaped and killed my brother" said a girl crying "that time there is no batman to save him if batman dared that day today my brother will be alive I thank who ever the golden hero thank you for avenging my brother no matter what other says you are a hero".

Many debates were held on tv, many thought league was not strong enough and they cared about fame and many said the league is weak many mixed opinions were formed about the league.

But the most surprising thing was crime rate went to zero in gotham which was a miracle all the gangs afraid to do any thing they heard what happened to others and joker many small criminals surrendered themselves to police saying we want to live not die which was spread like a wild fire over the country and crime rate decreased in other cities not as gotham all were afraid.

The league was watching the whole ordeal superman, wonder woman, flash, lantern, kara and manhunter were sitting in the meeting room.

They are struck.

"All the years of hard work ruined by a criminal" said lantern.

"He is not a criminal" said kara.

"Then what people will call murderers, criminals" said lantern.

"That's what he called us" said flash.

"Why? all we did was protect people" said lantern.

"Didn't you heard what he said all the criminals we arrest escape and repeat the same and people dies that's what he meant and even I hate to admit but it's the truth" said flash.

"But it doesn't give him right to call us criminals" retorted lantern.

"Not only him but the public was agreeing with that" said flash.

Lantern was silent by hearing that.

"But crime rate in gotham was zero for days and in other cities was low not even we could imagine or accomplish that" said flash.

"But it doesn't justify what he did" said batman from the call.

"What can we do we don't know where he is" said superman.

"But we need to find him" said batman.

"But first we should try to strengthen our relation with public If we capture him the small support we have will be shatter" said wonder woman.

"But Gohan is more important" said batman.

"I can't believe it" said supergirl.

"Kara what are you saying" asked superman.

"He is out of his mind" said kara pointing at batman, "he doesn't care about the league but want to find Gohan".

"Kara what he said is true we need to find Gohan before he does anything" said superman.

"Did he do anything these past few days or did he do anything these seven years he did what he thought justice in his view and we all know that joker is beyond redemption, but we didn't expect he will cause this show" said kara.

"He is dangerous he needs to be captured" said batman.

Now kara was pissed "what do you want bruce spit it out" yelled kara.

"None of you are considering what to do about the distrust public giving us and you want to catch him what will happened if the public finds we are trying to catch him, the small trust we had will be completely gone and no one would trust us said kara".

"We understand that kara but he is dangerous" said batman.

"What did you do when you knew joker is dangerous you capture him he escapes and kills again to provoke you the person you saved, next time is not lucky, did it hurt your ego that there is no one to play with you? or you are worried your kingdom of gotham has ruined? or did your ego hurt that he achieved what you can't do all these years in a day? yelled kara".

All were surprised by hearing that no one in the league didn't talk to batman like that.

"You don't know what I went through" gritted batman.

"Oh! Here he comes again when you don't have answer to our question you brings this do you think you are the person on earth who lost his parents when you are kid?, me and kal-el lost our planet, flash lost his mom when he is child, jonn lost his whole race and yet none of us stayed like you we took the help of people and we leaped through it heck even Gohan lost his father when he is 10 yet he stayed normal and all the children in orphanage died not knowing what happening to them. So don't act like you're the only one who has suffered. Your pain doesn't excuse ignoring the real issues at hand. We need to face the truth, take responsibility, and understand that our actions have consequences".

She paused for moment and started "now I understand why Gohan disgusted us instead of solving the present problem we are trying to solve nothing" said kara.

"There is nothing you can do to stop him he doesn't have any weakness like me or kal-el he is stronger than the whole league and he is not a kryptonian like us".

"We didnt used our full strength to stop him" said wonder woman.

"He faced enemies who can destroy planets with a small energy blast not even kal can do it, if the enemies he faced were so strong then imagine how powerful should he and his friends" should be said kara.

"If we continue like this I quit" declared kara.

"Kara" said superman.

"If you want to leave no one will stop you" said batman.

"I think kara is right you are wrong batman even if you don't like it you are wrong didn't you heard what that girl said", said flash.

"I am not leaving lest you will do something irreversible" said kara "although I am also wrong if I didn't insist him to come".

After a long pause jonn spoke "she is right we are not doing anything instead we are planning how to capture him and he is not a threat, if he is he would do it before anyone us could noticed".

"Don't forget about lex Luthor he will use this as advantage" said superman.

"Fine atlast you came to senses" said kara.

"What we should do?" asked flash.

"I will talk with UN and if possible we will held press conference" said wonder woman.

Gohan is staying in morgans house for the time they both are watching TV hearing about the public reaction.

"Wow you really did what you said", said morgan.

"I cant let him take another life, you know he begged for mercy" said Gohan.

She was surprised "I didn't know joker was capable of asking that" said morgan.

"He asked and he feared but I know he will do it again so I didn't took the chance as I experienced with what happened when my father did the same".

He told about his father and his alien heritage she was impressed by hearing that.

"Morgan" called Gohan.

"Yes Gohan".

"now I killed joker how do you see me" asked Gohan.

"Gohan I see you as my student nothing will changed about it" said morgan "I know you are not a bad person".

"I thought you would see me different" said Gohan.

"No Gohan".

"Do you think it is right to kill him the league didn't agreed with me they argued killing him wont do any good, I think they are searching for me or probably planning to bring me down" said Gohan.

"I don't know about that Gohan I don't, it's a dilemma Gohan our minds are not capable understanding beyond the human understanding but if killing him brings peace and solves problems and gives people assurance I will say its right the whole point of killing him wont do any good I don't agree to that, see the crime rate went to zero of course it will start again we cant stop it ended morgan".

"Thanks morgan" said Gohan.

"Don't mention it" said morgan.

"although league does help people all these years its not effective all knew that they had some morals but if those morals doesn't end suffering of people it's a waste" said morgan." And I will think the same if joker or anybody do some thing to the ones I care but I don't have the power to do anything".

"But the most important thing is how do you feel" said morgan.

"I felt like I avenged the kids that died unjustly and a burden lifted from my shoulders" said Gohan.

"Then don't worry about no matter others think don't let it sulk you" said morgan.

Then they remained silent.

"So what will you do now" asked morgan.

"I will move out so I wont be any burden to you and it may not be safe for you me staying here the league will find my location sooner if they find they will invade your privacy and personal life which I don't want and I will complete my school and complete my graduation at mit through scholar ship and I will full fill my mothers dream to become a scholar".

"Don't you want to be a hero the public likes you" said morgan.

"I don't want to give hopes to people I have failed the people who kept faith in me I am not ready" said Gohan.

"Gohan you can stay as long as you want it wont bother me and I think you will be the hero the world needed" morgan insisted.

"I don't know what to say but I will repay you" said Gohan.

"No need all I need is you need to complete your school with out any problems" said morgan.

"Thank's morgan there is nothing I can do to repay you" said Gohan "I will do any thing to protect you it's the only thing I can do for now" though gohan.

Now gohan killed joker what will happen next i am running out of ideas if any one has any ideas suitable for the story share them it may help me in writing the next chapter is in writing stage and many ideas for next fanfics are available like gogeta in DC although it will not come immediately or it many not come present iam concentrating on this and other stories i am writing read those stories i hope you will also like them.
