"Hey, squirts!" Axel called. "What are the pair of you up to over there?"

The red-haired Nobody made his way over to where his two younger allies were stood. They were in the middle of one of the white rooms of Castle Oblivion - with a large pile of certain orange fruits loomed before them.

"Xion and I are pumpkin carving!" Roxas explained.

"Pumpkin carving?" Axel repeated, raising his eyebrow.

"Uh huh." Xion nodded cheerfully. "It's the right time of the year for doing this, Axel; Halloween is on the way!"

Axel chuckled. "Well I'd better stick around to do it with you! You two are gonna need a responsible adult around! Carving with a knife is dangerous for kids like you! Got it memorized?"

Roxas and Xion subtly exchanged bemused looks. They'd dealt with far more dangerous things than knives together - and the two of them had always come out alright. Besides, Axel was as far from a responsible adult as any adult could come.

"We aren't using knives to carve these pumpkins, Axel," Xion said.

"No," Roxas said, "We're using these!"

The boy and girl stood back to back, holding up their iconic weapons in their hands to be seen by the redhead.

"Your Keyblades?!" Axel exclaimed in disbelief. "You're gonna carve pumpkins with your Keyblades?"

"Nothing wrong with that!" Roxas declared, swinging his own key-shaped weapon. "They're far cooler for us to create art into these pumpkins than knives!"

"Safer as well!" Xion added.

"Carving pumpkins with Keyblades?!" Axel snickered. "Now I've heard of everything!"

Not caring how Axel was laughing at their antics, Roxas and Xion turned away from him. They had taken a pumpkin each from the pile to place in front of them. Using their Keyblades, they attempted to cut into its solid rounded surface, intending to make spooky-themed pictures upon it for Halloween.

The trouble was, as they both found out, that trying to carve into a pumpkin while holding their tools at arms length wasn't easy.

"This is tough!" Roxas remarked. "I can't pierce my Keyblade into it!"

Axel watched with a fold of his arms. He was amused by his fellow Nobodies trying to use their iconic weapons to create art on the pumpkins - without much success.

"I can barely draw a line on it!" Xion commented. "Let alone a picture!"

"Your Keyblades are no good, guys! To carve pumpkins, you need real tools - like these!"

Without warning, Axel suddenly summoned his chakrums. He held his two lethal disc-shaped weapons up in his hands, one on each side of his head.

"Move aside, kids," he said. "Let a pro show you how to carve pumpkins!"

Roxas and Xion hurriedly made their way to a safe spot in the room. They watched as Axel hurled his weapons as hard as he could. The Chakrums spun through the air flying towards the large pile of pumpkins - to chop every one of them into itty bitty pieces.

The two teenagers could only watch with wide, shocked eyes as the large fruits they'd gathered were sliced and diced. Thick pumpkin juice flew upwards, almost hitting white ceiling of the room before falling back downwards - to splatter onto Axel.

"Uggggghhhhh!"

A disgusted cry escaped the Nobody as he was hit by the sludgy orange liquid. It clung onto him, sticking to his dark clothes and red hair. A good potion of the pumpkin juice hit the white walls and floor of the room, but nowhere as near as much as the amount that poured down Axel's enraged face.

Having seen all that had happened to their friend, Roxas and Xion burst into laughter. It was so satisfying to watch what Axel done to their pumpkins backfire on him. It was a taste of well-deserved karma for him. The only thing more entertaining than carving pumpkins was to see their juice splatter on the cocky redhead.

"Yuck!" Axel groaned, wiping away juice that had seeped over his eyes. "This ain't supposed to happen to a pro!"

"Cheer up, Axel!" Xion giggled. "At least you've added a bit of colour to the white atmosphere of this castle!"

"And plus, it goes well with your clothes and hair!" Roxas chuckled. "Orange is the new black - and the new red, for that matter!"

Axel made an irked face, listening to the roaring and tittering from the young Nobodies. The sounds of Roxas and Xion laughing at him was guaranteed to haunt him all throughout this Halloween.

He hoped the sight of him covered in pumpkin juice was one image that his friends would not get memorized.
