Hey guys!

I hope everyone had a happy new year and you'll enjoy the chapter.

This one's a little longer, have to be to because a lot was going on and I wanted a specific ending to the chapter that I think everyone will love.

We're not far from the finale of the arc.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

Opening Act

Ozpin was flying as fast as he could towards where he believed the battle would take place.

Both Qrow and Taiyang had explained Raven's plan.

That she was preparing for midnight to lure Kron into a fight where they would seal him away.

With that amount of time, they were allowing Kron to choose their battlefield.

And there was only one place he'd want it.

Midnight already passed, he may have gotten Ki, but he still wouldn't be fast enough to interfere in the battle.

And even if he did, he doubted he could save Kron from Jade's Jar.

He remembered the price of that jar. Jade had created that jar to turn on Salem. But she hid the true price of it to keep it shut.

But in Kron's case, it doesn't need to be closed for long.

He doubted Team RWBY would allow him to do this himself even if he demanded it.

And knowing Raven they will not be enough.

They need help.

He won't reach the Dead-End Arena, but there's someone who would make it before he does.

Once he arrived near a gas station, he landed next to it and walked inside.

The Headmaster walked to the cashier who seemed to recognize him but he didn't have time for pleasantries.

"May I borrow your scroll?"

Hopefully, she will make the difference needed.

In a white Void, there were jade-colored gems surrounding four corners of the 'room'.

These gems had silver chains that were connected and wrapped around someone.

"Wake up you brat!"

Kron awoke angrily shook hearing someone call him that. He turned to whoever said that and saw something peculiar.

He couldn't move, he looked at his arms, they were wrapped in chains, along with his legs and neck.

And there was something else, someone was next to him, though he was floating.

"Hey guys, he's here!" The man shouted.

Kron didn't recognize the man, he didn't look at all like anyone he recognized. He was dressed like a savage living out in the wilderness.

Wait.

Just then multiple men and women appeared, all glaring at him with viciousness.

"Remember us you little shit!"

"We're here because of you!"

"You ruined everything!"

Kron listened to them, from what he saw there were only a dozen of them, the way they spoke, how they dressed.

Ah, yes, they were the Branwen Tribe.

"It's your fault our tribe went to shit! Now we're stuck in here with you!"

Kron rolled his eyes and focused on his surroundings, he was wrapped in chains, strong ones he couldn't just break.

The Saiyan wondered how he got here but remembered immediately.

The hag! That Jar! Is he inside the jar? He remembered feeling his whole body pulled towards it.

"What is this?" Kron asked looking around. "What are you weaklings doing here?"

"Idiot monkey!" One tribe member spoke which Kron resisted to lash out. "Were inside the jar, we were made into sacrifices to capture you!"

That made sense.

"The hag used her tribe as sacrifices?" He asked finding some humor in this as he looked around. "Where's Vernal, her ex Bootlicker down here?" That explains how she knew he was training Yang.

"No, everyone but her, she got away somehow." He said but grinned at Kron. "But it's not all bad, we get to watch you die."

"Pfft" Being used to breaking out of anything anyone has ever tried to lock him up in Kron starts to seriously try to break out.

But the chains were strong, too strong like they were indestructible.

"Ahhh!" The spirits of the Branwen Tribe screamed.

Kron noticed this too, the more he pulled the chains the more in pain the Branwen Tribe seemed to be despite being spirits.

"You little shit! Just stay trapped and die!"

The Saiyan chuckled and pulled the chains he was trapped in.

And the spirits screamed louder in pain.

While he was enjoying hearing the scream of this whiney pathetic tribe he still had to escape somehow.

"Just you wait hag, I-" He stopped talking all of sudden, rather he couldn't.

His eyes widened. There's no air? Did he use up the oxygen he took with him just to talk?

The Branwen Tribe spirits all laughed, noticing this.

Kron immediately started pulling at the chains that had trapped him, thus causing more and more pain to the tribe.

Not that it mattered to him, he needed to get out of whatever this was.

He was not going to die like this!

Raven was not going to kill him like this!

He pulled and pulled, more pain was inflicted on the tribe as he did.

Being a Saiyan he can last longer without oxygen than humans, but he still needs to breathe.

He had to get out.

Kron looked up at what seemed like the top of the jar that Raven somehow trapped him in, he could see outside of it.

As he grits his teeth and tries to break free he couldn't help but see what was going on on the outside.

Dead End Arena

The Jar was being held up before Raven's face.

"Kron, I never wanted this." She said to the jar. "I wanted to find a way to resolve everything peacefully, but the moment you went after my daughter and used her as your pawn was the moment I knew that I had no choice."

She looked over at Yang whose mask had fallen during the brief skirmish. The distraught look she had hurt her more than she liked to admit.

But she didn't know the boy like she did.

The former bandit looked around seeing where she was. "Dead End Arena, you always loved attention Kron, one trait I tried to cure you of." Thinking back there were times when he was angry when she diverted her attention to Vernal instead of him, very childlike considering how beastly he was.

Raven focused back at the jar with a genuinely sad look.

"I'm sorry." She said as she looked over at Yang who seemed confused at what happened.

Yang looked at Raven and focused on the jar.

"What is that thing?"

"The answer to our problem," Raven explained showing Jade's Jar. "Now he's not a threat to anyone, no one has to die now."

The blonde looked at the jar trying to wrap her brain around what it was. She squeezed her teeth and gritted her teeth. "He's trapped inside?"

Raven nodded. "Yes, and rightfully so, this was the only way-" She stopped as she noticed something from the side.

A blade with a ribbon on it, the former bandit grabbed the blade before it could wrap around the jar.

"Not bad." The mother of Yang glanced to see Blake standing not far behind her. "I almost didn't detect your presence." She said as she let go of the ribbon.

Blake pulled back Gambrol Shroud and aimed her gun at Raven.

"What have you done to him? What is that thing?"

Raven looked at Blake for a few seconds. "I've seen your mother, you look a lot like her."

"Don't talk about my family." She said to her. "What happened to Kron? What did you do to him?"

The bandit looked at her and around her to see the others including Summer's Daughter, the heiress, and the robot girl and her partner.

"It's a long story, all you need to know is that this jar has him trapped and it won't let him out anytime soon." Raven gestured to the jar looking all around her.

Yang looked at the jar, wondering if he was in pain and how it was even real, her eyes started turning red.

"It took a lot of work, but now he's trapped and unable to do a thing," Raven said smiling and glancing at the cat Faunus.

Blake aimed her weapon at her.

"Why are you so angry at me? You should be happy that he's trapped, he can't hurt your family anymore."

She grits her teeth at her angrily.

"Stand down Blake."

The black cat turned to Sienna walking by Raven's side.

"This was the best outcome we could ask for," Sienna said.

"What? You said that we'd leave him alone." She said to her and glared at Raven. "And she was the one who orchestrated the whole incident!"

Sienna looked at Raven who had a straight look on her face.

"It's true," She said looking back at Blake. "But while Raven had caused the Menagerie Incident, the actions he has done have given humanity more motivation to oppress us, not too long ago I freed an entire prison yard of Monkey Faunus that was going to work to death in the Schnee Mines, all because humans fear him, stopping him is the lesser evil."

She explained while crossing her arms and looking at the jar.

Blake was about to retort but before she could Weiss landed next to her.

"I can assure you that I will shed light on their innocence." Weiss offered. "Just release him."

Sienna eyed the heiress and immediately recognized her. "I know better than to trust a Schnee." She said as her eyes started to glow red for a few seconds.

Weiss felt a sense of uneasiness seeing her glare at her.

"I'm amazed how many of you Kron has fooled," Raven said to them. "I suppose he picked that up from me."

"Raven Branwen"

The Spring Maiden turned to see Penny aiming a sword at her along with the brown-haired woman with tufts.

"You are to be brought in to the authorities, and must have hand over the device you used to capture the Scourge of Anima."

Raven glanced at Penny and Sepia. She looked at Sepia who seemed conflicted.

"Hand me the jar!"

The former bandit turned to Yang who had her hand out, she looked at her.

"If he gets out I will die," Raven replied.

"I'll give you time to get away, just give me the jar." Yang offered seriously, she didn't even want her dead in the first place. She just tried to accept that Raven has done too much that can be excused.

Raven looked at her daughter, the amount of trust in him is ridiculous. She also looked at her teammates scattered around. Kali's daughter was aiming her weapon at her, while the Heiress stood by her side and Summer's daughter was next to her.

Three of them were not much compared to most here. The only concern would be her daughter with Kron's power. Still, the four of them being on the same side is a problem for her, even with Sienna, especially the off chance that she loses control due to her armor.

She eyed Taiyang and Qrow were still incapacitated from Kron's assault.

If any of them break the Jar he could escape.

It was best to minimize risk as much as possible, looking at Sepia Raven saw a way to ensure that things ended her way.

She looked back at Penny and Sepia.

"You do realize this may be our only chance to stop him right?" She asked focused on Sepia. "Do you want to risk opening the jar?"

Penny didn't falter but Sepia did.

"You with the brown hair, you have a grudge against me." She said to her. "But I think it's more linked to the Scourge isn't it?" She asked Sepia. "If they manage to open the jar during a free-for-all, he will break free, and if that happens, do you think you can capture him?"

Sepia hated Raven, she may not have been the one who killed her husband, but she did lead the raid against her home. And brought him to end her husband.

Raven Branwen needed to face justice and so did the Scourge.

But the Scourge was the bigger threat, and seeing him fight off multiple powerful opponents shows that he cannot be captured alive.

Sepia looked at the huntresses in training who seemed willing to open the jar. If she attacks Raven it gives him a chance to break free.

And she could not allow that.

The Owl Faunus sheathed her weapon and walked to Raven.

"Sepia?" Penny asked with concern.

Sepia glared at Raven and asked. "He can't get out?"

"Not as long as the jar is intact." She explained. "He doesn't even need to stay trapped for long."

That made Yang's eyes widen. "What why?"

Raven stared at Yang and could see the fear in her eyes. Fear for him.

"He's going to die?" Blake asked looking at Raven. "That's it isn't it?"

The former bandit said nothing but stared at Blake for a few seconds and then back to her daughter.

"It's the only way," Raven said to them. "I'm sorry." For them and him.

Yang squeezes her hands so hard that her knuckles turn white.

Blake glared with gritted teeth at the idea of losing someone after being gone for so long.

The Owl Faunus wanted to vomit doing this. She hated Raven Brawnwen, but she was not the biggest threat. This opportunity may never come again. "When this is over, your next."

Raven nodded knowing that she was one of the victims of her raids.

Sepia stood next to Sienna who nodded to her and turned to Penny.

"Penny, come."

Penny wasn't sure what to think. "But we can't work with Raven, she-"

"I know!" Sepia yelled. "But is there anything Atlas has that can restrain him?"

Penny's eyes glowed with multiple databases to answer the question.

"As of now we lack the means, however, my father is working on it." She reasoned. "Also General Ironwood's orders were to capture or neutralize the Scourge of Anima."

"And he's captured" She replied. "We should keep it that way, correct?"

Penny thought of that and looked at team RWBY, mainly her friend Ruby.

"Penny, don't, this isn't right." She said to her.

Penny wanted to agree, this didn't sit right with her, though her programming told her that this was the best solution. The Scourge was stronger than they prepared for. With sadness, she walked to Raven and stood by Sepia's side.

Raven smirked, it worked, now it was confirmed that Kron would remain sealed. She stared at Team RWBY.

"Leave this be, you have no chance of releasing him now."

Ruby didn't know Kron as well as Blake or Yang, but she knew enough to know that he didn't deserve this, not after he saved half her team. She brought out her scythe and stared at Raven.

Weiss was in the same boat, actually a bit different since, he did attack her sister, she hated him from the day she discovered him. But he shed some light on how the Atlas media is heavily biased against Faunus, not to mention she discovered the scar on Blake's friend's face. And of course, he saved her life, she was going to return the favor.

Blake raised her blade with animosity in her face. She remembered when she was a kid meeting Kron for the first time. He was a jerk from day one, but he had his good moments. On the last day together he looked like he was opening up to her, using that trick with his Ki, and saving her from that Lancer on the beach. And saved her again from that green-haired guy. Now she was going to save him.

Yang's eyes turned blood red and gripped her fists. She remembered the first time she met Kron, how she hated him for being raised by Raven while she wasn't. But then during their deal, she discovered that her mother was not who she hoped she'd be. Being raised by Raven was more of a burden. And she met someone who loved fighting as much as her, maybe more. She felt a kinship with him as she trained under him. He made her stronger than ever and he was another victim of Raven, just in a different way.

Team RWBY stood before Raven's temporary alliance.

Immediately Ruby, Weiss, and Blake charged after Raven in an attempt to take the jar.

But Penny jumped in the way to catch Ruby's scythe with her hand, she also grabbed her by the shoulder and rocketed away to another section of the ring while avoiding damaging her despite her protest.

Sienna jumped in the way of Weiss and cut through an ice sent by her glyph, she then kicked her stomach sending her away, and ran towards her.

Blake swung Gambrol Shroud towards Raven's hand holding the jar.

Only for her blade to be blocked by Sepia's sword, she then used her Semblance to fire a light beam which sent her skidding away. Sepia ran towards her.

The three members of Team RWBY were at different parts of the ring while Raven and Yang were in the middle.

"Give me the jar now!" Yang yelled getting her fists up.

"I was hoping that you were acting out of fear Yang," Raven said to her. "Do you really want to release this monster?"

Yang grits her teeth and throws her fists back riding a wave of her shotgun gauntlets.

She tossed a fist towards her face.

And Raven simply moved to the side and let her go past her.

"Do you want your mother dead that badly?"

She turned and put up her fists.

"My mom's already dead."

Raven's eyes widened hearing that and thought of Summer. She remembered watching from a window as a bird, little Yang being brought up by Summer. She even remembered her calling her mama.

She closed her eyes in shame remembering what she had given up.

"I know," Raven admitted as she placed the jar at her hip and pulled out her sword with a light blue blade.

Yang took her fighting position as well eyeing the jar, but she shook it off she had to focus if she was going to take it.

She remembered her fight against Adam, he might not fight with the same style but her last fight with him should give her some idea how to handle another sword user.

Yang dashed forward with her Ki ready to charge at her.

Once she was close to striking distance Raven slashed the ground in front of Yang, creating an ice wall.

The blonde punched the ground releasing a shotgun burst close to where her ice wall was and floated above Raven.

Raven jumped back as Yang punched the metal ring creating a crack in the middle.

The bandit couldn't help but be proud of how clever she was, though she doubted this was Kron's training. Must be Ozpin's.

Yang ran forward and threw a punch.

Raven raised an arm to block the strike, but she saw at the last second she was pulling her fist back.

The blonde threw a punch with her other arm aiming for her face.

The black-haired woman ducked and struck with the back of her blade at the blonde's boots.

Yang was surprised and was frozen in place.

Raven then jumped back and fired lightning at her sending her skidding back.

Yang gritted her teeth and stood her ground as lightning scattered around her.

The brunette growled, she was hoping that would stun her, clearly Kron's power was more potent than she expected.

Yang's blood-red eyes focused on Raven, she was using the force of her attacks to power her up. She threw herself towards Raven.

The blonde threw multiple punches at Raven, some were feints that even caught Kron off guard, but Raven's experience showed as she evaded her strikes.

Raven swayed one fist and struck with the back of her blade coating the arm in ice.

She shook with cold.

And Raven then put a hand on her head, she was going to freeze her whole body.

But Yang was quick when she used her free hand to fire a Ki blast at the ground.

That pushed the mother back a few steps.

And Yang used that chance to throw a punch to her cheek.

It landed and sent her skidding back.

Once Raven stopped she turned to face her showing a line of blood coming out of her mouth.

This strength was extraordinary for a mere student, she was stronger than Kron was in their last fight. Clearly, he trained her to the brink to reach this level.

Yang dashed forward to throw another punch.

But Raven moved her head to avoid it.

And can see Yang use her other hand not to punch but to grab the jar hanging at her belt.

Using wind magic she pushed Yang off of her before she could touch it.

Yang growled, she almost had it, she was more than Kron described her.

Raven glared at Yang while wiping the blood off of her face. She can't stay on defense, if she was going to keep Kron trapped she was going to have to fight back "Remember Yang, what happens next, is because of him."

Raven ran forward intent on fighting her daughter.

While Yang was more than prepared to fight her to save her friend.

Blake blocks a sword from her opponent, the brown-haired woman Sepia.

She was glaring at him, and her tufts of hair seemed to be acting like eyebrows making her look even scarier.

"I don't get it, you're a huntress!" She yelled. "Why are you siding with Raven?"

Sepia simply threw a kick at Blake's side.

And the kick seemed to make her vanish upon contact.

From above Blake tried to strike with Gambrol Shroud.

And Sepia saw it coming and blocked it with her blade.

Blake's eyes widened, she wasn't even struggling, not even trying.

"I'm not siding with Raven," Sepia said in a disgusted tone. "I'm simply choosing the lesser evil." She pushed her blade.

Her crusader armor was so strong she was pushed back to the edge of the metal ring.

The Owl Faunus wasn't even trying and thought this was cruel, but this child needed to be kept away, she was a rogue type like her so it was possible she could take the jar without Raven's notice. Not to mention she seems to have the most experience among the others.

"The Scourge is too dangerous, we cannot capture him with normal means." She said to her.

"Please" Blake pleaded. "I know he's a criminal but he's better than you think, I promise, my father's the chief of Menagerie, he can vouch for him!" She's sure that her father will be of some help.

Sepia glared at her. "You know him you say? Did you know him when he murdered my husband?"

Blake's eyes widened hearing that."He what?"

"Yes, when he was a young boy, he killed my husband." She said looking at her weapon. "He was a good man, defending his village from the Branwen Tribe, only for the monster to come and murder him." She remembered the boy Kron smiling with his face covered in his blood. "Tell me do you think, someone like that should roam free? With no consequences?"

Blake knew that Kron was a murderer before he met her and her mother. It was only because he met them that he started to change according to him.

"I" She wanted to defend him but struggled to. Then she remembered that village he protected, he did it on a whim, but it showed that he wasn't the same person anymore. With resolve, she stood up and charged at Sepia.

With little effort, Sepia blocked the blade.

"You still fight for him?" She asked as she blocked the blade again with minimal speed and pushed her back.

The Cat Faunus held her weapon up staring at her. She was a victim of Kron, and her husband was. He killed before Adam even took such a strong stance against humanity. She thought who was she to blame her for wanting justice? But then she remembered what he did for her, almost died for her, he saved a village with nothing to gain.

"I'm sorry," Blake said to her. "But he's different now, he has the right to be given a chance to change, everyone does." The Cat Faunus rose Gambrol Shroud determined to fight for him as she promised. "And I'm going to fight so he has that chance."

Sepia looked at Blake for a few moments, she was affected by it. Truthfully she agreed with it, she gave the Scourge a chance to surrender and pay his dues. But he didn't and has proven too strong to capture.

The Scourge was someone who could not be afforded another chance, it was too great of a risk.

"I'm sorry for what he's done," Blake said to her. "But I know that he's changing, I'll help him go on the right path!" She yelled as she vanished showing a clone.

Blake ran off towards Raven who was fighting Yang. She aimed her gun at the jar at Raven's hip.

But before she could she felt her arm freeze, she turned to see Sepia aiming her blade turn into a crossbow.

"I'm sorry but that's not going to happen," Sepia said walking towards Blake.

The Cat Faunus's cat ears beneath her bow flattened.

She wasn't sure how but she was going to get to Raven and free him.

Sepia glared at Blake, such a foolish child who didn't understand the kind of monster he was.

Blake stood up with her blade held up ready to fight for her brother.

Weiss had grown up always believing the White Fang were monsters who lashed out whenever Faunus were not acknowledged as superior. It was how her father described them while she was growing up and she believed it considering it led to a not-ideal childhood.

Discovering Adam's scar made her realize that there was a reason the White Fang did the actions they did.

But looking at the bloodthirsty Faunus in front of her made her think there were some monstrous members in the White Fang.

Sienna swung a claw at her which seemed to be more Grimm than Faunus claws.

Weiss blocked with a white Glyph only to be pushed back.

"Typical Schnee," She said as fangs grew out and walked towards the terrified Weiss. "You finally fight on behalf of a Faunus, one whose actions give you cause to oppress the rest of our kind." Her eyes glowed red and she swung her chain blade.

The heiress stood up and held up her blade. "I assure you that I am only fighting for what's right."

Sienna swung her chain blade, it struck the ground in front with a first tip creating an explosion and sending her rolling across the ring to the edge. The Tigeress had no intention of killing her despite what the more extreme members of the White Fang would take the chance. But the Abyss Hide was starting to make it all the more tempting.

Weiss realized she needed to bring out her best now. She raised her sword and a giant glyph appeared behind. A giant white knight walked out, her Arma Gigas had arrived.

And this did not scare the Tiger Faunus at all.

The ice knight charged at Sienna, its immense size and strength threatening to overpower her. But Sienna is quick on her feet, gracefully dodging the knight's strikes.

Sienna's eyes narrow as she prepares her next move. With a swift motion, she brandishes her weapon, a deadly whip adorned with fiery Dust crystals. The whip crackles with electric energy as Sienna lashes out at Weiss, the loud cracks echoing throughout the arena.

With one swing the Arma Gigas had a huge scratch across its chest pushing it back much to Weiss's surprise.

The only people that she's seen push her Giga Armas back was Yang after being trained with Ki and Kron himself. She never thought that she'd meet someone else this strong!

The giga armas slashed down its giant blade.

But Sienna jumped while using her chain to wrap around the giant blade, she then kicked across its head making the giant knight stumble back. The combination of her Grudge Semblance with the Abyss Hide made her physically dominant over the giant soldier.

The Tigress landed in front of the Schnee, she then pulled her chain forward.

Her chain was wrapped around the sword and with that mighty pull, the sword cut into its helmet and cleaved it in half.

Weiss was shaking and stared at the Tiger Faunus in front of her, she seemed to be growing black fur coming from her armor at her chest.

"Do you want to run little Schnee?" Sienna asked walking closer and showing her fangs.

The heiress back peddled and raised her blade as four white glyphs appeared above her.

Ice crystals were fired from them towards her.

Without much effort, Sienna swung her chain blade to cut threw the ice crystals as she ran towards her.

The Tigress grabbed Weiss by the neck and slammed her on the ground.

She then stomped her prosthetic leg on top of her stomach making her gag.

"How does it feel to be beneath a Faunus's heel for once?" She asked glaring down at her.

Weiss didn't respond and struggled to try to push her cybernetic foot off of her feeling it crush her stomach.

The Schnee pulled out a vial with Lightning Dust in it and she slammed it against her robotic leg.

Sienna was forced off her leg and the electricity forced her off.

Weiss was struggling, her white Aura was showing.

That was stupid but at least she got her to stop, she thought she'd crush her ribs.

She picked up Myrtenaster and looked at Sienna hoping that incapacitated her.

To her horror, Sienna stood up again looking ready to fight.

Weiss held up her weapon she wasn't going to back away, not from the White Fang and not from her friends.

Ruby had her scythe and looked at her opponent with trepidation.

"Ruby" Penny said sadly. "Please tell your friends to stand down."

"No Penny!" She yelled. "Please you need to help us! You can't take Raven's side!"

Penny didn't want to but according to her programming capturing the Scourge of Anima is a top priority at all costs. Even if Ironwood was able to contact them, he would likely give the order to keep that jar from opening.

"I'm sorry Ruby, please stop, I won't hurt you."

Ruby tried to use her Semblance and swung her scythe only sticking with the back of it not wanting to hurt her.

But all that happened was Penny was blocking each strike with her bare hands not even using her swords.

The Team Leader was shocked at how easily Penny was fighting her off. She felt like a beowolf trying to attack a Goliath.

"Ruby you need to stop," Penny said still refusing to fight back and sticking to defending. "The Scourge of Anima is too dangerous to let loose."

"I can't!" Ruby yelled. "He saved two of my teammates, he protected Vale from the White Fang!" She yelled.

Penny squeezed her hands hearing her say that, she wanted to believe her, wanted to fight by her side. But her protocol wouldn't allow it, also Sepia would never forgive her if she helped her. She remembered the story she told her, how evil he was as a child.

"No, I can't." She said to her. "It is against protocol."

Ruby looked at Raven still fighting Yang and could see the jar from where she was. She stabbed the scythe in the ground and tried to snipe the jar that was at her hip hoping to free him or at least make it fall.

But of course, Penny grabbed the scythe and swiped it from her.

The hooded huntress in training fell on her back and looked to see Penny holding a crescent rose, she felt like it was an insult that she held her baby. But she hid it and had to focus on the goal. It wasn't to win, it was to free Kron.

"Ruby your friends will be safe just call them off please." Penny pleaded.

Ruby did not listen and used her Semblance to speed past Penny.

But the android saw it coming grabbed the girl by her arm and kept her in place.

"Let me go!" She yelled as Penny listened and Ruby stepped away from her.

"Ruby, I do not understand, why do you want to free him?" She asked. "Do you know his crimes? Do you know who he is?"

Ruby stopped moving for a few seconds, she wasn't wrong. She can't say that she was friends with Kron, but she thought it was possible in time. And she's also family to Blake and Yang's friend even if all this started with him wanting to use her sister as bait for Raven.

"Penny!" She shouted. "I know that he's done wrong, but without him, a lot of people would have been hurt! He even protected us!"

Penny heard all she said and wanted to help her but she knew better, she had to do what needed to be done. It was her directive, her purpose.

"Listen!" Ruby yelled desperate to break free from Penny's grip. "We're friends, right? Friends need to trust each other, believe me when I say siding with Raven is way worse than siding with Kron!" She yelled. "All Raven does is lie, use people, and throw them away when she's done! You and your friend will be next if you side with her a lot more people will be hurt if you side with her."

Penny heard all she said and looked at Raven. She was notorious for leading the Branwen Tribe and murdering innocent people. With the Scourge on her side, she looked over at her partner.

Sepia was having a one-sided fight against the Cat Faunus but without any lethal force.

Sienna was dominating the fight against Ruby's friend, Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the Schnee Dust Corporation.

General Ironwood wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

"Ruby, I" She was following her programming, but something in her wanted to go against it. "How do we know if this is the right thing to do?"

Ruby stopped moving and spoke. "Of the two of them Kron has done good, Raven hasn't." She didn't know what else to say, she just hoped that Penny would listen.

Penny thought of that but kept a tight grip on Ruby, she couldn't she shouldn't. Right?

Yang threw a fist toward Raven.

She raised an arm to block it but grimaced affected by the force of the blow.

The blonde then spun a kick trying to hit her side.

It struck her side and made her body tilt.

Raven grabbed the leg and began to freeze it.

But Yang saw it coming and slammed her head against Raven.

Her mother was stunned and stumbled back.

Yang gripped her head in pain, she usually doesn't do headbutts, she must've picked that up from Kron.

And she threw a fist aiming for her stomach.

Raven was punched in the stomach, it was hard enough to force her to keel over.

Her daughter then reached for the jar again.

The brunette grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the side.

She pinned her to the ground while holding her arms to the ground forcing her on the ground.

Yang yelled as she tried to break free from the hold.

"I know how your Semblance works," Raven explained. "Your power may be great because of Kron but as long as I don't attack you, you can't get stronger."

Yang yelled even louder hearing that.

"Just give up, it's probably too late for him anyway." She said thinking it's been a few minutes since he lost oxygen.

"You better hope it's not!" She yelled as her hair glowed a firey red and her eyes became red. "And don't talk like you know me!" She broke free of Raven's pin and tried to uppercut with her left.

Only for Raven to avoid it at the last second and raise her arm releasing a fireball.

The attack hit and sent Yang rolling away, she dragged a hand to the ground to stop. She glared at her mother, her Semblance fueling her with all the strength she'd been hit with, and it was increasing her Ki increasing her power even further. If she keeps this up, she has to keep pushing and keep getting stronger if she wants to save Kron.

She threw herself towards Raven intent on using her new strength.

Raven put her blade in its sheath and this time pulled out a yellow lightning Dust blade.

Yang threw attack after attack changing her rhythm as much as possible like Ozpin had taught her.

But because of Raven's experience, she was able to either dodge or block them all. But not without great effort, her daughter was making her a Maiden struggle.

Raven tried to use her blade to strike a nonvital point, but Yang blocked it with her gauntlet.

Yang grits her teeth glaring at Raven and throws a straight left.

Only for Raven to use her free hand to catch it and struggle while doing so.

The mother and daughter were in a stalemate unable to push the other back.

Yang looked at the others who were preoccupied with their battles. There wasn't enough time, she needed to get the jar now.

Otherwise, he can die.

"Give me the jar and I'll give you time to run!" She yelled. "I'll even talk to him, maybe convince him to stop going after you!"

Raven could hear the angry desperation, she did care for him. Just like she does. "I'm sorry, but that can't be done."

Yang growled as she opened the palm that Raven was holding.

Seeing it coming, Raven kneed her hand forcing the Ki to blast upward, she then struck up Yang's body covering her in electricity as a long slash went across her abdomen.

Yang gripped her abdomen and saw lightning being fired at her.

She jumped as it struck the ground and floated above looking down to see Ruby being restrained, Weiss on the ground and Blake struggling to fight back against that brown-haired lady.

"Thinking of getting help?"

Yang turned as Raven floated above in front of her with her arms crossed.

"Tell your sister that it's over." She said to her. "Take your friends and leave, they don't need to get hurt anymore."

Yang squeezed her fists angrily, she won't, she can't. She thought of Kron how he's made her stronger, how he was a victim by Raven in a different way than she was. She wasn;t going to let him die like this.

She punched her fists together, if she was going to either knock her out or break the jar, she was going to have to use her technique.

A firey glow showed around her body, she was going to win, no matter what, she was going to free Kron. She focused her Ki ready to blast her technique.

But what if it doesn't land? Raven was faster than her. But what other chance does she have? And besides she really wanted to do some damage on Raven for leaving her father, never explaining why she left, and for hurting her new friend!

But then she remembered something Kron said.

'When you get angry you get sloppy.' That made her stop remembering his explanation. 'Anger when used right can provide a way to win.' She looked at Raven thinking of that. 'Use it like a weapon, use it as motivation to find a way to win, don't let it control you, control it instead.'

If she fired her attack now she'd miss, she needed to look for an opening, she wanted to save her friend more than wanting to hit her mother.

She stopped focusing her attack and sighed.

Raven was surprised to see her suddenly stop. Did she get through to her?

Yang sighed and thought of what to do, her hair glowing firey yellow, her blood-red eyes glaring.

She thought of their clashes so far and remembered how she attacked and how to counter them.

The blonde dashed towards Raven determined to free Kron.

Raven was disappointed, she was as stubborn as her father. With a pulled blade she slashed lightning in front to electrocute her.

This time Yang threw a fist but not to her, at the upcoming blade, and it struck perfectly into the flat of the blade.

The lightning Dust Blade not only pushed it back but shattering it much to Raven's surprise at such reflexes.

Yang then threw a fist straight for her face.

Raven ducked underneath but Yang raised a knee slamming up Raven's chin.

And the blonde threw a fist straight into Raven's face forcing her to stumble.

Raven looked at Yang's face and was terrified, she was angry but unlike before it was focused. It sharpened her thinking.

Yang threw another fist and this time she raised an arm to grab the fist. While using her other arm to pull out her sword.

And the mother tried to slash again with a fire Dust blade.

The blonde raised a hand capturing her sword cringing from the heat.

Jade's Jar

Kron was pulling at his restraints and could see the outside world. He can see Yang fighting better than she had even against her opponents in the arena.

He smiled watching her hold her own against Raven herself.

The Saiyan was surprised that she was trying to free him. As much as he hated to admit it, Ozpin and Blake were right. He got attached and vice versa again.

But while he does have pride in watching someone he trained doing well against his greatest enemy. The old hag was his prey!

And he won't allow the hag to avoid it any longer! He will get out and he will end all of this!

He pulled at his chains and flew upward.

The restraints were getting weaker and weaker.

"You stupid monkey stay still!" One of the dead Branwen Tribe members yelled.

Kron ignored as he noticed that whatever was restraining him was limited, he would get out.

And he will end this game!

Both her hands were occupied, she looked down at Raven's waist.

She kicked straight but not at her waist.

Raven looked panicked as the jar was kicked off her belt and was sent to the center of the arena.

And Yang used this distraction to toss Raven to the side, she then swung her fists back unleashing a shotgun blast, and sped up towards Kron's prison.

Her hand just touched the jar only for Raven to grab it at the last second.

"Damn it!" The blonde shouted as Raven flew back.

Raven panted, that was close, not only is she stronger than any normal huntsman, but she was also more skilled than any Beacon student. She felt a sense of pride knowing her daughter was this capable at such a young age.

"Taiyang and Qrow trained you well." Raven said to her daughter.

"Yeah all without your help!"

That stung her more than she wanted it to. "I know, Yang I-" She stopped as she felt her handshake. She looked at Jade's Jar and saw a slight crack at the edge. And it was shaking!

Jade's Jar

Kron can see a crack at the wall at the wall in front of him. He grinned, and Yang gave him an opening!

He flew forward the chains were starting to break and the spirits of the Branwen Tribe screamed.

Yes, the chains felt brittle and weak, he was going to be freed.

The chains on his right arm broke free and his right leg.

"Get ready hag!" He yelled. "You will choke on your own blood!" He yelled as he pushed forward.

Just a little more.

Raven looked terrified as Kron was going to burst free. That crack only made it easier. She needed to keep him locked away. She put her hand on the cracked edge of the jar.

Damn it she knew it, the fear in the Branwen Tribe was not enough to hold him back. Maybe she should have sacrificed Vernal.

She looked to see Yang charging at her again.

And she has to worry about her! She aimed her hand and fired ice magic at her.

Yang fired a Ki blast to make an explosion of light and ice crystals.

She threw a fist up close. Raven was struck across the face, and she tried to kick at her side.

But Raven evaded by flying back.

"You know Kron has a distaste for unfair fighting," Raven said as she evaded the attacks. "Don't you think he'd want you to wait until I can use my arms?"

"I do too." Yang glared at Raven. "But he'll get over it when he's free!" She yelled as she swung a hand firing a yellow Ki blast.

Her mother floated above as the blast missed and hit the top of the arena.

Raven couldn't continue like this, she needed another sacrifice. She kept her eyes on Yang who was chasing her for the jar while surveying the arena.

There was someone she knew who feared him almost as much as she did.

Blake was panting heavily, she was no match for her.

Sepia stood tall against the Cat Faunus. "Take your friends and leave, the Scourge must face justice."

"Killing him as he's turning a new leaf isn't justice!" She yelled aiming her weapon at her.

The Owl Faunus looked insulted hearing that.

"You're a spoiled girl, believing you know what's right and wrong, just because your father led the White Fang." She said to her walking forward.

Blake was surprised to hear that, her father's name wasn't public knowledge, she pulled the trigger firing multiple bullets at her.

Sepia slashed defecting bullets as she kept firing.

Once she was close Blake tried to slash across her shoulder.

Sepia raised a blade to block the slash.

The Cat Faunus tried to kick at her side.

It landed but it didn't do much because of the Crusader armor.

Sepia kicked back but it turned out to be a clone and shattered at the touch.

From the side, Blake slashed across her forehead.

That made the Owl Faunus stumble but it didn't even leave a wound.

Blake then shattered showing it was another clone and from Sepia's left another came with a slash at her midsection.

Sepia sidestepped the slash and held her hand down at the light shining on the arena, her Semblance pulled it out and threw it at Blake.

Blake rolled out of the way from the light and her leg froze from an arrow of ice. She tried to break free of the ice.

The Owl Faunus walked forward knowing that there was a clear gap between them.

"You know my parents were a part of the White Fang." She explained. "They believed in Faunus rights, but as soon as the White Fang became violent, they left the organization, they believed their actions were not justifiable."

Blake paused for a second. "Your parents? But you don't look-"

Sepia pointed at the top of her head. "Not every Faunus has an obvious trait." Her tufts raised a bit showing it wasn't just styled that way. "Your father was the right man to lead the White Fang, he took a peaceful stance on demanding Faunus equality, the right way instead of resorting to violence, you are a disgrace to the Belladonna name, siding with someone like Adam Taurus."

The Cat Faunus got angry but kept her cool knowing giving in to her emotions would get in the way.

"One problem with the White Fang they defend the actions of every Faunus. just like you defend his."

Blake yelled as she tried to slash at her shoulder.

Sepia again blocked it.

"You must hold all Faunus accountable for their actions, you must let him face the consequences of his actions."

The Cat Faunus looked at Raven who was struggling, she had to get to him! He might be dead already!

But as Raven dodged a strike from Yang a green light struck her back.

That shocked everyone in the arena and paused their fights.

Sepia wondered who among these students was capable of firing that, she was shocked at what she saw.

Penny stood next to Ruby who had her scythe up.

The Owl Faunus took her blade down and stared at Penny.

"What are you doing?" She asked her partner.

The Android looked sadly at Sepia. "Sepia, let's stop," She said to her.

"Putting an end to this monster?" She asked. "You know the mission, either capture or terminate him."

"He's saved the city and two students, we don't need to resort to siding with Raven." She said to her.

"He has to be punished for his actions! He brought this on himself!"

Penny shook her head. "No, he needs a fair trial, not an execution."

Sepia yelled as she threw herself at Penny.

The Android pulled her blades from her back and blocked the sword.

Ruby looked at Raven wanting to help her sister but she also saw Weiss unable to defend herself against Sienna.

Sienna lifted Weiss by her hair, she felt more and more bestial. She held up a clawed hand ready to cleave her in two.

But then a red blur appeared and the Schnee vanished before her eyes.

The tigress was confused and glared at who took her prey.

Ruby stood holding Weiss up.

Sienna charged aiming to murder the Schnee at all cost.

But before she could reach them Sepia was thrown into her with such great force that both slid across the ring.

Ruby turned to see Penny flying by Ruby with rockets at her boots. "Go help your friend Ruby! I can hold them off!"

"Penny wait!" The redhead shouted.

Blake landed next to her and looked at Ruby. "Come on, trust her, we need to save him!"

Above Raven was struggling and that laser to the back didn't help.

She turned to Sienna who with the brown-haired girl was fighting against Atlas's android. She must've malfunctioned.

Raven landed on the ground still trying to keep the jar closed.

Yang landed in front of her still ready to take the jar from her.

Then to add even more to her troubles her teammates came to her side all ready to free the Scourge of Anima.

Raven took a step back while glaring at her.

"Hand the jar over, now!" Blake yelled wanting to free her.

"Or else!" Yang yelled punching a hand into her palm.

Raven growled as she stared at all four of them.

First, she calmed down, she needed to get a sacrifice first then she could deal with them.

Just then two people jumped into the ring.

Taiyang and Qrow stood at her side, recovered after being knocked unconscious by Kron.

"Dad! Uncle Qrow!" Ruby yelled seeing them take their side. "Please don't do this! He's going to die!"

The duo was conflicted but they glanced at Raven and nodded though unsure if this was right.

"Keep them off of me, I need to keep the jar closed." She instructed.

The two looked at Yang and Ruby, they didn't want to do this. But they finally have a chance to seal away their greatest threat. The one that motivated Taiyang to rejoin Ozpin's circle. Only to be manipulated into thinking the girls were safe from them.

"Whatever Ozpin told you, is a lie," Taiyang said to them. "Don't do this, drop your weapons, let this be over."

Ruby and Yang looked distraught at their father and uncle.

Yang clenched her fists and flew towards Raven between them with her fist cocked back.

Taiyang got in the way and caught the fist in his hand.

Ruby and Blake fired bullets at Raven aiming for the jar.

Qrow deflected the blades with Harbinger in its longsword form.

Yang struggled in her father's grip. "Dad come on! Do you trust Raven over us? Please just help us save him!" She yelled in his face.

Taiyang looked saddened. "I'm sorry but it's Ozpin I don't trust." He said as let go of Yang and stood before her. "And you kept this from us." He then looked over at Ruby. "Both of you did not tell us about him being near you, you can't expect us to trust you."

Both Yang and Ruby looked down saddened to hear that.

"We can talk about this later." Blake interrupted. "It might be too late now, we have to save him now!" She yelled.

This reignited both Ruby and Yang, she was right. Kron needs their help now!

"Sorry kiddo," Qrow said holding up his blade.

Team RWBY charged at Qrow and Taiyang trying to get to Raven.

Raven looked around while keeping the jar shut as it shook.

Penny was doing her best against two opponents almost as strong as her.

Sepia gathered light from one of the spotlights above and slashed aiming to cut her.

Penny used one of her swords to cut the light slash in half.

Sienna swung her chain blade to wrap around her arm.

Penny was pulled to the side.

The Owl Faunus kicked across the Android's face forcing her to stumble.

And the Grimm like Sienna clawed across her stomach showing circuits and electricity.

That surprised the tigress, an android? She looked so real.

Sepia already knew it and tried to cut her wound.

Penny swiftly evaded and grabbed her to toss her aside.

She then turned to Sienna and used her blades to slash at her.

Sienna growled as she used her growing claws, and her chains to block and deflect the attacks to the side and backed away to get some distance.

Once she was far away Penny brightened her blades together to fire a powerful green laser towards Sienna.

The Grimm Tigeress flinched as the laser got closer and closer.

But the laser stopped as a floating robot sphere got in front of the laser.

The beam of light was absorbed into the sphere.

Penny's eyes widened watching her laser go inside the sphere.

Sepia walked next to Sienna and grabbed the sphere that used her Semblance. One of the perks of the Crusader Armor. She then lifted her sword, Ichtaka, and held the Sphere over the blade.

The blade became longer and became a green saber of light.

"Sepia stop! Please, this isn't you."

As much as Sepia wants to make the Scourge answer for his crimes, she always believed in the law above all else. To give all a chance to pay their debts and try to turn their life around. She would only kill those whom she had no choice.

"I'm sorry Penny." She said as she ran towards the Androids who became her friend.

"I am to." Penny said charging at the duo.

Penny swung her blades up to defend against the Faunus duo.

Sepia managed to cut through two of her blades with her light Dust blade and then tried to pierce into Penny's wound.

Penny was in shock watching as her comrade tried to destroy her.

But at the last second Sepia stopped unable to strike her down.

Sienna on the other hand tried to claw into the wounds.

Penny grabbed the hand and a blade struck her shoulder.

"Gah!" Sienna screamed as she landed on her back with a blade pinning her shoulder.

The Android turned to Sepia with her long light green blade.

The Owl Faunus was surprised that she didn't take the chance she could, she wanted to keep the Scourge from escaping but she couldn't bring herself to harm Penny.

"Sepia, let's-" She stopped talking as Sienna stood up and clawed through her right arm.

Penny was slammed to the ground, her right robotic arm shattered, and looked up at the tigress.

"You're not getting in my way!" Sienna roared with her red eyes. "This will be the last time Atlas will get in the way of the White Fang!" She yelled glaring down at Penny with a raised claw.

The Android stepped back actually terrified of what she was looking at. Her scanners analyzed that her body contained Grimm properties.

Sienna reared back a blackened grimm ready to strike down Atlas's newest toy.

Sepia raised a blade at her neck.

The tigress stopped and glanced at the brown-haired woman.

"Never mind her," She said to her and pointed at Raven. "We only need to keep them off of her, there's no need to harm her further."

Sienna glared at the woman who came out of nowhere but she fought her new destructive instincts, she was right they needed to-

Just then Penny's severed arm rose up and backhanded Sienna with great force.

The Owl Faunus was surprised to see the severed limb move on its own.

The Android stood up and aimed her cut-off arm at Sienna's back, it glowed green and unleashed a green laser on her back.

This knocked the tigress to the ground, she didn't feel pain but the attack rattled her entire body enough to force her body to be unable to move.

Sepia was surprised to see that Penny was still capable of fighting and watched as the broken armor floated because of Penny's strings and reattached to Penny's arm.

"I didn't know you could do that." She said to her. "I am happy that you are okay, but Penny, why are you doing this? Atlas doesn't have anything that can restrain him."

The Android stood up and thought of what Ruby had said.

"I trust in my new friend, she's seen the good in him and I trust her."

Sepia held her green glowing blade and glared. "You trust too easy."

Penny looked sadly at her and held her arm up ready to hold off Sepia from protecting Raven.

Jade's Jar

Kron only had one chain keeping him from going through the crack at the edge.

Just a little more, a little more and he'll be freed!

"Yes!" He yelled as the final chain broke thus leading to the souls screaming and now unable to scream.

Not that he complained, even as spirits, they were annoying as if he was still in the tribe so whiney and pathetic.

Kron raced towards the crack ready for his freedom.

Raven could feel it in her hand, he was breaking free.

The former bandit landed next to Sienna who was knocked out due to Penny's strike.

Placing the hand on the jar she was about to activate it, but she stopped. All she's done is help her, all for this purpose even though she despised her.

She was going to stab her in the back like she had to others she was closer to.

Raven let go of Sienna's hand unable to make the sacrifice.

Cher watched and was surprised at how she didn't make the sacrifice.

The black-haired woman placed her hand on the jar.

That shocked the pink-haired girl. "What're you doing?!"

"Kron," She said the name of the active that triggered the jar's activation.

Her body glowed and she screamed as she was putting her own fear and life force into the jar.

Jade's Jar

Kron reached the crack and was close to reaching freedom.

But then more chains came and wrapped around his arms, legs, and neck.

"What the?!" He yelled as he was ensnared and pulled back to the center.

As he was put back in the center the crack he saw began to repair, his only way to freedom.

"Raven!" He yelled as more and more chains wrapped around him. "You wretched hag!"

And again there was no oxygen in the jar, his air supply that he enjoyed was now leaving him.

Raven pulled her hand away as the shaking stopped again and saw the crack repaired.

The draining stopped, good, it was just like the scriptures described. It didn't need to take her life, just whatever amount of life force she had to give.

She fell to one knee feeling haggard and shades of white came to her hair.

It was a risk but it was fine, she just had to keep the jar closed long enough for him to suffocate. Once reopened she should return to perfect health.

She watched the fights unfold and then looked at the jar.

Just a bit longer and it will be over.

Qrow and Taiyang as strong as they were, were more than capable of holding back Team RWBY.

The only one they had any real trouble against was Yang who had real improvement in her fighting as well as stronger than ever.

But together they were too much.

"Please stop," Taiyang said as he blocked a fist from Yang. "Yang, you have to trust us, we know what we're doing."

"Like you trust Raven?" She asked. "Did she tell you why he's after her?"

Taiyang gritted his teeth, that was something he did know. Ozpin himself told him, he was angry at Raven for keeping it to herself.

But he remembered what happened the last time he trusted someone he loved, after Raven left Summer went missing.

The visions started coming back, he remembered how he angrily lashed out at Raven for trying to take Yang to be raised in the tribe.

If he had handled that differently, maybe she wouldn't have run off and been a part of Yang's life, and if he hadn't been passive about Summer they still would've had a mother.

He's not going to make the same mistake, he will not be complacent about the Scourge of Anima like he was about Summer, it might cost him his daughters.

Mid-vision Yang landed a strike against his cheek which was strong enough to send him skidding away.

The huntsmen were shocked at how hard the punch was, he was about to get up.

Yang turned to Weiss and nodded her head.

As if knowing what to do the heiress aimed Myrtenaster on the ground creating a propulsion glyph, sending her up.

Taiyang stood up looking up to see his daughter.

Behind him, Blake ran at him and threw her blade at him in an attempt to wrap him in it.

But the huntsman saw it coming grabbed the ribbon and swung it hoping to do little to the huntress.

Blake didn't mind that she was sent back, she was just a distraction.

High up above Yang had a fist up high and behind her was a black gravity glyph.

Taiyang looked up and was shocked at the sight but was too slow to avoid a fist from his daughter combined with Weiss' gravity glyph was too much for the huntsman to stand up to.

The attack was successful in bringing him to the ground.

With her hands on her knees, tired from the brief brawl she had with her father Yang looked down sadly at her father, she didn't want to do that.

Weiss walked to her left side and put a hand on her shoulder.

The blonde turned to Weiss and nodded knowing they had a job to do.

Qrow blocked the blades of Ruby and Blake together, like Taiyang he was doing his best not to harm them, just to keep them away from Raven.

Just then a red blur went past him.

Yang and Weiss were about to restrain him next.

But with swift maneuverability, he was able to avoid them and vanish from their sight.

Ruby was getting close to Raven in an attempt to grab the jar.

Just then Qrow vanished and appeared in front of her.

Her niece was shocked seeing that her uncle kept up with her even with her Semblance.

"Stop it kiddo, don't do this." Qrow pleaded looking down at her.

Ruby held up her scythe. "Uncle Qrow, please! He saved my friends! Yang trusts him! Don't you?" She asked. "I know what he's done, but we promise that he changed!"

Qrow was affected by that, he had a vision coming back, this one wasn't his regret but rather someone else.

In his niece's place, she saw a grown-up version of her only wearing a white good instead of red.

He remembered this, it was when he confessed the real reason why he and his sister came to Beacon Academy.

"I know you think of all the bad you've done, and that's why you have such a low opinion of yourself." She said to her. "But you and Raven have done well since you came to Beacon, I know that you are capable of good, you've proven your ability to change, who you are today matters more than who you were then, you've proven yourself and I know in time Raven will too.'

The vision ended quicker than most, he wondered if that was due to the Void Vault or his mind.

She always saw the best in people.

"It stopped," Raven said holding up the jar. "He stopped moving, it won't be long now."

Qrow didn't say anything and glanced at her.

"Thank you so much Qrow, this means so much to me." She said to him.

Her brother looked at Ruby who had the same eyes as her mother. The same eyes that always saw the good in people.

That saw good in him in the past.

"I'm sorry," He said looking at Ruby.

Raven looked at Ruby who seemed disappointed. "I am too, but you and your mother never learned, that not everyone is capable of change."

"I wasn't just apologizing to her," Qrow said.

The elderly Raven was confused and then shocked as the back of his scythe hit her hand.

Jade's Jar was flung up and Qrow jumped holding the jar.

Raven had a look of shock as her brother betrayed her.

The huntsman grabbed the jar and placed his other on the lid.

"Ozpin better be right about you." He said as he placed a hand on the top and looked at Raven. "You got a few minutes, go, now!"

Raven was shocked at the sight. "Qrow hand the jar now!"

Qrow shook his head. "Go now!"

The former bandit chief was taking quick breaths wanting to grab the jar but she wasn't confident that she could do it in time.

Without some force.

Raven vanished and appeared in front of her brother, her blade pierced through Qrow's side.

"Gah!" He screamed as the blade reached the other side.

"You'll be alright," Raven said. "I aimed for a nonvital spot."

She wasn't aiming to, she missed his vitals.

Yang was unaware of this fact and looked at Raven full of rage at the sight of what she did to her uncle.

She slammed her fists together, they glowed a golden flame-like Ki.

She was about to unleash it but first, she had to wait, wait until he was out of the way.

The blonde turned to Ruby and nodded her head.

Yang glared while firing a blast at her while Taiyang looked shocked at what Raven had done.

Qrow while stabbed took his chance and tossed the jar downward and flew downward with her hand outstretched.

She was about to take the jar and ensure Kron's death.

Ruby would not be able to grab it in time.

Off guard, Raven felt a ribbon wrap around her arm slightly pulling her back. She turned to see Kali's daughter with a vicious glare.

And then she felt another pull, a black Schnee Glyph surrounded her waist slowing her movement and the ribbon felt heavier.

She turned to see the heiress with Myrtenaster aimed at her seeing that she was slowing her down.

But no matter if neither was strong enough to hold her back for long, she reached her hand for Jade's Jar.

But Yang finally saw her opening.

With Qrow out of range and Raven running towards Ruby.

Now was the time.

Yang's Aura and Ki blended around her body it was like a golden flame. She remembered Kron's last lesson to her.

Focus your Ki in a single point.

Her hands glowed gold and looked encased in flame.

Then release.

She thrusted her fists forward one over the other.

And of course, yell the attack's name to trigger it.

"Scorch Stream!" Yang roared her new Ki attack name.

A golden flame-like energy wave released from her fists.

Raven reached Ruby and was about to take back Jade's Jar, but she felt heat at her side.

She turned to see a beautiful but deadly wave of golden flame headed for her.

Unable to dodge the flame consumed her.

She screamed as she was pushed and the golden flame coated her entire body.

As Raven was pushed away from Ruby she could see Yang with red eyes, glaring at her.

This attack was created in three months of Kron's training. It felt like she was being pushed by pressure, like Kron's Berringel Burst, only it felt firey, more heat came off of it.

Even weakened Raven was able to minimize the damage using ice magic to encase her body even as it melted it was able to keep her in the ring.

The flame finally subsided and she finally stopped being pushed back.

Raven panted as scattered little flames were felt all over her body. With magic, she quickly wiped them out but that did little to comfort her seeing Summer's daughter holding the jar.

"Don't!"

She was so close to Ruby that she started opening the lid.

A light unleashed from the jar's opening.

A couple of lights with faces of the Branwen Tribe go into the air, passing on into the afterlife.

In front of Raven stood a figure all were familiar with.

Spikey black hair pointed in two directions, a brown tail and a black cloak.

Kron breathed in and out enjoying his oxygen after being deprived of it for several minutes.

Raven looked at Kron terrified even as light went to her and started restoring her full strength.

The masked Saiyan put up his hood over his hair and glared at Raven behind the mask.

"Now, where were we?" Kron squeezed his knuckles so hard they cracked.

Nothing will stop him now.

Raven took a few steps back away from him, it was over, finally over. She was going to rid herself of him and now this.

Kron glanced at Ruby behind him. "Thank you...Ruby"

Ruby nodded in return.

The Saiyan turned to Raven and walked towards her.

"Die!"

Kron glanced at where the voice came from, it was the Grimm-like Sienna charging at him.

No longer in the mood to play with opponents, Kron low-kicked the Grimm tigress.

The kick shattered the robotic leg into pieces.

Sienna was shocked at the lack of effort she saw in that strike.

Not done yet, Kron grabbed Sienna's arm, pulled her in, and punched straight into her stomach.

And with just two attacks the High Leader of the White Fang was sent flying off the ring and hit one of the walls of the arena.

Kron kept walking closer to Raven.

But he looked behind knowing there was another that would get in his way.

Sepia yelled as she tried to stab her glowing green blade through his back.

Kron turned and grabbed the wrist. He then bent her arm.

*Crack!*

Sepia screamed as her arm had broken like a twig.

"Y'know Sepia, your Semblance is impressive, but if I resort to physical attacks, " he lifted her up and kicked her side. "it's not that effective." Sepia was knocked off the ring and crashed against one of the arena walls.

The Owl Faunus's eyes widened, her armor had several cracks. Just how strong was this monster? That was her final thought as she lost consciousness.

Once she was out of the way Kron turned to the final obstacle.

Penny took a few steps back actually unsure if releasing him would end well for her.

Kron kept his eye on Raven but was about to attack.

But Ruby stood in front with her arms up.

"She helped free you!"

Kron stopped, it was hard to tell what he was thinking, and nodded.

Ruby was relieved as he walked away.

Still conscious Sienna watched to see how he effortlessly knocked away the Owl Faunus in that strange Atlassian armor.

All the power the Abyss hides grants her and it means nothing against this monster.

Her thoughts became more and more bestial as she thought of ways to kill him. Head-on means nothing, the jar is useless and Raven for all her power still fears him.

She glanced over at the Cat Faunus.

There was only one chance now.

Sienna Khan would never resort to this tactic.

But the Abyss Hide was affecting her body as well as her mind. It made her want to destroy him at all costs.

Speaking of her body, her missing leg grew a black appendage similar to a Grimm's body.

Yes, she will stop the Scourge of Anima.

At all costs.

As Kron walked closer to his prize someone else came at him, he was ready to destroy whoever was racing towards him.

But then she had a familiar scent.

Blake hugged his side tightly.

Kron stopped for a moment remembering this feeling, it was like Kali when she did this. He turned to look down at Blake.

"I" Blake looked up at him with a tear down her eye. "I thought you were gone."

The Saiyan felt a sense of comfort in this moment, a familiar sensation.

But that went away when he looked at Raven standing on the other side of the ring.

This was it, he was never going to have a chance like this.

"Blake" He pulled her off of her. "Take your friends, and get off the ring."

She looked up at Kron and turned to Raven. With hesitation, she nodded and gestured to Ruby to follow her.

He focused on Raven as he walked forward.

The Saiyan stopped just a few feet in front of her.

This was it, the fight he longed for eight years.

The fight she feared for five years.

Behind her, Ruby took Qrow in her with Yang helping him.

Ruby and Yang helped up the wounded Qrow who was struggling with the wound.

Raven turned to Taiyang still recovering.

"Tai help me!"

Taiyang looked at Qrow with a look of shame and ran over to help him with Ruby. "I'm sorry."

"So am I." He replied. He looked at Raven for a few seconds with a disappointed look and walked away with Ruby and Taiyang.

The huntsman felt betrayed when she resorted to an attack like that, even when he gave her a chance to run.

Raven watched her former flame go along with her brother, she looked at the only hope she had.

Yang glared at her 'mother' seeing how far she was willing to go to protect herself. She understood why she wanted to seal Kron away, she thought it was her only option. She wanted to give her a chance to run away, she was going to try to convince Kron to let her go.

Was is the keyword.

"Yang!" Raven yelled. "Please, help me, we can stop him together!" She yelled. "I was trying to protect myself to protect us!"

Yang looked at Raven while squeezing her fists and turned to Kron.

The Saiyan looked at her knowing what was going to happen.

Yang looked at Qrow who was bleeding from the wound she gave him as Ruby and her father tried to take her to the arena's exit for treatment.

She looked back at Raven.

"Goodbye, Raven." She looked at Kron who stood like a statue. She gave him a nod as if telling him to do what he was going to do.

Kron understood it and watched her walk away.

Raven held out a hand watching her daughter go, this was it. She was all alone now, first her tribe, her brother, her former flame, and now her daughter.

All of them.

Now it was just Kron and Raven standing in the arena.

"It's over hag."

Raven only stared as Yang walked away toward where Ruby had taken Qrow.

Kron continued.

"No more allies, no more tricks, and most importantly." He punched into his palm. "No more running."

He expected her to turn around when he said that but instead she just kept staring at where they had ran off to.

"You've taken everything from me."

Kron didn't respond and just waited for her to turn around.

Wind, lightning, and fire surrounded her.

"You've taken my tribe, my family, everything else." She closed her fists as flame and lightning danced across her body.

Kron still said nothing and was surprised not to see a terrified face but rather one of anger.

"Before all this, before Kali, I gave you so much, I trained you, raised you, protected you, and how were you going to repay me?"

The Saiyan knew what she was getting at.

"An execution," Raven said glaring with firey red eyes. "I did all that for you and I knew you were plotting to kill me, in a few years you would have killed me, I knew that and I knew that I should have killed you."

It was true Kron did intend to kill her while he was growing up under her wing. Back when he wanted to wipe out all of Remnant.

"But I didn't, I didn't because I thought of you as a son Kron." She explained. "With Kali, I thought her fate was no different, I thought you'd kill her too, after all, she had you for a few weeks and she was no warrior. Tell me Kron what did she give you that I didn't? Why would you not kill her like you were planning with me?"

Kron did not answer that.

"Answer me, Kron!" Raven yelled in rage. "Why would you spare her and not me?!"

Kron thought back to his days in Kali's household.

When he first met her all he could think of was how pathetic and fragile she looked. Incapable of fighting, she would have become easy prey when it was time to conquer Remnant.

And then he spent time recovering in her home.

This weak Faunus treated his wounds, and made sure that he didn't overtrain.

It was annoying and made him feel weak!

But then he realized something, she cared for him. Not for his strength, but for him. Simply because she cared for him despite not being her blood.

It made him feel things that confused him even to this day.

Kron returned to reality and turned to Raven.

"Who knows?" Kron asked.

Raven looked dissatisfied and sighed. "So even you don't know." She wanted to know one other thing. "What was I to you? During that time, before Menagerie with the tribe. What did I mean to you?"

Kron had an easier time knowing that question. He was quite different from them. As much as he hated to admit it, Blake was right. He did change for better or worse.

Back then he only had one thing on his mind the mission. While he did have second thoughts about killing Raven, she was right that he always plotted it.

That he would kill her once he surpassed her.

He didn't want to tell her but he knew the truth, he remembered his old thought process.

"You were a tool, to get stronger, someone to surpass," Kron admitted. "And nothing more."

Raven was silent for a few minutes, processing that Kali was seen as more of a mother to him than she ever was. The black-haired woman laughed, she scoffed at all the times she fought her instincts to kill him when she had the chance.

But also guilt, guilt for not allowing him to have a chance with the Belladonnas. She was so envious of Kali, she wished she could understand what she did that gave her the loyalty from Kron she sought ever since she met him.

"That sounds about right, I change my mind, keep the mask on, it suits your monstrous nature," Raven said pulling out Omen and looking at the blade.

As Raven got into position she wanted to make one thing clear.

"Just know, you won't get what you want from Yang."

"What?"

Raven smiled. "I know what your end goal is Kron, when I die, the one who will receive my power is Vernal, she's the only one in the tribe who's still alive." She didn't want to let her go, she wanted retribution but she had to allow Cher to have her way, she owed her that much. "I won't turn my daughter into your plaything."

Kron was angry hearing that, it was the whole point of this deal. He had imagined a Ki-powered Maiden several times, it would have been a sight to see. Yang would have been a truly worthy opponent. One he would love to fight over and over again.

The Saiyan sighed.

"Oh well," Kron replied. "I never liked the idea of handing power over anyway, I only wanted her to have it because I've been itching for an opponent to be my equal." The idea of Maidens just having power handed to them never sat right with him, but he thought he couldn't be picky. "From what I've seen though there are other ways for her to get stronger." He thought of Glynda, Qrow, and Taiyang, how these normal huntsmen made him bleed. Whatever Ozpin did for their training he can do the same for her. "And knowing her she won't need your power to be a worthy opponent, I'll just have to wait a bit longer." He gave in knowing there wasn't much he could do about this. "So sorry, this little trick won't work."

He won't let that disappointment stop him from this.

Raven didn't falter hearing that.

"Not a trick, I'm just letting you know that you won't get what you want." She said to him. "However, this ends."

Kron was angry at that but he took it as another reason to end her.

"And it ends tonight."

Raven took a fighting stance, she held her Fire Dust-bladed Omen over her head and stood tall.

Kron took his own, his left fist at his side, his right arm up in a chopping position.

The announcer had spoken.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" He yelled."After all the excitement, the fight we've all been waiting for is here! Raven Branwen vs The Scourge of Anima!" The crowd cheered at this. "Now prepare for the long-awaited fight of the century!"

After eight years apart the rematch is finally here.

12 years ago Kron had met the infamous Raven Branwen.

8 years ago she betrayed him turning him against a family that cared for him.

Now after 8 long years of dreams of vengeance, Kron finally has the match he's wanted!

Will Raven pay for the sins of the past? Or will she somehow overcome the Scourge of Anima?

Find out on the next chapter of One's Own Path!

This is the longest chapter so far. Originally I was going to cut it at where Kron is about to escape, but I think we can all agree this cliffhanger was the best way to end the chapter.

I love how some of you guys commented that he got Gojo'd.

Believe it or not but Sealing Kron away was in the works before that episode came out and I think even before that manga chapter. I THINK, it was back a few months after Chapter 20 during the first Hiatus.

Still that is funny and accurate.

Hope u guys liked Yang's first Ki attack, Scorch Stream, basically her Kamehameha, like Kron's Berringel Burst. Though it has a different effect, it has a burning effect on it.

And now Kron is free, and her family is now going to leave her to suffer the concequences.

I've been looking forward to writing their rematch it's overdue. Been 42 chapters since their last fight.

I hope you guys will enjoy.

Review Responces

Kensanders: Lol, I considered having Eclipse come over to rampage in a free for all. But I thought this fight is overdue and it has to happen. Been 43 chapters since their last fight.

I decided if I was going to write a sealing item that could exist in the world of RWBY I had to put a drawback as to why they wouldn't use it on Salem. As for Ozpin in canon he's proven that can't quite stay on top of everything, probably depressed thinking he's only fighting off the inevitable since Salem is immortal and the most powerful on Remnant. Not excusiong him, just trying to make an excuse why that is in canon.

They did and yes she did!

Hopefully Ozpin will be better after this arc.

Wish granted and now Kron himself can have his prize.

Sai22: He almost did good thing he's starting to have friends.

ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank you! Well from what we see Saiyans can last without oxygen for a bit, longer than humans. Damaging it almost freed him.

You were right but Raven has plenty of fear to spear. Lucky for her it doesn't necessarily require your life to keep it closed. Just your fear and a good amount of your life span.

Qrow almost did, yeah Yang had to carry Team RWBY right now.

They had both Teamwork and were able to talk sense in their friends and family. Sepia would have but she saw Kron as the greater threat and it was the only chance to take him down.

Eclipse is still on his way, he better hope he doesn't try to fight Raven right now. She's been number 1 on his shit list for almost half his life. Lol, I reread this multiple times I hope there's not another repeat.

I hope it was worh the wait and Happy new year to u to!

AlejandroDiaz: Thank you! Happy New Year to you to!

Pokedig: Happy New Year!

ForeverTruthful95: Happy New Year!

Shirex773: Happy New Year!

Bear295: They were pissed and they showed it. Eclipse is still on his way, same to you bud and hope u liked this chapter to.

Lol, wow Cher would come up with that if she were asked.

Keybladelight: The Jade's Jar's been hyped for almost 10 chapters so I had to at least make it work. Wish granted, she fought and fought hard.

Raven and Kron could have had a mother son relationship if only Raven showed true care as he grew up. But Kali had to do that instead. Eclipse is coming soon.

Saving that village proved that Kron has indeed changed for the better.

Abyss Emperor: Aw dude lol! If it were plausible I would totally write that, but sadly Kron does not have the skill nor the power to create an artificial moon. That scene would have been epic though.

Cjdaking: He did love the fighting, especially what Yang was showing.

Runeion: Happy New Year!
Nothing ever goes according to plan. Yep he lasted a long time without air. They sure did.

ZamasuAutonomous22: Lol pretty much.

Penny just couldn't refuse Sepia, she's been a comerade for a while now.

The goal was to wait for him to suffocate.

Eclipse will at some point.

Guest: She sure will.

Lelouch of Zero: Glad to hear it, Kron was just fighting all againts him while beong sealed. Absolutely, imagine there'd be no real fighting just Kron one shotting everyone.

Yeah, Raven and Cher have built some understanding, but Cher might still have some questions, we'll see.

Yeah, Qrow and Taiyang are still under the effects of the Void Vault just to a lesser degree compared to the beginning. Eclipse is stil on his way.

Yep, just long enough for him to suffocate, Kron needed help but he almost got out.

Lol, Weiss will earn her name someday for Kron.

Your welcome!

Demon Lord Beezlebub: I'm glad I made a story you can enjoy. I appreciate you saying not to rush but don't worry I genuinely enjoy writing it's why I can update weekly.

I'll do my best and the hiatus isn't for a few more chapters hopefully it will be memorable. Rest assured I will not abandon this story I aim to finish it and not anytime soon.

Guest: Lol he sure did.

Guest: Yep he needs to breath no matter how strong he is.

I don't think how long a Saiyan can last without air is determined on their strength, though definitely if they can survive the vacume of space.

Good thing Kron had back up.

Guest: Clone? U mean Eclipse? Eclipse isn't a clone he's just a really powerful Grimm Human Hybrid. But possible.

Akashic Records: Yep. Well now there's no running for Raven.

James is bored: LOL! NOW WE ARE!

I hope u still feel that way, yep Yang has grown up and the team has learned proper teamwork.

Eddyg125: He sure is! Hope u still do!

Diabolos Aides: No, thank you for reading.

Erentitatngodx: Lol Yes

Opfanreader: Lol, we'll heres another

ForeverTruthful95: Thank you!

Things might get dicey for them but at least they got through to Qrow.

Next chapter we'll see if you get your wish.

Triscythe59: Thank you! All hell did break loose, he almost did but now he's free and ready for his prize!
