Dib was feeling kind of blue. He was just so confused about everything. Was Tak working with Zim? Was Zim really just trying to figure out how stop water from burning him? Was Gaz just waiting until he slept to kill him?

As he walked through the field he honestly didn't have a sure answer to any of those questions. What made matters worse was the fact that Tak had seemed so genuine about wanting just to live on earth. It had been about 6 months since her return. She just showed up at school one day, and during lunch hour informed Dib he had nothing to worry about.

At first, he was skeptical, but as time went on and the two conversed more and more, he truly began to believe she had no desire to take over the earth. She seemed like she wanted to be friends, but it was always in the back of his mind, that she was…

…hiding something. The fact that the ship couldn't tell him why she was here kind of confirmed that.

Still though, perhaps he had been a little too hard on her.

*Rustle* *Rustle*

Dib looked into the nearby brush. It was probably just a squirrel or something.

*Rustle* *Rustle*

Still, though it wouldn't hurt to move… closer to the street. Just in case.

"Still afraid of me?" Asked a familiar voice.

Dib turned back to where he heard the sound.

"Tak." He asked.

The girl emerged from the bush nearby. However… there was something rather off.

"Tak, you should activate your hologram. Someone may see you." He warned her.

"What does it matter Dib?" She asked. "This is all you'll ever see me as right?"

"What?"

"The alien… the one coming to take over the planet?"

"Tak I… Listen I know I was a little hard before but…"

"But what?" She interrupted as she began walking towards him. "I honestly thought after all this time I we had… I mean… I thought…" She seemed to be struggling to finish her sentence.

"Tak…" Said Dib.

Then suddenly she began to cry, yet at the same time, she charged at him.

"Oof." He said as he landed on his behind.

Tak's arms were wrapped around him with one around his rather large head.

"You want to know why I came back, Dib?" She almost whispered while sobbing.

Dib didn't answer. He was still rather in shock about the situation as a whole.

"It was after I realized something. I was chasing my dream of being an invader. I would have done anything to be one…" She told him.

"But… one day it all just hit me… why was I doing it? What was the point? The Tallest don't care about me."

Tak used one of her hands to wipe some tears from her eyes before continuing.

"Then I remembered… I remembered the times we shared at school. You actually listened to me. You actually…"

"Tak I'm sorry!" Dib interrupted. "I'm sorry I accused you of being in cahoots with Zim. I should have known better."

Tak backed slightly so the two were now face to face.

"You didn't let me finish." She said.

"Oh… I'm so… mmphmmphmm." Was all Dib could say as Tak brought her lips to his.

Dib shocked at first, eventually accepted the kiss from the irken. After a few seconds however Tak pulled away.

"Oh yeah, my disguise." She said as she got off of him and stood up.

"Oh yeah, wouldn't want anyone seeing you." Said Dib as he too stood up.

After dawning her disguise Dib noticed that Tak still looked slightly off.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

"I was actually." She replied.

"You were what?" He asked.

"In cahoots with Zim." Tak admitted.

"What!?" Asked Dib shocked.

"We were trying to figure out a way to stop water from burning our skin." She said. "That's why I wasn't present during your brawl. I was below the school measuring the ph levels."

The two stood and stared at each other for a brief moment.

"It's okay Tak." Dib said. "I believe you."

This brought a smile and another hug from the irken. "Thanks Dib." She said.

Dib returned the hug but then remembered…

"Oh by the way I… um, have your ship." He said.

"You what!?" Asked Tak.

"Well, it crash-landed near my house shortly after you left." He told her.

"I've been here six months Dib." Tak said rather firmly.

"Yeah… well…" He began to say before she pecked him on the cheek.

"You're lucky your so cute." She told him.

"Now come on… let's go get my ship." Said Tak as she grabbed onto his hand.

Dib looked down at the disguised hand that grabbed him. This was a strange turn of events. Sure he still probably had his sister's wrath to deal with, and he probably had to actually apologize to Zim, but… this was a win…

…Definitely a win.
