Sabrina McMahon
Sabrina was wrapping her mom's birthday gift when she started feeling terrible contractions.
"Alex!" she screams out, and he rushes down the hallway to the living room inside.
"What is it, baby?" he asked, rushing over to her.
'I think it's time for me to go to the hospital," she replied.
"Are you sure, baby?"
"Yes, I am sure I am in labor."
"Okay, let's get you to the hospital," he said, helping her off the sofa, and then they walked out of the living room and out of the house.
They got in his car and drove down the circular driveway toward the gates that opened as the car approached them and then sped off toward the hospital.
"I'm just kind of anxious to meet our son and daughter," Alex said.
"I too, honey."
He smiled at her, and he saw her out of her the corner of his eye and leaned forward slightly.
"Contraction, baby?"
Sabrina shook her head "a big one," she said through breathing.
Alex took her hand and held it, "We're almost there at the hospital."
Another contraction hit before Alex got them to the hospital. Alex pulled up to the hospital, parked the car, and quickly exited the car, rushed to the passenger side, opened the door, and then helped Sabrina out. He rushes her inside the hospital; a nurse notices them and rushes to help.
"My wife could be in labor," Alex said as the nurse moved quickly, and Sabrina was in a wheelchair pushed toward the elevator as another contraction hit.
They took the elevator up to the maternity ward, then out into a private hospital room, where the nurse helped Sabrina out of the wheelchair, and then changed into the hospital gown, as another nurse called Dr. Amber Cruz to tell her that her patient Sabrina Morgan was brought in. Sabrina was helped into the hospital bed, and then a few minutes later, Dr. Amber Cruz walked into the hospital room.
"Hi, Sabrina, and Alex," she said with a smile.
"Hi, Dr. Cruz," they said.
"Sabrina, you feel like you are in labor?" Dr. Cruz asked
"Yes, I've been having contractions for about an hour, and they've been increasing in frequency," Sabrina answered
"Okay. Let me check you out," Dr. Cruz said.
Alex looked at Sabrina "you doing, okay."
"Yeah."
Well, Sabrina, you are indeed in labor. And everything is looking good so far. Things are progressing well."
"That's good to hear," Alex said.
Sabrina nodded in agreement, and was hit with another contraction; for the most part, Sabrina went through them without making much noise, and Alex smiled at her strength. He heard from his dad that his mom, screamed, and cursed him out with each birth, but so far that had been the opposite of what was happening with his wife Sabrina, but he prepared himself for when she did give birth that, probably when the screaming and cursing begin. Sabrina was calm and strong; it made him love her even more than he already did.
"Well, it's not quite time yet, so I'll be back around, okay," Dr. Cruz said
"Alright," Sabrina said.
"But what if something happens?" Alex asked
"Nurses will be in here regularly, Mr. Morgan, and you can always use the call button."
"Okay."
Dr. Cruz left, and Alex looked at Sabrina. "How are you?"
"I am okay. I am a little nervous, though. I wonder if our moms felt the same as I do right now."
"I am sure they felt a little nervous while laboring with twins, but there had our fathers, and I am right here with you."
Alex called both families, and everyone rushed to the hospital to wait for the arrival of the Morgan twins. Eventually, Sabrina's water broke whiles her mother, Linda, was in the room with her and alerted the nurse. Dr. Cruz came in and checked Sabrina; she had dilated a few centimeters.
"Not yet; your twins are showing their McMahon stubbornness," Dr. Cruz said...
Linda and Sabrina chuckled. "Their inheritance from my husband Vince; he is stubborn."
D. Cruz chuckled and walked out of the hospital room.
Family members would go in, and out of Sabrina's hospital room, keeping her company while she went through labor. Hours later, it was now Tuesday, Oct. 4, Linda's birthday. By 5 pm, it was time to push, and Sabrina looked at Alex, and he nodded and smiled back at her. Alex helped Sabrina up and began pushing.
"You're doing great, Sabrina," Dr. Cruz said. "You keep pushing just like that."
"See, I told you you'd do great," Alex said.
With a few more strong pushes, doctor Cruz sees the top of one of the twin heads.
"Okay, Sabrina, two more big pushes, and, the first babies will be here," Dr. Cruz instructed her.
Sabrina did one push, then another push, and out popped one of the twin heads, and then the baby slid out, the first cry of one of their babies.
"I've got a little boy," Dr. Cruz said, holding him up. "And he appears quite well, a good size for a twin. Your daughter isn't ready to be born."
"Figure she got it from her godmother Stephanie, who took at least forty-five minutes to be born, twenty–nine years ago." Sabrina collapsed back on the bed. Alex, Dr. Cruz, and the nurses chuckled.
"You know, for someone who was born four years after your brother, and sister, you know a lot about their birth."
"I heard stories about my mother giving birth to them."
"what is taking so long," Stephanie said outside the delivery room, anxious to meet your nephew and niece.
Linda shook her head, and said, "Stephanie." Stephanie turned to her mother.
"Be patience; your sister is giving birth to twins."
"How can you be so calm, mom?" Stephanie asked
"I've been through this when I gave birth to you, and your brother. So I know exactly what is going on in the delivery room."
"Me too; I know what exactly is going on," Samantha said.
Back inside the delivery room, twenty-five minutes later, the baby girl decided it was time to be born and met her parents, and the families that were outside of the delivery room waiting.
"Okay, Sabrina, you need to push a little bit more to get your daughter here," Dr. Cruz instructed.
Alex helped Sabrina up again, and then she began pushing a few more times before Dr. Cruz could see the baby girl's head. Finally, after pushing four more times, Dr. Cruz saw the head of the baby girl.
"You're doing great, Sabrina," Dr. Cruz said, as the baby girl slid out, and then they heard their daughter crying.
"Your daughter is looking well, too. She is also a good size for a twin," Dr. Cruz said, holding up the baby girl. Another nurse took the baby girl was taken to be cleaned off and checked out.
Alex kissed Sabrina "you did it, baby; you brought our children into the world, like a champion. Finally, our son and daughter are here. Our little Alex Jr. and Lila."
"Thank goodness, they here," she said with a smile.
A second later, Dr. Cruz and a nurse came with the Morgan twins.
"Your son and daughter's health. Your son weighs 6lbs. and 8 oz. while your daughter weighs in at 6lbs. and 9oz.," Dr. Cruz said, placing the baby girl in her mother's arms, while the nurse placed the baby boy in his father's arms.
Sabrina looked at her daughter with tears of joy in her eyes as she kissed her. "Well, hello, there, Lila Alexandria. I'm so glad that you are here and heath. Your daddy and I have been waiting so long for you and your brother."
Alex also marveled at his son; he had tears in his eyes as he held his son Little Alex "Hello, little man. I am excited to meet you and your sister Lila finally."
Sabrina and Alex spent time marveling and talking to their son, and daughter. Then, a nurse came in after a little while and told Sabrina it was time to feed the babies.
"You are going to breastfeed?" Nurse asked
"Yes," Sabrina replied
The nurse helped Sabrina start with Lila, and soon she was feeding her. The nurse left to give them privacy, and Alex sat on the bed next to Sabrina. He looked at his wife, feeding their daughter, and it was one of the most beautiful sights he'd ever seen. He leaned in, and put his arm around her. She leaned in into his touch. Her little mouth fell away from her mommy's breast when Lila was done. Sabrina took Little Alex from his father and began feeding him too. Alex took Lila from Sabrina.
"I will be right back," Alex said, walking out of the delivery room, and that was when his mother spotted him.
Samantha walked over to him "hi, sweetheart."
Alex smiled at his mother, "hey, mom. Come meet your granddaughter Lila Alexandria Morgan." Samantha looked at her granddaughter.
"Oh, sweetheart, Lila is gorgeous," she said shish tone.
"Yes, she is, mom. Just like her mother, grandmothers, and aunts."
"And her brother?"
"Little Alex is busy eating, right now," Alex said, with a smile.
Samantha smiled, "everyone is in the waiting room," she said, as they entered the waiting room.
Everyone looks up to see Alex, there holding one of the twins. They rush over to him, "Everyone, I would like you to meet Lila Alexandria Morgan."
Everyone gushed over Little Lila, sleeping in her dad's arms.
"How Sabrina Alex?" Linda asked
"Sabrina is okay, mom. She is currently feeding little Alex right now."
Linda smiled. "Who was born first?"
Little Alex was born first, and little Miss Lila was born twenty-five minutes later."
A nurse came over and said, "Mr. Morgan, I need your daughter to the nursery."
"Okay," Alex said, handing over his daughter to the nurse.
"We also move your wife back to the private hospital room, the nurse said with a smile.
"Thank you," he said
"You're welcome, Mr. Morgan," the nurse said, walking away with Lila Morgan.
Everyone walked off toward Sabrina Morgan's hospital room and went inside to see her in the hospital bed, smiling. They congratulate her. A few minutes later, two nurses rolled the bassinettes into the hospital room Nurse picked up little Alex, walked over to the hospital bed, and gently placed him in his mother's arms.
Sabrina smiled, "Everyone, I would like you to meet Little Alexander Joshua Morgan Jr."
Everyone who was in the hospital room got their chance to hold twins.
