The Pokemon School
After everyone had lunch; Lincoln, Hau, and Professor Kukui head over to the Pokemon School to give Lincoln a tour of it. As they all enter Hau'oli City, Lincoln was still trying to comprehend what happened the last twenty-four hours.
Just yesterday, he was in his home, trying to prevent himself from being pranked by his own, prank-crazy sister, Luan; next thing he knows, he was sent to a tropical region, via the United States Postal Service, full of creatures he never would've imagined even existed.
He fingers the device, known as a pokeball, in his new pants' pocket, which contained one of the creatures, known as Pokemon. Now he's on his way to a school that teaches kids all about them.
A minute later, they soon arrive at the Pokemon School, where Lincoln takes a closer look at everything that was there. As he does, he sees a lot of students, hanging around with all different kinds of Pokemon.
"What do you think so far, Lincoln?" asked Professor Kukui.
"This is so cool!" said Lincoln. As he walks across the track he saw earlier, he hears a rumbling, and felt the ground shaking. He looks around, and sees several students, riding on bull-like Pokemon, heading his way. Out of reflex, he quickly backs up out of their path. One of the students sees Lincoln, and immediately brings the Pokemon she was riding to a complete stop. The student then jumps off and runs over to Lincoln to check on him.
"I am so sorry!" said the student. "I didn't see you on the track!"
"You don't have to apologize." said Lincoln, who was still in a daze over almost getting trampled on. "I should've been looking where I was going." As he gets his senses back, he sees he was talking to the girl he saw earlier, making him blush.
"Hey, didn't I see you earlier?" asked the girl.
"Yeah, that was me." said Lincoln. Just then, Professor Kukui and Hau come running over to check up on him.
"Hey, are you all right?" asked Hau.
"I'm fine." replied Lincoln. "No harm done." The girl notices Professor Kukui standing next to Hau.
"Oh, Alola, Professor Kukui." said the girl.
"Alola, Mallow." said Professor Kukui.
"What brings you here?" asked the girl now known as Mallow. "Isn't it your week off?"
"I'm just showing our newest student here around." said Professor Kukui. Mallow then looks over at Lincoln.
"Alola." said Mallow. "I'm Mallow."
"Uh, Alola to you, too." said Lincoln. "My name is Lincoln Loud."
"Where are you from?" asked Mallow.
"A city in America." explained Hau.
"When did you get here?" asked Mallow.
"Earlier today." said Lincoln.
"Did you get here by boat, or plane?" asked Mallow.
"Plane, I think." said Lincoln.
"How come you're not sure?" asked Mallow.
"The box I was in didn't have eyeholes in it, so I couldn't really see; plus, I was unconscious the whole time." said Lincoln.
"What do you mean 'box'?" asked Mallow. Lincoln explained to Mallow about how he was shipped to the Alola Region against his will, courtesy of a prank by his sister, Luan. After Lincoln finished explaining; Mallow stood there with a shocked look on her face. "Would it be wrong to believe your sister's a little crazy?"
"Not at all; even though 'a little' doesn't come close to describing how far Luan goes on April Fools' Day." said Lincoln. Mallow turned to Professor Kukui.
"Professor. Would it be okay if I gave Lincoln a tour of our school?" asked Mallow.
"That's a good idea; I need to talk to Principal Oak about enrolling Lincoln here, anyway." said Professor Kukui.
"Okay. Come on, Lincoln." said Mallow as she grabs Lincoln's hand, making him blush. She leads Lincoln around the school, showing him all the rooms, and interesting stuff they had there.
"This place is so cool!" said Lincoln.
"It's a great place to learn about Pokemon." said Mallow. "Students and Pokemon learn and study together here." They end the tour at the classroom that Mallow does her learning in. When they enter it, they see a girl with long blonde hair, wearing a white sun hat, dress, and boots.
"Alola, Mallow." said the girl.
"Alola, Lillie." said Mallow. The girl, now known as Lillie, notices Lincoln standing next to Mallow.
"Who's that?" asked Lillie.
"This is Lincoln." said Mallow. "He's a new student here from America."
"Oh; Alola, Lincoln." said Lillie.
"Alola." replied Lincoln.
"It seems you're starting to adapt to living here already, Lincoln." Professor Kukui said from behind Lincoln. He and Mallow turn to see him with an elderly gentleman with tan skin, long gray hair, wearing a teal shirt, white shirt, and white flip flops.
"So, this is Lincoln Loud?" asked the man.
"Yes, Principal Oak." said Professor Kukui. The man, now known as Principal Oak, walks over to Lincoln.
"So, I hear you're very interested in learning about Pokemon." said Principal Oak.
"Yeah, they seem so amazing!" said Lincoln, making Principal Oak chuckle.
"It's refreshing to meet a student so eager to learn about Pokemon." said Principal Oak. They all talk about Lincoln's school schedule and what days classes are, plus what school supplies he should bring, which Lincoln plans on buying when he gets the chance.
"Hey, Lincoln." said Professor Kukui. "Since tomorrow's the weekend, and I don't really have anything planned then, I can give you some private tutoring on the basics of Pokemon training."
"Really?" replied Lincoln. "That would be great. I don't want to feel like I'm too far behind everyone else."
"Perhaps you should get a Pokemon for yourself as well." suggested Principal Oak.
"Actually, I already got one." said Lincoln.
"Really?" asked Principal Oak. Lincoln takes Litten's pokeball out of his pocket and looks at it.
"How exactly do I let a Pokemon out of a pokeball?" asked Lincoln.
"Simply toss it." replied Professor Kukui. Lincoln does so, releasing Litten.
"Wow! Is that a shiny Litten?" asked Mallow.
"Yeah." replied Lincoln.
"You see, Litten seemed to like Lincoln, so I let Lincoln have him." said Professor Kukui.
"I'm guessing he likes me because we have matching hair color." said Lincoln, making everyone laugh lightly. Mallow runs over to the slide that's connected to the classroom and looks back at Lincoln.
"Race you to the bottom." said Mallow. Lincoln smiles as he quickly runs over to the slide and quickly goes down it on his belly, with Mallow following closely behind him. When they reach the bottom, they wait for Professor Kukui, along with Hau, who was near the bottom of the slide when they got there. Once everyone was together, they walk to the front gate of the school.
"I can't wait to get started!" said Lincoln.
"We'll meet at my lab down on a beach east of here tomorrow and Sunday at nine-o-clock." said Professor Kukui.
"Sounds great, Professor." said Lincoln.
"And I'll be seeing you in school, Monday morning." said Principal Oak.
"Sure thing." said Lincoln. As he, Professor Kukui, and Hau, exit through the front gate, Lincoln sees Mallow waving at him, and blushes a bit.
Later at the beach, near Hau'oli City, Lincoln was lying on his beach towel in his new orange swim trunks and sunglasses, resting his head on his hands.
"Well, everyone; come Monday, I'll be starting at a new school; but first, I'm meeting with Professor Kukui for some tutoring tomorrow." said Lincoln. "But until then, I'm just going to enjoy some fun in the sun." He lets out a relaxed sigh. "The beach is way better when I'm not in a squirrel suit."
