Attempted Murder

After the war Harry took in his godson, Teddy. Teddy's parents died in the war and Andromeda couldn't take care of him. Harry and Teddy lived in one of the Potter houses called the Lion's Den. Molly and Arthur helped Harry and Teddy. Bill, Charlie, and the twins would babysit to give Harry a break. Surprisingly Severus Snape helped Harry finish his seventh year at Hogwarts and helped take care of Teddy. He even gave Teddy a potion to help with the nightmares of the full moon. Ron, Hermione, and Ginny loudly were against Harry taking Teddy in. They stopped talking to Harry and the rest of the Weasleys were disappointed in them.

That night Molly was watching Teddy so that Harry could have a night out. Ron, Ginny, and Hermione had gone to the Lion's Den and burned the house down. Luckily Molly had taken Teddy and flooed to the Burrow after Harry left with Bill and Charlie. It had been decided that the boys would spend the night. The traitorous trio had no idea that the Lion's Den was empty that night nor did they know Molly was babysitting Teddy.

After a couple hours at a bar Harry and the oldest Weasley boys returned to the burrow. Harry was exhausted and had fallen asleep on the couch, snuggling up to Bill. Bill took on the role of being Harry's big brother after he met Harry when he was fourteen. Bill and Charlie were home on vacation and were talking to each other about getting jobs closer to home. They wanted to be closer to home since they nearly lost Percy and their twins weren't there as they were at their store. Percy and Arthur were talking in the kitchen. Percy had come home to apologize. Molly was getting the twin's old room ready for Harry and Teddy to sleep in. Teddy was in Arthur and Molly's room sleeping.

When the trio came home to the burrow, they saw Harry sleeping on the couch. He was alive and well. They had watched the house burn but never checked for bodies. Afterwards they went out and celebrated with a couple rounds of drinks. Seeing Harry, they had a feeling the disgusting werewolf was also alive.

"W-why is Potter here and alive?" Ginny screeched, causing Hermione to elbow them.

Everyone turned to look at them. They were all confused by that statement. Bill tightened his arms around the still sleeping Harry. The others stood protectively in front of Harry and Molly came downstairs when she heard the commotion. No one liked Ginny asking why Harry was alive.

"What do you mean? Of course Harry is alive." Arthur asked them.

"N-nothing." Hermione stuttered.

Molly heard Arthur say that Harry was alive and knew something was wrong. She immediately came down on them. She was going to get the truth out of them.

"You WILL tell ME what the hell is going on." She hissed, as she glared at them.

All three cowed behind the couch. The rest of the Weasleys were glad that Molly's anger was directed at those three and not at them. No one noticed that Harry had woken up. He watched the scene before him in worry. He had a bad feeling about this.

"We set Harry's house on fire, hoping that Potter and that freak would die in it." Ron blurted out, fearful of his mum's temper. He covered his mouth after he said it.

"YOU DID WHAT? HOW DARE YOU TRY TO KILL YOUR FRIEND AND AN INNOCENT CHILD!" Molly screamed.

Now everyone was mad. Harry silently cried after hearing that confession. Bill felt tears on his arm and remembered the ravenette cuddled against him. He felt awful that he forgot to put a silencer around him. The black haired wizard looked up at Bill and wrapped his arms around his neck and cried into his chest. Bill's heart broke when he saw the pain and betrayal in those emerald green eyes. He held him tighter and glared at his siblings and at Hermione. Charlie had fire-called Severus and Kingsley after Ron's confession. It didn't take them long to floo over.

The dragon tamer filled them in on the situation. Kingsley listened and when he heard what Ron said he was pissed. He had come to know Harry and thought of him as a younger brother. Severus was also pissed off. He had come to terms with the fact that he could not blame an innocent child with what his father had done to him. He was starting to care for the young man and even the child he helped to take care of.

Kingsley arrested all three of them and then Severus gave them all veritaserum. Kingsley started with the youngest one first.

"What is your full name?" He asked.

"Ginevra Margret Weasley." Came the monotone answer.

"How old are you?" He asked.

"I am seventeen years old." She answered.

"Why did you burn down Mr. Potter's house?" He asked.

"To kill him and that freak baby." She was forced to answer.

"Why did you want to kill them?" He asked.

"He told me that he wouldn't marry me. I knew he would though and when we do get married I don't want a werewolf around me or any of our future children. I am going to be the next Lady Potter. I'll be rich and famous."

Everyone was angry at her. They all knew that Harry was gay. They never knew how shallow and disturbed Ginny was. They wondered how they missed it, even Severus. She was given the reversal potion and Ron was dosed next.

"What is your full name?" Kingsley asked him.

"Ronald Bilius Weasley." He answered.

"How old are you?"

"Eighteen."

"Why did you burn down Mr. Potter's house?"

"To kill that freak and the werewolf." He answered.

"Why would you want to kill them?" Kingsley asked.

"Potter has everything. Money and fame. He refused to marry my sister to give us his money and he kept all the fame to himself. It wasn't fair. He is now taking care of a werewolf. He is letting my family near it and I won't have it." He revealed to them.

Molly and Arthur wondered where they went wrong with their youngest children. They thought they had raised them to be open minded people. Everyone started to get very angry and they didn't want to hear what Hermione had to say. Too bad Kingsley gave Ron the reversal potion and Severus gave the veritaserum to Hermione.

"What is your full name?"

"Hermione Jean Granger."

"How old are you?"

"Eighteen."

"Why did you burn Mr. Potter's house down?"

"To kill both those freaks."

"Why would you want to kill them?"

"They're freaks. Harry's gay and Teddy is a half-werewolf. Plus Harry isn't going to marry Ginny so I won't get any money." Hermione said.

If looks could kill, then all three would be dead. No one could believe what they just heard. How could they? Even Severus was in disbelief. He had taught them all and yet never knew about this side of them. It was disturbing.

"Hermione Jean Granger, Ronald Bilius Weasley, and Ginevra Margaret Weasley, you are all under arrest for arson and attempted murder of Harrison James Potter and Theodore Remus Lupin." Kingsley informed them.

"WHAT?! Those freaks deserve to die." Ron yelled in anger.

Ron was placed back under a silencer. All three were cuffed, and had magical dampers placed on them, levitated, and taken away by Kingsley. Everyone turned and saw that Bill was trying to calm Harry down. Severus gave Bill a calming draught and Bill managed to get Harry to drink it. Harry calmed down a few seconds later.

"Harry, I think that maybe it would be better if you moved to America." Charlie said, gaining disbelieving looks.

"Why?" Harry asked as he wiped his face.

"America isn't as prejudiced as Britain is." He answered.

"That's right. Nobody would bother you and Teddy could come back to Hogwarts and you could come visit us. We can also visit you as well." Bill agreed. 'Both of them would be safer there.'

"Okay."

Harry decided to go to Bakersfield, California. Teddy and Harry lived there for nine years before they moved to Forks, Washington. There Harry opened up a bakery and Teddy went to muggle school.
