Year?

Humans were conditioned from childhood to rely on their five senses to get through life; smell, eyesight, taste, touch and hearing. There are times when we lost one or two senses but we humans have always learned how to adapt. That's how we survived. But what would happen when suddenly all five of your senses decided to disappear? It was scary feeling, not feeling anything. I wasn't even sure if I was still alive, I was just stuck there for who knows how long with no sense of time to guide me.

I stayed like that for a while before something happened; at first nothing but suddenly I could hear again, I could hear the shifting of sands from where I was, next was touch; I was lying down in the sands perfectly still, then came the smell; it smelled like a soft ocean breeze, when my sight returned I was greeted by light-colored soil covers the ground and paths manifest as trails of light in the sky, similar in appearance to an aurora. I could see the trails of light stretch on for miles but at the end of it all was a huge beam of light where all the trails connect. I was amazed by the silent beauty of the place, it was like a mixture of the sunset and the night sky, just me looking at it made me feel relaxed and…and free.

While I was mesmerized by the sight I almost didn't hear the sound of somebody walking on the sands. I turned my head to see a little girl holding a wooden pail. She looked at me for a moment with her expressionless face, I tried to talk but the time that I spent senseless made it hard for me to talk to her.

She proceeded to walk towards my legs when I noticed something for the first time.

My lower half was covered with the sands, but it was being molded into a body…except it was bigger, I saw the little girl mold the sands to make the legs, I tried to move but I found out that I couldn't move. Sensing that I was trying to move, the girl looked at me in the eyes and said one word "Sleep"

Unlike the first time that I was unconscious this time I was able to retain my grip on my senses, I actually had a dream if you could believe that; I was back on that bus and everything continued to happen like before, the bus swerved we go hit by the oncoming traffic only this time only 3 people died, in that dream I lived.

Next I saw was that I was in a hospital bed staring at the white ceiling the beeping of a heart monitor filling the silence of the room. Looking around I saw Rachel sleeping her laying on the side of my bed. Seeing her again made my breath hitch. I then started to question everything that I saw so far, I started thinking that all that I saw was just a dream and this was reality. I placed my hand on top of Rachel's hair ruffling it the way that she had always hated. She stirred from her sleep and her half asleep eyes looked at me, but something was different with her eyes; instead of the pale blue that was always full of energy it was replaced by a golden color, and I didn't remember Rachel having freckles. Just as I was about to speak the door opened and I saw the…little girl walk in?

She was still wearing the clothes that she wore when I first saw her but I thought that she was just a part of the dream, a figment of my imagination. Just like before she looked at me in the eyes, but unlike the first time instead of a stoic face it was a face filled with pity and sadness, I didn't know why she was feeling these emotions until I heard her speak.

"You could've had a bright future ahead of you, I'm sorry" at this point there were tears at the edges of her eyes "Wake"

I gasped and opened my eyes towards a blue sky, the sun just about reaching its peak. I tried to move my head when I realized that it felt heavier than usual, when sudden pain crashed into my head. I immediately placed my hands on the side of my head to try and ease the pain when I saw something that made me scream, I was panicking so much that it did not register to me that I didn't scream, no I roared, the sound echoing around the plains that I saw in the corner of my eyes flocks of birds flying away from me.

The reason for my shock was that my hand was covered in a clear crystal covering my entire hand save for the joints. I looked down to my body and had to do a double take; first off I was ripped, not body builder ripped but more like the body of a MMA fighter, gone was the love handle that was my old body, there were no body of water near me so I couldn't take a look at what changed at my face but the thing that shocked me the most was the smooth bump where my penis was supposed to be, I roared in surprise in this revelation, but come on that was perfectly understandable, I just lost the family jewels. While I was discovering more about my changed body I also noticed that I was taller, like a whopping 45 feet or 14 meters taller.

While I was quite excited (and afraid) of these discoveries there was something that nagging me at the back of my mind but I couldn't figure out what it was, add also the fact that what was currently happening to me was quite familiar but I couldn't place my finger on it, it was eluding me from some reason. I knew for a fact that this should be something that I know but I just couldn't remember it no matter how hard I tried. I was going to think about what was happening some more when I heard an ear piercing scream from the forest south of my position. Before I could even think I was already running towards the scream at a speed that could be considered as very fast despite my huge body mass.

I ran around the forest with the ease of someone who grew in the woods despite being new in this body. As I pinpointed the source of the scream I found out that it came from a girl wearing a green cloak with a small wing insignia at the front staring down a 3-4 meter titan scribbling furiously in her notebook. Seeing the scene in front of my eyes gave me a strange feeling of déjà vu, but I quickly snapped out of it as I saw the creature grab the girl putting her head bear its mouth. I moved quickly and grabbed the creature by the neck and threw it away, I instinctively knew that I had to destroy the nape so I followed my instinct and stepped on the back on the neck before the creature could move. I looked back at the girl I saved and saw a face that I saw in my many dreams, I face that I thought would never see again.

Tears fell from my eyes as my voice rumbled out the name that I thought would never utter again.

"Rachel?"

A/N

Guest: I can't really say that the Mc wouldn't be around the main characters although I would try to limit the unnecessary interactions with the main cast.

Cadmus8: Don't worry too much the Mc wouldn't be too OP, but I still need to do something to make him a wee bit strong.

MDM11: Although that would be really good I unfortunately set this in Year 848 in which the 34th expedition will happen, so the Mc would only be able to save Ilse.
