Everyone looked up at Starfire, floating in the air above them, fists clenched. There was now a gaping hole in the structure, with herself in the center of it. Her fists and eyes glowed with power, and the wind blew her long hair behind her. She turned her head slowly, scanning the scene below her. The pain and anger on her face deepened.

"It's the alien." Silver Ravager said, looking up.

"No shit." Bronze Ravager said.

"Its okay, we'll get all the birds with one stone." Silver said.

"Most of them, at least…" Bronze replied. As she said this, Starfire had changed positions in the air. The Ravagers braced themselves as Starfire flew at them head on, fists stretched forward.

"You'll pay!" Starfire said. Her voice was not quite a scream, but loud by her standards. As she flew at them, she fired bolts from her hands. One of the bolts knocked the gun out of Silver Ravager's hand, but the rest missed as the two of them jumped out of the way. Starfire flew by, speeding close to the floor. Bronze Ravager stabbed at her with a sword, but missed. Starfire stopped in midair on the other side, and turned. By the time she turned, Silver Ravager had already thrown an explosive at her. Starfire used her eye beams to blow it up. It was still close enough to Silver that the blast partially caught him, knocking hm to the ground.

Starfire flew above him, as he held his face. The other Ravager wasn't in sight. Starfire paid attention to her peripheries as she gazed down at the downed enemy. He looked up at her, and she raised a fist, ready to attack. But out of the corner of her eye, she saw something coming at her. Starfire used her inhuman speed and reflexes to arch backwards, a long blade passing through where Starfire had been just half a second before. Bronze Ravager was looking in the direction of the sword strike, but shifted her eye to face Starfire. For just a split second, they locked eyes in midair. Starfire completed her arch, rolling backwards in the air, while Ravager rolled forwards and landed on her feet. As Starfire righted herself in the air, a blast came from the ground. Silver had gotten his gun. Starfire didn't have time to dodge the blast, but put up an arm to shield herself. It hit her arm, damaging her, but not as much as it would a human. In that moment, Starfire was distracted.

She felt something hit her back. No, not hit. Someone had jumped onto her back and grabbed onto her. It was the other Ravager again. Immediately, the Ravager brought up a knife and then brought it down. Starfire caught her wrist in time. Starfire gripped her wrist as Ravager held onto her. The girl called Ravager was stronger than she appeared. Very strong in fact, for a human. But Starfire's Tamaranian strength still surpassed her. Starfire did not enjoy causing other people serious injuries. But in this case, she felt it was warranted. She clenched her fist, crushing the girl's wrist. Ravager grimaced and dropped the knife, but otherwise still held tight. Starfire began to use force to pry the girl off of her, but got blasted with a laser gun from the other Ravager below. The blast caught Starfire in the midsection. Bronze Ravager wrapped her arm around Starfire's neck.

"Better not hit me!" Bronze said.

"Sorry, sis." Silver said, his tone more playful than contrite. While they spoke, Starfire doubled over and began to fall to the floor. But before she hit, she reached out her fist to smash through the floor, and go down to the next floor below. Starfire stopped herself before hitting the ground, hovering. She was still being choked. She quickly flew back up to a different part of the ceiling, angling her ascent so that Bronze Ravager would smash into the ceiling. Which she did. Starfire came back up onto the floor where her friends were lying, the rubble flying about. Bronze's grip loosened. Starfire reached behind her, and grabbed the girl. Starfire then threw her several yards into a wall, and the girl crumpled onto the floor. She glanced at the downed girl for a second, and then looked around. She saw Silver Ravager, crouching next to Beast Boy. He had a knife to Beast Boy's throat.

"That's enough." Silver Ravager said, any sense of playfulness gone. "Surrender now or I shove this blade in his throat."

Starfire's face twisted. She felt righteous anger, but knew that it would not be wise to unleash it at that moment. "You are a coward." She said. "You know you cannot win, so you threaten my friend."

Silver pressed the blade to Beast Boy's throat, drawing blood. Starfire narrowed her eyes, but slowly raised her hands. "For the record…" Silver Ravager said. "We could take you in a fight, but its quicker and easier this way."

Starfire heard movement behind her. She shifted her head to see the other Ravager, already standing again, albeit in rougher shape than before. Her clothes were dirty and slightly torn, and her wrist was broken. She still looked ready to attack again though.

"Lay down on the floor." Silver said. Starfire knelt down. "Gah!" the sound came from Silver. Starfire looked and saw that his hand had been struck by something sharp, knocking the knife away. Silver Ravager turned and started to stand, only to be hit with a flying kick, and knocked back. He staggered, and looked back in anger. At first, Starfire did not recognize the man in the dark costume. But he noticed her, and looked over.

"Starfire…" he said. She knew his voice instantly. For a moment, her anger was replaced with a different feeling.

"Robin?"

Shortly before, a magical void appeared on the streets below. It appeared for just a few seconds, a black nothingness, something out of place in the world. And then it disappeared, leaving behind Raven and Nightwing. Raven stood for a second, and then stumbled, feeling weak. Nightwing rose from his bike to catch her. He held her for a second. As they stood there, they looked around at their surroundings.

"We're here." Raven said. Her voice was low and husky.

"Yeah. But where are they?" Nightwing asked. He looked up at the building. At first, he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. But then he spotted some explosions coming from one of the sides. He thought he saw someone fly into the structure. It was just for a split second, but he thought the figure looked familiar. Could it be…? He thought. He turned to Raven. She was standing on her own now, but didn't look well.

"Are you okay?" Nightwing said. Raven nodded.

"I'm fine. I mean, I will be. I just need a minute."

"You look like you need more than a minute." He said. "I'm going up. You stay here and recover."

"But…" she said. Then she nodded. "Okay. But call if you really need me. I can probably cast a spell or two."

"Hopefully you won't need to." He said, as he aimed his grappling hook towards the building. He then propelled himself upward, towards the fight. Raven watched him ascend. She leaned back against a wall and said, "Good luck."

For a brief moment that seemed much longer, Nightwing and Starfire looked across at each other. Just for a moment. "Robin." She said.

"Later." He said. He then flipped backwards as several blasts were fired at him. Starfire turned and saw Silver Ravager firing from a distance. She also barely had time to catch Bronze Ravager running right at her with a long knife. Starfire used her enhanced speed and reflexes to catch the girl's arm, spin around, and toss her into a beam. As before, the girl was not knocked out. In fact, she was already starting to stand. Nightwing threw more birdarangs at Silver, but he caught them in his body armor. The weapons stuck into his suit, and he pulled out a second gun. He fired both guns, forcing Nightwing to hide. One of the weapons fired semi-automatically. Starfire lifted into the air and charged at him. He quickly snapped the guns towards her, and she realized he would shoot her first, and she didn't have time to dodge. But Silver Ravager was blasted with a huge beam. He dropped his weapon and staggered to the ground. Starfire turned.

"Booyah." Cyborg said. He was still laying on the ground, but had his arm raised. He kept his cannon aimed at Silver. "Star, look out!" he said. Starfire turned, but this time a little late. She turned in time to see a sword being brought down on her. But then it stopped. Bronze Ravager stood before Starfire, grimacing, as she held the sword above her. Her arm twitched, but something held it back. It was a black rope, and on the other end of that rope was Nightwing. Starfire wasted no time and punched Ravager in the face, knocking her several yards away, next to her partner. Silver started to get to his feet, while the other lay on the floor panting. Silver looked down at one of his guns, a few feet away.

"Don't try it." Nightwing said, holding the sword. Starfire's eyes glowed, and Cyborg kept his cannon aimed. Silver Ravager grinned. He opened his hands, and started to spread them. He then put a hand to his head. He loudly said, "Plan B, go."

"What are you doing?" Nightwing said. Starfire tensed.

"You get to live today." Silver Ravager said. His expression, what could be seen under the mask, was somewhere between amusement and disgust. "You got lucky."

"You're not going to-" Nightwing said, but was cut off by a loud rumbling. The earth began to shake. A few seconds later, something erupted nearby. On the street nearby the building they were in, something tore its way out of the ground. Something very big, and metal. It rose up, tearing through the concrete with little effort, and towered over all but the tallest building around. It was another robot. This one looked like a giant snake, or a worm. It was long and tall, and planted in the street. It was about the same size as the building they were in. The Titans watched as the metal monster deployed large cannons from its sides. There was a thunderous boom as explosive blasts erupted from the cannons, quickly turning the surrounding area into a warzone. Nearby buildings and cars were blown apart, or had huge holes blown into them. Each shot was like a cannonball blast. The street was also torn up from the lower cannons.

Nightwing turned back to the Ravagers, to find the girl was standing, albeit shaky. The male Ravager was standing next to Red Arrow, and held the syringe. Without saying a word, he jabbed Arrow with the needle.

"No!" Nightwing said.

"You can come after us, or you can save the city, and your friends." Silver said. "Arrow here will die in twenty, thirty minutes without medical help." He turned and helped his still shaky partner to leave with him.

"We cannot just-" Starfire said. A blast from the mech monster loudly interrupted her, tearing up concrete. Screams could be heard nearby.

"We don't have a choice." Nightwing said.

"Do we fight the beast or help our friends?" she asked him. Beast Boy was in a pool of blood, and Bumblebee was turning pale. They had both lost a lot of blood.

"We'll do both." Nightwing said. He pulled out his communicator. "Raven, this is Nightwing." Starfire's eyes widened at hearing Raven's name, but she kept silent as Nightwing spoke. "If you have any power left, even a little, we need you up here now."

"I figured you would." She said. The destruction raged on close by.

"Not the robot." He said. "Starfire and I will handle that. You need to get up here and heal our friends. It's really bad." There was a brief pause. And then she confirmed that she was on her way up. Nightwing turned to Starfire.

"Let's go."

Nightwing ended his transmission. Raven held the communicator as it went silent. She looked up at the unfinished (and probably soon to be demolished) building. She saw Nightwing propel himself towards the giant robot with his grappling hook. And then a second later, she saw Starfire fly upwards as well.

"Starfire." Raven said to herself. She's really here. She then refocused on the task at hand. This wasn't the time to think about that. Priorities. Raven didn't have a lot of power at the moment, but she would do what she could. She flew up towards the floor she saw Nightwing on. Once up there, she landed on the floor and looked around. Carnage everywhere. The unfinished building was a wreck from the fighting. But most of all, her friends were hurt and bleeding, scattered about the place. Some of them looked near death. She walked forward, and turned her head between everyone, trying to decide who needed the most help.

"Raven!" she heard Cyborg say. She turned, and saw him sitting up, supporting himself with his one attached hand. "Good to see you." He said. She started to run over towards him. He held up a hand.

"I'll be fine." He said. "They need help."

"Who needs healing the most?" she said.

"Red Arrow was injected with something. They said he has maybe thirty minutes. But I don't think you can help him, unless you can teleport him to a hospital."

"I already teleported myself and Nightwing here. It took a lot out of me, and I don't think I have enough power for another trip." She looked over at Red Arrow as he shuddered.

"In that case, Bumblebee had her arm cut off, and Beast Boy was stabbed in the gut. They're both bleeding badly. They might not have much time."

Raven looked back and forth between them, feeling a knot in her stomach, although she tried not to show it on her face. "You can tie a tourniquet for Bumblebee, and then heal Beast Boy." Cyborg said. Raven nodded, and went over to Bumblebee, while Cyborg crawled closer to Beast Boy. Cyborg's suggestion made sense of course. Its not like a tourniquet will help Beast Boy.

She knelt down by Bumblebee. Bumblebee's eyes were wide, and she stared at the ceiling. She was still breathing, but was pale and sweating. "Bumblebee, its Raven, can you hear me?" Bee didn't exactly answer, but did turn her head slightly and glanced at Raven.

"I'll help you." Raven said. "I'm going to tie your arm to stop the bleeding." Raven reached for the lower part of her cloak and began ripping off a strip.

"My arm…" Bumblebee said. She tilted her head to look down at it. Her eyes started to water. Raven tried to block the sight of it with her cloak. Raven didn't know where Bumblebee's arm was, but the first priority was making sure she doesn't bleed to death.

"Try not to think about it." Raven said. She felt she should say something comforting, but she was never good at that. Besides, the arm, the part that was still attached, looked pretty bad, and she didn't want to say anything that might turn out to be a lie. While Raven tied the tourniquet, the destruction and fighting still raged around them. Bumblebee turned her head to watch the fight, as much as she could at least. At least that gives her something else to focus on, Raven thought.

Once finished with the tourniquet, Raven promised to be back, and then went off to help Beast Boy. She saw Cyborg next to Beast Boy, saying something. Although, it wasn't clear if Beast Boy heard him. As Raven ran over, she wondered if Nightwing and Starfire were okay fighting that thing alone. Either way, Raven's focus had to be on helping the wounded right now. Being a hero isn't always about beating up bad guys.

Nightwing swung through the air using his grappling line. He swung around the giant mech monster, seeing Starfire flying by and shooting beams at the machine. It didn't seem to notice it was being attacked. Nightwing landed on one of the outstretched cannons. It was firing at nearby buildings, smashing holes in the surrounding environment. Nightwing took out some explosives he had brought along, and placed them onto the cannon. He then swung away, and seconds later they exploded. The cannon blew off, falling down to the street below.

Nightwing landed on another cannon, and watched as Starfire flew at the mech monster. She rammed her fists straight into it. She didn't go straight through, but still pounded a sizeable hole into it. She then fired blasts into its insides. Nightwing set a few more bombs. He was already running out of bombs, but he might be able to knock the cannons off with sheer force if he got the right angle. In the meantime, he repeated his earlier stunt, and another cannon fell. Half of them were gone now. Nightwing swung towards where Starfire was, and hung off the side of the thing. He called to her.

"We're taking it down, piece by piece." He said. She looked over at him.

"Yes, although it doesn't seem to notice us, despite us destroying it." She said. She continued punching the thing as she spoke, with mechanical parts flying off.

"It seems like it was only programmed to attack, not defend." Nightwing said. "It might not even be autonomous. Might just be blasting randomly. Probably just here to distract us, so they could get away."

"Then it has done its job." She said. "Which is very frustrating." She punched the thing harder, and another hole was created. The metal beast lurched a little. Even after all this time, Nightwing was still in awe of her strength. But again, he knew this wasn't the time to think about that. Focus on the task at hand.

"We've been dealing with those two for a few weeks now. Just trying to find them has been frustrating." He said.

"I do not doubt it." She said. Nightwing swung at another cannon, and kicked it with his outstretched legs. He didn't knock it all the way off, but at least knocked it loose. The cannon was loose enough that when the next blast fired, it couldn't clear the cannon properly, and exploded within. A large chunk was blown into the main body, and it once again shuddered. It began to tilt. It was lurching towards the building the others were in.

"Raven, we need to get everyone out of there." He said into his comm, trying not to yell. The building was toppling slowly, but would come down in a minute, or less.

"I will help the others." Starfire said. He followed her down. When they got there, Raven was standing with Bumblebee, who was barely conscious. Cyborg waved next to Beast Boy. Starfire and Nightwing landed next to each other.

"I don't suppose you could stop it?" Nightwing said. They looked back up to it. It was not only falling, but coming apart. Starfire might be able to catch part of it, but some would still fall.

"Let us get our friends out first, to be safe." She said. Starfire grabbed Beast Boy and Cyborg, while Nightwing grabbed Red Arrow. Raven used her magic to float Bumblebee down. After everyone was out, Starfire flew back up. She caught the top part just before it fell. But the lower half broke off and came down into the building anyway. The resulting destruction was not as bad as it might have been if Starfire hadn't intervened, but was still bad. A large chunk of the building was crushed, and much of the partly constructed structure began to topple. Starfire slowly brought the metallic remains down to the ground, pieces falling off as she did so. She had exerted some effort, but just looked a little winded. She watched as the building collapsed, dust coming up from the ruins.

Now on the ground again, the Titans reunited. They stood in a loose circle. The ones who could stand, anyway. "Where the hell were the cops during all this?" Nightwing said.

"Is not like they would have helped the situation." Cyborg said.

"Should we get them to a hospital?" Raven said, glancing at the others.

Nightwing paused. He looked down at his injured friends. And Red Arrow, who's time was short, if the "Ravagers" were telling the truth. He sighed. "Its risky. If we leave someone in the hospital, they're at risk. They could be killed. But… Red Arrow needs a doctor to help him. The others, I think can be taken care of back at the tower.

"I know, but… Bumblebee's arm." Raven said. "And Beast Boy…"

"I didn't see where her arm went." Cyborg said. "Did anyone?" No one answered.

"Are we just going to leave?" Raven said.

"We don't have a choice, we have to get everyone back to the tower." Nightwing said. "Except Red Arrow. The priority is saving everyone's life."

"I can take him." Starfire said. "I can fly him to a hospital. It should only take a few minutes."

"As for everyone else, my car is nearby, but someone else will have to drive." Cyborg said. In the distance, police sirens could be heard.

"Oh, now they show up." Cyborg said.

"Time to go." Nightwing said. By the time the police arrived on the scene, the Titans were already gone.

Soon, everyone was back at Titan Tower, save for Starfire. She was spending the night at the hospital to watch over Red Arrow, who was now in stable condition thanks to medical intervention. Starfire's reunion with her friends would have to wait at least another day.

The others were not all in one piece, but were at least safe. Bumblebee and Beast Boy were both taken to the infirmary. No one there was a doctor, but between them they at least had some basic medical knowledge. As for Bumblebee, they had managed to stop the bleeding. Before she passed out, they got her to tell them what her blood type was. Of course, they didn't have any fresh blood at the tower. Nightwing said he would take care of that. He went off on his own for a brief time. Before long, he came back to the tower with a bag of blood. When asked how he got it, he simply said, "Don't ask". He had wanted to stop back at the site of the attack to look for her arm, but there were cops everywhere.

Cyborg's body was damaged, but that could be repaired. He was still conscious and had use of at least one arm to help. He helped tend to Bumblebee, and then looked after Beast Boy. The others took turns checking on both patients. Nightwing's hand needed to be patched up. Aside from that, he and Raven only had minor injuries. But by the time everything was settled, everyone was tired. Too tired to talk, or much of anything else.

Most of them fell asleep quickly. But Nightwing, alone in his room, stayed up for hours, staring at the ceiling, thinking about everything that had transpired. And trying to figure out what would happen next. But eventually, even he became too tired to think, and closed his eyes.
