It's been three years since Link declined Tetra's offer, and decided to remain in the Great Sea. He still ponders the 'what ifs' sometimes; a part of him still pines to sail the rest of the open ocean, and see all the uncharted lands that must be out there. But... this is his home. As long as he's got his family by his side - and, perhaps, a certain Rito too - he has no regrets.

AU! Having rejected Ganondorf's offer of an alliance, Zelda is the target of an attack led by Link, a Hylian swordsman loyal to Ganondorf. Link has been instructed to capture the princess and escort her to the Gerudo Desert where Ganondorf intends to marry her. However as the journey progresses, Link finds himself developing feelings for the princess and vows to protect her.

Amidst the blossoms of a new relationship, Link and Zelda find themselves trying to find a balance between the mounting problems surrounding the Yiga, their personal lives, and the Calamity's 5 year late arrival. The bed was fairly comfortable, although it wasn't as lavish as her bed in the castle had been. Rito feathers gathered over the years. The bed itself was hundreds of years old. It had probably been one of the first casualties, although inconsequential compared to everything else. This bed was definitely comfortable enough, it definitely wasn't the problem, the problem was her mind.

The Breath That Dies was a story of intrigue, where Link's battle between his Yiga upbringing and his duty as the princess's royal knight came to a head. After the events of Twilight Princess, Zelda takes a surviving Ganondorf as a prisoner. Against her better judgement, she finds herself becoming drawn to her captor-turned-captive, and when an old evil arises in the desert, may need to rely on his aid or risk Hyrule falling to ruin.

This story takes place almost 1 full year after Majora's Mask. I try to follow the rules of canon as much as possible and use content from a lot of theory videos I've watched online to try and answer plenty of unanswered questions that Majora's Mask left us to theorize about, but also to tell the story about the ending of the Hero of Time.
