ReyArk: I do love her character. But, I think that she fits more for Gasper compared to either of them.
Streetlife34: For that first one, I can understand that, it was just that I had to do so much in a chapter and add write different scenes like the fighting. I plan on adding that on a later date since there was so much going on already with him being the traitor, then threatening their parents. And for the second, I think the same thing since the two of them are a lot alike in terms of fighting style.
Guest: That would be hilarious and a great nod to Devil May Cry 5 too.
Guest 2: Yeah, he'd be the one who understands Issei the most compared to them.
Guest 3: Both of those would be hilarious things, and you're correct despite losing her powers, there are almost no being in their world that can pose a threat to Ophis.
A New Beginning
"Ngh."
Kazuki found himself waking up earlier than usual, finding himself staring at the ceiling of his bedroom, while a still sleeping Asia wrapped her arms around him. He couldn't help thinking about the previous battle that he and Issei had against Vali the other day. Kazuki was well aware that the two would end up being outclassed from the fact Vali had vast experience and potential that surpassed theirs. Not surprising since he heard the silver-haired young man was the great-grandson of the original Lucifer.
"I know the two of us weren't friends, but…."
Kazuki stared up at the ceiling thinking back to the first time that he met Vali.
Neither of them had much interaction, but it seemed as if Vali was bemused by the fact that Kazuki chose not to accept Divine Dividing, becoming the Hakuryuukou. He simply acted as an escort for Azazel, who'd sense that the new Hakuryuukou made an appearance in Japan. It wasn't until he agreed to train him, that Kazuki started to interact with Vali and he didn't learn much about him despite that.
"It looks as if he cares about nothing aside from fighting and finding strong opponents," Kazuki uttered as Asia in an exhausted manner began groaning. "He doesn't appear to be the kind of person who'd talk about his past, but I can't help but be curious about what resulted in his obsessive desire to fight strong opponents. I doubt that he'll ever talk about it though unless it's a condition or something."
Kazuki found himself talking to himself without having anything else to do but then started thinking about what was going to happen in the future. Amid thinking about that, he had to urge to drink something first and foremost, then realized that it'll be difficult for some to get up if Asia doesn't release him.
"Well, I doubt that this will be that hard. I'd gotten quite used to breaking free from Asia-chan's surprising vice grip after some personal experience. No matter how much I say that out loud, it'll never stop being surprising," Kazuki found himself laughing after mentioning that out loud while beginning to do just that. "Come on, Asia-chan."
"Ngg."
Asia groaned cutely in her sleep as if rejecting that idea.
Despite not being awake or conscious, it was always adorable to see her acting clingy in situations such as this, but she managed to relent as Kazuki gently rubbed her head. Having managed to free himself from Asia, Kazuki thought about going on an early morning jog, something that he had made a habit of doing in the past.
Having finished getting dressed in a jogging suit with the Kuoh Academy insignia, he silently left his bedroom. He wondered what Asia would do after realizing that he wasn't there, but thought that he would return before anyone had breakfast first. Arriving downstairs, he found himself wanting to drink something before leaving, but Kazuki stopped after hearing that someone else was downstairs too. Making it to the last step, it was just who he'd expected, his mother, Miki was standing in the kitchen, getting an early start.
"Oh, looks who's up early too," Miki said, smiling after seeing her youngest son standing there. "Well, this sure does bring back memories. It seems as if the two of us were always the earlier risers in the morning, while your father and brother would always wake up much later."
"Well, Tou-san has an actual reason, while Nii-san finds himself dwelling in his perverted fantasies sometimes. It got worse since Rias-senpai started sleeping in his room too."
"Ufufu, yes, Rias-chan sure has been a good addition, similar to our Asia-chan. It feels as if we're raising our two new daughters-in-law," Miki said, smiling at the thought of having two new "daughters" added to their family. A wry laugh could be heard from Kazuki at the thought of that, not that he had an issue with marrying Asia. "Since it has been such a long time. How about we talk for some time before you go out on your early morning jog?"
Kazuki found himself thinking about that and immediately nodded his head in agreement. For the last time, he remembered all the times that he'd talked to his mother the most. Of course, in the past, he wasn't the most healthy person, which was the reason that hanging around his mother was the most comforting for him.
Agreeing to that, Kazuki and Miki took a seat on the living room couch, having first made some tea for them both to drink. Before starting up the conversation, both the mother and son took a sip from the teacup in their hands, a satisfying breath escaped from their mouths.
"In the past month, a lot of changes have occurred in our life thus far."
Miki said, thinking back to the first time that she and her husband met Asia and Rias.
"Tell me about it. I didn't think that things such as this would start happening."
Kazuki added, thinking more towards the events that happened after he became the Hakuruukou, while Issei had awakened as the Seikeiryuutei. But, of course, he couldn't mention something such as that two their mothers aside from being odd to reveal. It'd do nothing aside from worrying their parents if either of them heard about the supernatural and the events that happened under their noses.
"I never thought that two beautiful foreigners would begin living in our home. I almost didn't know what to think at first, but Asia-chan and Rias-chan have been the most wonderful young women. Since Asia-chan moved in she's been nothing more than a blessing. She does her best to help with chores and learns everything that I taught her in being an exceptional woman. Asia-chan has taken more to learn about being a Hyoudou woman. Rias-chan was already exceptional herself and is learning the same thing as Asia-chan."
Miki said as Kazuki could hear that his mother enjoying the company of the blonde and crimson-haired young women. Something that he couldn't agree with more, more so since he found himself loving the fact that he and Asia shared the same feelings for one another. Not that he had anything against Rias, but Asia was one of the main people he'd always wanted to become acquainted with no matter what other possibilities were right in front of him.
"Yeah, being around Asia-chan has been an experience that I wouldn't want to trade for anything in the world."
"I can see that. I know that Asia-chan and Irina-chan share some similarities. But, there's quite the big difference between them."
Miki spoke cryptically while looking a bit wonderingly, without showing what was on her mind.
"What would that be?"
Kazuki curiously asked, not knowing what that was as he drank the tea his mother prepared.
He noticed that there were similarities between Asia and Irina the first time that he'd started getting to know more about the former. In that instance, a teasing smirk could be seen on Miki's face as she nudged her youngest son on the shoulder, then replied.
"Because I don't think that Asia-chan slept with you yet if you know what that means."
"Pft!"
Kazuki found himself almost spitting out and then coughing on the tea that he'd drunk, having heard those words from his mother of all people. Noticing that reaction from her youngest son, Miki placed her hand right in front of her mouth, while laughing a bit.
"Wh-What?!"
Having recovered, Kazuki found himself asking that question as his mother finished laughing.
"Ufufu, did you think that I wouldn't notice the change between you and Irina-chan the day after," Miki stated in a knowing tone, something that made Kazuki wonder whether or not he'd taken mainly more after his mother than their father. "Believe me, I am an experienced woman and a mother too. So, being able to tell when something of this nature happens is something I'm quite skilled at. Ah, my sweet innocent boy is maturing."
"Ugh."
Kazuki couldn't help groaning, realizing that he couldn't hide anything from his mother. But, hearing all this nearly took the energy out of him.
"So, what did it feel like sleeping with Irina-chan?"
Miki started teasingly nudging Kazuki's shoulder, while his face started turning redder and redder as time passed as his embarrassment started building up. There wasn't a single response that he could give to his mother, but at this point, nothing would make things better.
"I wonder when we could expect our first grandchild," Miki added as she could simply imagine the joys of being a grandmother. "Ah, I don't mind either Irina-chan or Asia-chan getting pregnant. I doubt either of them would mind taking some time off school. I sure wouldn't mind watching my grandchild, while you all finish up school and even college. Uh, I want my first grandchild to be a girl. I know that she'd be the most adorable little girl around."
"I'm leaving! I'll be right back!"
Kazuki replied, unable to handle the embarrassing comments from his mother anymore.
Miki was surprised about the amount of time for Kazuki to open and leave the door, then lock it without lagging at all. Noticing the expression Kazuki made caused her to smile, then placed a hand on the right side of her cheek.
"Ara, while it's true that my adorable Kazuki has become mature. But, I'm so glad that we can still share moments such as this. Well, let's get back to our little family's breakfast."
Miki couldn't help smiling about the situation, feeling herself welling with energy at the conversation that she just shared with her youngest son. She then happily started finishing the preparations for the breakfast meant for her beloved family within the Hyoudou Residence.
Meanwhile, Kazuki was amid undergoing his jog, while attempting to get his mind off the conversation that he just had moments ago. A long time ago, he underwent this exercise to build up endurance and stamina, after the first couple of times, he got exhausted. But, as time passed, Kazuki managed to build up his stamina more than most with his previous condition.
However, as time passed, then gaining a dragon's heart, and his stamina and endurance has steadily raised far more than regular humans. Although, he heard some of the humans, e.i. sacred gear users from Grigori who outpaced him in terms of that. It has already been several minutes, but Kazuki hasn't once stopped jogging since leaving the Hyoudou Residence.
"I need to start training more and getting stronger," Kazuki said out loud as he started weaving passed the people walking down the street. "Vali and other sacred gear users, with or without Longinus have a head start and more experience than I do. First things first, I should focus on increasing the amount of time that I can use my Balance Breaker. I need to also explore different possibilities for Divine Dividing in its normal state and balance breaker. I think that the first thing is figuring out what Zirnitra meant about our Juggernaut Drive."
[Don't think about going down the same road as Vali and my previous hosts.]
Albion said, talking to Kazuki in his head.
"I know, I know, based on the conversation, it isn't as easy to use as Balance Breaker. So, can you explain it?"
Kazuki asked as Albion let a sigh escape from his mouth.
[Right after Ddraig and I was sealed within the Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing, God placed a seal on both of our original powers. The same thing could be said about other remarkably powerful beasts and monsters sealed in Sacred Gears, but ours is different from theirs. If activated, the user would be drowned in the immense power, which can rival that of God and the Four Great Satan. Using it will drain the user's life force, resulting in not just destruction of the area around them, but themselves in the process. It's a forbidden power that shouldn't be taken lightly.]
"Come on, I never take anything lightly. But, just because this Juggernaut Drive sound impossible to use doesn't mean that it's impossible to figure out."
Kazuki replied, showing nothing short of confidence in what was ahead of him.
[Hahaha, as always, you sound as if you'll take whatever challenge is ahead of you.]
Albion seemed amused by the response that Albion had given to him.
"Well, I wasn't joking when I previously said that I would surpass the previous Hakuryuukou that came before me and what it means to house a Heavenly Dragon. So, since the Juggernaut Drive releasing the original power that you held, then that means it's going to be another big hurdle for me to cross. No matter what happens, I'll never turn into someone other than who I am."
Kazuki added while sounding fearless.
[Humph, you're a strange host. But, I'm interested in seeing what you're going to do in the future.]
Albion started sounding interested and almost proud.
As Kazuki and Albion talked, he realized that he found himself inside of the park that he passed from time to time and stopped. It wasn't that he was tired or anything, but he'd looked forward confused as an undeniably beautiful blonde-haired woman stood there; dressed in clothing that wouldn't look weird for someone normal. She caught the attention of the men and women walking by, while she waved toward him.
More than anything, Kazuki recognized the blonde-haired woman as she was looking and smiling straight at him, confusion showing on his face.
"Gabriel-san?"
Kazuki said as the woman gave an innocent and saintly smile.
"Good morning, Kazuki-kun~"
Gabriel replied, approaching him as the men and woman around them couldn't help staring at the woman with a divine body approaching Kazuki.
"What're you doing here?"
"Hmm, well, there were some things Michael-sama and the others were still wondering about following the treaty," Gabriel replied, then continued. "There was the reveal about Ophis and then the betrayal of Vali, who was the great-grandson of the original Lucifer. Both of whom were also involved with you, but because of the situations at hand, no one else had the time right now to talk about it. And so, I volunteered to talk to Kazuki-kun."
Revealing that, Gabriel proudly placed both hands on her waist, then puffed up her chest, causing her abundant breasts to bounce up and down. In witnessing this event, the men and women almost found their jaws dropping in witnessing such a sight. Noticing them staring, Kazuki looked around, realizing that having a conversation here would attract unnecessary attention.
"Uh, let's have this conversation somewhere else."
"Okay~"
Gabriel innocently replied, then noticed that Kazuki instinctively grabbed a hold of her hand as he started leading her to a more private location. Noticing the contact, Gabriel looked forward with flushed cheeks as she was able to feel the sensation of Kazuki's hands.
"Oh my."
Gabriel almost couldn't comprehend the fact that Kazuki was holding onto her hand and leading her somewhere.
"Hmm?"
Kazuki started realizing something, then turned around to find what he was doing and the redness that started to paint one of the Four Great Seraph's faces.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Gabriel-san," Kazuki released Gabriel's hand, much to both her surprise and the slightest hint of disappointment. He started recalling the softness that originated from Gabriel's hands, making him reveal the feel of having his face buried into her breasts. Both of which was the softest thing that he had ever come into contact with. "Ah, I grabbed onto Gabriel-san's hand without thinking. I made it a habit of leading Asia-chan around town since she doesn't know much about the places here. Recently, the two of us started getting comfortable enough to hold hands without thinking about it. And Gabriel-san reminds me of Asia-chan so much that I did it without thinking."
"T-There's nothing to apologize about," Gabriel said as she started looking on innocently while linking her hands together right in front of her face. "I-It was the first time that I held another man's hand and Kazuki-kun's hand felt strong and warm too. I-I wouldn't mind holding Kazuki-kun's hand again."
Witnessing the innocence practically radiating from the Seraph, Kazuki, as well as the men witnessing this felt as if their hearts skipped a beat. There was nothing in the Human World that could be or look as innocent and pure as the blonde-haired woman standing right there.
"We'll let's head somewhere we both know to have that talk."
Kazuki said in more of a rush as the feeling of Gabriel's hand could still be felt on his; the Seraph, too recalled a similar feeling from Kazuki's hand.
Both arrived in the newly refurbished Chated in Kuoh Teing no different from the newly built building that it was before. It was likely much better than ever been before, something that Gabriel openly admitted whenever looking at the finished job. Both Kazuki and Gabriel sat at one of the seats in the Church, the two holdings recently purchased drinks in their hands.
"Hah, after a jog, a cold drink always feels the most refreshing."
"Hmm, I'm grateful that Kazuki-kun bought me a drink too. I'll be sure to return the favor in the future," there was nothing short of genuinely grateful feeling as Gabriel drank the drink. "I wouldn't mind jogging with Kazuki-kun at some point too."
"Ah, s-sure," not that Kazuki hated the idea of going out on a job with Gabriel. But, thinking about all the possible reactions from himself and others from seeing the Seraph's breasts bouncing up and down, caused a bit of worry for him. "So, what was the first thing that Michael-sama, Sirzechs-san, and Azazel were curious about?"
"Hmm, I think that the first thing would be about the relationship between yourself and Ophis. I'm quite curious about that myself as I haven't heard about the Ouroboros Dragon taking an interest in anyone from this world."
Kazuki could hear the genuine curiosity from Gabriel, believing no one among the Three Factions' leaders held any kind of suspicion about him. But, if others, such as those among the Underworld Government heard about it, then there would be some complaints directed at him. So, actual questioning such as this was within the realm of possibilities as a means of getting the truth out in the open.
"So, I guess that the first encounter that I had with Ophis-san was…."
During his time in middle school, Kazuki found himself doing what he did moments ago with Gabriel, which was a jog. Differing from before, he was having some trouble maintaining the same regular training routine and found himself breathing a far heavier. From time to time, Kazuki would see people around him either watching or cheering him on silently.
Not much time passed as Kazuki found himself stopping to catch his breath around town, before taking a seat on a wooden bench. Sweat was dripping from his forehead while looking toward the ground and also attempting to catch his breath. Seconds passed as he started taking careful breaths, ones that he learned about meant for him to recover faster. Aside from his regular studies, Kazuki found himself researching martial arts to assist him in this physical training.
"Hah, I should be fine in a couple of more minutes."
Kazuki found himself uttering in a still tired tone.
[….]
"Hmm."
Kazuki suddenly felt a familiar pulse within himself.
It has been something that he experienced from time to time before and hearing someone speaking to him sometimes too.
"Ah, are you there again," Kazuki asked in a low tone, not wanting someone to think he was talking to himself. "I'd think that I was simply hearing things, but I have this feeling that isn't the case. I also remember even hearing the same voice during classes and in my dreams too. Oh, I guess that he doesn't want to speak again."
Kazuki felt as if he was in the middle of going insane, believing that someone was speaking to him and having all these weird feelings too. It was then that he kept having the same feeling as if there was someone or something around him different from normal people. Kazuki looked around aimlessly in search of wherever this feeling was originating from. It reached the point that he stood up to his feet, then started walking around in an attempt to find out where this feeling was coming from.
"Uh, where's this weird feeling coming from?"
Kazuki curiously asked.
Not much time passed, as Kazuki found himself staring at a black-haired girl, who looked out of place among the crowd watching by. She looked to be around the same height as him with thin arms, dressed in clothing based on Gothic Lolita fashion. Almost no one seemed to register the mysterious black-haired girl's presence as she stared at whatever was in front of her.
Despite no one paying no attention to the black-haired girl, Kazuki couldn't take his attention from her. There was something about her different from the people around them, and something within him felt attracted to her. Upon approaching the black-haired girl, he tried getting her attention.
"Um, excuse me."
"…."
The girl paid him no attention as she continued looking forward.
He didn't know whether or not she paid attention to him, instead of continuing to look forward at whatever was sold in the store she was staring at. Kazuki looked forward and could see that the black-haired girl was staring into the window display of a store selling doughnuts. For some reason instead of heading inside of the store to purchase one, she seemed to continue staring at them.
"Uh, do you want a doughnut?"
Kazuki asked.
"A, doughnut?"
For the first time, the black-haired girl turned around to face him and stared straight at Kazuki.
"…?"
Kazuki was almost surprised as the black-haired girl stared straight at him as if she was peering inside his soul. It was the first time that he'd seen such eyes that had almost no emotion or spirit behind them, almost as if she were nothing more than a doll. For some reason, now she seemed more interested in Kazuki while tilting her head to the side surprisingly cutely.
"You're, Albion?"
"Uh, who's Albion? No, my name is Kazuki, Kazuki Hyoudou."
Kazuki was confused that she'd call him a name such as "Albion", which seemed to originate from Britain instead of Japan. But, mentioning that name did feel a bit weird for him, as something within him was still reacting to the black-haired young girl.
"You're half-awake, it seems. Your host appears aware, but not conscious yet."
She uttered, not seeming to show no reaction to Kazuki tilting his head to the side oddly.
"Uh, what does that mean?"
"It doesn't matter. But, are these called doughnuts?"
She asked, pointing at the round doughy deserts being openly displayed in the window.
Kazuki found the black-haired girl's reactions odd, but somewhat cute at the same time.
"Yes, those are doughnuts. You've never heard of them before?"
"No."
"Do you want one?"
"…," for some reason, the black-haired girl started looking back and forth from the doughnuts and then Kazuki for some time. It looked as if she was trying to decide whether or not she wanted one, but the smell reaching her nose was too pleasing for her. "Yes."
"Hmm, I wanted something to eat too. So, let's share them."
"Share?"
For Kazuki, most would react to sharing as if not wanted to do that in the first place. However, for the girl right in front of him, it looked as if she genuinely had no idea what it meant.
"Sharing. You know, when two people equally eat from the same thing," Kazuki replied, as the black-haired girl looked to be confused about it. "You've never shared anything with anyone before."
"…," the girl shook her head, not understanding the concept of "sharing". "Never had anything to "share" before."
"Oh, that's sad. Well, let's fix that."
Kazuki said, heading inside of the doughnut shop to purchase doughnuts for himself and the mysterious girl.
"Albion, sharing," the black-haired girl was attempting to figure out the concept behind sharing something, then a thought came to mind. "Doesn't Albion steal power and add it into his own, while Ddraig double power, then sends it to someone else or something? Hmm, odd."
Not much time passed as Kazuki exited the doughnut shop carrying around a bag in his hands, which he'd held in front of the girl.
"Here's their doughnut," Kazuki held up the bag before opening it, causing the scent to attract her attention. "And this is sharing. See?"
Kazuki fished a doughnut from the bag, then held it in front of the black-haired girl, who stared at it for a moment before taking it from his hand. Seeing her taking one, he reached inside the bag and took one for himself.
"This is sharing. I gave you one and now I have one too. Get it."
"Sharing. Does that mean you want something from me?"
"Hmm, no. Sharing means that you share things evenly without getting anything more, but that's something you'd tend to do with friends and family."
"I don't have friends or family."
She replied while eating the doughnut in her hands.
"Huh, really," Kazuki replied, finishing the doughnut in his hands. "That's sad."
"Really?"
She didn't appear to see anything wrong with it, having had the need or desire to have anything that resembled a friend or family. Kazuki didn't realize this at the moment, but the girl in front of him was an existence that went far beyond anything and anyone he'd meet in the possible future.
"Hmm, well, then I can fix at least one of those things."
Kazuki stated as he handed Ophis another doughnut, which she took without question. At least, in regards to the round and soft desert that she started eating.
"Fix what?"
She then looked to find that Kazuki was holding out his hand while staring at it curiously.
"I'll be your first friend."
Kazuki declared, seeing nothing wrong with that.
"You'll be my friend."
"Yes, why not?"
"What does a friend mean? Do you want something from me in return?"
"No no, a friend is someone who'll be there whenever you want someone to talk to and to be around. It doesn't have to be for a particular reason, you could just want to see that person since it makes them feel better. There are going to be times that friends give each other gifts, but sometimes you don't have to accept anything in return. It could be just an honest gesture of their friendship."
"A gesture of friendship?"
"Yeah, kinda like this."
At a surprising moment for her, Kazuki handed her what remained of all the doughnuts that the two of them were doing to be sharing. Taking the bag off his hands, the black-haired stared at the item, which currently rests in her hands.
"I thought…."
"Well, at the moment, I'm in the middle of training," Kazuki replied, scratching the back of his head while wearing a genuine smile. "So, I planned on eating one or two doughnuts at most. Besides, I thought that it would be good if you had the rest of the doughnuts since you said that it was your first time eating them."
She looked on confused about the gesture from Kazuki, obviously being the first time that someone has done it for her. Noticed that Kazuki was stretching, preparing himself to continue with his jog. Opening the bag in her hands, he looked to find that she retrieved one of the remaining doughnuts. Instead of eating it, she'd instead extended it towards him.
Though, the black-haired girl's expression remained unchanged, Kazuki could tell that the gesture in itself was as genuine as a person wanting to be friends.
"This is sharing, correct?"
"Yes, that's it."
Kazuki replied, smiling and taking the snack off her hands.
She was unaware of the concept of sharing and friends, but witnessing and performing such an act right then and there wasn't a bad feeling for her. As Kazuki finished eating the doughnut that was handed to him, he looked forward in an attempt to ask the other question on his mind.
"So, what's your…name?"
Kazuki couldn't find the black-haired girl anywhere no matter where he looked. He knew that she was there, but a simple conclusion was that she faded into the crowd of people near them. Scratching his head from confusion about her sudden departure caused Kazuki to wonder why she left.
"Hmm, well, I'm sure that I'll see her again some other time. I don't know why, but there's something deep within me that can still feel her around here somewhere."
Kazuki concluded, before continuing with his job, not realizing that the black-haired girl had appeared in one of the nearby buildings. Her attention was on Kazuki, who continued with his job while continuing to eat the snacks given to her. She was well aware of the fact that Kazuki was the current generation of Hakuryuukou and that the Sekiryuutei was in the same location as well. Of course, this black-haired girl wasn't ordinary as she's a Dragon God, the Ouroboros Dragon, Ophis.
"Sharing, and friends," Ophis said as she watched Kazuki continuing to jog. "It feels nice."
As the Dragon God of Infinity, she hadn't considered or encountered such a concept before, nor as anyone in the past offered such things to her. Her powers reached infinity, but she received such minimal things right then was gave her a new experience.
"And that's about it," Kazuki said, finishing the story that he'd begun telling Gabriel, who seemed surprised about it. "After I hadn't seen her afterward until during the Kokabiel incident, where she helped me."
"Hmm, this is interesting. No one has had such an interaction with Ophis before, but I think that it's wonderful that Kazuki-kun befriended a Dragon God."
"I mean, it wasn't like I knew about all that."
"But, to her, that friendship between you two was important enough that she didn't want to lose you."
Gabriel added, reminding him that Katerea herself mentioned that no one among the Khaos Brigade was allowed to kill him. In addition to that, if those who received Ophis' snake tried doing so, then they'd lose the power she'd handed off to them. Kazuki's response caused Gabriel to sense that he didn't want things to divulge into an all-out battle because the result would be various casualties.
"I hope so too. But, there'll still be those among those following the Old Maou's long-sought desire for dominating the world with or without them."
"Yeah, but taking removing Ophis and Vali out of the equation would make handling them easier. Though, there could be other things about the Khaos Brigade that we don't know about. So, we should focus on figuring out the entire group before doing anything else serious."
"Yes, that's quite the thoughtful approach, but it looks as if Grigori's group is handling that part too. It looks as if Azazel-san and his group have done a better job in understanding the situation of the current world aside from us among Heaven and the Underworld."
"Well, it's not surprising considering the situation that the Underworld and Heaven had to handle on their sides. In addition to the fact that Azazel sometimes looks as if he has too much free time on his hand, then it's not much of a surprise he knows this much stuff," Kazuki said before noticing the time on his cellphone, noticing he needed to head back home for school. "So, I should return home to get prepared for school."
"Hmm, I see. I wouldn't want to keep you here, then," Gabriel said, standing to her feet and fixing her clothing as she sent a gentle smile in Kazuki's direction. "So, then we'll see one another again in the future."
"Ah, of course, I wouldn't mind seeing Gabriel-san more often too."
Kazuki replied, causing the Seraph to give a faint blush, something that he couldn't help noticing too.
"Hmm, is that so," Gabriel uttered and started shyly poking her fingers together repeatedly, appearing nothing but adorable. "If that's the case, then I wouldn't mind going there too."
"Huh, going where?"
"N-Nothing," Gabriel replied, causing more suspicion as she manifested a magic circle that was releasing a bright and beautiful light. "I hope to talk to Kazuki more in the future."
Those were the last words from the Seraph before vanishing from the inside of the Church, leaving him alone as he figured he'd head home.
Returning home, Kazuki took a quick shower, then headed back downstairs to eat breakfast with the others, who lived under the same roof. Afterward, the group headed off towards Kuoh Academy, where their regular school activities continued forward without interruption.

Kazuki asked, causing the people standing inside the room to imagine having Serafall as their club adviser, more so since the group has seen how she could be. With that in mind, the group almost couldn't put any more blame on Sona for choosing Azazel over Serafall.
"Well, either way, it seems as if you're all stuck with me. Besides, this was something that Sirzechs himself even requested too," Azazel nonchalantly replied, before continuing. "So, since I'm here, it looks as if I can start scoring with the schoolgirls here."

Rias declared, not wanting Azazel of all people to "score" with the girls attending Kuoh Academy.
"You're so stubborn Rias Gremory. I was joking, if anything, I'm more likely to score with their single mothers who'd seemed interested in me playing the cool dad."

Not surprising considering my Sacred Gear knowledge, and because your group will end up being a deterrent against the Khaos Brigade. I'm quite knowledgeable about the Wendish Dragon, that one appears to also have assembled his team, called the Vali Team. At the moment, one of the members is Bikou, the current Monkey King. A discussion will be held about the others between the leaders in the future."
Azazel said, turning the attention towards the two people in question. Kazuki was aware that he'd have to talk to them considering the situation at hand. But, he knew that he couldn't mention Kuroka, because Koneko still isn't in the right state of mind for that talk.
"Are Vali and the others going to attack again?"
Issei asked, causing Azazel to shake his head.
"No, this was a rare chance for an assassination of the faction leaders, but that failed. Their current opponents are now the union between Heaven and the Underworld, which now involved Grigori too. Also, those among both the sides have stockpiled strong sacred and demonic beasts too."
"…so, it's a war then?"
"No, this is still at the skirmish level. Both sides are still in the preparation phase of the battle, so nothing serious is going to happen in the future. Nothing as serious as a war might happen until you all graduate from college let alone high school. So, please enjoy your school life. However, you'll be doing some preparations too to prepare for that battle too," Azazel pointed out before noticing Issei's expression. "Don't think too hard about things here. Unlike your brother, you don't have the brain to think that hard, Ise. As I said before, the opponent that either you or your brother would face might end up being Vali again. One reason that you could handle him was because of Ascalon, but if there's an opponent who isn't a dragon, then you would've died."

Despite not thinking about things most, Issei could understand that at least.
"So, can you use the Hakuryuukou's power?"
Azazel asked, causing Issei to shake his head.
"As I thought. Despite being twins, it was a gamble to take his Hakuryuukou powers in an attempt to make them your own. However, it's entirely different whether or not you can control it. It could be more difficult than achieving your Balance Breaker. Though, since that power has been recorded onto Ddraig's soul, then training is going to be the deciding factor in using it. Hmm, your powers are still unable, so it looks as if you'll need to undergo a harsher amount of training in the future. Before attempting to achieve any of your goals as a devil, then you'll need to first stabilize Ddraig's power. I'm going to be teaching you all that in the future. I can make you all strong since I am a fallen angel with free time."

Kazuki thought, almost laughing internally in hearing from the person himself that he has too much free time.
"Because he leaves most of the work to Shemhazai-sama and the others," Raynare found herself letting out a light sigh. "Wow, that almost hurts to admit."
"Anyway, I'll also be focusing on training the Forbidden Balor user too. That previous incident proved that if you don't control yourself, then another situation like that might occur.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm so useless! I'm not useless! I'm….!"
"Stop that," Kazuki said in a lighthearted and gentle tone while petting Gasper on the head, causing him to stop berating himself. "You're not useless, with enough training, you'll become more useful than Nii-san."

Issei shouted pointing at his younger brother, while Kazuki seemed to ignore him.
"Hah, seeing the Sekiryuutei and Hakuryuukou being brothers makes my day all the time," Azazel stated, giving an amused laugh. "So, Kazuki and Kiba, how long can you two maintain your Balance Breakers?"
"Ours is about the same. An hour."
Kazuki replied, hearing that Kiba could maintain his Balance Breaker for the same amount of time.
"Hmm, that's no good. At most, you need to maintain it for three days," Azazel said, then turned his attention over to Issei. "I'd heard that you can maintain yours for ten seconds too. So, you'll need to be trained from scratch too. Vali can maintain his Balance Breaker for a month, which should be the clear sign your goal should be."
Hearing that from Azazel caused Issei to be surprised about the clear difference, making him realize once again the reason that he could rebuild his dragon armor multiple times. Having mentioned that, there was silence once again before Azazel turned his attention towards Akeno, who could barely look or speak to him.
"You still hate us, don't you," Azazel asked, causing Akeno to almost flinch from that. "Or is it just Baraqiel?"
"I have no intention of forgiving him. It's that person's fault that my mother died."
Akeno replied coldly, causing them unaware of the situation to be surprised.
"Akeno, when you became a devil, you said nothing about it."
"Naturally. That person isn't in the position where he can say anything to me."
"That's what I meant. No, well, it might be thoughtless of me to enter the business of a parent and child."

Akeno declared, almost removing her calm and composed older sister act, appearing more like an emotional and normal girl her age.

A/N: And there goes the next chapter of The Twin Dragons, well this was the final chapter for this volume of the Twin Dragons. And it showed practically the aftermath of the Three Factions' conference with what Kazuki was feeling and thinking about the entire thing. At the Church, he had a conversation with Gabriel about his initial encounter with Ophis, as well as there is a little moment between them.
Things then proceeded to Azazel being revealed as a new teacher and adviser for their Occult Research Club, as well as their trainer. But, most of all, it looks as if he and Miki Hyoudou was able to tell that the resident Hakuryuukou isn't a virgin anymore. Near the end, it looked as if Kazuki and Asia also shared a moment of their own, which ended with them having sex.
