This is the rewrite that was promised to you all. As said before on my new story I will not be continuing this fanfic. I do not own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Also the rule still applies with Tomura being the actual name for AFO. Tenko Shimura will just be known as Tenko Shigaraki. The name change isn't really all that significant as i plan to change T=
Without further ado, unto the chapter.
What could make the king of the underworld lose sight of his goal to become the greatest demon? Just what in the world had the power to change a century year old man from his conscious acts of absolute chaos? Well, truth be told, All for One was not just a man, but the embodiment of the quirk itself. The older brother of Yoichi Shigaraki was nothing more than its first user, that imprinted his will and life-long mission into said quirk. When that quirk was passed on to the next holder, it corrupted them, Leaving the mind nothing more than a plaything for Tomura himself to manipulate. That was until a man by the name of Hisashi Midoriya managed to get his hands on the quirk.
He stumbled along in the midnight rain, hands clawing at his head as he tried his best to keep it out, to keep him out. Laughter plagued the recesses of his mind as he groaned in agony. That damn bastard of a doctor! He was tricked from the very beginning! When he said that giving quirks was a possibility he jumped at the chance. Revolutionizing the world of quirks as everyone knew it was just too great of an opportunity to pass up. Too bad he didn't read the fine print, and now he was suffering for it. Damn that man. DAMN YOU KYUDAI!
The laughter grew stronger as he struggled to breathe. He threw his shirt along the ground as even through the rain it still felt like he was trapped in an oven. The mother of all headaches tore through his skull as he finally made his way to the main street of Mustafu. He didn't know when he blacked out, but by the time he awoke he was in a location unknown to him. Surprisingly whatever it was didn't destroy him yet and as he sat up, his eyes met with a pair of emerald-green orbs.
"Eep!" The phrase rang out like a mouse being caught. The figure scurried back towards the far corner of the room as Hisashi watched on with confusion and mirth. A young woman with green hair and green eyes was trying her best to hide from his gaze. Wanting to know more about the situation, the man started with a simple greeting.
"Hello."
"..."
"Were you the one that brought me here?"
"..."
"What's your name?"
From that second question the only thing heard was just a murmur. Not exactly hearing what was said, he asked for her to clarify. Her reply?
"I-its customary for the person asking to reveal their name first."
This woman somehow dragged him to god knows where, and he doesn't even get a name?
"Fine. My name is Hisashi Yoruta. Happy now?"
The woman relaxed a bit, calming down as she might have realised how the situation looked and with a deep breath. she managed without stuttering.
"Inko Midoriya. I'm sorry for just carrying you here."
Was this woman kidding? She saved his life, not only that but how the hell did she carry 'him' here?
"That's fine. Just as long as you tell me where here is."
"It's just an apartment on the edge of Mustafu..How did you end up like that Hisashi-san?"
"I-" before the man could continue however, the searing pain made itself known once more. Hisashi gripped the bedsheets and gritted his teeth. It looks like whatever saving grace he had was used up. The laughter slowly got louder as soon it was all that he could hear. He started to black out again, and something inside him knew that if he lost consciousness now, he would never see the light of day again.
A smack ran throughout the room as Hisashi came back to his senses. The minute he looked around he found the woman muttering nonsense and almost to tears.
"I-I'M SO SORRY! YoulookedlikeyouwereinalotofpainandwhenIseepeoplepanicthenIstarttopanicbutthatwasn'thelpingthesituationsoIdidthefirstthingthatcameto mymin-"
A laugh rang through the apart as Hisashi couldn't believe what just happen. Did someone slapping the life out of him actually save him. Tears came to his eyes as he just refused to believe the situation, unknowingly scaring the woman in his proximity as she believed the man had gone mad.
"Miss Midoriya, I think you just saved my life."
"Look kacchan! My quirk is just like yours!" A smiling Izuku said as the sweat on his hands ignited like miniature firecrackers. The other children stared in awe and envy while the teachers looked at him with a certain amount of shock and pride. Everyone was watching Izuku as he showed off his 'quirk' to anyone who was nearby, that is, everyone except a certain ashen-blond haired kid that just stood without making a sound.
"Why isn't it working anymore?" The blond boy thought as sweat fell from his arms. He tried to activate his quirk again and again but no explosion came. The popping sound that he was now so accustomed to was just...gone without a trace. He did it perfectly this morning, as well as yesterday, so what was the problem? Gritting his teeth, he tried again, and again, and AGAIN. Not once did a spark appear. Where was his power? Where was HIS QUIRK?!
BOOM! As the spark went off from the verdette's hand, a small thought came to Bakugo's mind as he began to walk towards Izuku. Surely he couldn't, right? Deku would never do such a thing. Yet there it was. The very thing that made him better than all his peers. The sparks that used to pop from his palms now in the hands of another. His most prized possession, just gone, stolen. Stolen by the very person standing before him.
"Give it back." He said quietly as he tugged on Izuku's shirt. The class grew silent as they tried to hear just what the ashen-blonde tried to say,
"Kacchan?" Asked a confused Izuku as he felt his shirt being pulled with a great amount of force. He didn't understand what exactly was happening. He had a quirk now. Maybe Bakugou wanted to be friends again. Maybe their dreams to be the top two heroes could finally get back on track. A smile etched on Izuku's face as he tried to imagine the fun that they would have when he forgave his friend. The look on Bakugou's face however said otherwise.
"I said to GIVE IT BACK!" Pain exploded from Izuku's cheek as he fell to the ground. Before the teachers could even understand what was going on, Bakugou was on top of Izuku. Fists clenched as he started to repeatedly punch the already downed boy. "Give me back my quirk you stupid deku!" The blonde shouted as he rammed his fist into the other boy's stomach. Not stopping in his assault, Bakugou shouted as tears started to well up in his eyes. The anger faded and fear started to take its place. What if this was how he would be forever? He just got this power, and it was already slipping through his hands. No! He would not lose this! He'd beat this thief and take it back from his dead body if he had to. His quirk was his own, and the only person to be using it, was HIM!
"Kacchan, wait!" Izuku tried to understand the situation, but the younger Bakugo wouldn't let him utter a word as he brought his fists down harder and with more intensity. Instinctively Midoriya put his hands up to shield from the attack, but as his and Katsuki's hands met, a small explosion shot forwards as it hit Izuku straight in the face. Small gashes appeared on the boy as he fell into unconsciousness, soot covering his face, the minor shockwave from the blast making him hit his head on the floor beneath him, causing a concussion. The baffled teachers quickly regained themselves and rushed over to the two boys while simultaneously reaching for their phones to call both an ambulance and the respective parents to inform them of what happened. With the look of shock still plastered on their faces, they knew that something incredibly horrible was brought into this world.
That is the rewrite of chapter one. as you can see AFO is no longer just one man. But a vestige of the first user who corrupts other users instead to lengthen his lifespan per se. Of course, this causes loopholes in future chapters. Like the meeting between AFO and Yoichi, but those will be fixed later on.
The reasons I did this was because:
An over 100 year old man not only marrying but making love to a woman in her twenties is just...I don't even want to think about the factors that end up in that happening.
I still wanted a villain in this story, not one that was bred just for the sake of it like I was planning to do with Tenko, but a true one that didn't need justification or reason for his actions and using someone who was there before and was known as the end all be all seemed a better choice for me
A few questions may pop up like:
How did Hisashi survive then?
The first time was a situation like Bakugou from the Two Heroes movie. He just...blacked out.
The second time is a bit simple but more complicated than the second one. From what I understand about AFO (and this is my judgement so it may very well be wrong, if it is then just use the explanation for this story only) It feeds off negative emotions. Like when Deku saw Bakugou get injured, him losing it made Shigaraki and AFO able to enter the vestige world. It was only through the help of the other vestiges and him clearing his head that AFO got pushed back. You could say that the slap from Inko had the same effect for Hisashi. Just the shock and Inko's mad muttering gave him something else to focus on, and that kept AFO away for a while.
Why does Bakugou know what beating someone to death means at 4 years old?
...Really? Bakugou heard it from Mitsuki. I can just imagine him overhearing her saying something like "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" and him just repeating it until she found out
Why are you still rewriting the chapters if you're not completing the story?
...Honestly, I don't know how I feel about this fanfic. I was 100% sure that when I started to write again that this story had to go...but a comment that I didn't see before going on hiatus changed my mind. It made me remember why I wanted to write in the first place. Thank you to The Girls for that review, it's been a really depressing state for me lately and you never really know just how a few words can uplift someone. So I will redo the chapters of this fanfic and when the time comes, i'll truly decide whether or not to continue it.
i think that's everything so that's all for now.
Peace
