Hello dear readers!
I know a lot of you were probably expecting the first part of the 3 Parter (which I have finally officially titled "Forged By Fire") but the first chapter has been taking a little longer to write than expected between classes and work… so I wanted to post something small to tide you all over til then
When I remembered how many of you had asked if Ayden would be in the shorts, I realized that, since they most likely fall in between Apology Tour and Ghostfuckers when Ayden is taking a break from I.M.P., she might not be involved in them buuuuuuut then I thought it'd maybe be a cool idea to write Jin's possible involvement with going on missions in place of their sister (still trying to see how I could work their and/or Ayden's involvement in Hell Belle's), so I hope you enjoy!

3rd Person POV
The scene opens on the desk at the I.M.P. office where a mission folder is tossed open on Blitzø's desk to reveal the mission info from the client;
TARGET: ?
LOCATION: ANTARCTICA near McMurdo Station
DESCRIPTION: A man-eating beast, no clear description
INFO: Client wants us to hunt down the man-eater that killed him and now poses a risk to his fellow researchers.
Personally I think he's being a little bitch, he's already dead so why go through the trouble of hiring someone to… why are you still typing? Are you writing this all down? Moxx, I swear to fucking Satan you are beyond stupi-
Right before the scene changes to a portal opening up to Antarctica with Blitzø, Millie, Moxxie, and Jin falling out of it ungracefully, landing on their faces, all clad in thick winter clothing and gear.
"Ah, that was a big jump…" Blitzø noted while hugging himself before Millie stood up and whimpered as she shivered.
She noticed Jin was still stuck head down in the snow close to her and grabbed them by their back to pull them out and hug them close revealing they were wearing a fancy little fleece-lined coat with fluffy cuffs on their front paws, snow boots on their hind paws, and a trapper hat that nearly engulfed their head underneath the large fluff-lined hood.
Blitzø chattered out while trying to warm himself up by rubbing his hands together quickly,
"Christ on a stick, I'm freezing my little red cock off!"
"So waaaarm…!" Millie sighed with some relief as she hugged Jin closer since they were actually a lot warmer than she thought, whether it was because of the clothes that Remi got for them or their connection with their sister and her fire powers was unknown.
"G-g-gimme!" Blitzø grabbed Jin out of Millie's hands and started lowering them to his lower region making Jin yowl,
"MROW!"
Before they jumped out of his hands and crouched down in a "don't even think about trying that again" stance with their fur puffed up before Blitzø huffed, still futilely trying to warm up,
"Fffffuck! Where is that thing supposed to be?"
"The client said it was near the r-research station." Millie answered, still shivering from the intense cold before Moxxie got up from where he'd fallen hauling a large backpack and asked in a chattering tone,
"Th-th-th-that research station?"
The silhouette of the research station visible in the distance from where they were all standing with the sound of a door repeatedly opening and shutting from the wind and the four of them trudged their way through the snow while they all, minus Jin, were shivering and whimpering from the cold.
Jin made it to the station first and lowered themself to the floor in a frightened manner after they saw what was inside and Moxxie observed while surveying the destroyed station,
"Oh crumbs, that can't be good…"
"Oh sh- yikes, yi-" Blitzø made it up the steps behind Jin and stuttered in shock after he'd quickly canvassed the area and saw all the mutilated, torn-apart, and half-frozen corpses of the human scientists.
"What happened here?" Moxxie questioned as he made it inside as well and picked Jin up to comfort them with head strokes before Millie noted while holding up the top half of a human,
"These guys were torn to shreeeds. I've seen Wrath b-b-b-beasts less brutal than this."
"What and/or who could've done this?" Moxxie questioned as he touched one of the corpses with a free hand and it came back with some blood while Blitzø stayed at the entrance with a mildly horrified look on his face.
*RAAAAW!*
Jin bolted out of Moxxie's arms in a shocked stance at the monstrous roar that came from outside before they all turned to look out the shattered window to see the outline of a creature in the distance that looked to be a leopard seal as it unleashed another roar,
*RAAAAAAW!*
"Uh, that, probably." Blitzø suggested before devising and directing everyone, "Okay, Moxxie, get up top, Millie, Jin, cover the entrances, I got it here."
He positioned himself in one of the broken windows while Moxxie acknowledged,
"Yes, sir."
Before he climbed to the top and lay on his stomach as he readied his sniper rifle and looked through the scope to see the giant leopard seal running towards them.
"Y-you got him, Mox?" Blitzø called up as he readied his own gun and Moxxie answered,
"Yes sir."
Before Blitzø shouted enthusiastically,
"Sweet, let's turn him into some SWIIIIISS cheese!"
Before he started firing at the seal, managing to hit it a few times to expose more of its bones and tear into its flesh but not deterring it from continuing running towards them until Moxxie shot once, missed, and lined up a second shot, taking a steadying breath before firing and finally killing it with a shot that blew the seal's top half of its head clean off.
With a final pained bark, the lifeless body skidded to a stop in front of them as they left the station to admire their kill with Blitzø gloating as he planted a foot against the carcass Millie and Jin started examining,
"Guess he met his match, heh-heh. Eat shit in Hell, polar slut!" Before praising and suggesting as he kept shivering, "Good job, Mox, now let's get out of this frozen fuckhole."
*HSSSSS!* Jin hissed to get their attention before Millie spoke up for them,
"Hold it, Blitzø. Look at these marks." She gestured to some slashes on the blubbery skin of the seal before reporting, "They weren't made by no bullets." Before Jin pushed a fin back with their head to expose some ringed bite marks that Millie pointed out for them, "And here, bite marks."
"Sh-sh-sh-shit!"
"Uh, what? What's the problem?" Moxxie asked as he came down from the station
"This slut wasn't running toward us!" Blitzø started to correct their previous theory before Millie finished it with,
"He was running away... from something else…"
The three of them circled up with their backs against each other as they spun around to survey their surroundings with Jin still perched on top of the seal carcass sniffing the air to see if they could find anything before Moxxie beat them to the punch by shouting while pointing to the distance,
"Look!"
And the three of them looked to see a lone penguin on top of a glacier with blood dripping from its beak glaring down at the imps and hellkitten.
"Drop him!" Blitzø ordered and Moxxie obliged, killing the penguin with a well-placed shot through the chest,
*PEW!*
The body dropped almost immediately after and Blitzø cursed,
"Shit."
Right before a whole colony of penguins appeared on the glacier edge and he continued his statement with an erroneous,
"Fuck, that's like ten."
"Well, maybe those ones are nice?" Millie tried to look on the bright side as she patted her lap and Jin was seen swiveling their ears around to catch that the penguins were all chattering and repeating after each other,
*WHO ARE THEY?*
*WHO ARE THEY? WHO ARE THEY?*
*WHO ARE THEY?*
Before one penguin stepped forward and uttered with a murderous glower,
*SLURS*
Causing Jin to recoil back with a paw to their mouth in an appalled manner and their eyes widened in shock at what they heard right before they meow-squeaked from how fast Blitzø picked them up to yell panicked,
"Mr-eek!"
"They're not! RUUUN!"
At the leader's mark from both sides, the penguins started storming down the mountainside sliding on their bellies with their rows of razor-sharp teeth bared while the imps fled back to the research station.
"Mox! Come on!" Millie called out to her husband before pulling him inside after her and the two of them caught their breath.
At the same time, Blitzø started pulling ruined furniture and equipment over the door to barricade against the penguins.
However, it only partially worked as they started poking their heads through the crevices around the furniture, all still slurring from the way Jin was cringing with each squawk.
Millie and Moxxie worked together to keep the barricade in place before Moxxie yelled before one of the penguins bit his rifle in half leaving them essentially defenseless,
"Sir, uh, could you get us out of here?"
Blitzø was seen on the ground furiously rubbing at the Asmodean crystal on his wrist while muttering frustratedly,
"Fucking wrist crystal!"
"What's the holdup, Blitzø?!" Millie shouted impatiently from where she was bracing her body against the barricade where one penguin got through but was soon tackled to the side by Jin as they rapidly slashed at the penguin's chest multiple times to kill it, spraying them with its blood before Blitzø complained,
"I can't just make it go, okay, I'm still getting used to this fucking thing!"
He banged on the crystal with a fist making some purple sparks fly out before he started rolling and thrashing around trying to get it to work to no avail while grumbling to himself,
"Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it!"
Chomping down on the crystal while falling to the ground on his back and kicking his legs around before Millie started arguing,
"It's from Lust! You can't just brute-force it. You gotta treat it ~riiight.~ ~Caress it.~"
She made the motion of a handjob before another penguin burst through behind her only to be shot down by Moxxie, who'd managed to get one of his spare guns out while Jin was seen being yanked on by three different penguins as they each ripped at their clothes.
"I don't know, I... I've never been good at this shit." Blitzø tried to protest before Millie shouted while decapitating a penguin who tried to sneak through the drawers of the cabinet she was holding back,
"Use your tongue!"
Blitzø started aggressively tonguing the crystal haphazardly with loud licking noises as Millie, Moxxie, and Jin, and even the penguins wrestling with them watched with slightly disgusted expressions before Moxxie questioned incredulously,
"How do you not know how to do this?"
"Moxxie! I'm a fucking top!" Blitzø shouted back as he continued licking sloppily while Jin finally managed to kill two of the three penguins who'd been fighting with them but one was still clinging to them trying to yank off their ears with its fins and they rolled around on the floor wrestling with each other.
"Try spelling the alphabet!" Moxxie suggested before blushing and resuming shooting off the penguins outside still trying to get in and Blitzø recited, stuttering a bit while holding the crystal,
"A... bleh, C- B!"
"With your tongue!" Millie emphasized while she stomped down on the penguin's head, crushing it beneath her foot and freeing Jin just as Blitzø tried to cover his blunder with,
"I knew that."
Before methodically licking the crystal while reciting the alphabet as suggested.
"MRE!" Jin yowled when a penguin bit down on their tail but, at the same time, small rings of fire and searing heat shot out of their mouth and scorched another penguin who was running at them with a fragment of a microscope while Blitzø still wasn't able to make the portal open.
Moxxie was trying to push back the penguins trying to get in since he'd run out of bullets when he huffed impatiently while rolling his eyes,
"Oh for Satan's sake!"
Before shoving Blitzø's hand into his mouth enough for him to start vigorously tonguing the crystal with audible lewd noises.
"Oh, damn…" Blitzø uttered in surprise while blushing just before Millie praised,
"~I taught him that…~"
When the portal opened abruptly and Moxxie deadpanned while wiping his mouth with his sleeve,
"Can we go, please?"
Blitzø entered the portal back to the office first, still blushing as he looked back at Moxxie who covered his face with his hands in embarrassment as he followed his boss through and Jin hopped in after them, their jacket roughed up with all the fluffy bits splattered and stained with blood, one of their little boots was missing, and their trapper hat was askew on their head but were otherwise unharmed.
As soon as the three of them passed through the portal, Millie abandoned the barricade and jumped through the portal, somersaulting once she made it through and spotting a leaking canister labeled "Gas" past the mini wave of penguins that now surged into the station.
"Meow!"
Millie quickly looked down to see Jin with a matchbox in their mouth and she grabbed it, pulled out a match, and yelled while striking the match and lighting the box on fire,
"Eat this, bitches! Hah!"
Before she tossed it through the portal and set the room ablaze with the ignition of the gas, the penguins crying out in pain as she laughed maniacally and gleefully,
"WEH!"
"WEH!"
"Hahahahahahahaha!"
Moxxie and Blitzø watched her laugh with disbelief and a little fear before the portal closed and the station exploded in a fiery mass of light, smoke, and flaming penguin body parts.
All but one penguin was killed in the blast and it waddled up to the crater left behind where the station used to be and swore while raising a fisted fin to the air,
"*SLURS*!"
AN- Hope that was at least a little enjoyable!
So here's the deal; For every two weeks I don't post a part of "Forged In Fire" I'm gonna try to post another short since they're pretty quick to get done and I don't wanna leave you all completely hanging while I'm working on these big chapters that are gonna have A LOT going on in each one and if I wind up not finishing the whole story before Ghostfuckers comes out then it might actually work out in terms of how I'm going to lead from "Forged In Fire" to that episode
I'm debating quite a few things as far as these shorts, like if I'll do art for them like Jin's winter outfit, if I'll do… certain missions *COUGH* Weeaboo-Boo *COUGH* and, like I mentioned in the pre-chapter notes, if I'll be able to do Hell's Belles with Ayden or Jin's involvement but please keep in mind these are only side-projects so I'm trying not to devote too much energy to them when I'm still working on the main storyline
Apart from that, I've been working on some Hazbin and Helluva to be posted over on Deviant Art soon (like a Halloween-themed Ayden and Via piece I've almost finished up) so that's another thing to keep an eye out for in the upcoming weeks
