Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, 2 weeks of Dragon Prince stories sure take a lot of time, (And I hoped you all liked my first triple crossover The Last Black and White Dragons.) Plus looking for my cheer job is taking some time. Anyway, with this being a two parter, I'm going to do this and the next chapter, and then post part 2 tomorrow. So let's see how it all began, shale we. Now onto adventure 15.
Adventure 15
Fun Gus And K's Origins Part 1
The Past
In the past, Song and Lio were climbing some vines in a ruined building. "I can't believe we're doing this!" Song said to Lio. "Finally. Wiat, I left the stove on. We have to go back!" Lio said to Song, as he made them stop. "Lio!" Song said to Lio. "I'm just kidding!" Lio said to Song, before laughing and started to climb again.
That's when they reached the top of the building, and saw the night sky. "Oh, my gosh, the stars." Song said, with wonder in their eyes. "Yeah." Lio said. "Oh, my gosh, the moon!" Song said to Lio, as they looked at the Moon, and saw some Flamingos flying past the moon.
"Flamingos!" Song said. "Ooh! And they have two heads!" Lio said. "Oh, I hope they get along with each other." Song said to Lio.
That's when they noticed the Mega corgi off in the distance, and it exited Song. "A Mega! I want to pet it! How tall do you think it is?" Song asked Lio. "Maybe 300 feet? It's no wonder we ended up hiding underground." Lio said to Song, as song pulled out a journal, and started to write.
"But, hey! Now that you figured out how to reverse the mutation, we could even have one as a teeny tiny house pet." Lio said to Song, holding his hands in a small box shape, and sounded less enthusiastic. "Right. A pet." Song said, sounding less enthusiastic as well.
"We can't do this, right?" Song asked Lio, as they both got stiff. "No!" Lio said to Song. "I'm so glad you said that! Hugo said my name today. He can think!" Song said to Lio. "We can't take that away from him." Lio said to Song. "From all of them!" Song said to Lio.
"Then we won't. we'll hide this. We tell our team we have no idea how we did it and that it could take years to replicate, and not mention that a Light Crystal is the key. And it's not like anyone else can do what you can, Song." Lio said to Song, making her blush. "Aww, honey. It's true." Song said to Lio.
"Yeah, it is." Lio said to Song, putting a hand on the side of her head. "We'll hold them off as long as we can." Song said to Lio, before hugging Lio. "I just wish it didn't mean this would be the only time we get to look at the stars." Song said to Lio, looking at the night sky.
"It won't be. We will find another way to survive up here." Lio said to Song, before he tried to kiss Song, but was interpreted by the Mega Dogs and started to howl. "It'll just have to be extraordinary." Lio said to Song, as he hugged Song.
Las Vasta Streets
Back in the present, Dave was flying in his muscle from carrying everyone, with the Pokemon following them. But after a bit, Dave started to grunt. "Do not molt! Do not molt! Do not molt!" Wolf said to everyone. "Well, now that's all I can think about!" Dave said to everyone. "He's gonna molt." Kipo said to everyone. "You better stop saying molt." Dave said to everyone.
That's when Dave grunted and dropped everyone. "Made it two… whole… blocks that time!" Dave said to everyone, panting. "Carrying all six of us! And you're still super Dave! Dude, you are really getting the hang of this!" Benson said to Dave, before they high five each other.
"Yeah, but I still say it'd be faster by Mega Jaguar." Dave said to everyone. "We've been over this. She'll get stuck that way unless we find her anchor!" Wolf said to Dave. "Pssh. That won't be a problem because we're almost at my parents burrow. I'll find my anchor and maybe even learn more about my mom!" Kipo said to everyone.
"You make it sound like self discovery is a simple process." Aqua said to Kipo. "Wait, you dad didn't tell you about her?" Wolf asked Kipo. "Uh, well. It was a tough subject. She died of burrow pox when I was a baby. Probably what got my sister." Kipo said to everyone. "Oh, well, I'm sure your mom was awesome." Wolf said to Kipo. "And I'm sure if your sister was here, she would be awesome as you are." Kalena said to Kipo.
"You two think so?" Kipo asked them. Yeah, I bet your mother was also great at singing into hoot hoots, and your sister might have been great at singing into hoot hoots as well." Wolf said to Kipo. "Yeah, they probably have your can-do attitude." Kalena said to Kipo, rubbing Kipo's head.
"D'aw! I can't wait to get in there and find out! According to this map it's under some kind of orange rainbow?" Kipo said to everyone, pulling out the map, and showing it to everyone.
"Uh, Kipo, obviously, that's a cheese waterfall. You should know this." Dave said to Kipo, turning the map. "Yes! Maybe it's the Cheddar Toes headquarters!" Benson said to everyone. "And we can get all the cheese we want!" Dave said to everyone.
This caused Aqua to hit Dave and Benson in the back of the head. "Can't you two, for once stop thinking about food or some crazy day dream!" Aqua said to Dave and Benson. "It's find Aqua. But yeah, that can't be right." Kipo said to Aqua, as she put the map away.
That's when the fire hydrant behind them became encased in water. "Right is just a state of mind." A voice said from the fire hydrant. That's when everyone jumped back away from the fire hydrant.
"Unless you're a hand then it's opposite of left." The fire hydrant said, as it formed a right and left hand. That's when the water changed into Mulhollan. "You!" Wolf said to Mulhollan, pointing her stick at Mulhollan. "Me!" Mulhollan said to Wolf, walking off the fire hydrant.
Scarlemagne's Palace
In Scarlemagne's Palace, Javin was leading the leaders of the Mob Frogs, the Humming Bombers, the Newton Wolves, and the Scooter Skunks to Scarlemagne, as Scarlemagne played his piano. "This place is sick." The Humming Bombers leader said to everyone.
"Welcome, welcome, welcome, to my humble abode! Come on, come on, don't be shy. Gather round the piano forte!" Scarlemagne said to everyone, making the leaders move to him.
"Now, as you might know, there is a Mega Monkey on the loose. I need you to sing to me. Sing to me of where I may find her, and you will be greatly rewarded!" Scarlemagne said to everyone. "We heard the Mega Monkey is in-" The Scooter Skunks leader said to Scarlemagne, but stopped talking when some of the humans pointed a sword at her.
"Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah! Sing it!" Scarlemagne said to everyone. "It is in Cactustown." The Mob Frogs leader sang. "Wonderful! You get the first pick of the luxury homes I'm building for mute kind." Scarlemagne said to the Mob Frogs leader, walking to everyone, and unrolling a poster of a golden city.
"No more living in the squalor of ancient human ruins. Here, you will be waited on webbed hand and foot." Scarlemagne said to everyone, showing off the poster. "We'll take this one." The Mob Frogs leader said to Scarlemagne, pointing to a spot on the poster. "Ooh. Poolside view, excellent choice. It will be all ready for you following my coronation as your emperor." Scarlemagne said to the Mob Frogs leader.
"But first: Javin! Gerard! Lemieux! Ready my flamingos. We're going hunting." Scarlemagne said to everyone. "I never thought you'd never ask." Javin said to Scarlemagne, as they got to work.
Las Vasta Forest
Meanwhile Emilia, and her grunts were running through the forest, with two lines of giant ants on their sides, with each line of ants going in different directions. "You know what? I bet they put the moon far away so we don't eat it." Greta said to everyone. "You can't eat a star, Greta." The male grunt said to Greta.
"The moon is neither a star nor edible. Okay, I don't have time to explain that right now, because we have to find that monkey." Emilia said to everyone. "If we're trying to find a monkey, why are we following ants?" The male grunt asked Emilia.
"I told you, Zane. Monkeys eat ants." Emilia said, as they found the ant hit and saw the Mega Monkey tricks next to it.
But that's when Scarlemagne's forces flew over their head, with the collar in toe. That's when Emilia noticed Scarlemagne, Javin, and their Pokemon in the group.
"It's him. We have to move faster!" Emilia said to everyone. That's when Greta noticed a dragonfly nearby. "I can get us a ride. I have a special connection with animals." Greta said to everyone.
And that special connection was attacking and forcing the Dragonfly to bend to her command, by very painful wrestling moves.
Las Vasta Streets
Back with the gang, they were looking at Mulhollan with surprised looks on their faces. "No one drink anything! Remember what happened last time?" Kipo said to everyone, as she used her shirt to cover her mouth.
"Yeah, we do! And it was awesome!" Dave said to everyone. "Hey. Can you take us to that party again?" Dave asked Mulhollan, with Mandu, all for that idea. "You want me to take you back to that cheesy forest? Of course!" Mulhollan said to Mandu, before getting squash by Wolf's stick. "Don't even think about it!" Wolf said to Mulhollan.
"Relax, I'm not here to absorb anyone." Mulhollan said to everyone, as he moved to the top of Wolf's stick. "Lately, this wide-eyed wanderer's just been trying to find himself. By getting lost." Mulhollan said to everyone, before jumping off Wolf's stick.
"So, there are pieces of me everywhere right now. Some of me is here, some of me is far away." Mulhollan said to everyone, before making copies of himself. "But it's all me." Mulhollan said at the same time his copies said that.
Then Mulhollan jumped onto Kipo's shoulder. "Anyhoodle, Kipotastic, I couldn't help but overhear, and I feel like you'll find what you're looking for." Mulhollan said to Kipo. "Really?" Kipo asked Mulhollan. "Mm-hmm. Just a lil' nugget of goodwill for ya. I'm trying out being helpful." Mulhollan said to Kipo, before jumping off her, and onto Kalena's shoulder.
"The same could be said for you Kalenafurry." Mulhollan said to Kalena. "Like you know what I want." Kalena said to Mulhollan. "Oh but I do." Mulhollan said to Kalena, before jumping off her and onto the fire hydrant.
"Hey, fellas, if you change your mind about that party, or rather if you want me to change your minds…" Mulhollan said to everyone. "Oh, no. You're not changing anyone's minds." Wolf said to Mulhollan. "Yeah." Dave said to Mulhollan. "I'd be cool with it though." Dave whispered to Mulhollan, earning a hit on the back of the head from Aqua.
"What is wrong with you?" Wolf asked Dave. "I'll be around. Bye." Mulhollan said to everyone, before going back into the fire hydrant.
"Guys! A water dude who's been inside my mind is saying I'm going to find what I'm looking for!" Kipo said to everyone. "If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is!" Dave said to everyone. That's when what Kipo said sank into her head. "Do you ever just think about what we do in a day and go, "Whoa"?" Kipo asked everyone. "Yeah, we do have a lot of crazy days." Kalena said to Kipo, before they all started to walk.
After a couple steps, they started to walk through an area with orange fungus covering it. While walking through the place, they saw fungus cover more of the area. And after moving some of the fungus out of the way, they found the burrow. The burrow looked like an upside down skyscraper, covered in orange fungus.
"Wha… we made it. My parents burrow." Kipo said to everyone, as her words echoed in the place. "Whoa." Benson said, as they all looked at the place. "This isn't cheese." Dave said to everyone. "We dream too big." Benson said to everyone.
Then Benson and Dave got ready for a head slap, but nothing happened. That's when everyone turned around to see Aqua shivering in fear. "Aqua? Are you okay?" Kipo asked Aqua. "I don't know. This place, it scares me." Aqua said to everyone.
"So, it's completely covered in fungus and it smells like pumpkin barf. It's not that scary. And the important thing is, we're here." Kipo said to everyone. "This place is huge. How are we going to find your parent's apartment?" Wolf asked Kipo. "One door at a time. Come on!" Kipo said to everyone, as they all started to move.
Well, everyone but Aqua, and Kalena noticed this. "Aqua?" Kalena asked Aqua. "I'm sorry. I can't move. I don't know why." Aqua said to Kalena, hugging herself and shaking. Kalena walked up to Aqua, turned her back to Aqua, and bent her knees. "I'll carry you." Kalena said to Aqua.
"Are you sure?" Aqua asked Kalena, getting embarrassed. "I'm sure. Now get on. We have to catch up with the others." Kalena said to Aqua. Aqua nervously got onto Kalena's back, and felt safe on her back. "Can I stay on your back while we're here?" Aqua asked Kalena, with a clam tune in her voice.
Kalena smiled. "Of course you can." Kalena said to Aqua, before she started to walk towards the others. That's when the fungus moved back to where it was moved.
Las Vasta Sky
Meanwhile Emilia, Zane, and Greta were flying through the sky, catching up to Scarlemagne's forces. "The sky is windy. If birds had lips they'd be chapped all the time." Greta said to everyone. "Thank you, Greta." Emilia said to Greta, with an annoyed tone in her voice.
That's when Emilia noticed Scarlemagne's forces ahead of them. But that's when they all heard a high-pitched ringing, and caused all of them to fall out of the sky and right into Cactus town. Emilia, Zane, and Greta crashed on a roof, while Scarlemagne's forces crashed in the streets.
"Oh, no, was this too loud for you?" Cotton asked everyone, as everyone noticed the Umlaut Snakes, and the Stakatakas standing in their way. "This is barely a whisper for me." Cotton said to everyone, before she, the Umlaut Snakes, and the Stakatakas started to play high pitched rock and roll.
Fungus Burrow
Back with the gang, they were still looking around in the borrow. "Wow!" Kipo said, looking at the glow of the place. Then Kipo whipped off some goo from a screen, and a lot of screens turned on. "What is this place?" Wolf asked everyone. "Whatever it is. It's too advanced to just be a regular home for people." Kalena said to everyone, as Kipo looked at the screen.
"That's a DNA helix!" Kipo said, before exclaiming. "What if my parents came from an entire burrow of scientists?!" Kipo asked everyone, getting excited. "Given the tech in this place, it's possible." Kalena said to Kipo. "And that would explain a lot about you and your dad." Wolf said to Kipo, before they started walking.
While walking Mandu saw some fungus laying around, and thought about taking a bite out of it, but Dave stopped her. "Mandu, that is not cheese. I already tired it." Dave said to Mandu. But Mandu ignored Dave's words, and took a bite, only for her to be biting thin air. This surprised Mandu, because she thought she had a clear bite.
"All of this is so hi-tech." Benson said, as he touched a screen. "Oh. Do you think you scan your eyeball?" Kipo asked everyone. "If it takes eyeballs, we know whose eyes we're using." Dave said to everyone, looking at Mandu. "That's not how it works. It means the keys to the locks are a certain person's eyes. Mandu's eyes wouldn't work." Aqua said to Dave, as Mandu gave Dave a mean look.
At the same time, Benson was moving the fungus off the screen, and found a name. "Valens?" Aqua asked, reading the name as Kalena made her extra arms pop out and cleaned off the screen next to it. "This one is Valentine." Kalena said to everyone.
"They're in alphabetical order!" Benson said to everyone, making Kipo gasp. "We're in the V-section. C'mon!" Kipo said to everyone, as she started to run. Everyone then started to run after her.
But while they were running through the place, the fungus started to move around, like it was a living blob creature. Dave thought he saw something, and went to look through a window. That's when some fungus hit the window, and scared Dave into his old man form.
"Dave? You OK?" Benson asked Dave, as he ran up to help Dave. "There's a ghost! In there!" Dave said to Benson, pointing at the window. Benson looked through the window, and saw a butterfly with a scary face. "It's just a dead bug. C'mon." Benson said to Dave, before they went after the others.
"Pullman, Potts… Oak!" Kipo said, as she read the name on the doors. "Here it is!" Kipo said to everyone. "Don't go in! This place is haunted!" Dave said to Kipo. "Dave, what did I just tell you?" Benson said to Dave. "Don't mind him. Sometimes old man Dave is pretty paranoid. Bye-bye, fun Dave." Benson said to everyone.
"We're going in. I think I know the code." Kipo said to everyone, before popping out her paws, and ripping the door off. "Good guess." Kalena said to Kipo.
Cactus Town
Meanwhile Emilia, Zane, and Greta were finally away from the crash. "Everyone OK?" Emilia asked everyone. "Good. My bones are like steel." Zane said to Emilia, with a voice that sounded like he was in pain. "I hurt my toe. But that happened before we crashed." Greta said to Emilia.
That's when they heard the high-pitched ringing, and moved to the edge of the roof and saw the Umlaut Snakes, and the Stakatakas face off against Scarlemagne's forces. "You know the rules. No one goes through Umlaut Snakes territory without permission. That includes Umlaut air space, man!" Cotton said to Scarlemagne, before they started to rock out, causing pain to Scarlemagne's forces.
"It's loud but it's not that bad." Zane said to everyone. "Mute hearing is more sensitive than ours." Emilia said to everyone. "Ohh! I like this song now!" Greta said to everyone.
With Scarlemagne, he noticed while his mutes, Jester, and Maira were having a killer headache, the humans were fine. "Nobles, take them out." Scarlemagne said to the humans. The humans pulled out their swords and moved to the Umlaut Snakes, and the Stakatakas
"Why isn't it working?" Cotton asked, as the humans took out the speakers. With the speakers down, the mutes, Jester, and Maira reimagined their minds. "You'll regret getting in my way." Scarlemagne said to Cotton, as his forces got ready to fight. The Umlaut Snakes got ready to fight and charged at Scarlemagne's forces, and the Stakatakas started to fire a bunch of small rocks from themselves, giving the Umlaut snakes covering fire.
Fungus Burrow
Back with the gang, they entered Kipo's parent old room. "Wow. So… this is where my parents lived." Kipo said to everyone. "Know what else lived here? A ghost! And it hates cleaning!" Dave said to everyone, holding a broken broom. "Yup. Ghosts. Notoriously messy." Benson said to Dave, in a mocking tune.
"You weren't kidding about that paranoid thing." Wolf said to Benson, as they started to look around. That's when the fungus took the broom out of Dave's hand. "Oh, the spirits are mad, we've invaded their space! We need to leave now! Everybody follow me!" Dave said to everyone, before running out the door, as fast as an old man could run.
"Should we go after him?" Kalena asked Benson. "He'll be back." Benson said to Kalena, as they kept looking around.
"Found anything?" Aqua asked everyone, from Kalena's back. "It looks like a lot of Kipo parents' stuff is still here." Wolf said to everyone. "I know! It's like they totally jumped on this bed!" Kipo said to everyone, jumping on a bed.
"Yeah, and I bet they stabbed food with these knives." Wolf said to Kipo, pulling out a knife. "Right? Oh, I can see it now!" Kipo said, as she moved to the kitchen. "Song! Dinner's ready!" Kipo said acting as Lio. Kipo then ran to the couch. "Coming, Lio, I'm almost finished doing math for fun!" Kipo said, acting as Song.
"You're always doing math for fun!" Kipo said as Lio. "Yeah! 'Cause it's fun!" Kipo said as Song. "That's not what they sounded like. I'm just bad at voices." Kipo said to everyone. "I hate to ruin the moded, but something's bugging me." Kalena said to everyone.
"Don't tell me you think there's a ghost too?" Benson asked Kalena. "No, but there's way too much stuff here. If they left by their own accord, they would have taken a good chunk of this stuff with them." Kalena said, as she opened a cabinet and revealed it was full of cups and dics'. "So why is most of it still here?" Kalena asked everyone.
"I'm sure they had a good reason to leave all their stuff." Kipo said to Kalena. "I bet one of these was yours." Benson said, getting everyone's attention. That's when everyone noticed two baby onesie with a picture of an owl on it, the other one had a swan on it
Benson tossed them to Kipo. "Aw, it's so little! I can't believe me and my sister were ever this small! I wonder which one was mine?" KIpo asked everyone. "Well do you feel anything from one of them?" Wolf asked Kipo. Kipo closed her eyes, and held them close to her. "Not getting that anchor type of feeling the goats told me about. But I'm keeping them." Kipo said to everyone.
Then Mandu brough Kipo and a water container. "Aw, thanks, Mandu! Definitely not my anchor, but super useful for later!" Kipo said to Mandu, taking the container, and walking away.
That's when the fungus touched Mandu, messing with her. This startled Mandu, as she ran to Kipo, as Kipo put the onesies and container in Benson's bag. Kipo felt Mandu move against her leg, and noticed Mandu was looking up, so she looked up, and saw a drawing of a starry sky on it.
"They also had this?! I thought this was just a thing with me and my dad, but I guess my mom loved stars, too! Makes me wonder if my sister would have too?" Kipo said to everyone, as Mandu noticed the fungus moving, and ran away.
"Wait a minute. Something's off. The Leo constellation has an extra star, right there. It's not like my dad to get it wrong." Kipo said to everyone, pointing to an odd star on the ceiling. "Or maybe…" Benson said, as he moved to the bed, and jumped, hitting the star, which turned out to be a secret button that opened a secret panel in the wall.
This made Kipo exclaim. "Secret panel! I've always wanted one of these!" Kipo said, as everyone moved to the secret panel. In the panel was a book, the title said Project Kipo, but the Kipo part was crossed out with a red line, and was replaced by a K&K.
"Project Kipo. oh, my gosh, that's me!" Kipo said to everyone. "Really?" Wolf asked. "Well, read it!" Benson said to Kipo. "Wait a second." Aqua said to everyone. "Why, what's up?" Kipo asked Aqua.
"Don't you find it odd? By the looks of it. It was called Project Kipo at the start, but later it was turned to Project K&K. don't you find that strange?" Aqua asked Kipo. "Must've thought I would be an only child." Kipo said to Aqua, before they all walked to the couch.
On the couch, Kipo opened the book and read it. "Ohh, formulas!" Kipo said to everyone, earning an odd look from Wolf and Benson. "Uh, but I can read those later, when I want to treat myself." Kipo said to everyone, as she started to read.
"Here we go. "We have a new dream for living on the surface. Just imagine what a human mind could do with the powers of a Mega Mute"." Kipo said to everyone, before gasping. "Mega Mute! They're talking about me!" Kipo said to everyone, making everyone exclaim.
The Past
"We can alter the mutagen to favor the growth hormone and combine it with the mutagen enhanced DNA of apex predators." Song said, as she wrote it down in the book.
Then Song pulled a tray with four shots of DNA. "Let's start with Jaguar. How's the Light Crystals coming?" Song asked Lio, as Lio crushed purple Light Crystals in a bowl, with a small box of Light Crystal next to him.
"Almost done. Just need one more." Lio said to Song, looking at her, as he reached for a light crystal. But instead of pulling out a purple Light Crystal, he pulled out a white Light Crystal, and without looking, he put it into the bowl and crushed it, mixing it with the purple crystal dust. Then Lio poured the crystal dust into a liquid, and mixed it so that it was a purple liquid, with a faint hint of white, not that Lio noticed.
"Good. Now, falcon, monkey, komodo dragon." Song said, as she mixed the animal DNA with four of her eggs that were under a microscope. "Giant worm?" Lio asked, as he put the liquid into a dropper. "Worm? I know only one of the samples will take, but do we really want our kid to be a worm?" Song asked Lio, as she turned her head.
That's when Song noticed Lio had a giant worm as food in one hand, and the dropper in the other. "It just finished." Lio said to Song, as she used chopsticks to hold up a piece of the worm. "Oh, right." Song said, as she took the food, and they both chuckled. "Mm. Thank you, honey." Song said to Lio.
"Yeah." Lio said to Song, as he kissed her check. So, one of these little guys is going to be our baby?" Lio asked Song, as he handed her the dropper, and she passed the microscope to him.
"They just need one more thing." Song said, as she used the dropper on komodo dragon, falcon, and monkey in that order, dropping a single drop of purple liquid.
"I can't wait to meet him or her." Song said to Lio, as she aimed the dropper over the jaguar egg. "You know. I think he or she can't wait to meet you." Lio said to Song, kissing her on the check.
This caused Song to close her eyes and squeeze the dropper. That's when a drop of white liquid fell onto the jaguar egg.
"There it's done." Song said to Lio. This caused both of them to start laughing and hugging each other.
Fungus Burrow
Back in the present, Kipo stopped reading. "I was that hybrid-baby! Guys, I'm a living science experiment." Kipo said to everyone. "That does explain why your name is the project name." Kalena said to Kipo. "And by the sound of it. They weren't expecting twins. That makes me wonder what went wrong?" Aqua asked everyone. "Who knows. But isn't this cool?" Kipo asked everyone.
"Yeah… So cool." Wolf nervously said to Kipo. Benson just gave Kipo some thumbs up and a fake smile. "I mean, I knew my parents were smart, but I didn't realize how smart! They had a crazy idea, and they figured out how to make it work!" Kipo said to everyone.
Meanwhile, Dave and Mandu were walking around the place. "Nobody followed me?" Dave asked Mandu. Mandu snorted. "I couldn't agree more. See, they think I'm crazy." Dave said to Mandu, making up whatever she said to him. Mandu snorted again while looking at the fungus. "You're right. Friends are like butterflies. If you let 'em go and they come back to you, that means they were never supposed to go in the get go. And you can love 'em forever. I got friends like that. I've let some go and I kept some." Dave said to Mandu, hugging her. But after walking around a corner, Dave froze in fear, and screamed.
Back in the room, everyone heard Dave scream "Is that Dave?" Kipo asked everyone. "Is it?" Benson said, trying to ignore it. "The wall has a face!" Dave yelled from outside.
"Pretty sure it is." Wolf said to Benson. "He probably doesn't need me though." Benson said to Wolf. "Benson! Benson!" Dave yelled.
This made everyone look at Benson, and Benson sighed. "I'll go check it out." Benson said to everyone, before leaving the room.
Benson found Dave and Mandu looking at something under some stairs. "There was a face in that wall! I swear!" Dave said to benson. "Well, Mr. Wall Face is gone now. OK? Because he never existed. But we haven't seen any ghosts so maybe you'd be safer with us. Back inside." Benson said to Dave, before walking away.
"Wall face started right through me, into my soul. He has no soul so he wants to eat mine. You would think he'd be full from eating all these other souls, but he keeps eating them. They go right through him! You can't have my soul. It belongs to someone else." Dave said, as he and Mandu walked away. That's when a skull came out of the fungus.
"I know what I'm talking about, I've visited the spectral place between lives." Dave said to Benson, as they walked into the room, with the girls reading the book. "No. No, you haven't." Benson said to Dave. "OK, fine. But I still know what I saw." Dave said to Benson.
"Guys! Listen to this!" Kipo said to everyone. "Today, I came home and Lio was making dinner." Kipo said, reading out loud.
The Past
In the past, Song was carrying a small box up to Lio, as Lio cooked dumplings. "Hey, honey!" Song said to Lio, getting Lio's attention. Song then kissed Lio on the check, before taking a dumpling and walked to the box. "I hope you made enough for three." Song asked Lio.
"Why, are we having company?" Lio asked Song. "Sort of." Song said to Lio, opening the box. "More like a permanent house guest." Song said, pulling out the owl onesie. "We're having a baby?" Lio asked Song.
"Yes, and there was a two for one deal." Song said to Lio, as she pulled out the swan onesie. "We're having a baby!" Lio said, as he shouted and scoped up Song, all the while laughing.
"I love you. I love you." Lio said to Song, before lowing too her belly and kissing it. "I love everything right now! I love these jammies! I love this kitchen. I even love the dumplings I forgot about and now they're burning." Lio said to Song, as he took the onesies, and realized the food was burning.
Lio put the onesies on the counter, and tried to save his food by lifting the frying pan up. All of this made Song laugh. "Oh, Lio! I love you, too." Song said to Lio, talking into Lio's ear.
But unknown to Song or Lio, something strange happened in Song belly. While the jaguar egg was glowing white and was developing normally.
The komodo dragon egg was acting weird. It absorbed the falcon egg into itself, as it drained all the purple energy from the monkey egg, breaking the monkey egg apart, letting the monkey DNA enter Song. Doing this caused the komodo dragon to develop as well.
Fungus Burrow
Back in the present, Kipo was still reading the book out loud. "We are so excited and can't wait to meet our little Kipo." Kipo said, reading the book, before she giggled and started to cry. "They loved you so much." Wolf said to Kipo. Kipo then held Wolf close to her and hugged her. "Are we hugging? Bring it in. We're hugging." Benson said to everyone, as they hugged each other, minus Dave, who threw a vase past them.
"Quiet haunting me, you deamon spirit! You have no power. You're weak!" Dave said to the air, making Benson sigh. "Sorry, guys." Benson said to everyone, before going to deal with Dave. "So, is this your anchor?" Wolf asked Kipo, as Kipo whipped the tears out of her eyes.
"I'm not sure. Maybe I just haven't gotten to the entry that makes me go all "anchory"." Kipo said to Wolf. "I don't think reading a book will help you find an anchor. I think it needs to be something you can feel or see." Aqua said to Kipo. "But keep reading!" Wolf said to Kipo. Kipo got back to reading.
With Benson, he was trying to calm Dave down. "Dave, I need you to stop." Benson said to Dave. "The ghosts don't stop!" Dave said to Benson. "Dave!" Benson said to Dave, grabbing Dave. "Come out and face me like a bug, you cowardly specter!" Dave said, hitting Benson.
"Dude, ghosts aren't real! OK?! I wish you would just molt already, and let Lady deal with you! Then I get you back when you're, I don't know, a fun version of you?!" Benson said to Dave. "Oh, that hurts." Dave said to Benson.
"Guess I'll just get out of your way until I molt into someone you like." Dave said to Benson, before walking out of the room. "Dave, I…" Benson said to Dave, but was interrupted by Mandu snorting, and her leaving Benson. Benson said nothing, and watched as Dave and Mandu left the room.
While Dave and Mandu left, the fungus started to move trying to grab, but when Dave Mandu turned their heads, the fungus moved back. Then in front of Dave and Mandu, two tan Light Crystal discs stare at them. "Hello." A male childish voice said to Dave and Mandu. This scared them, and even caused Dave to molt into his baby form.
That's when the fungus grabbed Dave. "My very own baby doll!" The voice said, as it shook Dave, and dragged him into the fungus. Mandu then ran away squealing. "And baby piggy! Yay!" the voice said, before the fungus grabbed Mandu and dragged Mandu into the fungus.
Cactus Town
Back in Catus Town, the battle raged on, with Emilia, Zane, and Greta watching it. Emilia noticed the unguard collar, and saw her chance to get it. "Get the collar." Emilia said to Zane and Greta. Zane and Greta saluted to Emilia, and went after the collar, as Emilia went after the Mega Monkey.
Once she got into Mega Monkey's lair, she found the Mega Monkey sleeping. Emilia walked up to the Mega Monkey. "I did it. I found you first. For the future of humanity, I'll never let Scarlemagne have you." Emeilia said to the Mega Monkey.
Fungus Burrow
Back in the Fungus Burrow, Kipo gasped after reading something from the book. "What happened?" Wolf asked Kipo, as everyone moved to read the books themselves. "Ah My mom opened a jar of kimchi!" Kiop said to everyone. "Wow! Good for her?" Wolf said to Kipo, not understanding what the excitement was about. "No, listen…" Kipo said to everyone, before she started to read the book out loud.
The Past
In the past, a pregnant Song was getting some food from a cabinet. "I'm making kimchi and peanut butter. You want any?" Song asked Lio, as she pulled out a jar. "Oh, that sounds horrible. But if it's what you're craving, go for it!." Lio said to Song.
Song then tried to open the jar, and ended up smashing it to pieces with such ease. "Oh… Are you OK? Don't move!" Lio said to Song, as he ran to her, and checked her hands. "I don't know what happened! It was like I had super strength!" Song said to Lio.
"It's OK. We knew there could be side effects. And super strength isn't so bad! Might come in handy." Lio said to Song, cleaning up the glass. "Earlier at the commissary, someone bumped into my belly, and I'm pretty sure… I grew fur on my arm, as our baby kicked a lot like it was upset." Song said to Lio. "What?" Lio asked Song.
Fungus Burrow
Back in the present, everyone gasped. "What?!" Everyone but Kipo asked. "Super strength! Just like me! Fur! Just like me! Guys! This means my mom was a Mega Jaguar, just like me! That means my sister must have been a Mega Jaguar as well." Kipo said to everyone, as they walked from the couch. This made her, Wolf, and Benson laugh.
"Not to ruin the moment, but are you sure they were Mega Jaguars?" Aqua asked Kipo. "Of course they were. You read the book, my mom grew fur. The other three they used don't have fur, so she and my sister must have been Mega Jaguars." Kipo said to Aqua, as a lump in the fungus moved around them.
"But that's amazing! Kimchi and peanut butter sounds gross, but that's amazing!" Benson said to everyone. "Does that mean…?" Wolf asked Kipo. "This is my anchor? I think so! We just have to keep reading and…" Kipo said to Wolf, but stopped when the fungus took the book from Kipo's hands.
"Whoa." Wolf said, as everyone noticed the fungus moving. "What is happening?!" Benson asked everyone. "I don't know." Wolf said to everyone. "Is this why you didn't want to be here?" Kalena asked Aqua. "No, but it doesn't help me feel better."Aqua said to Kalena.
That's when the fungus taunted Kipo with the book. "Ah! The journal!" Kipo said, as she tried to get the book, only for the fungus to grab her. "Kipo, No!" WOlf said to Kipo. "Poipole!" Virgo said, as she fired a light green with pink shapes in it, blasing the fungus off Kipo, and making the fungus cry in pain. Then everyone heard giggling and it freaked them out.
