Vast Poni Canyon Trial (Part Two)
After entering the trial area, Ed is walking down the tunnel on his way to the pedestal where the Z Crystal is. As he continues going down the tunnel, a Jangmo-o appears. Ed pulls out a pokeball.
"Dewgong, go!" said Ed, throwing Dewgong's pokeball and releasing her. "Dewgong, Ice Beam!" Dewgong opens her mouth and unleashes light blue electricity from it, and it hits Jangmo-o, dealing super effective damage. Jangmo-o charges at Dewgong and rams into her, knocking her back. "Now use Headbutt!" Dewgong leaps at Jangmo-o and rams her head against it, knocking it to the ground with swirly eyes. "Great job, Dewgong!"
After returning Dewgong to her pokeball, Ed continues walking down the tunnel. As he does, Hakamo-o jumps down in front of him. Ed takes out Dewgong's pokeball and releases her from it.
"Dewgong, Aurora Beam!" said Ed. Dewgong fires a multicolored beam of energy from her horn and it hits Hakamo-o, dealing super effective damage to it. Hakamo-o responds by charging at Dewgong while a green aura surrounds its tail and strikes Dewgong; she returns Dewgong to her pokeball and Decidueye comes out of his.
"Decidueye, use Pluck!" said Ed. Decidueye flies at Hakomo-o while his beak glowed white and jabs Hakamo-o with it, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out. "Great work, Decidueye." He looks at Dewgong's pokeball. "You too, Dewgong." After returning Decidueye to his pokeball, he continues down the tunnel and soon reaches the pedestal where the Z-Crystal is. He walks to it and pulls the Z Crystal out of the pedestal; the second he does, the Totem Kommo-o jumps down in front of Ed and an aura surrounds its body. Ed takes out a pokeball.
"Decidueye, go!" said Ed, throwing Decidueye's pokeball and releasing him. "Decidueye, use Feather Dance!" Decidueye begins dancing around and releases glowing white feathers from his body onto the Totem Kommo-o, greatly weakening its attack strength. The Totem Kommo-o claws glowed purple and it jabs Decidueye with them, but not doing much damage due to its weakened attack strength.
"Decidueye, use Pluck!" said Ed. Decidueye flies at the Totem Kommo-o while his beak glowed white and jabs the Totem Pokemon with it, dealing super effective damage. The Totem Kommo-o hand becomes surrounded by electricity and it punches Decidueye with it, but not dealing much damage due to him being resisitant to electric type moves and the Totem Kommo-o's attack being weakened; static electricity surrounds Decidueye's body.
"Fight it, Decidueye!" said Ed. Decidueye lets out a yell and the static expels from his body. "Now use Brave Bird!" Decidueye flies at the Totem Kommo-o while an orange aura surrounds his body and slams into the Totem Pokemon, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out; Decidueye flinches in pain from the recoil damage caused by Brave Bird. "Are you okay, Decidueye." He responds by giving Ed a thumbs up. "We did it, Decidueye!"
Moments later, Ed meets with the others and holds out his Z Crystal.
"Way to go, big guy." said Eddy.
"Congratulations, Ed." said Edd. "I believe I will go next."
"Do it, Double-D!" says Jimmy.
Edd heads down the corridor until the Jangmo-o appears, prompting him to let out his Primarina.
"Primarina, please use Disarming Voice!" said Edd. Primarina lets out a soft, soothing soundwave that hits Jangmo-o, dealing super effective damage; it responds by ramming Primarina, dealing damage to her. "Primarina, please use Disarming Voice once more!" Primarina hits the Jangmo-o with another soft soundwave, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
Edd decides to keep Primarina out of her pokeball; the two continue down the corridor until this time the Hakamo-o shows itself.
"Primarina, please use Moonblast!" said Edd. Primarina gathers energy into a large pink ball and launches it at the opposing Pokemon, and since it was a combination of dragon and fighting types, the attack did enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"You had quite the advantage against that Pokemon, Primarina." said Edd, making Primarina bow her head down.
The two continue on until they reached the pedestal where Edd takes the Z-Crystal off of it, making the Totem Kommo-o appear.
"Primarina, pleases use Moonblast again!" said Edd. Primarina forms another ball of pink energy between her front flippers and launches it at the Kommo-o, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage; it reacts by punching Primarina with an electricty-coated fist, dealing super effective damage.
"Primarina, one more Moonblast should do it!" said Edd. Primarina throws one more pink energy orb at the Kommo-o, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Good work, Double-D!" said Maxiley.
When Edd returns to his friends who congratulate him, Eddy steps forward.
"Looks like it's my turn." said Eddy.
"You can do it, Eddy!" said Ed.
Eddy walks down the corridor until the Jangmo-o appears, making him let out his Poliwrath.
"Poliwrath, use Mind Reader!" said Eddy. Poliwrath closes his eyes and uses his mental energies to predict his opponent's future movements before it hits him with a headbutt. "Use Dynamic Punch!" Poliwrath's eyes snap open as he draws back a fist that was shaking with energy and throws a punch at the Jangmo-o that hits it with explosive force, sending it flying into a wall where it loses consciousness.
"Nice one, Poliwrath!" said Eddy, making his Pokemon do a fist pump. After Eddy returns it to his pokeball, he continues down the corridor; soon, a Hakamo-o appears; he then lets out his Noivern.
"Looks like it's dragon type vs dragon type!" said Eddy. "Noivern, use Wing Attack!" Noivern flies at the opposing Pokemon and strikes it with her wing, dealing super effective damage; it reacts by hitting her with a claw that was coated in green energy, dealing super effective damage to her. "We're not gonna take that, Noivern; use Air Slash!" Noivern flaps her wings, releasing a blade of air that hits the Hakamo-o, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"You okay, Noivern?" Eddy asked his Pokemon who nods in response. After Eddy returns his Pokemon to her pokeball, he keeps going until he reaches the pedestal where he grabs the Z Crystal on it. Suddenly, the Totem Kommo-o appears and flares with Z-Energy.
"Vikavolt, come out, pal!" said Eddy as he lets out his Vikavolt. "Now use Acrobatics!" Vikavolt flies around his opponent, hitting it multiple times from different angles; it reacts by slamming its scales together, releasing a soundwave that hits Vikavolt, damaging him. The Kommo-o's scales crack a bit after that.
"That move must've been Clanging Scales!" said Edd. "It's a strong move, but it weakens the users defense after using it.
"Vikavolt, use Air Slash!" said Eddy. Vikavolt flaps his wings, releasing a blade of wind that hits the Kommo-o, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Eddy did it!" said Ed. Eddy then returns to his friends who congratulate him.
"That was splendid, Eddy." said Edd.
"Congratulations, everyone!" said Lillie who runs over to the group, followed by Hapu who was on her Mudsdale.
"Up ahead is the Altar of the Moone." said Hapu. "That is where you all need to go with the flute."
"Then let's get going!" said Eddy.
The group has passed the Vast Poni Canyon Trial. What awaits them at the Altar of the Moone as their Alola adventure continues?
