PruSpa: Favourite Flavours
"Hey, why don't we get some chips while we're at it?" Gilbert suggested.
Gilbert and Antonio were in the store, in the snack isle. Antonio turned to his boyfriend with a smile and nodded, and Gilbert rushed off, grabbing a packet of salt and vinegar chips. Antonio's eyes widened.
"You're going with that?" Antonio demanded.
"Ja," Gilbert said. "What's wrong with it?"
Antonio shook his head in disgust, and grabbed a packet of sour cream and onion chips.
"This is the best flavour," Antonio said.
"Are you kidding me?" Gilbert demanded. "It's so boring."
"I hate salt and vinegar. It's too strong."
"And I hate that. It's weak and boring."
The two of them continued arguing, completely ignoring their brothers, who had accompanied them. The two of them were staring at the couple for a moment before Miguel sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"This is ridiculous," Miguel said. "Why don't you each take the flavour you like?"
The two stopped their arguing, looking over towards their brothers.
"But, that defeats the purpose," Gilbert said.
"Which is?" Ludwig prompted.
"Sharing it."
Ludwig shook his head, glancing towards the shelves.
"You either each take a flavour you like, or decide on something you both will like," Ludwig said.
"And if you can't manage that," Miguel said, an annoyed look on his face, "we'll pick a flavour. I've always liked balsamic vinegar…"
"You wouldn't," Antonio said, a look of horror on his face.
"Try me!"
Gilbert and Antonio glanced to each other before placing their respective packets in the cart. Miguel nodded his head in satisfaction and they continued to the next aisle.
"You really like balsamic vinegar?" Ludwig asked.
"I learned to," Miguel said. "It stops Antonio from stealing my chips."
The prompt is: 'Person A and B are in the snack isle of the grocery store. They agree that they should buy some chips. A picks a bag of salt and vinegar chips off the shelf, much to B's shock and horror. B insists that sour cream and onion is the superior chip flavor and the two of them proceed to argue and tell one another that the opposing flavor is disgusting.'
Ironically, the flavours in this prompt are my two favourite flavours of chips. But I hate Caribbean onion and balsamic vinegar, which my mother (who is Portuguese) loves.
