It's later in the day, Ruby, and her team went off to their dorm and started to unpack, "so uhh how's everyone holding up?" Ruby asked her team.
"Fine, so where did you guys come from," Skye asked.
"Vale" Ruby answered.
"Outside the kingdoms," Neo signed out.
"I'd rather not say," Blake answered.
"Oh c'mon it's not you've got anything to hide, It's just where you were born, worst case scenario we learn that you were born into a clan of bandits," Skye said sarcastically.
"I mean it, I really would rather not say," Blake said with a deadpan.
"Ehh alright, I won't pry further then," Skye said putting her hands up.
Ruby chuckled at the conversation, looking back at her clothes, she sees her bracelet in the duffle bag, 'this is gonna be a hard thing to hide," she thought to herself, a memory surfaced in her mind, and she thought about the first time she had to hide her identity from her family.

"Ruby? Would you like to explain what you were doing up at midnight last night?" Taiyang asked sternly.
"Erm, watching the stars?" Ruby answered quickly.
"Then explain why I heard so much shuffling," Taiyang asked with more scrutiny.
"I wanted a really good look at the night sky?" Ruby replied.
"Ruby, you know you can tell me anything," Tai said sighing.
"I know dad, I know," Ruby said hugging her dad, "I just can't right now," she said sighing too.
— Now —
"Hey, earth to team leader? You there?" Skye asked, waving a hand in front of Ruby's face.
"Huh, sorry did you need something?" Ruby asked.
"Not really, but Neo's been bugging us to go to an ice cream parlor she likes for our first outing as a team, and I thought it would only be respectful to bring our fearless leader along," she said shrugging.
"Oh shoot let me change real quick and I'll come along," Ruby said grabbing a pair of sneakers, some jean shorts, and a blouse, and rushing off to the restroom.
"Yeah, yeah be quick about it," Skye said, smirking.
Quickly changing into some casual clothing Ruby popped out of the restroom and caught up with her new team while heading down to the ice cream parlor, she got a call, "Ahh shoot, I gotta pick this up, sorry," she said pulling her scroll out.
"Hello?" She said answering the phone.
"Rose, how are you kiddo?" The Captain asked.
"Fine, I'm with my team right now," she said.
"Oh cool, by the way, congrats on passing initiation," he said while typing away at something.
"Thanks!" Ruby said with a chirp, "so did you just call me to say congrats or?" She asked.
"Yeah just about, you should get to know your new subordinates, by the way, I know that outside of Emerald you never really had the chance to get to know your crew," The captain said before hanging up.
"So what was that about?" Blake asked.
"Oh nothing, just a friend of mine calling me to see how I was doing, I did get bumped up by two years, so yeah it is a little jarring to everyone involved," Ruby answered.
"Hmm, alright," Blake said slightly suspicious.
"Either way, since we're all headed to an Ice Cream Parlor, what's your guy's favorite ice cream flavor?" Skye asked.
"Strawberry flavored," Ruby said with a bounce in her step.
"Mint chocolate chip," Neo signed.
"Mint chocolate really?" Skye asked, "thought for sure it would have been Neapolitan," she said.
"Haha, funny cause my name is like Neapolitan, funny, you know my uncle said the exact same thing to me the week before we came here cause he bought me a tub of the stuff," she signed.
"Hey just saying," Skye said raising her hands up a bit.
"It is rather funny," Blake said agreeing with Skye.
"See I'm not the only one," Skye said pointing to Blake.
Neo rolled her eyes.
"What about you Blake?" Ruby asked.
"Chocolate fudge brownie," She said dully.
"Huh, cool," Ruby said smiling.
- Ice cream and stuff IDK, either way, it's the next day-
Waking up ruby hops out of bed and looks at the room, 'man this is not where I thought my life would end up, I mean going to beacon two years early, who would have thought, I mean I always thought I would be a low profile person, guess I was wrong,' Ruby thought to herself.
Walking over to the desk she dug out a whistle and looked at it, 'well I always wanted to do this,' she thought to herself before taking a breath and blowing into the whistle, waking everyone in the room.
"Gah! I'll be up in-OW!" Sky said hopping out of bed and falling onto the floor.
Neo awoke and walked to the restroom yawning.
And Blake...Blake was wearing earplugs.
"Erm, anyone want to wake Blake up?" Ruby asked, neo popped out of the restroom, grabbed her parasol, and smacked blake on the butt with her hand.
"Gah! Who- urg is it morning already?" Blake asked pulling her earplugs out.
"Yep, good morning team RANB!" she shouted smiling.
"And a good morning to you too, also from now on, we're using an alarm, because if I get woken up like that again I might just throttle you a bit in the morning, mutiny be damned," Skye said while groaning and getting up.
"So who's ready for the first day of classes!" Ruby shouted.
"Woo!" Skye said unceremoniously.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Blake said
Neo just shugged.
"Well, good enough for me," Ruby said shrugging, lucky for them they remembered to unpack the night before, 'heh, I wonder what it would be like if we didn't do that, probably have to decorate and clean, only to have to rush out the door in a panic. At least now we can get breakfast, probably should bug AYSN, wake them up if they aren't already up,' Ruby thought to herself before exiting into the hall and walking next door, and committing unspeakable acts...she also blew the whistle in AYSN's room, yelps and smacks could be heard faintly in RANB's room.
