Hey guys! So I decided that after the next chapter, I am going to do an epilogue to end the arc before the hiatus. The epilogue will not be as long as usual chapter but it will end the arc and set up the next.
So two chapters left after this one before we start the hiatus.

Grimm King Eclipse
Dr. Merlot was depressingly typing his computer. He sighed as he looked at a picture on his desk.
It was a woman with green hair and eyes. Holding a baby with eyes just as green as hers.
He put a hand on the baby's picture with a saddened expression.
He wanted so badly to search for him, to make sure he was alright. Resurrecting him was his life's work, it was only until he met Salem that he reached this goal.
He remembered how all this started.
How he came to realize the value of Grimm.
25 Years Ago
In a building with an 'M' in a hexagon, with lines and circles in the top and opposite corners, a scientist with black hair was hard at work.
On a monitor were several symbols a long with a picture of a beowolf, and what little they know of what can be known for their DNA.
Dr. Merlot massaged his temples.
"Working late again Victor?"
The scientist turned around to see a woman with long green hair as well as green eyes to match with a slim figure but also a belly indicating pregnancy.
"Luna" The scientist stood up. "You should be in bed."
"I will, but you need to sleep as well, you haven't been in bed for three nights." She said to him holding her belly. "Please come to bed, I'm sure our little one is worried to."
Dr. Merlot groaned as he looked at the screen.
"I'm sorry, I just can't seem to figure this out." He sighed. "No matter the equation I cannot create the chemical, one that is harmless to humans but deadly to Grimm."
This was a different time, where the doctor was a different man.
"I know you can do it, remember sometimes it takes one thousand failures to achieve success, and I know you will in time." She encouraged and placed a hand on her belly. "And our little one will grow up to be just as tenacious as his father."
Dr. Merlot smiled as he put his hand on her belly.
"Yes, and they will be as kindhearted as you." He said to her.
The two embraced looking forward to the birth of their child.
Months Later
The child was born, but during the procedure, the happy couple were greeted with the most horrid news.
"How could this happen?" Dr. Merlot asked. "How could I have missed this!" He shouted looking at some papers. "I, Luna, I'm so sorry! I should have seen this!"
On the paper described a disease called Dust Decay. It forces the organic Dust flowing through the victim's veins to break down further and decay the surrounding blood cells.
This disease is extremely rare, is untraceable, and inactive until the victim experiences stressful times.
Like pregnancy.
It only became apparent seconds after their son was born.
And worse still it was genetic.
Luna put a hand on her husband's arm who looked saddened by the news. "Victor." She said to him. "The fault is mine, maybe I could have prevented this, I'm sorry."
Victor Merlot shook his head. "No, no, I- I will save you, I promise, both of you!"
Luna had a smile on her face and looked at her side at their newborn son.
The baby had green hair and had his eyes closed. He did not let out a cry an infant usually would at birth. He was too weak to.
The crib he was put in had a warm blanket as well as an oxygen mask over his mouth.
Luna put a hand on her baby's and smiled. "I know you can do it Victor, you'll save us, and our bundle of joy."
The baby moved slightly in response to his mother's hand.
"Our little Eclipse."
But it was not meant to be. Luna would day a month later, and Eclipse would follow at only three months later.
All because of a disease.
All because nature made mankind so frail, so vulnerable.
What of Grimm? They were thought to be the blight of the world. Yet they do not suffer disease, fatigue, hunger, aging nothing. Only to die by huntsman.
They had no soul no Dust. Yet nature made them infallible. Always to exist.
He spent a large amount of his life trying to remove Grimm from the world, to create a chemical that would exterminate all Grimm.
But what if they had no true weakness other than Aura? What if they can be studied, what if he can harness their gifts and grant it to humanity.
A new race could be created, one with human intelligence, but the invincibility of Grimm.
No, Grimm were never a problem for mankind.
They were the solution.
The solution to all of mankind's woes.
Yes, they are immune to nature's cruelty, they are the next step in human evolution!
His mission was to never wipe out the Grimm, his mission was to redeem the Grimm. Finish what nature left unfinished.
When evolution fails, science will prevail.
He will restore what nature warped.
His goal was to rebirth Eclipse mixing his remains with the ooze of Grimm to create the first of his kind. To bring his son back and the first step in mankind's invincibility.
But after all that effort was, he going to lose him a second time?
He remembered what Salem had said.
"Your son is now Grimm and as Grimm he must go through bloody evolution in order to move forward. If you want your son to grow as strong as possible, then you must allow him to grow on his own, have faith in your genius, have faith in your son's will to survive."
She talked about it as though it were a culture. As much as he hated to admit, she was right. Eclipse is the first of the new species, of the next evolution of mankind. If he is to lead the evolved Grimm, he must prove that he is the strongest of all.
Dr. Merlot looked longingly at the photo of the family he had for brief moments before nature took them from him.
He put his hands together.
"Luna, please grant our son strength!"
Kron stared at the creature in front of him, clearly it was some kind of Grimm.
Though it was strange looking, it didn't look like any Grimm he's ever seen. It's eyes were green instead of red, humanoid with nevermore wings and a trident shaped mask. And weirdly it had a green glow in it's eyes instead of red.
It reminded him of that gigantic Manticore with green eyes that tried to kill him not long before his last fight against Raven.
It must have come from the same place as that Manticore, that's interesting.
Though he never even heard of whatever this thing was, clearly it's rare whatever it is.
Eclipse stared at the Scourge of Anima, he thought he'd be bigger with everything his father talked about him.
Black spikey hair, black eyes and brown tail. Without that mask he looked boring.
But then he remembered his father saying he was stronger than a Maiden. He smiled ready to play with his newest toy.
"Ladies and gentlemen! The great battle between the Scourge of Anima and Raven Branwen has ended! But what's this?! Who or what has entered the Arena? Is he a surprise newcomer? Are we having another fight on our hands?!"
Kron chuckled as he glanced around seeing the crowd excited, he gets to show off his strength even more and a new fight. Maybe tonight wasn't so bad after all.
Eclipse tilted his head wondering why he was so happy looking at the crowd. He looked all around to see the crowd, they looked weak and boring. Why is he happy looking at them?
Kron stopped and focused his attention on Eclipse and noticed something peculiar. This Grimm wasn't randomly attacking everyone, which means whatever Grimm this was intelligent, maybe an Alpha?
Whatever the case there was only one way to find out.
"So, you ready freak?" He asked taking his fighting stance.
Eclipse was surprised to see no weapon and with Glee took his own fighting stance, his legs slightly squatted, his left fist forward and his right hand in a clawed position aimed upward.
He squealed slightly excited to test his new strength.
Taiyang had stood up while gripping his head. He had a brief explanation at what happened and looked at Raven who was unconscious, he grimaced at the sight and looked at the ring.
In the ring was a familiar looking monster with what he thought until recently was another monster.
Yang looked at Kron who was facing the monster and looked at her father.
"What is that thing?"
Taiyang sighed. "Something that fought me, Qrow, and your mother all at once." He explained and was satisfied to see the look of horror on her face. "Your strong Yang, but you are not ready to face that thing."
Yang looked at the arena, she wanted to help but knew that she'd only get in the way as much as she hated to admit it.
"I figured, but this Kron we're talking about, I know he's gonna kill whatevert his thing is."
Blake wanted to believe that, but she couldn't stop staring at him covered in all those cuts, bruises, burns and blood.
But she knows that she doesn't have the power to make a difference and Kron wouldn't want them to enter the fight, they only will if he needs it.
And he doesn't.
Right?
Kron and Eclipse stared at each other for a few moments.
The Saiyan was surprised to see this Grimm having a fighting stance. It had to be an Alpha, whatever it is.
The Grimm looked at his fighting stance, it was different than the yellow man. He wondered if he could learn anything from it to.
The two darted at each other in a sprint.
They met in the middle of the arena and clashed their forearms together.
Both hit each other with all their might.
Kron was surprised the creature wasn't pushed back.
Eclipse thought the Scourge would be sent flying back.
The two pulled back their arms.
The Saiyan threw a fist for his gut.
Eclipse rose his arms to block the blow with his elbows.
Kron then threw a straight punch from his left.
And Eclipse rose an arm to catch the fist.
The Saiyan's eyes widened, he hit with full force.
Eclipse threw another punch with his free arm.
And Kron caught it with his right hand not wanting to fail at landing the first blow.
The Grimm was surprised that he caught the punch.
Both looked into each other's eyes and glared.
Then they both smiled.
Thinking the same thing the two reared back their heads and slammed into each other's foreheads.
The two were forced to let go and were launched on opposite sides of the ring.
Once they stopped both fighters got up and were shocked at the sight.
Both had struck as hard as they could and can see the other get up.
The two had smiled.
Kron ran towards the monster, flipped in mid-air and axe kicked on top of Eclipse's head.
The kick landed forcing the Grimm's head down.
Kron landed in front of him, threw an uppercut forcing his head up, he then with a spear hand attacked his throat forcing his head forward, then he threw a straight punch to his face.
This sent him falling and landing on his back.
Once the Grimm was on the ground the Saiyan jumped to slam a knee for his gut.
Eclipse rolled back as Kron kicked the ground.
Eclipse then smashed a knee into his gut forcing his opponent to keel over, then he threw a fist down the back of his head smashing him into the ground.
The monster then rose a foot and slammed it down on top.
Kron pushed himself up and backflipped away.
Eclipse growled as his target away.
Once the Saiyan stood up he grabbed the back of his head. "Rabbit punch huh? I think I know where you picked that up from." He glanced at Taiyang remembering that was one of his favorite strikes.
The monster roared as he ran forward.
"I prefer uppercuts!" He threw a fist up his chin sending him upward. The Saiyan jumped and kicked straight into his chest.
As Eclipse was sent flying his wings spread and stopped himself and floated on his side of the ring.
Kron floated upward and had his hands on his side. Ten Ki orbs spread behind him.
Eclipse spread his wings far behind his back.
"Guided Swarm!" He moved all ten Ki blasts towards the monster.
The Grimm thrusted his wings firing ten Nevermore feathers towards the Scourge.
All ten projectiles collided and created a smoke screen between the two.
Kron and Eclipse were surprised that their attacks were countered by the other.
The two then flew towards each other in the smoke and threw a fist.
Their punches collided pushing the smoke out of the area.
Eclipse grew his deathstalker tail and was about to pierce his chest.
Kron rose his arm to catch the green stinger close to his chest.
And the Grimm slammed his fist into his stomach.
But Kron didn't let go instead he slammed an elbow across Eclipse's face forcing his head to turn, he then kicked at his side forcing his body to tilt. He then grabbed his head and slammed it across his knee.
With a growl Eclipse kicked up Kron's chin, wrapped his tail around his arms, then he grabbed the Scourge's neck with his left hand, and threw a punch to his gut and his face multiple times. As he did his tail stinger pierced the side of his neck.
Kron screamed as the green stinger pierced him and he kicked Eclipse's stomach multiple times.
It was enough to force the monster to be pushed back.
Kron then grabbed his deathstalker tail and pulled Eclipse closer and slammed a fist across the beast's face. Then he swung a kick across his face the other way and he punched a fist into his chest sending him back.
Eclipse caught himself in midair, he then flew up as Kron tried to kick forward.
The monster then slammed both feet into Kron's back.
It had enough force to send him downward and slam into the ring making a huge crack in it.
Kron pushed himself up and jumped back as Eclipse dashed down trying to strike him further.
The Saiyan then tossed a Ki blast forward.
Eclipse covered himself in his wings shielding him from the blast.
Kron then ran forward grabbed Eclipse's wings to pull them apart.
The monster punched into his stomach.
And Kron double kicked into his face.
With that kick it tore Eclipse's wings off and sent him skidding back.
Smiling the Saiyan tossed aside the severed wings and dashed forward.
Eclipse while shocked that his wings were ripped off watched as the Scourge flew at him.
Kron punched across the monster's face.
And the mutant slashed across Kron's chest.
With a new bloody mark across his chest, the Saiyan continued his assault and swept kick the monster, he then grabbed his deathstalker tail rose him up and kicked into the back of the best while letting go of the tail sending the monster flying across the ring.
The Scourge of Anima flew forward and tossed two Ki blasts for him.
Eclipse slammed his hands on the ground to slow his momentum down and land on the ground.
The beast sees the energy blasts and they exploded into him, creating another column of smoke.
Once Kron was within range, he threw a punch where he smelled the beast's scent.
But to his surprise he did not the mutant Grimm's main body.
Eclipse's wings had grown back, and he surrounded himself in them again.
Before the Saiyan could react, the monster pushed back his wings.
The impact sent Kron rolling across the ring.
But Eclipse smiled and threw a clawed hand forward, his arm stretched like a Nuckelavee and grabbed Kron's tail.
The Saiyan was surprised at how quickly was grabbed he was then pulled back towards the monster.
Once Eclipse pulled Kron within range, he threw a fist downward.
But Kron kicked up the monster's fist and he kicked his arm that grabbed his tail forcing him to let go.
The Saiyan then quickly stood up and threw a spear hand for his throat.
Eclipse dodged and slammed a fist into across his face.
And Kron countered by grabbing his wrist and threw a palm strike for his chest.
That strike was strong enough to send Eclipse across the ring.
Not that the two were apart they each had their own perspective for the other.
Eclipse was happier than he ever was, the amount of force in those attacks was better than he expected, he feared he wouldn't have a worthy opponent once he had gotten stronger. To his surprise he was strong enough to match him on top of that he can see how his fighting style works.
The scourge spins like a Boarbatusk, swings his arms like Berringel, strikes with a spear hand like a Deathstalker stinger and grips like a King Taijitu and palm strikes like an Ursa. He has many different strikes based on the movement of Grimm.
How ironic, his father was right the Scourge was a real monster.
Just like him, Eclipse smiled giddy for what's next.
Kron was panting and wiped some blood out of his mouth. He's met opponents that have made him bleed since becoming the Scourge of Anima. Raven was able to take attacks from him at full power, but this Grimm took his attacks better than anyone or anything he met since he left the Arena and was impressed by how its body moved.
This Grimm has wings and can fire sharp feathers like a Nevermore, a tail of a deathstalker, and has the stretching ability of a Nuckelavee. Three different powers of Grimm in one body, plus there might be even more. On top of that he's fighting with actual skill, it was as if it was an Alpha.
How ironic, Raven did always think he was a real monster.
Just like this thing, Kron had a wide smile looking forward to this battle.
Both fighters chuckled wondering what the other will do.
At the side of the arena Blake watched with a scared expression on her face. She didn't understand what this thing was seemed even with Kron. Was he holding back again? Should she go find Ozpin and get help?
Suddenly a hand touched her shoulder, she got scared and turned.
Yang smiled at her partner. "Easy partner, come on, it's Kron, you don't think he can lose, do you?"
Blake still looked worried observing the fight. "I've seen him in a corner like this once." She thought of Goodwitch about to kill him after being worn out from taking attacks from the Fire Semblance user. "I don't know if he can win."
"Trust me he's got this." Yang said looking at Kron. "Look at him, he's smiling like a kid in a candy store, I'm sure he can win like he always does."
Yang remembered the battle between him and Raven. Raven was holding back more than she thought she would, and Kron shown greater strength than she thought he had. That power, even with another month of training like they originally planned, she still wouldn't have been able to compete.
She squeezed her fists and smiled. She had an even bigger mountain to climb, one day somehow, she was going to match him and score at least one win against him. Seeing what Ki has done for her so far, she was excited and wondered when she can get this strong.
Blake felt a bit of reassurance hearing that and tried to smile thinking that way. But still seeing him bloody and bruised like that. It felt uneasy and she wished there was something she can do.
Qrow and Taiyang watched with worry at the sight.
This thing was smaller than they remembered, but it was also more dangerous than they remembered. It hasn't shown anything knew.
"Dad, Uncle Qrow"
The two turned to Ruby who watched unsure of what they can do. "You said you fought this thing before with Raven, how do you think Kron will do against it?"
Qrow looked at the monster, noting how different it looked. "Hard to say, Raven was able to take it out with the same power." He said looking at his unconscious sister. "Now though? It's way stronger than it was last time, I don't know if the kid can take it, but if he can't I don't think we will be able to do much about it."
"Is there nothing we can do?" Weiss asked.
Taiyang looked at Kron, this boy was able to take on multiple Maiden level opponents while Jade's Jar was sealing him. He couldn't say for certain.
"You need to go now." Taiyang said. "In case that thing wins, we need to evacuate this entire place." He said to them.
"I'm not going anywhere." Yang said determined. "I know Kron can win, but if he can't I'm here." She said punching into her palm.
Taiyang and Qrow knew they weren't going to be able to talk her out of this.
"Fine, but I'm evacuating the place." Qrow said and looked to Taiyang. "Stay and watch the girls." He also looked down at Raven who was on a stretcher. "And make sure she doesn't run."
Tai nodded while Qrow ran off.
As he did the blonde looked around at Team RWBY, who would have thought that the team his girls were on would be so fiercely loyal to the Scourge of Anima.
And that the Scourge would save Qrow, Raven's brother of all people.
He looked down at Raven who was unconscious and sighed.
It's decided, he was never leaving his girls after this.
Kron chuckled as he cracked his knuckles, this thing had plenty of fight left in him.
"Ozpin's huntsmen, Soul Dust users, and Maidens." He said to the monster. "All three were able to make me bleed since I retired from Daim's arena, few of them made me go all out."
He thought of his battle against Bertilak and Carmine. And his recent fight against Raven.
"But none of them so far have been able to handle me fighting at my best for this long, I never thought there'd be a Grimm that can not only survive me fighting all out but also fight back with the same amount of strength!" He cackled. "Man, I really thought I was going to have to wait a bit longer before getting a fight like this again."
He said as he glanced over at Yang who was watching the fight. How he would've loved to kill Raven not only for revenge but also for a chance for her to become the next Spring Maiden. He focused back at the monster and kept a smile.
"But I never thought it'd be now, I was so fucking angry that I had to spare the old hag, but this fight is just what I needed! My blood is pumping my heart is pounding as much as it did the last time, I fought Raven."
He thought of that fight when he was a child, how he survived and managed to beat Raven who was stronger than him at the time.
"I can tell that your smarter than any Grimm I fought, even alphas don't fight this well, so can you talk?" He asked. "Come on say something, what do I call you?"
Eclipse blinked at him for a few seconds, he only let out a confused growl wondering why he wasn't attacking and talking instead.
Kron had an annoyed expression and sighed. "Damn, wishful thinking I guess, I like talking to my opponents, it's really annoying when they can't talk back." He thought of Winter and how she gave him the silent treatment during that whole fight. "Oh well, come on!" He said smiling and cracking his knuckles. "Let's get back to business!"
He yelled as he dashed forward ready to fight again.
Eclipse let out a happy squeal happy to see the fight continue and then smiled thinking of a fun new attack he can try.
Kron was within range and threw a kick aimed for his midsection.
Eclipse slammed his hands in the metal arena, his Grimm claws buried in the ground, and he smiled as the kick connected.
Kron's kick sent Eclipse flying back but interestingly his arms remained attached to the ring.
The Saiyan was confused as Eclipse's arms stretched, looking like he was stretching the ropes of a wrestling ring.
Eclipse had aimed both feet as his arms pulled him back and kicked forward with a tremendous amount of force.
The kick connected with Kron's abdomen and propelled him on the other side of the ring.
Once he was Eclipse got back on his feet and stretched his arms again grabbing Kron by the ankles.
Kron was still in air and recovering from the counterattack and felt himself being pulled down. The Saiyan's body was slammed into the ground making him scream.
Eclipse smiled and reeled in his arms pulling Kron closer to him.
Kron growled feeling insulted that such a no brain combination caused him so much pain.
The monster brought Kron close to him and was about to stomp his abdomen.
But Kron immediately fired a Ki blast at his face, forcing the best to let go of his legs and reel back.
Then Kron jumped up and swung an upper cut up the Grimm's chin. He then swept kick the monster forcing him to the ground.
Eclipse was on the ground and thrusted his deathstalker tail towards Kron.
But the Saiyan saw it coming and grabbed the tail by it's stinger again, he lifted the tail and swung upward.
This sent Eclipse flying.
Kron laughed as he flew upward.
Eclipse stopped his rise with his wings and brought his arms together to swing them down towards the upcoming Kron.
But the Saiyan had other plans and evaded the strike, he then grabbed the beasts' arms and axe kicked for his head.
Only for Eclipse's tail to raise and act as a shield to block.
The monster then swung a clawed strike upward again slashing the Saiyan's chest.
To counter Kron swung another kick across the monster's face. He then threw multiple punches to the monster's abdomen. He then spun and swung a back hand across the beast's face sending him spiraling back.
Kron then dashed forward and brought out a hand. It had red Ki and formed into a familiar shape.
Eclipse stopped again mid-flight and looked to see the Scourge used his power to shape into a claw.
As he got closer, he remembered something, that the yellow man did. He rose his arms, the bone armor at his wrists seemed to grow.
"Ursa Claw!" Kron yelled as he thrusted his close-range technique.
Only for it to contact with a large wall of bone armor in the shape of a shield, it formed cracks as his technique connected but it was unable to pierce the armor.
"What the" Kron's eyes widened his technique pierced everything whenever it landed. Also, that shield looked familiar.
Eclipse made a weird noise as if surprised at what it just did. But he smiled, as if he had gotten something new to try.
Kron remembered Yang's father using a shield like this only it was yellow instead of white. He chuckled as he pulled back his Ursa Claw and smashed into the shield again breaking the entire shield trying to pierce the creature.
But Eclipse managed to wrap his tail around the Scourge's wrist, he smiled as an idea came to him. With a squeal a white blade formed over his right wrist in the shape of a katana, and he swung it down aiming for Kron's arm.
Kron immediately grabbed Eclipse's wrist, stopping the swing of the blade. Once he stopped the slash, he noticed something.
What he pulled out looked like a Grimm armor sword, it looked like a Grimm version of Raven's weapon omen only it was connected to the mutant's wrist bone armor.
Eclipse let out what sounded like a demonic chuckle not angry that he was unable to cut Kron's arm off like he intended.
The Saiyan's arm with Ursa Claw faded as he didn't want to waste his Ki on the technique, he then kicked the side of the Grimm.
Eclipse was forced to let go but returned the favor with a fist across the Scourge's face. He then swung his bone made sword across aiming for his neck.
And Kron tilted his head back evading the bone blade and started floating back to get some distance, once he stopped a few feet away he looked at the creature.
Eclipse was flapping his wings and looked at his new weapon as if facilitated by the bone blade, like he just found out he could do that, the blade shrunk back into his wrist armor, not only did he get stronger he also got a new power.
And the perfect toy to test it on! He looked at the Scourge ready to continue the fun.
"So, you can make weapons out of your bone armor huh?" Kron asked intrigued not remembering a Grimm that wielded a weapon. "Neat, still that blade doesn't have Omen's dust blades, it's practically useless."
Eclipse tilted his head but smiled as he recreated his bone blade and dashed forward as if wanting to prove him wrong, and tried to remember Raven's movements, how she wielded her weapon.
He swung his blade across aiming for the Saiyan's waist.
Kron flew downward and the blade missed.
The Grimm then slashed downward the millisecond it missed.
The Saiyan swung a back hand to shatter the bone blade like he did to Raven's multiple times.
*Chink*
Kron was surprised, he struck as hard as he could.
Eclipse's bone blade didn't break like he had done to Raven's, in fact it hurt his arm striking it.
The monster cackled as he pulled back the blade and tried to pierce with his tail.
Kron tilted his body evading the tail's stinger.
And Eclipse slashed across his Kron's abdomen.
The Saiyan grabbed his stomach as a thin line of blood spelled from his abdomen, he looked down with widened eyes. That blade didn't have Dust properties, but the material was durable enough to survive his attacks and sharp enough to cut him more than Raven's Omen.
Not just that, but those movements, their different but their very similar to Raven's sword strikes.
Eclipse remembered one of Raven's strikes and tried to thrust his new blade.
"That's enough!" He yelled as he ducked under the blade and threw a fist into the monster's stomach.
It was enough force to force the creature to keel over, and then be sent upward once again.
Then the Saiyan grabbed the monster by his wrist and flung his whole body downward.
As he did Kron flew downward and slammed his fists into the monster's back.
It had enough force to crush the beast's body against the ring.
Kron then stood up on top of the monster's body and stomped on the monster's blade multiple times until it finally broke. That took more effort than usual to break a weapon.
Eclipse growled angry that his new tool broke and rose his tail to sting the Saiyan's back.
But being used to attacks from behind Kron grabbed the tail and started to pull much to the creature's protest, until the green tail had ripped off.
Eclipse didn't feel pain of course but felt annoyed that the Scourge ripped off his tail, but almost immediately another tail formed with the same stinger and almost pierced him.
Only for the Saiyan to jump off Eclipse's body knowing how useless it would be to rip off this tail to.
Kron chuckled, no matter how much he rips off this creature can just grow it back.
Good. Which means this fight can continue even longer.
Eclipse pushed himself up and smiled, while he was annoyed how he was beneath the Scourge for a few minutes he was happy not to see his friend break.
But he frowned when he realized what he thought.
Friend?
No, he was a toy like everything else.
But he didn't break. Not like the others.
The Big Man was nice and had a fun way of fighting but he wasn't strong enough for him to really start playing.
The Mean Lady beat him, but she was always scared throughout their fight.
This 'toy', the Scourge was not only fighting evenly with him, but he was having fun just like him.
He's in pain but he's smiling, he's having fun.
With him.
Eclipse had a wide smile he wasn't sure if he found the friend he always wanted but he was going to find out now!
The Grimm dashed forward smiling the whole way.
Kron tossed a couple Ki blasts aiming at his wings.
But Eclipse did something knew and spun around with his wings, shaping his body into a black drill and impaled the metal ring avoiding the Ki blasts.
Kron was surprised and before he could react the monster appeared behind him.
The Saiyan turned swinging with his backhand.
Only for the monster to catch it, wrap his arms and deathstalker tail around the Saiyan's body.
"What the!" He yelled as he was caught in the monster's grip.
And with the deathstalker stinger piercing his shoulder again making him scream.
Eclipse giggled as he flew up with his new 'friend' and spun in a circle over the ring.
'What's this! The beast has captured the Scourge of Anima and is now flying in a circle! Who can say what this monster is planning!'
As Kron was spinning, he was starting to get dizzy and tried to break free, but the monster proved just as strong as he was, he couldn't break out of its grip.
Eclipse squealed as he let go as he flew down with a seismic toss and hit the center of the ring. The crash shook the floating ring and created a huge crack.
The mutant landed on the ground on one side of the ring, he wasn't done yet, he wanted to keep playing. He turned and ran towards the center.
Blake looked panicked at the impact of that strike.
Even Yang who was so confident in his abilities and his constant win streak.
She squeezed her fists, she wanted to go in there, but wasn't sure if she'd be of any help or would just get in the way.
Ruby looked panicked and held up Crescent Rose ready to use it to assist Kron from a distance.
"Ruby don't." Yang said to her. "He doesn't want us to interfere, also I don't think your shots will do anything since it looks like Kron is really trying."
Ruby looked at Yang and at the fight. She was right if this thing can fight someone like Kron, she wouldn't be able to even hurt the monster.
Yang looked at the damage done by the monster Kron must've been hurt from that. She had to wait though, if she has to step in she will, she looked at Blake who was extremely troubled watching.
At the very least she had to make sure that her partner didn't step in. She might put herself in danger again.
Kron's upper body was buried into the ring, only his legs were shown. With some effort, Kron planted his feet on the ground and pulled himself up.
He grabbed his head not remembering the last time he felt this much pain before he could plan his next move Eclipse was already in front of him.
Eclipse swung up his foot slamming it up the boy's chin.
"Gah!" He yelled as he was sent flying.
While he was launched, Eclipse then stretched his hands forward grabbing the Saiyans legs and slammed Kron down on the ring again.
Kron was struck with so much force that he had to scream in pain once again.
To make matters worse, Eclipse jumped and kicked downward towards Kron. His clawed feet slammed into the Scourge's abdomen.
The kick was so heard that it made a huge spider crack beneath his body that was threatening to break his body through the ring.
Eclipse looked down smiling but then he tilted his head wondering why he hasn't countered him yet. Maybe he's faking, Eclipse grabbed Kron by his head and lifted him up to his head level.
Kron's head was covered in his own blood and his eyes were closed. He looked so lifeless as if he was unconscious.
Eclipse frowned, maybe he was a toy after all. If that's so he must finish the mission, he pulls back his arm ready to punch him again.
But Kron awoke suddenly and punched up the mutant's elbow.
The monster was shocked that it had enough force to make the beast let go of his prey.
And the Saiyan threw a palm strike at the center of the monster's chest sending him skidding across the ring.
Eclipse seemed to pause as if surprised that his prey was still alive.
He smiled, maybe this 'toy' was the friend he wanted after all.
Kron panted, his body was covered in cuts, bruises, and he can feel some cracks in his bones.
He was not at 100%, he really played around too much with the old Hag.
To think he thought that would be the best fight he'd get today.
And just then his vision swam, darkened in spots. This feels familiar but at the same time new. He didn't feel this ever since his last fight against the hag.
He was losing consciousness.
Damn it, he glared trying to focus himself.
Just then someone flew downward from the top of the arena where Eclipse had flown from, and a red energy ball fired from the figure.
Eclipse turned and rose an arm creating another bone shield blocking the blast, it felt just like the Scourge's power.
Kron's eyes widened at the sight, he glanced at Yang who was still on her side of the arena and looked towards the figure who descended from the top of the arena.
She had long red hair in a pony tail, a golden crown and matching armor, she had aimed a hand clearly where she fired her attack.
Kron recognized that, there was no doubt what that light was. But how?
"Pyrrha!" Yang yelled at the red head.
Kron heard that name and wondered where he heard that name before. Wasn't she some champion of a tournament held in Mistral? He remembered some time ago he considered just crashing the event for fun at some point.
Just then another descended, this time it was familiar blonde woman with her hair in a professional bun with a riding crop. One that Kron knew all to well.
Goodwitch, the one who almost had him killed.
She landed next to Kron and she looked at him for a few moments, before surprisingly bowing her head.
"Kron" She said politely. "I apologize for what I had done the last time we laid eyes on another, I hope to remedy that." She said staring at the monster.
Kron was surprised to hear her say that, se didn't expect her popping up out of nowhere nor the apology.
Eclipse was confused seeing more toys pop out of nowhere, he glanced at the red head. Clearly, she had the same power as the Scourge. Maybe another toy he can play with? He looked at his 'friend' and frowned, he didn't want to play fair?
He had a look that showed he was disappointed.
"Apologies for being late."
Kron turned and saw another person entered the ring.
Ozpin stood next to Kron without him noticing.
"Raven had taken me somewhere I could not assist nor send assistance right away." Ozpin explained looking at Kron and then over to the side of the arena. He sees Raven, still alive but unconscious.
"I see that everything was settled?"
Kron didn't respond to him and just looked over at Pyrrha. He looked at Ozpin. "How did she do that?"
Ozpin frowned and had said. "I may have acquired Ki for myself, after some trial and error." He admitted to him.
Kron stared at him for a few moments in silence for a few seconds. "That was not part of the agreement, teaching behind my back."
"You did not forbid it either." He reminded him. "I followed all the rules of our agreement, you cannot deny that." He said to him and looked at Raven. "I had no intention of interrupting your battle with Raven and it seemed to have come and gone."
Kron thought about it and in the end, he was more impressed then angry about how he learned Ki for himself and taught his own student in secret.
"Heh, when I taught Yang Ki I knew you would spread Ki knowledge at some point, didn't think you'd be able to learn it without me instructing you directly." He said to him. "Lucky for our deal is over, otherwise I might have some complaints." He squeezed his hand chuckling.
Ozpin did not respond and focused his attention on the monster. "Allow us to assist you, your battle has clearly fatigued you, we will not allow you to perish after everything you've done for Vale and my students."
Kron said nothing and looked at the Grimm mutant.
It frowned and made a strange noise that sounded whiney and disappointed.
Like he wanted their fight to be one on one.
And he seemed to think he was a coward.
"Pyrrha, focus on long range fire when he is trapped." His student nodded in return and he turned to Glynda. "Glynda, for now focus on restricting movement, Kron and I will-"
Just then he felt a hand on the back of his neck.
Ozpin was surprised to feel the grip and glanced to see Kron who had an angry look on his face.
Without much effort Kron tossed Ozpin behind him.
The headmaster caught himself midair and can see Pyrrha confused and Glynda debating whether to attack Kron or not.
"Kron!" Ozpin shouted. "What are you doing?"
Kron looked at Eclipse ignoring the glare from Glynda and the bewildered look from Pyrrha.
Eclipse looked confused seeing that.
"Ozpin" Kron said. "Take your lackies and stay out of my way!"
Ozpin saw this response coming and tried to reason. "Your still worn out from your battle with Raven, please allow me to-"
"Shut up!" Kron shouted with a smile and kept his eyes on the monster. "This thing, whatever it is, it's as strong as I am, I maybe banged up from fighting Raven but trust me, I got plenty left in the tank to take him on! So, call off these two! Now! Unless you want them to be beaten down to!"
This surprised both Pyrrha and Glynda, this boy was extremely stubborn and wanted to fight a strong opponent even if it meant his death.
Ozpin was right Kron was still worn out from fighting Raven.
But he'll be damned if he lets that become his downfall. He finally found an opponent that can take his full power and he wasn't going to waste it! He finally had a fight where he had to fight all out from the start, no warmups, just an all-out fight!
Ozpin said nothing as if considering Kron's words, he felt like he meant it, he's seen plenty of warriors in his time, but few matched the battle lust he seemed to have.
The headmaster looked at the monster, the green eyes and glow it was giving off. No doubt this was Dr. Merlot's creation, Salem must have taken him under her wing. He can't imagine him being able to create something this strong on his own.
Eclipse had widened eyes, so he didn't call for help. He really wanted to play with him, alone. His green smile returned happy that his 'friend' wasn't a scaredy cat like the Mean Lady.
"No!" Another voice shouted.
Great.
Kron turned to see Blake jumping in the ring.
"Kron please, let them help! Let us help!" She said to him.
"Get lost Blake, this fight is mine and mine alone!"
Blake glared at him as she looked at him up and down and then at the monster that seemed none the worse for wear.
"I don't care, look at you!" She shouted. "Your bleeding, burned, and covered in bruises! I'm not letting you die!"
Yang landed next to Blake and looked at Kron, seeing the vicious look in his eyes.
"Kron, do you really think you can take him?"
Kron turned to Eclipse and smiled. "I do."
Yang wanted to fight with him to force herself in his fight but knew how he felt about getting help. She turned to Blake.
"Come on" She said to Blake.
"What?" Blake asked.
"Kron's the most honest guy we know, if he says he can win I believe him." Yang said to her.
Blake looked at Yang like she had gone crazy.
"I know, but come on, he's not going to stop anyway." She said to her. "Let's trust him, he'll pull through I know he will." Yang turned to Kron giving him a smile.
Kron nodded in return and looked up at Ozpin who floated with Ki.
Ozpin sighed and waved his hand signaling his reinforcements to move to the side.
Glynda and Pyrrha reluctantly went along with it and followed Ozpin out of the ring.
"Prove her right." Ozpin said to him.
Kron chuckled it was his way of saying 'of course' and kept his eyes on the monster.
Somehow, he thought the Grimm was happy to see him send them away.
Ozpin and co stood at the edge of the arena. He looked at Taiyang and down at Raven who was unconscious and unable to move.
"Taiyang, I" The headmaster began.
"Not now Ozpin." The blonde said and looked down at Raven. "Just help me keep an eye on her, and help keep my daughters safe."
Ozpin nodded and looked down at her with a sorrowful expression he wished things didn't end like this, she was missing an arm.
But she was still alive, he wondered how Kron was able to be talked down.
"Ozpin?" Ruby asked. "How did you do that? Did Kron teach you?"
Ozpin chuckled seeing that the cat was out of the bag. "Sort of."
Yang looked over at Pyrrha confused. "Hey P-money, how did you do that?"
"It's a very long story." She said looking at the ring. "Though you must tell me, who is he?" She asked looking at the boy. "I didn't exactly get a full explanation myself." She said looking at Ozpin.
All she got was that her friends needed help.
"Attention ladies and gentlemen, we are now under evacuation, all staff are leaving the arena." The announcer yelled. "If this Grimm destroys the Scourge the audience are likely next, we advise all to leave the arena now."
Dead End Arena was an illegal operation so it would make sense that they would 'advise' all to leave.
"Explanations are for later." Ozpin interrupted. "Come, if he won't allow us to interfere, let's at least help Qrow evacuate the arena."
Team RWBY all agreed even though Blake reluctantly followed along.
They just hope that Yang's judgement was right as they began trying evacuate the arena.
Kron only smiled and looked at Eclipse and walked towards him.
Eclipse smiled back and walked towards him at the center of the ring.
The two stopped just a foot away from each other.
Eclipse stood almost a head taller and stared in the Scourge's eyes seeing his eager to play with him like a friend.
Kron looked up at the green eyes of the Mutant seeing the bloodlust emanate from them, he wanted to rip him apart and he loved it.
"Sorry about that, though that little breather helped, now I can fight you no problem." Kron said to the monster as if he could understand him. "Let's go again, this time no interruptions, just you and me."
Eclipse let out a squeal clearly excited to play fair and square.
Kron couldn't understand this thing and yet felt like he understood the monster.
"Let's start at the count of three." Kron offered. "1…2…3!"
Eclipse threw a fist downward.
And Kron swung a kick towards the monster's side.
The Grimm caught the Scourge's leg with its arm.
The Saiyan caught the mutant's fist with his forearm.
They then threw fists at the same time.
Both fists connected to each other's faces forcing each of them to stumble back.
The two yelled as they threw punches and kicks, tanking each other's strikes rather than blocking or dodging.
Eclipse slammed a fist straight into Kron's jaw sending him back.
But Kron stopped himself and started another exchange of fists.
The Saiyan slammed an elbow right against the beast's face.
Eclipse rose his wings to keep himself from being sent flying and continued the clash.
Their fists and kicks slammed into each other, both fighters seemed to believe that the best defense is the best offence.
But it ended again with Eclipse kicking Kron's head to the side.
And Kron spun with a vicious backhand.
Eclipse rose his arm to block the strike he then rose a hand, his bone spike extended into a blade and slashed downward.
Kron rose an arm, forming his Ursa Claw quickly and this time without yelling the name, since he's using it for defense instead of offense.
After pushing it away the claw dissipated to conserve his Ki, and he swung an uppercut up the monster's chin forcing it to look up.
Kron then threw two punches in the creature's abdomen forcing the Grimm to keel and the Saiyan threw another uppercut.
Quickly Eclipse slammed his head downward against Kron's before he could continue the combo.
The Grimm then threw a fist across his cheek forcing the Scourge to stumble back, then he went behind Kron and slammed a rabbit punch down his head making him stumble forward.
Eclipse then grabbed his shoulder and turned him around and swung a kick up the Scourge's chin forcing him to stumble backward.
Kron fell backward, but then he put his hands on the ground and swept kick.
At this point the Grimm was familiar with that tactic and backed away from the strike.
The Saiyan then stood back up and threw a palm strike aimed at his chest.
Eclipse crossed his arms to block.
But Kron pulled back his fist and flipped forward and swung an axe kick down on top of Eclipse's head forcing him to look down.
And with that opening Kron smiled as he rose his leg again and axe kicked down on top of Eclipse's head again.
The monster's head slammed into the ground cracking the ring again.
And Kron then quickly grabbed the monster by his head, lifting him up and threw a punch up the monster's gut sending him upward.
"Manticore Massacre!" He yelled flying up towards the monster.
But unlike with Raven the monster was able to counter, he thrusted his wings. Multiple sharp nevermore feathers were launched towards him.
"Tch" Kron was annoyed that one of his favorite moves was interrupted and evaded the feathers, he looked up to see Eclipse flying down with his arm raised.
This time the claws on his hand changed shape into a curve blade, a scythe apart of his hand and he slashed downward.
Kron grabbed the bone blade with his hands to stop it.
Eclipse smiled as his tail thrusted forward aiming for his chest.
But to his surprise his monkey tail rose and wrapped around the monster's tail.
Eclipse growled annoyed at how his tail only stung him a few times.
Kron chuckled and reared his head back before slamming it into Eclipse's forcing his head to pull back and his bladed hand to be pulled back as well.
The Saiyan then grabbed the monster's hand and struck the bone blade.
This time the blade snapped at the pressure, which Kron took note of. Grimm do not fatigue, but they can still be damaged if consistent enough.
Eclipse growled as he pulled back his hands and slammed the ground. His claws went threw the ground.
Kron tried to throw another punch.
But then Eclipse's stretched arms came from the ground and grabbed Kron's arms before he could punch and pulled his arms down like they were weighted.
While his prey was restrained, the Grimm swung his leg up kicking up Kron's chain forcing him to look up.
Eclipse smiled as he then kicked at his chest and up his head multiple times.
Kron growled as his hands glowed red, he fired Ki at the ground.
The impact forced Eclipse to stumble back and let his stretched arms were forced to let go of Kron's arms.
Now free the Saiyan struck with a flattened hand towards the monster's throat. And he followed up with a palm strike to the monster's face, and he finished the combo with a kick straight into the creature's stomach.
Kron got closer to land more strikes.
Eclipse swung his wings trying to ensnare Kron once again.
The Saiyan then ducked down as the wings missed and then he rose with an uppercut forcing the beast to be sent flying up.
Eclipse stopped his momentum with his wings.
And Kron was already flying just below him and continued his assault in the air.
Kron then struck the monster's abdomen with his elbow forcing the beast to bend, and then he threw a straight punch at the monster's face forcing him back.
Before he could get too far back, Kron grabbed the monster's tail and pulled Eclipse back with in range. He slammed a fist into the monster's get forcing him to keel, he then slammed an elbow across his face.
It was enough force to make the monster turn completely around, with his back towards Kron.
The Saiyan then rose a leg to axe kick the monster again.
But before it could connect, Eclipse backflipped and his clawed foot slammed on top of Kron's head and sent the Scourge downward and crash against the ring.
Eclipse smiled as he flew down ready smash him further into the ring, but he stopped as he saw a large silhouette through the smoke.
"Scourge Grimm!" Kron yelled.
A red large Ki nevermore appeared from the smoke it wasn't as big a nevermore can get but it was still twice Eclipse's size.
Eclipse made a confused noise and couldn't stop the winged beast as its wings wrapped around him, the same way his wings captured Kron.
On the ground Kron crossed his arms into an 'X' with his fists pointed up. "Doesn't feel so good does it!" He laughed and then snapped his fingers.
The Ki nevermore then glowed before exploding with Eclipse at the center. As it exploded the monster fell clearly effected by the technique.
Kron flew up and slammed a kick at the side of Eclipse before he could hit the ground.
The monster roared as he was sent flying.
Kron then fired a Ki ball towards the beast, it connected and sent him falling.
"See how you take this!" Kron yelled as he got into position his hands upward showing Red Ki blasts that he made smaller and smaller before closing his fists. He then thrusted his hands forward. "Berringel Burst!"
He fired his first energy technique towards the beast.
Eclipse landed on the ground and stood up and was unable to move in time. He crossed his arms and formed his shield.
The beast screamed as he was forced to endure the power.
Kron stood and panted heavily, that might not have been a good idea, that one really spent his energy reserves, whatever's left of them, he fell to one knee and looked ahead at the smoke.
Glynda was using her Semblance to create shields to prevent the falling debris from the two combatants, to ensure the audience can escape safely.
By her side was Ozpin who floated next to her.
"My half of the part is cleared, as is Taiyang and Qrow's." Ozpin reported and helped a group get to the exit." Where are the students?"
"I sent them near the exit to make sure they can find their way." Glynda said watching the battle between the two monsters. "This creature, it's far stronger than any Grimm I've seen, on top of it it can regenerate." She observed the battle. "I wonder what would have happened if.." She paused thinking of her mistake. "If I had gone through with killing him."
Ozpin can see that she was still struggling with what she tried to do. But she was right, if she had killed Kron, this creature may have become the end of Remnant. Salem's greatest weapon.
Just watching Ozpin understood one thing.
Both this creature and Kron, surpass Salem.
He never thought it could be done, not with Aura at least.
It makes sense for Salem to have allow Dr. Merlot to this creature. No matter how strong this thing is, she is immortal.
And that leads him to ask one thing.
If Kron fails, who would be able to stop this abomination?
Eclipse was still in the ring and his large bone shield several cracks were on it. The shield shrank and separated. And the monster was down on one knee.
Kron looked at the monster and scanned him up and down. His bone armor was damaged, and it wasn't regenerating.
He thought that not killing the hag, not allowing Yang to become the Spring Maiden, he would not find someone to use his all against.
That he would never find a worthy opponent on Remnant.
Grimm don't feel pain, don't fatigued. But they can still get damaged. And even if they can regenerate there's a limit, and this thing was reaching the end.
Eclipse was near the end of his rope, he thought after molting for a month he would be ready to complete the mission. To be the strongest being to exist. To take his place as the Grimm King.
That there would be no way to meet his friend instead of a toy.
Both at the same time thought the same thing and smiled at each other.
They were so happy to be proven wrong!
Kron and Eclipse threw themselves at one another determined to prove their strength over the other.
Once Eclipse was within reach he slammed a fist into Kron's gut, rose a clawed hand to strike his midsection, and kicked up the Scourge's chin.
Kron recovered and slammed a kick into Eclipse's mid-section, he then slammed a fist across the monster's face multiple times, he then grabbed head and threw multiple straight punches.
Eclipse caught a fist in his hand and then opened his mouth and bit into Kron's arm!
"Ahhh!" Kron yelled, not sure why he was surprised, it was a Grimm.
While biting Eclipse rose a leg and slammed his knee against his abdomen multiple times. Then he let go of the Scourge's arm and threw first down at the back of his head.
But Kron saw it coming and tilted his head allowing the rabbit punch to miss, then got up and slammed a kick at the side of his head.
Eclipse roared and bashed his fist across the Saiyan's face. It made him turn, the monster then rose a fist and formed daggers at his knuckles and bashed against his face, he then used his other hand to grab Kron's head and slammed him to the ground.
Kron kicked upwards against Eclipse's face, he then jumped and headbutted the monster forcing him to stumble back, he then low kicked at Eclipse's leg making him stumble even more. Kron then punched straight into Eclipse's face.
The monster's mask was shown to be cracked even more his trident shaped crown started to fall apart. He threw another punch.
But the Saiyan caught it with great effort.
Eclipse swung his other fist.
Kron caught that as well.
Eclipse reared back his head ready to headbutt again.
But the Saiyan pulled Eclipse by his arms downward and bashed his against the monster's knee. He then squatted down and swung his fist upward in a mighty uppercut.
The attack landed and forced the one-winged Eclipse into the air as he roared.
And Kron wasn't done yet, he jumped upward above the flying Eclipse and rose a leg.
The Saiyan slammed a kick down Eclipse's head.
Though Kron had little energy that kick had enough force to make another large crack on the ring's surface and sent the beast right through and towards the bottom beneath the floating ring and on to the true bottom of the arena.
Eclipse's mask then seemed to have completely shatter. And now he didn't seem to be getting up.
Kron then immediately tossed a red Ki blast downward, the blast slammed into the back of the monster and exploded in a puff of smoke.
He floated while looking down at where the Grimm was and smiled. "That… was… fun."
As the fight ended, Yang came from the arena's entrance and looked at the damaged ring. She sees Kron standing over the large hole.
The Saiyan chuckled and started falling.
Yang flew in with her arms outstretched.
Kron felt like he landed two soon and felt something harder than metal. Curious he opened his eyes fighting the urge to finally rest.
He looked up to see Yang who had a worried look.
"Yang?" He asked exhausted looking rather annoyed. "What are you doing?"
Yang smiled. "Glad your ok." She said as she descended and looked down at the hole Kron had made, she whistled. "You got a hell load of stamina."
Kron didn't comment and looked down at the hole he made.
Just then Blake came by Yang's side and looked at the 'Monkey Faunus'. "Kron?"
Kron tilted his head to see Blake. "What?"
Blake smiled happy to see that he had the energy to be annoyed. "Come on, let's get you to the infirmary."
"I'm fine" Kron said to her and looked at Yang. "Put me down."
"Can you even stand?"
"I can just put me down."
Yang frowned while looking at him and smirked knowing this was going to annoy him. "Nah, I'm going to keep carrying you like this, you clearly need it." She said to him.
Kron growled clearly embarrassed at the situation. "Can you please just get back to hating me?" He asked as his pride was breaking down.
Yang giggled. "Nope" She popped the 'p', she was clearly enjoying the nearly unstoppable Kron's embarrassment.
Kron glared at her trying to catch his breath.
"Oh come on, what guy wouldn't want a beautiful girl to have their arms around him?"
The Saiyan sighed as if accepting that this was happening, but then he looked down. "Put me down Yang."
"No way, you definitely need the help." She scolded him annoyed at his stubbornness.
"It's not over." Kron yelled as he tried to force himself out of her grip.
"What?" Yang asked and looked at the hole. No way was that true, whatever that thing was couldn't get up after that.
Could it?
Just then a void of black jumped from the hole on the ring and landed on the far other side of the ring.
It was still alive, although, it didn't seem much.
Once out Eclipse stood showing half of one wing, most of it's tail was missing, his mask and armor were covered in cracks, some of his black void body looked as though it was threatening to melt.
Yang and Blake were shocked at the sight.
Using their surprise to his advantage Kron broke out of Yang's grip and stood, though showed great struggle.
"Stay back, I'll finish it." He said panting as he walked forward.
"Kron" Blake said.
But stubborn as ever he walked forward though with great effort.
"Come on beast, let's end this."
Eclipse watched as the Scourge walked forward. Even missing a good amount of his body, he still smiled, this boy wanted to fight him by himself.
He really was meant to be his friend.
The monster started walking forward wanting to finish this playtime to the end.
He walked forward ready for what was going to happen, he was scared to die but, he wanted to keep playing, to keep having fun.
'Eclipse'
The monster stopped and made a noise.
'You must survive.'
Eclipse grabbed his head with his remaining hand.
This made Kron stop and wonder what the creature was doing.
Eclipse was hearing his mother's voice in his head telling him the same lines he heard when he was in his crystalized cocoon.
25 Years Ago
Eclipse can see that he was in a crib, the same memory that played many times in his head.
A woman with green eyes and long green hair looked down at him, she looked pale.
Luna Merlot, Doctor Merlot's wife.
Eclipse's Mother.
She put her hand down and Eclipse's small baby hand grabbed her finger.
"I'm so sorry, I passed my illness on to you." She said to him. "Your father, he's going to save you, I know he will." She coughed as Eclipse's infant hand played with her finger. Luna smiled down at him. "I'm sorry that I won't be here to see you." She started crying.
Eclipse didn't know what was going on, he just kept playing with her mother's hand while she laughed.
"Eclipse, please survive, grow big and strong." She said to him as she started to close her eyes. "Your father is going to need you."
His mother's hand was taken out of the crib as his father started to fall beside it.
"I love you."
Eclipse as a baby looked to his side watching as his mother fell not knowing why.
Immediately his father opened the door and held her up.
"Luna!" He cried as he grabbed his wife in despair.
Eclipse could do nothing but watch him cry.
Then a new memory came to him.
This time Eclipse remembered being attached to all kinds of machines months after his mother died.
"Your going to be ok." His father with black hair said to him. "Your going to be ok." He repeated it over and over with tears down his face.
He also heard a noise, that sounded like a monitor.
*BEEP*….*BEEP*
It repeated over and over again faster and faster.
"I'll save you, I promise that I will save you!" Dr. Merlot said to him with tears down. "I am going to make you happy and healthy!"
The hear monitor got faster and faster, the noise became weaker and weaker.
"Eclipse, I'm going to save you, I promise!" He yelled desperately not even believing his own words.
Eclipse as an infant can remember his vision.
"When I save you, you will have all the toys you want, just stay strong!"
His father's voice got quieter.
"Please don't leave me to."
And it was all silent after that.
Eclipse gripped the side of his head but stopped and made a noise that sounded like he was panting.
Kron looked at the monster confused, wondering if this was some kind of attack, but couldn't fathom how it could be.
Suddenly the Grimm opened his mouth.
"Mommy, Daddy" It suddenly said in a distorted tone.
That made everyone watching pause.
Ozpin was bewildered, what kind of experiments had Salem been doing? In all his years he never saw a Grimm that could speak.
"Did it just talk?" Ruby asked unsure of what she heard.
"And call it's…. parents?" Yang asked unsure of what was going on.
Kron on the other hand had a different reaction.
"Are you kidding me?" The Saiyan sighed. "Come on, I was hoping that you'd be able to talk, but when you do you can only cry for mommy and daddy to save you? I thought Grimm don't breed to make more."
He was disgusted, he thought he found a worthy opponent, he was but he always appreciated talking to his opponents but hearing him cry was annoying.
"Whatever, just die." Now he was less excited and just wanted to win already. He continued to walk forward and rose his fist.
Eclipse looked above not paying attention at Kron and looked up at the hole as Kron got closer.
The Grimm looked at Kron. "S-sorry… Friend."
That made Kron stop and confused him, this thing wasn't done talking.
Eclipse didn't want to do this, he wanted to end this as they are, without any help. But his father, he remembered how much he cried as he died as a human infant.
How his mother begged him to survive, that his father was going to need him.
He won't let his father get hurt anymore.
"Can't"… Play… Fair" Eclipse spoke with great struggle.
Kron tilted his head. "What?"
Eclipse with his one wing jumped using all his remaining strength to get away.
Ozpin aimed a hand forward, a green KI ball formed, he knows Kron will not like this, but he couldn't let the creature get away. He was about to fire.
But as Eclipse jumped, he let out a loud scream.
It was so loud that Team RWBY and the huntsman had to cover their ears and close their eyes.
Kron yelled as he fell to one knee stunned by the scream.
He watched as the one-winged Grimm got out from the hole of the arena.
Kron growled as the scream continued, with what little energy he had left he jumped in pain, as injured as he was, he really wanted to be the one to finish the fight!
Meanwhile Team RWBY and the huntsman were still trying to cover their ears.
"Kron wait!" Yang yelled and flew upward while still holding her ears. But she stopped when she saw her sister in pain. Protective as ever Yang descended to Ruby and wanted to ensure her sister.
But she and Blake were hoping that Kron would be alright.
Although given what they seen, it felt like a fact saying that he would be.
He was the strongest, they knew that.
Kron followed Eclipse out of Dead End Arena and flew above the café that it was hidden under. He landed on top of the Beowolf Brew and yelled as he fell to his knees.
He was pushing his body too far, his vision swam, he could see it darkening. He hadn't felt this much discomfort since Bertilak, no this was even worse.
He looked up and sees the Grimm floating with one wing.
Kron forced himself on his feet refusing to look weak before his opponent. He was ending this now!
But the Saiyan noticed something.
Out in the distance he can see masses of darkness surrounding the skies and ground around the café.
Grimm, hordes of them.
Good thing Garnet chose her Arena far from Vale.
Though that didn't exactly comfort Kron, in this state even a pack of beowolves could kill him. Damn it, if only he didn't play with that wretched hag.
No even if he did, he still would be damaged heavily.
Kron looked around at the packs of Nevermore, Beowolves, Ursa surrounding the building.
But to his surprise none were heading for him.
They were heading to the Mutant Grimm.
Eclipse didn't want this, he found his first friend and wanted to play fair. But he had no choice, he couldn't die, he didn't want his father hurt again.
The monster let out many tentacles out of his body and they connected to several Grimm surrounding him and pulled it close to his body.
Kron watched the display wondering why the packs weren't attacking him. But looked astonished as the Grimm started piling on Eclipse forming a giant black blob floating in the sky. It it unleashed tentacles pulling in several Grimm in the air and the ground making it bigger and bigger.
As he watched he debated what to do.
Should he fire ki at it?
No, he has very little of it left.
Should he fly into it and kill the Grimm at the side.
No, he didn't know what would happen if he attacked the blob physically.
All he could do was watch and figure something out.
And to his horror, the black mass of Grimm started to take shape.
Two masses of black were pushed at the side.
They became solid revealing black arms with Grimm bone armor at the knuckles, the back of the hands and the forearms.
Then two larger masses formed at the bottom, forming legs, with three Grimm claws at the bottom of each leg. Bone armor at the shin and spikes on the knees.
And now a torso was forming, it had the same bone rib armor the mutant had in the form Kron saw, and larger bone shoulder pads with two spikes on each pad.
And large Nevermore wings grew at the back.
Finally, the head it was the same mask the monster had in its normal size, still trident shaped only now the mask covered the entire face with three spikes at the bottom.
This creature had called and combined with a horde of Grimm to form this colossus, it stood twice as tall as the building Kron was on, beneath the broken moon that his trident shape mask seemed to be pointing up to.
Eclipse felt whole again, more than whole, now he was the size of a Leviathan but far more powerful. He combined with enough Grimm to overtake a city. He felt bad doing this, but it had to be done.
With his knew mask he looked down at Kron who was silent this entire time, it was over, playtime was over. He wished he could have played with his new friend longer, but it was time to end this.
Kron looked up at the gigantic Grimm and thought of what brought him here. His hunt for Raven, reuniting with Blake, his deal with Yang, sparing the hag, and finally meeting this beast.
Not too long ago he felt like the most powerful on Remnant that nothing could ever put him down.
Now he felt compelled to say one thing as he stared up at the titan Grimm.
"I am going to die."
The reborn son of Dr. Merlot has already proven to be the strongest Kron has ever fought.
But now he has shown an ability that truly makes him a colossal threat.

What I wanted to do with Eclipse was to make something sorta like Cell's origin, with fat buu's personality only with unyielding loyalty to his creator. Or father should I say.

I'm glad you liked the first ever beam struggle of the story. Yep Renewal was Raven's saving grace and her prep work was effective.
Yeah, see Raven knew that without the Jar, it was basically over. She learned the hard way to never underestimate Kron, which was why she wanted more time before dealing with him. The reason she sped things up was because she was worried he'd kill Yang if he couldn't get to her. I think well know that Kron wouldn't really do that after forming that bond with her, so the funny thing is, if Raven gave into her fear and ran away from Kron she probably could've avoided him for the rest of her life.
Yeah, how Renewal works is it only heals what's already there. If there's no arm, it can't heal it, all it can do is close the wound.
It was close, Eclipse was equal to Kron and he may have been damaged but his experience and better skill kept him in the fight. Although now, he might be in trouble.
Sad for the others and Kron himself, he refuses to accept any help, now though he may need to swallow his pride now that Eclipse has become a gigantic monster.
If only the God Of Darkness didn't break the damn moon lol.
Well now you know, Dr. Merlot basically merged his infant's son's corpse with Grimm DNA, all with Salem's help. Now he has another chance at life and he's having fun with it.
Yeah the silver eyes didn't work comepletely it was like a little spark of it, which is why she didn't go unconscious like in VOL 3, but things might get interesting if people point it out to her.

In my opinon, he would find Goku annoying but not as much as Vegeta and enjoy fighting him. Vegeta he'd probably respect due to his royalty. ChiChi, he'd be amused by her anger but really like her food. Bulma he would probably ask her for a gravity chamber. Gohan he'd probably liked to talk history with him since he's a scholar. Piccolo he'd be ok with him, though he prefers people who talk a lot.
And yeah, ChiChi would definitely be hitting him with her frying pan lol.

So kron is low tier DB at this point so he'd be destroyed. Imagine how strong Kid Goku would have gotten without any teachers. He still would be strong but not as much as he would have with Master roshi and everyone else. So Old King Piccolo would destroy him.

And to answer your question, I feel like I had written two arcs since Chapter 21.
So Chapter 21 to Chapter 40, I think I'll call The Raven Hunt Saga, since that's what his main focus had been for awhile even though near the end he took his time so he can have his rematch with Raven in the arena. And it ends with him making his deal with Yang to make a game out of Raven's life.
Chapter 41 to now, will be called... I guess The Deal Saga, since it focuses on Kron making Yang as strong as possible and how he's following on his agreement with Yang and Ozpin and how others react to the agreement. Eh not sure about that name, if anyone can coould come up with a better name feel free to share.
