A new monkey habitat is opening at the Animal Park, but when Nia breaks down, Thomas has to take her place in collecting passengers for the grand opening. In doing so, Thomas is decorated as a monkey, which causes the other engines to mock him until Rebecca helps him look past all the teasing. Once Nia is back in service, the other engines get a taste of dressing up as animals too.

In an effort to cure Fergus's chronic cough from his years of working in the Cement Works, Sir Topham Hatt sends him to Brendam Docks to help Salty while Stafford does his job at the Cement Works.
