Lincoln on the Farm

Early the next morning, Lincoln was on Route 3, staring down a wild Hawlucha that he wanted to catch for Ronnie Anne; in front of him was his Pikachu, standing ready for battle.

"Okay, Pikachu; use Quick Attack!" said Lincoln. Pikachu moves at the Hawlucha at fast speed, but a glint of light appears in its eyes, and it dodges it; the Hawlucha then turns and strikes Pikachu with an overhand chop to the top of her head, causing some static electricity to come out and coat its body, causing paralysis. "Good thing for that Static ability. Now use Electro Ball!" Pikachu forms a ball of electricity over her tail and launches it at the Hawlucha, hitting it, and doing super effective damage, plus extra thanks to the differences between the two Pokemon's speeds. Lincoln quickly takes out an empty pokeball, and throws it at the Hawlucha, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.

"Yes! I caught Hawlucha!" said Lincoln. He takes out his Rotom Phone and looks up his newest Pokemon's information. "This says that it's a girl, and she has the same moves and ability that Lynn's Hawlucha does." He makes a mental note to send the Hawlucha over to Royal Woods for Ronnie Anne when he gets the chance to later.

As Lincoln's new Hawlucha's pokeball is sent to storage, he hears something flying above him and looks up to see Kiawe flying on a Charizard that had two large milk canisters strapped to the sides of it.

"Alola, Kiawe!" said Lincoln as he waves to him, getting his attention; making him fly down to him.

"Alola, Lincoln." said Kiawe after his Charizard lands on the ground and he climbs off it.

"What are you up to?" asked Lincoln.

"Just doing a Moomoo Milk delivery for my family's farm." said Kiawe.

"Oh." said Lincoln.

"What are you doing out here?" asked Kiawe.

"I just caught a Hawlucha for someone I know back home." said Lincoln.

"I see." said Kiawe. "Anyway, I have a lot of extra work to do. One of our usual farm hands sprained his arm yesterday so we're shorthanded at the ranch right now."

"Maybe I can help." suggested Lincoln.

"You?" replied Kiawe.

"Yeah, I'm not really busy right now, and I wouldn't mind lending a hand." said Lincoln.

"Are you sure you can handle it?" asked Kiawe.

"I help my sisters with stuff all the time that sometimes involve a lot of lifting, such as helping Lori carrying a heavy golf club bag, Lola's overexcessive store purchases at times, Luan's props for her kids' entertainment business, Lynn weights sometimes, etc, plus I've helped my friend, Liam, on his family's farm sometimes." said Lincoln.

"Well, we could use some extra help." said Kiawe. He then pulls out a Ride Pager from his pocket.

"You have a Ride Pager also?" asked Lincoln.

"Yeah." said Kiawe as he types something into it. A chime coming from Lincoln's pocket is heard, making him reach in and pull it out his Ride Pager; he looks at it to see a new Pokemon registered to it.

"What's this?" asked Lincoln.

"I just registered Charizards to your Ride Pager." said Kiawe. "Now you can call for them to fly you to places you've been before."

"Wow!" said Lincoln. "But I haven't been to your family's farm before."

"No problem; I'll just add the location to your Rotom Phone's map." said Kiawe. Lincoln takes it out and brings up the Alola Region's map, then holds it out to Kiawe who marks his family's farm's location onto it.

"Thanks." said Lincoln. He takes out his Ride Pager and uses the new registration he got to call for a Charizard; a minute later, one shows up that had a riding saddle on it.

"Let's get going." said Kiawe. Lincoln nods and climbs onto his Charizard and flies off with Kiawe towards another island. The two soon arrive at a large field with a fence surrounding it; plus, a house, and a large building with a lot of stables in it.

"So, this is your family's ranch?" asked Lincoln.

"Yeah, welcome to the Paniola Ranch." said Kiawe. "We raise all sorts of Pokemon here, but we mainly raise Moomoos for their milk that we sell."

"Welcome back, Kiawe." a woman calls out. Lincoln looks to see a woman with dark skin, black and pink hair, wearing green earrings, a necklace, a rust orange crop top with long, matching skirt, and sandals; standing next to him was a man with dark skin, dark brown hair, wearing glasses, a blue dress shirt, brownish green slacks, and sandals.

"Alola, Mom." said Kiawe. He then turns towards Lincoln. "These are my parents, Lincoln."

"Alola." Lincoln says to them, getting their attention.

"Who's this?" asked the woman.

"This is Lincoln." said Kiawe. "He's the new student at the Pokemon School."

"I see." said the woman. She and the man walk over to Lincoln and looks him over. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Lincoln. My name is Sima, and like my son just told you, I'm his mother; and also, I run the Paniola Ranch."

"And I'm Kiawe's father, Rango." said the man now known as Rango. "I'm in charge of the finances here at the Paniola Ranch; here's our card." He hands Lincoln a business card who awkwardly accepts it.

"So, what brings you here, young man?" asked Siwa.

"Lincoln volunteered to help out here while our other ranch hand is recovering." said Kiawe.

"Well, that was mighty nice of you, Lincoln." said Siwa as she slaps Lincoln's back, knocking him to the ground, making her chuckle bashfully. "Sorry about that."

"Not a problem." said Lincoln as he picks himself up off the ground. As he does, he notices a little girl with dark skin, red and brown hair that had a spiky ponytail, wearing a pink dress with red trim and wavy design on the hem of it, white shorts, reddish-brown sandals, and wearing a necklace; struggling to lift a milk canister.

"Hey, isn't that a little heavy for you?" Lincoln asked the girl, drawing Kiawe's attention to her, making his eyes widen in panic.

"NOOOOOO!" shouts Kiawe as he runs to the girl and does a rolling somersault while grabbing the milk canister.

"Hey, Kiawe!" shouts the little girl. "I wanted to carry that!"

"No, Mimo!" Kiawe to the little girl now known as Mimo. "Lincoln is absolutely right about that being too heavy!"

"But I want to help!" said Mimo.

"Who's this?" asked Lincoln.

"This is my little sister, Mimo." said Kiawe. Mimo looks over at Lincoln.

"Who's he?" asked Mimo.

"This is Lincoln." said Kiawe.

"Why does he have white hair?" asked Mimo.

"I was born with it." said Lincoln.

"Really?" replied Mimo. Just then, Siwa walks over to Lincoln with a bucket of cleaning supplies.

"Ready to get started?" asked Siwa.

"Whenever you want me to." said Lincoln. Kiawe leads Lincoln over to a large field that had a large variety of Pokemon in it. He sees several Tauros, dark brown, donkeylike Pokemon; and pink, cowlike Pokemon. He points his Rotom Phone at the donkey Pokemon.

"Mudbray, the Donkey Pokemon. It loves playing in the mud. If it isn't showered with mud on a daily basis, it gets stressed out and stops listening to its Trainer." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.

"Sounds like Lana would like this Pokemon; it's so much like her." said Lincoln. He then points the Rotom Phone at the cow Pokemon.

"Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokemon. It produces over five gallons of milk a day. The higher the quality of the pastures it lives in, the richer and tastier its milk becomes." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.

Siwa hands the bucket of cleaning supplies to Lincoln and starts him out with cleaning all the Pokemon on the ranch, she also has him help Kiawe in the stables, scooping hay and pouring water into the feeding troughs; he also helped Kiawe with milk deliveries all over the island.

Soon, the afternoon came, and everyone was having lunch outside. Before everyone ate, they gave a prayer to the island's volcano, Wela Volcano.

"So, Lincoln; what brought you to the Alola region?" asked Rango as everyone ate.

"My sister, Luan, mailed me here in a box as a prank." said Lincoln with exasperation, surprising Kiawe's family.

"Why would your sister do that for a prank?!" asked Rango.

"She gets like that every year." said Lincoln.

"You have a sister?" asked Mimo.

"I have ten sisters." said Lincoln, shocking everyone.

"You're joking!" said Siwa.

"It's true." said Kiawe. "I've seen them." Just then, Lincoln's Rotom Phone rang, getting Rango, Siwa, and Mimo's attention.

"What was that?" asked Siwa.

"My Rotom Phone." said Lincoln as he pulls it out of his pocket. "I use it to keep in contact with my family and let them know how I'm doing." He turns on video chat and the screen soon shows his family and friends in the Loud house's living room.

"Hi, Lincoln." said Leni.

"Alola, everyone." said Lincoln.

"What are you up to?" asked Lana.

"I'm at Kiawe's family's ranch." said Lincoln.

"A ranch?" replied Liam with interest. He then points the Rotom Phone towards Kiawe's family and introduces them; Jackie and Mandee blush when they see Kiawe.

"Lincoln's been helping out here for one of our ranch hands who has a sprained ankle." said Rango.

"That's very nice of him to take the time to do that." said Rita.

"Oh, and Ronnie Anne; I caught a Hawlucha earlier this morning for you." said Lincoln.

"That's so cool of you to do that!" said Ronnie Anne with enthusiasm.

"Next time I'm at a Pokemon Center I'll send it to you." said Lincoln.

"Thanks, Linc." said Ronnie Anne.

"What kind of Pokemon are at that ranch?" asked Liam. Lincoln tells him about all the different ones that are found there. After everyone ate, Rango serves up some ice cream for dessert, that Lana Loud and Lola drool at the sight of.

"This ice cream is made from Moomoo milk." said Rango. Lincoln looks at it and takes a bite of some, making his eyes widen with delight.

"This is so delicious!" said Lincoln as he starts to eat at a fast pace, resulting in an ice cream headache.

"Pace yourself, Lincoln." said Siwa with a laugh.

"I want ice cream!" shouts the twins. Lincoln got a thought as he remembers what it was made from.

"So, is there a place I can catch a Moomoo?" asked Lincoln.

"You can't catch ones in the fence; those belong to the ranch." said Kiawe.

"But there are plenty of wild ones outside it in the fields." said Rango.

"Okay, don't catch ones in the fence; got it." said Lincoln. After Lincoln finishes his meal and excuses himself, he gives his family and friends a tour of the ranch with Liam taking much interest in it; he then goes over the fence and starts searching for wild Pokemon. He comes across a small meadow that had a Mudbray eating mud in it.

"EWWW, it's eating mud!" said Lola.

"Kiawe told me that's how they get their energy." said Lincoln.

"Cool!" said Lana Loud. "Catch one for me!"

"Let's see; if I remember right, Mudbrays are ground types, so I should either use Cottonee or Gyarados." said Lincoln. He decides to go with the latter and releases Gyarados from his pokeball, getting the Mudbray's attention. "Okay, Gyarados; use Bite!" Gyarados lunges at the Mudbray and bites down on it, making it flinch. "Now use Tackle!" Gyarados rams the Mudbray with his head, knocking it to the ground. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Mudbray, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.

"Yes! I caught Mudbray!" said Lincoln.

"Nice one, Lincoln." said Lynn Jr. As Mudbray's pokeball goes to storage, he looks up its information.

"This says my new Mudbray's a girl, she knows Mud-Slap, Mud Sport, Rototiller, Bulldoze, and Double Kick; plus, she has the Stamina ability which boosts her defense whenever she's hit with an attack." said Lincoln.

He continues to look around and soon comes across a wild Miltank.

"I think I'll catch this for you, Liam." said Lincoln.

"Go for it, partner." said Liam. He takes out his Torracat's pokeball and lets him out of it. The Miltank notices him and gets ready for battle. "Torracat, use Fire Fang!" Torracat runs at the Miltank with its fangs coated in fire and bites down on it; it responds by running at Torracat and ramming him. "Torracat, use Scratch!" Torracat runs at the Miltank and claws it across the arm; it responds by jumping up, and stomping on Torracat's back, causing him to flinch; it follows up by ramming him again. "This Miltank is tough, but we're not beaten yet; Torracat, use one more Fire Fang!" Torracat bites the Miltank with another fire-coated chomp, doing damage to it.

Lincoln quickly takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Miltank, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.

"Yes! I caught Miltank!" said Lincoln. He looks up his new Miltank's information while its pokeball is sent to storage. "This says my new Miltank is a girl, she knows Tackle, Defense Curl, Growl, Stomp, Milk Drink, and Bide; plus, she has the Scrappy ability which lets her normal type and fighting type moves hit ghost type Pokemon." He gets a notification on his Rotom Phone, making him look at it. "Hey, this says that Torracat just learned Double Kick!"

"Don't forget to send that over to me, Lincoln." said Liam.

"I won't." said Lincoln.

As he looks up at the sky, he sees it was starting to get a little late, so he returns Torracat to his pokeball, and starts to head back to the ranch. On the way back, he hears the sound of whimpering coming from some nearby fallen branches; he decides to check it out and soon sees a small, light brown, doglike Pokemon, with cream-colored fur on its face; under them. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.

"Lillipup, the Puppy Pokemon. This Pokémon has excellent judgment. If it decides it can't defeat an opponent, it immediately turns tail and vamooses." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.

"Do you need help, little guy?" asked Lincoln. The Lillipup looks up at Lincoln with sad eyes and nods. Lincoln then lifts the branches up off of the Pokemon that quickly runs out when its able to.

"That was, totes, nice of you, Linky." said Leni.

Lincoln then hears some growling from nearby and discovers it was coming from the Lillipup's stomach.

"You hungry?" Lincoln asked the Lillipup, getting a nod in response. Lincoln looks into his backpack and pulls out some Pokemon food he keeps in it for if his Pokemon want a snack during training; he places it on the ground in front of Lillipup who sniffs it a couple of times before eating it.

"How do you feel now?" Lincoln asked the Lillipup; it responds by leaping into Lincoln's arms and starts licking his face, making him laugh. "I think this means you're feeling better and you're thanking me." He sets it down onto the ground and starts heading back towards the ranch; as he does, he hears something following him, making him look to see the Lillipup walking towards him.

"What's up?" Lincoln asked the Lillipup. It walks over to Lincoln and nuzzles his leg. "Do you want to come with me?" Lillipup looks up and yips happily, making Lincoln chuckle. He takes out an empty pokeball and tosses it to the Lillipup who leaps at it, hitting it, and making it suck itself in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.

"I caught Lillipup!" said Lincoln. He looks up his new Pokemon's information. "This says my Lillipup's a boy, he knows Leer, Tackle, Odor Sleuth, Bite, Baby-Doll Eyes, Helping Hand, and Take Down; he has the Pickup ability which may let him pick up items after a battle." As Lincoln's new Lillipup's pokeball is sent to storage, he hears the sounds of motors coming from the ranch. He goes over to the fence and sees Team Skull circling Kiawe and Turtonator on their motorcycles.

"What are you all doing here?" asked Kiawe.

"We want some Moomoo Milk." said Zipp.

"You can buy some at a store." said Kiawe.

"Not our style." said Tupp. "We prefer to just take it." Lincoln, hearing this, hops over the fence and runs over to where Team Skull and Kiawe are.

"Hey! Leave the ranch alone!" said Lincoln. All of a sudden, something tackles him to the ground.

"CUTIE!" shouts Rapp as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek, making him blush. "I've missed you so much!"

"Rapp! Could you leave the runt alone and help us out here?!" says Tupp. Sulking, Rapp gets off Lincoln and walks back to her motorcycle while giving Lincoln a wink as she does, making his sisters giggle, and his male friends and Ronnie Anne look with jealousy.

"Now hand over some Moomoo Milk and we'll go; if you don't, there will be trouble." said Zipp. Tupp takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing a Pokemon that looks like a garbage bag that burst open from the bottom, along with two skinny arms made from trash.

"Cool!" said Lana.

"It reminds me of Trashy." said Luan as she cringes at the memories of it attacking her when she takes out trash in Lisa and Lily's room. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.

"Garbador, the Trash Heap Pokemon, and the evolved form of Trubbish. It locks opponents in place with its left hand, immobilizing them by entirely dousing their bodies with poisonous liquid." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.

"I want one!" says Lana Loud.

"Wow." said Lincoln with a smirk. "If I didn't know that was a Pokemon, then I'd say you two were twins, Tupp."

"What?!" replied Tupp.

"What are you talking about Lincoln?" asked Kiawe. "That Garbador looks like a pile of..." Kiawe stops as he looks at Tupp and the Garbador. "Okay, but it smells like...okay, but its breath smells like;...okay, you may have a point there."

"You think you're funny, kid?!" said Tupp. "Let's see you laugh when Garbador is done with you."

"I got this, Lincoln." said Kiawe as he steps forward. He holds out his wrist, revealing a Z-Ring.

"You got a Z-Ring also?" asked Lincoln.

"That's right." said Kiawe. He crosses his arms together, making Z-Energy appear in front of him, then does a pose that makes it flow into his Turtonator, causing the Z-Power symbol to appear in front of it.

"Uh oh!" said Tupp.

"Is he going to use a Z-Move, too?!" asked Zipp.

"THE ZENITH...OF MY MIND...OF BODY...AND SPIRIT...WITH THE GREAT MOUNTAIN OF AKALA...BECOME A RAGING FIRE AND BURN!" says Kiawe as Turtonator starts building up energy. Everyone back at the Loud house watch with awe.

"Whoa." said Lynn Jr.

"Kiawe is so cool!" said Leni. Jackie and Mandee nod in agreement.

"And now...INFERNO OVERDRIVE!" shouts Kiawe, making Turtonator draws in fire and forms it into a large ball of fire; it then launches it at the Garbador and hits it, causing a large fiery explosion; when it cleared, the Garbador was knocked out.

"Awesome." said Lynn Jr in stunned shock.

"That was so cool; so to speak." said Lincoln. Tupp growls as he returns his Garbador to its pokeball.

"Forget it." said Tupp. "I'm not in the mood for your dumb milk, anyway. Let's go everyone!" Before they all ride off, Rapp moves next to Lincoln, lifts him onto the seat of her motorcycle, pulls her mask down, and kisses him on the cheek, making him blush, his sisters laugh, his male friends pout, and Ronnie Anne growl.

"Until next time, cutie." said Rapp before letting Lincoln go and riding off after giving him another wink. Lincoln shakes his head to regain his senses and walks over to Kiawe.

"So, what Z-Crystal did you use?" asked Lincoln.

"It's called Firium-Z." said Kiawe. "If you want one, you'll have to pass the Wela Volcano Island Trial."

"If I'm ever in that area, I'll challenge it." said Lincoln.

"I suggest training it in the meantime." said Kiawe. Lincoln nods in response.

The two then walk back to the ranch. Once they get back, they were greeted by Kiawe's parents.

"What was that noise out in the field?" asked Siwa. Kiawe explained the situation involving Team Skull.

"Those hoodlums are always causing trouble here in Alola." said Rango.

"Good work dealing with them, Kiawe." said Siwa. Lincoln then looks around and sees Momo carrying a large carton of milk.

"Are you okay with that, Mimo?" asked Lincoln, getting Kiawe's attention.

"NOOOOO!" shouts Kiawe as he runs over to Mimo and grabs the milk out of her hands.

"Come on, Kiawe; it wasn't heavy!" shouts Mimo, getting Kiawe's parents and Lincoln to chuckle at their antics.

"Kiawe's always been overprotective of his little sister." said Siwa.

"I can relate to that." said Lincoln. After that, Lincoln says goodbye to Kiawe and his family, then uses his Ride Pager to call for a Charizard and flies to Hau'oli City, while his family and friends back in Royal Woods watch the flight.

"That's so cool!" said Clyde.

"Makes me want to go to Alola to try it myself." said Ronnie Anne.

"Me, too." said Lynn Jr and Lana Loud.

He soon arrives at Hau'oli City and goes to the Pokemon Center to send Lana the Mudbray, Liam the Moomoo, and Ronnie Anne the Hawlucha. Once he was done and ends the call with his family and friends, he returns to Iki Town and tells Kahuna Hala and Hau about his day.

"So, you know where one of the Akala Island trials are now?" asked Kahuna Hala.

"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. "I'll challenge it someday soon after I get more training in."

"I hope you pass, Lincoln." said Hau. Lincoln then brushes his teeth, takes a long shower to get the dirt he accumulated while doing chores at the ranch, then goes to bed to rest up for school the next day.

What else will Lincoln experience in Alola as his adventures continue?
