Chapter 12: Culprit, Witness, and Turnabout

July 2, 8:00 AM

Advanced Nurturing High School

Classroom 1-D

I was already in my seat as class was about to start in a matter of moments. I wished that I made progress toward finding the true identity of the culprit behind the physical assault incidents that took place yesterday and the day before that, but I haven't had any luck in that department. I wasn't able to see anything that would give me a clue regarding the culprit's true appearance so there was nothing to be done but wait until I'm given another chance.

So, it was sufficient to say that what happened after my encounter with 'him' was uneventful. There was something I did in my spare time, but I'll explain that at a later time. The only thing of note worth mentioning right now was that I had to convince Horikita that the Sudo we knew and the faker pretending to be him were not the same person. She was skeptical at first, which was completely understandable given the circumstances. But then she-

'But… I think you're on to something. The way 'Sudo' acted there was… inconsistent. It was like he really was a completely different person.' Said this to me. She was completely in the dark as to how this 'Sudo' came to be. But even then, she wholeheartedly believed that there was something strange about 'him.' That's why she-

"Midoriya… do you by chance know how that… imposter was able to move like that? And the way he was able to break the glass… it doesn't make any sense to me. Was he… even human?" Horikita asked with a face that was utterly perplexed. I couldn't blame her. Any normal person wouldn't be able to comprehend what just happened. That's why I had to-

"No. He just ran really fast. I also noticed that the glass already was on the verge of breaking since there were cracks before the imposter even pushed me against it. That's why it broke. That's all there is to it." I replied as I lied through my teeth. I hated lying. Especially to someone I cared for as a friend. But what else was I supposed to do? Tell her that guy used superpowers?! I might as well tell her that I'm from another world while I was at it! I had no choice but to lie! But most of all, I didn't want her to be dragged into this. I had to handle this. Alone. After all…

… I'm the only hero this world has.

"Yeah. That has to be it. Just… promise me you'll get stiches for your hand." Horikita replied before walking away. Unbeknownst to me, she knew that I wasn't telling her the truth. But she knew also instinctively knew that I must have been lying for a reason. Whatever that reason was, she could not deduce. All she could do was bite her lip and try to forget about that encounter with the imposter. Because even if she tried to rack her brain to figure out a solution, it wouldn't make sense to her.

As for me, I managed to basically figure things out. Sudo and 'Sudo' were two completely different people, one was my classmate with a hot-headed attitude, and the other was the culprit behind the incidents. That I was sure of. There was also the grey clay like substance that was left at the scene of the crime both times. There's no way that was a coincidence which means…

… The culprit has a Quirk that allows him to change his appearance!

'You know I thought you'd be stronger after what 'he' said about you. Oh well. Guess you weren't everything you were cracked up to be. Hahaha!' Combine this with the fact he said this, and everything connected to each other like pieces of a puzzle. The following is just my theory with the current evidence I hold so take all of this with a grain of salt.

First, the Doctor orchestrated the physical assault incident from the other day. Why? It was probably with the intention of drawing me out. After all, for the past three months or so I've been 'awake' in this world, the hero 'Deku' has been kept under wraps. There was nothing that I needed to do that required me putting on a costume and going out to patrol for potential villains.

However, that all changed yesterday, when 'someone else' with a Quirk was revealed to me. This is no coincidence. All of this is a coordinated attack by the Doctor and the culprit who are both trying to make me reveal myself to the world. But then another question arises. Why go about it in such a roundabout way when they could have simply nipped me in the bud when I was asleep?

'Izuku Midoriya… behold! In a matter of moments, you will come face to face with your own personal hell! For everything that you and those despicable heroes have done, consider this my revenge! Hahaha!' Simple. It's because this is a game for the Doctor. He could have tried killing me countless times up to this point. No. He could have got rid of me before I even ended up in 'this world' back in the hospital.

This means that the Doctor wants me to suffer for what I have done… putting an end to both his Master and Tomura Shigaraki. Killing me before I faced my 'personal hell' would be a complete contradiction. Who knows? Perhaps he would have ended up killing me if I kept myself secluded from the rest of the world for a bit longer. But he didn't.

That's why I can say with certainty that Horikita truly 'saved' me roughly three months ago. Because if I chose to let my despair overcome me then I would have surely died. But now everything has changed. I've accepted 'this world' as my new world. Sure, I don't have many allies that I can count on like I did in the past, but I have one, and that's good enough for now.

All of this time, since I first 'awakened' in this world, the Doctor has most likely been watching me. He was watching everything that has happened to me so far, the good, the bad, and everything in between. Why else would he wait for the happiest moment that I had so far to send me a rude awakening?

Continuing on with my theory, he managed to manipulate someone who attends this school to do his bidding. But no one sane would listen to someone telling them to fight some hero from another world. That person would laugh it off as some old man's delusions. That's why he offered this person 'Quirks.'

This is proof that whatever the doctor told this person is something he can't not take seriously. After all, 'Quirks' are all a product from the old world I grew up in and not this one. Such a thing would be considered something that only exists within a comic book. But this is a world where the supernatural does not seem to exist.

So, when someone is offered something as fantastical as a superpower, how would they be able to reject that? They wouldn't be able to. That piqued this 'Person X's' interest and made him feel like he could do anything. As for the Quirks he got, I think I figured out that too. The strength enhancing Quirk was probably nothing special. Just a basic run of the mill one like Muscular's Quirk but not nearly as powerful.

As for the appearance changing Quirk, I believe that I have encountered it before. I've only interacted with her on a handful occasions but from what I was told about her by Uraraka then this fits the bill. The Quirk that 'Person X' got was Transformation! And the person that originally had this Quirk was Himiko Toga! One of the members of the League of Villains from my old world.

Then there's the final Quirk, 'Person X' had, the speed enhancing one. It definitely was not Iida or Gran Torino's Quirks. That I was sure of. As for who the Quirk originally belonged to and which one it was, I have a theory about it. I remember there being a Pro Hero named High-Speed Hero: O'Clock when I was a kid. His Quirk 'Overclock' allowed him to run at high speeds and process information far faster than any normal human. But O'Clock suddenly retired one day. That was roughly a decade ago. But it's possible that his Quirk was stolen by All For One.

If I think about it this way everything makes perfect sense. 'Person X' used Transformation to transform into Sudo, he then assaulted those students from Class C. Sudo is a student from my class so I would learn about what everyone thought he did as a result of us being classmates. I wouldn't let him be found guilty if he wasn't the true culprit so I would have no choice but to act.

As for how Horikita's brother fits into this puzzle, I have no idea. Suzune believes that her brother did nothing wrong and I believe her. So, if I think about yesterday's attack as 'Person X' pretty much saying 'You are wrong if you believe anyone else but me is the true culprit, hahaha!' Then that gives me another reason to believe that her words are the truth.

'… Midoriya… I know I shouldn't be asking you this… but… please believe in him. I know you don't like my brother… but he's not a bad person. He hasn't done anything wrong. That's what I believe. So… please… help me prove that everything wasn't his fault.' I wasn't planning to let this mystery remain unsolved, not by a long shot after what she said yesterday. But now I have a chance to kill two birds with one stone. (Metaphorically speaking I would never do something so cruel)

To clear Horikita's brother's name and put the real villain behind bars. That's why I'm going to find the truth behind the culprit's identity. But where do I start? I lost my only lead. And I don't have a single clue what class 'Person X' belongs to. He could be in the same year as me. He could be a second year. He could even be a third year. I don't want to suspect that he's one of my classmates. But even if he's not from Class 1-D…

… That leaves eleven other classes with a grand total of two hundred seventy-four suspects.

"Darn it! I'm not a detective! How the heck am I supposed to find out who really did it?!" I unintentionally yelled out of frustration much to the surprise of my classmates. Aside from Horikita who I could vaguely hear her say something like 'You're screaming again. Please stop.' Wait a second…

"Midoriya. Who did… what exactly?" Chabashira asked with a slightly agitated look on her face and words that matched it. It was then that I realized to my utmost horror that I once again-

'… OH CRAP! I SAID THAT OUT LOUD!' I thought internally while my eyes bulged out! Quick! I got to make up something on the fly! FAST!

"So… um… I was watching this new episode of Detective Conan… and I was really stumped by how I couldn't find out who committed to crime an- I spoke only to be interrupted before I could finish speaking.

"That's enough. I'm currently lecturing you about something more important than some children's show. So, keep your thoughts to yourself and pay attention." Chabashira spoke in her usual monotone voice, but I knew she wasn't happy in the slightest.

"Yes Ma'am." I muttered out of embarrassment. The classroom went silent as I could hear some of my classmates laugh at me in the background as my face undoubtably became as red as a tomato. Great. I embarrassed myself. Again. Haah… why do I always say whatever's on my mind like some idiot? I couldn't find an answer to that question, so I listened to the professor's lecture. This went on for a while till it was almost time for the scheduled lunch break to commence. But before that-

"Students. I have a special announcement regarding the events of what had transpired the other day. As you can see, Sudo-Kun is present alongside all of you. So, it goes without saying that he wasn't the culprit behind the physical assault incident. As for the true culprit… I do not have the privilege to disclose his name but he's being dealt with by the authorities. That is all I have to say. You can all go and eat lunch now." Chabashira announced as I noticed a few people breath sighs of relief, mainly Sudo's friends. But in the midst of that I heard-

"Serves him right." Sudo mumbled to himself, but I heard it clearly even while being at the other end of the classroom. So, it goes without saying that the person who was a bit closer to him heard it as well. That same person then stood up from where she was sitting as she walked quickly toward him.

"Horikita!" I yelled out as I tried to stop her but-

'DONG!' The ball rang at exactly the same time, cutting my voice out as my classmates stood up from their seat and attempted to leave the classroom. So, it was sufficient to say my avenue to her was blocked off by them. But I knew what was about to happen next. And I couldn't let that happen!

"Please, excuse me!" I tried yelling out, but I was ignored by my classmates as they were all in the midst of talking to one another while trying to leave the classroom. This left me with no choice but to squeeze through them.

"Hey, watch it!" Someone shouted as I had no choice but to reply with a quick 'sorry' if it meant preventing what was about to transpire! But I would end up being too late. Because what resulted only a second later-

"Sudo… you're wrong. My brother… did nothing wrong." Suzune declared as her words caught the attention of the red headed man as well as his friends. Sudo wasn't all too surprised to see Horikita, but his friends certainly were.

"Hey, Sudo. What is Horikita talking about?" Ike whispered as he wasn't aware of what happened the other day. To be fair, only me, Suzune, Sudo, and Chabashira knew of what transpired in the Student Council Room. So, he wouldn't know unless his friend told him about it. But he kept quiet.

"Oh boy, she's pissed. What did you do to piss her off that bad? Hahaha." Yamauchi spoke as he proceeded to laugh to himself while not taking the situation seriously in the slightest. But that carefree attitude didn't last for much longer as Sudo would end up saying something that he would later regret.

"If you truly believe that… then maybe you and your brother aren't all that different." Sudo replied coldly as he couldn't even look at her anymore. It was understandable. After all, how could he ever accept Horikita's words as the truth after it appeared that her brother tried to frame him and get him expelled. Sudo couldn't accept it. He couldn't forgive Horikita or her brother.

'My little sister assigned to Class D… and I'm the one who bears the shame of it. Leave this school right now.' But even still, I felt disgusted with him for drawing a comparison between Horikita and her brother. Someone who had no right to talk to his own flesh and blood like that. Though I knew he wasn't going to apologize and stay firm within his beliefs. And just as I managed to catch up with them-

'Slap!' I saw her slap him right across the cheek. I was so stunned that I didn't know what to say. But Sudo was even more surprised as he was utterly dumbfounded and could do nothing but feel his cheek sting and look at her face as tears slid down her cheeks. His friends didn't say a word either. No one said a word. The entire class was speechless at what they were watching. Not a single person knew what to do or say as they just stood there as if time froze. The only exception was Chabashira who heard the slap but only saw the aftermath.

"Hori- Chabashira spoke but she was cut off before she could even finish saying the name of her student because the straw that broke the camel's back had long since been broken.

"Why?! Why do you hate my brother so much!? You think you know everything about a person due to one interaction with them?! You don't know a damn thing about him! You don't know a damn thing about me or anyone else! So, before you have the audacity to say something as hypocritical as that, try taking the time to actually learn who someone really is damn it!" Suzune shouted before storming out of the classroom, only leaving her tears behind.

"H-Horikita!" I yelled out as I chased after her but before I could get to her Chabashira blocked the entrance to the classroom, allowing Suzune to escape.

"Get out of my way!" I yelled out but she stopped me by putting a hand onto my chest.

"Let her go. She needs to cool off. You both do." Chabashira replied as I realized that I was clenching my fists and gritting my teeth out of anger. I was furious at Sudo for saying such a terrible thing to my friend. But more than that…

… I was even more mad at myself for not being able to do anything for her. Chabashira blocked the entrance for about another thirty seconds until she had no choice but to let us leave so that we could eat lunch. After that I bolted out of the classroom and looked down the hallway only to find no one resembling Horikita as she was already long gone. I then looked out to the ground out of regret until-

"M-Midoriya." Someone said as I felt my anger reach a boiling point.

"WHAT?!" I yelled out at the top of my lungs only to notice that it was one of my classmates. She was a girl of average height with waist length pink hair tied in low twin pigtails and swept bangs on the left side of her face as well as red glasses. But upon noticing her face I noticed an expression of fear on it as it became clear to me that my shout scared her. I instantly felt disgusted with myself and averted my eyes from her. If I remember correctly, her name is-

"I'm sorry, Sakura. I didn't mean to snap at you like that. I'm frustrated. Frustrated with what happened the other day. Frustrated that I couldn't help Horikita when she needed it. Just so… frustrated." I admitted to myself as I stared at the ground while gritting my teeth as I felt like I was on the verge of crying.

Why was I telling her all this? It's not like I knew her all that well. She's not even one of the people in my study group. I've barely interacted with her in these past three months. Unlike the other girls, (With the exception of Horikita) the girl named Airi Sakura mostly kept to herself and was very softspoken. (Even giving me a run for my money with how shy she can be.) But this was the first time where I really talked to her instead of the usual 'good morning.' Even if it was just me doing the talking. Why am I even thinking about all th-

"Midoriya. I have something I need to tell you." Sakura spoke as my thought process was interrupted as I was completely taken aback. Not only was I in deep thought prior to this but now she was speaking more confidently and with a serious look on her face. I didn't know what to say as our classmates and other students passed us left and right, so I just stood there before nodding.

"Ah!" I gasped as to my utmost surprise; she then grabbed my hand and began walking forward. I walked with Sakura as she led past the hoard of students and up several flights of stairs till, we reached the roof of the school. It was my first time being up there, so I found myself looking at the city in the distance.

"Wow. I can even see my apartment over there." I muttered to myself as the wind blew my hair back and forth before I heard an 'Ahem.' I then looked toward the source of the voice to notice that it came from Sakura.

"Oh right. S-Sorry about ignoring you. What's up." I asked with a smile on my face to notice that she was gripping her skirt while averting her eyes until she grabbed her phone out of her pocket. She then tapped on it a few times and then handed it to me with a confident look on her face.

'It looks like she wants to show me something. I wonder what it could be?' I thought internally before taking her phone only to notice what was on her phone and to my utmost surprise it was a suggestive photo of her posing in a bikini. My eyes shot wide open upon noticing it.

"I-I CAN'T LOOK AT THIS!" I shouted at the top of my lungs as I tried handing Sakura back her phone all while flailing my arms. Sakura looked at me with a bewildered look on her face before taking back her phone. She then tapped the screen to turn it on and to her utmost horror-

"EEEEEEEEEEP!" She screamed at the top of her lungs before swiping the screen of her phone a few times until she showed it once more and pointed at it a few more times with a face that was as red as a tomato. It was then that I noticed what Sakura really wanted to show me. It was a video and it had already started playing. And what I saw shocked me to my very core. It was footage of the physical assault that took place on two days ago!

"Y-You were there?! Why didn't you say so sooner?!" I yelled out as my jaw dropped. Now that I think about it-

'Darn it! I'm not a detective! How the heck am I supposed to find out who really did it?!' Was that why she told me this all of a sudden? If so, I'm impressed she was able to deduce that I was on the case! But as my smile returned, my eyes went wide as I expected Sakura to respond but my yell had the opposite effect as she clamped up and began sweating out of nervousness. I then realized my mistake and took a deep breath, calming myself in the process.

"I'm sorry for shouting again. But I'm thankful for you showing this to me. Thank you, Sakura." I replied as I thanked her as she stared at me like a deer in the headlights before averting her gaze with an embarrassed look on her face and nodding in response.

"AH! U-U-Um… M-M-Midoriya…" Sakura stammered out of utmost surprise. Because this time I grabbed her hand and led her out of the roof and back into the school. I then smiled to myself.

"You don't need to be afraid. I know I already said this but I'm truly thankful, Sakura. You've helped me. I just need your help one more time. You don't mind accompanying me to the Student Council room, right?" I asked with a smile on my face as I closed my eyes. So, I didn't see her reaction as her eyes shot wide open before she looked from side to side until she-

"S-Sure, Midori-YAH! Sakura spoke with a shout at the end as I began sprinting with her down the stairs and taking sharp turns throughout the school's hallways till, I reached-

"I'M HERE!" I announced as I opened the door to the Student Council room with a face that certainly resembled All Might's iconic smile before my face reverted back to how it usually looks upon noticing the person who was inside of the room. I've already encountered her a few times, so I instantly recognized her as-

"My, my. Now, what do I have the pleasure of seeing you with such confidence all of a sudden?" The voice belonging to the girl named Arisu Sakayanagi asked as she tilted her head toward me with a smug smile on her face. But I wasn't afraid! Far from it! After all, I have Sakura with me!

"Manabu Horikita didn't assault those students from Class 1-C the other day! And he didn't cover up anything either!" I declared as I pointed at Sakayanagi as my declaration sent a wind of justice throughout the room that almost knocked the beret off her head! But she was unfazed by this!

"Oh, you seem rather assured of your belief. Then show me. What evidence have you brought with you that confirms your beliefs?" Sakayanagi asked while grinning as she didn't take me seriously in the slightest. Oh, boy do I have something-or rather someone to show her!

"Even better! I have a witness! Introducing Airi Sakura!" I yelled out with a smile on my face as I pulled her forward before pointing at her as if I was showing her off like some salesman showing off an expensive car.

"… T-That's my name." Sakura muttered with an embarrassed look on her face as she nodded. I then noticed Sakayanagi raise an eyebrow as it was crystal clear to me that this unforeseen development piqued her interest.

"Interesting. I suppose you have something that proves you were at the scene of the incident, Sakura, was it?" Sakayanagi replied as she approached us slowly with the cane in her hand as I approached with her while gesturing Sakura forward to meet her halfway. And upon reaching her-

"Take a look at this!" I yelled out with a confident smile as I showed her Sakura's phone. She then stared at it for a few seconds until her expression soured.

"I-Is this some sort of practical joke? If so, I'm not laughing." Sakayanagi replied with a disgusted look on her face which confused me. I then looked at Sakura's phone only to see that it was the same picture of her-

"NO! NOT THAT!" I shouted at the top of my lungs while my eyes bulged out with what surely was a horrified look on my face before I swiped on the phone's screen, only encountering even more suggestive photos of Sakura until she noticed this and grabbed her phone out of my hands. She then clicked on the video and pressed play as Sakayanagi watched the entirety of the video. Arisu then paused for a few seconds until-

"And… what does this prove exactly?" Sakayanagi asked with a smirk on her face as I gritted my teeth upon noticing it.

"It PROVES that Manabu COULDN'T have been the one who assaulted those students! I mean look at it! His hair isn't green, it's black!" I snapped back as I pointed at the still shot of the perpetrator with his back to the camera which showcased his dark green hair! Something that was not the case with Manabu's appearance! Which means he can't be the cul-

"Then who is this person? Can you tell me that? How about his motive for wanting to frame that obnoxious red headed boy?" Sakayanagi spoke with a smug smile on her face as my eyes went wide and so did Sakura's eyes. Even with this proof…

… Is it still not enough to prove Manabu's innocence?!

"My, my. If you can't even tell me his name or reason for perpetrating the crime, then you really don't have anything to prove. Do you honestly expect me to believe something as half-baked as this video that could have been easily edited to make it look like the perp had green hair? Now, that I look at it, that guy in the video looks like you a bit." Sakayanagi continued as I clenched my fists out of anger.

"That isn't me!" I snapped back with a face that was truly aggravated as my frustrations returned with a vengeance. I genuinely thought that this proof would be enough to prove Manabu's innocence! Is… is it really hopeless unless I catch the guy in the video?! I don't know who he is! How the hell am I supposed to find someone out of over two hundred seventy people?!

"Now, that's a good look on you, Izuku Midoriya. That hopelessness. Oh, do I love seeing it. You know, you were so 'hopeful' upon entering this room, Moreso then I had seen before. But now you look more hopeless too! Fufufu." Sakayanagi continued as she laughed to herself with a satisfied look on her face.

"And you know what's the best part? Even if this 'proof' of yours proves that Manabu couldn't have committed the crime, you do realize that the footage in the camera was still edited to make it look like that red headed ignoramus did it. He's the only one that could have done it! Wow! You forgot about that detail, didn't you?!" Sakayanagi asked as that sense of dread she made me feel on other occasions returned as I unintentionally let go of Sakura's phone with her barely catching it in time. But I couldn't help it. I…

"That's right. You failed. You can try again as many times as you like but unless you find the true culprit and get him to confess that's the only way you can really 'prove' that Manabu didn't beat up those clowns in Class C. Oh, but that does nothing at all to prove he didn't edit the security camera footage so either way you've completely and absolutely fail- Sakayanagi ruthlessly mocked me but was cut off before she could finish by the door to the classroom opening with a 'creak.'

"…" Everyone remained silent as this unexpected visitor entered the room as I didn't recognize him in the slightest. Sakura didn't too as she could only stare at the person in confusion. As for Sakayanagi-

"What is it? I'm in the middle of something. Speak your mind already." Sakayanagi declared as she glared daggers at the person. But he didn't respond. Instead, he showed his back which confused me until my eyes shot wide open upon recognizing it! I've seen that person before! It was the same person in the video! I assumed that the culprit had black hair but that was a mistake due to the dim lighting! Which can only mean that this person is-

"IT'S YOU!" I shouted at the top of my lungs before tackling him to the ground! I can't let him escape! Not while he has a Quirk! I don't know why the hell he's here! But that doesn't matter! I've got him! I've got the true culprit at last! You aren't escaping this time you villain!

"Midoriya!" Sakura yelled out of surprise as both her and Sakayanagi were surprised over me apprehending the culprit!

"That proves nothing! Unless you get him to confess the- Sakayanagi spoke only to be cut off before she could finish speaking.

"It was… me. I… Daichi Ishizaki confess to physically assaulting my classmates from Class 1-C… Kyogo Komiya and Reo Kondo." The man named Daichi Ishizaki confessed as my eyes went wide once more! But I wasn't the only one who was surprised. So, was-

"That's absurd! Why would you just confess to your crimes you numbskull?!" Sakayanagi yelled out of utmost surprise as her tone of voice changed completely. Her confident tone was replaced by an annoyed tone of voice that made it clear that she did not see this coming from a mile away. On that point I agree with her. Even still-

"You heard that! He confessed loud and clear! That means Manabu Horikita is undoubtably innocent!" I shouted before pointing at her as the winds of justice returned! And almost knocked her onto the floor. This made me flinch as I was about to say 'Are you okay?!' Before Sakayanagi regained her footing.

"So what? You keep forgetting that Manabu Horikita is the ONLY person who could have committed the crime of tampering with the footage! Don't you know that he's the only one who have deep faked that annoying red head's face on that utter braindead fool!" Sakayanagi snapped back as I was taken aback at how mad she was getting. In a sense I felt bad for her. It's not like I enjoy pissing people off. But I can't stop now. Not when I'm so close to uncovering the truth! There's got to be someone else! Think Midoriya! Back to what Chabashira sa-AH!

"Actually… there's one other person who could have made it look like Sudo. After all, he's the guy at the top of this entire school. So, naturally he would have control over the security camera's footage." I replied while staring at Sakayanagi as I noticed her eyes go wide and gritting her teeth in anger.

"You aren't insulating that my- Sakayanagi spoke but I cut her off as I nodded in approval. You know, before I say what I'm about to say, I've had my suspicions of him. To be fair, I haven't even met the guy in my life but if he raised Sakayanagi then I doubt he's all that of a good person. Not to mention, he's the one who's the reason rules such as the entire class won't receive points unless they all succeed among other penalties.

In fact, now that I think about it… he's been my enemy all this time. I know I'm about to kick the hornet's nest, but I don't care. I need to find the truth. Not just for Horikita's sake but to fix what's clearly broken about this corrupt school! So, that's why I must expose him! Expose the man-

"Your father… I believe wholeheartedly that…" I spoke but paused for a second to pull Daichi up by his hands. And then…

"… Chairman Sakayanagi is the true mastermind behind the physical assault incident!" I declared with a shout at the top of my lungs as I gripped Daichi's hands with my left hand while pointing my right hand's index finger at Sakayanagi!

"…" All the while Sakayanagi could only give me a thousand-yard stare for even considering her to accuse the Chairman of AN and her father no less for concocting such a devilish scheme that got a student arrested for it! But it wasn't just that…

"… Papa." Sakayanagi muttered but I heard what she said clearly! Wait a second… he's right behind me… isn't he?

"Now here I was about to give my beloved daughter a congratulatory party for securing the role of Student Council President in our family's name but that's a mighty fine accusation you have with me. Care to say it again… Izuku Midoriya-San?" The man who was undoubtably Chairman Sakayanagi spoke with a gentle smile on his face.

It was my first time looking at him, so I was taken aback by his grey and white hair as well as his face that made it appear he was quite old, far older than I expected to be with a teenage daughter. But I couldn't stop here! I have to remain firm in my convictions! That's why I'll say it as many times as it takes!

"I accuse you… Chairman Sakayanagi!" I declared with a serious expression on my face as I glared daggers at him!

"Such fiery passion! It must feel good to be young! Hahaha!" Chairman Sakayanagi replied before laughing as it looked like he was enjoying this. This carefree attitude… yeah. Sakayanagi definitely inherited that from her father. However, that wouldn't be the only thing that she would inherit from him. In fact, there were some qualities that she didn't receive from her father. Qualities that made the Chairman of AN even more dangerous than I thought he was. But it would be a little bit before I would learn that. After all…

… Our battle has only just begun!
