sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 14- battle for the blades
this chapter will cover episodes 3-6 of season 2
and will cover the battle to try and get the Excalibur fragment from Freed as everybody learns truths from many sources
Issei pov
It was then Merlin declared start as Irina wanted to kill me, and I planned to dress break her until Koneko spoiled the attack and with that Merlin smacked her on the head with his staff and said "don't spoil his move. Issei isn't the only one that wants to see her boobs." Shirou then spoke up and said, "I have boobs I get to see, I don't need to see hers and half the time I don't want to see boobs." Then Merlin said, "I can see that more than one love god has their eyes on you, but I am not allowed to say which ones."
Shirou pov
With the other battle, I could tell Kiba was using one of my moves but couldn't make blades strong enough to hold up to even a fragment of Excalibur after that the blue haired girl countered him with a ground burst. After that issei kept trying to get his childhood friend with dress break but with the trick spoiled the girl kept dodging. As his attack failed and hit Koneko only to get himself hit. Issei did well but without being able to form his full armor he wasn't able to withstand the holy sword and was taken out of the battle and not long after so was Kiba.
It was after that, Merlin spouted out what sounded like a prophecy about Excalibur and possibly me reforging all the pieces into one to deal with a great pretender. Then he told us "the two sides of the Greco-Roman pantheon unknowingly worked together to defeat Chronos. But soon the earth mother would rise and cause more problems for both sides. Also, the soul king faction of the Buddhist faction has resolved one conflict only to get into another conflict soon. then finally the Egyptian gods are free and causing problems on their side." He also told us that there were two other possible doomsdays problems brewing but not soon enough that anything could be done at this time.
After that, Kiba told us as we learned the other girl was named Xenobia and that a rogue priest named Freed killed the contact the two girls planned to meet and had an Excalibur fragment of his own. I knew we needed to get the blade, but it would be easiest for the girls to find Freed themselves and for our peers to come in when the time is right.
We soon left with Merlin in tow as he said, "I will be watching those girls to see when they reveal the fragment blade's location and likely some skin as well." I will fetch your group when the time is right. hopefully that Kiba boy can ferret the group supporting Freed for us." it wasn't long after that my dragon grand master, told me there are two problem that we may have to face, the white dragon and a power similar to the holy grail. Both could be treats to you."
Issei pov
After we returned to the club room, Rias tried to talk Kiba out of getting involved but he ran off leaving Rias and the rest of the group to worry about our friend. But when the next day of school came, Koneko and I came up with a plan to get Saji's help capturing the swords. After that the plan to find the girls and get them to help us. but that part came easy when we gave them food from a restaurant that has a special Artoria menu. After feeding them, the two girls agreed to let us help due to them being outmatched and mentioning something called a Solomon grail.
It was soon the girls lead us to Kiba and brought up the person that nearly killed him has the Excalibur fragment and was our target. It was after that Kiba told the three of us about his past and how he was used to trying and making a person that can control a holy sword. But the project failed and only he was left.
Then before bed Asia put on a show with a short nurse outfit and that helped perk me up while I got called out to join the two girls in the coming battle.
As we readied for our next move, the blue haired girl Xenobia told me the white dragon was awake and I would likely have to face them soon. We were taken to the church where we faced the stray devil recently and there, we first met Freed.
Then he revealed his blade, Ravel's peerage appeared with Merlin in a field of flowers. But in turn Freed lifted a strange cup and said, "I was told to us this just in case, come out servants and defend me." then out of cup came shadows that formed in seven beings as the rogue priest said, "they may not have free will, but they should be able to defend me from people like you." With that I knew we would have to fight Freed alone. As each member of the other peerage took on a servant and my team prepared to fight Freed.
The major helper against Freed was Saji and his sacred gear, but a priest came out and gave Freed tips to help fight as the two girls soon joined the battle. but before we could do anything the two priests escaped as the servants left with them. not long after, Rias and Sona showed up as Ravel came out to say "sempais, I am happy you showed up so soon. my team was only able to bring down one of those servants."
After that, Saji, Koneko and I ended up getting spanked and when I returned home, I got the fun of naked apron service from both Rias and Asia.
Shirou pov
It wasn't long that my peerage chased after the group only for them escape with again with Irina in tow. But we ended up having to face a vampiric servant super charged by angel blood and pushed us to the edge I lost sight of Kiba and Xenobia.
It was a few hours later, that we went to school and after school we found the exorcist with a fallen with lots of wings and soon met the man beyond this problem as he revealed, he was planning to start a full-on war. as he unleashed a bunch of super charged servants as well. We knew the final battle would be at school as Freed revealed he had a few Excalibur fragments, and I knew I would have to defeat them and make sure Merlin could hide them.
Thankfully Sona's peerage was made a barrier, we soon made it to school as the fallen angel fused the four blades in a single sword at the same time, he used the blade to charge the remaining servants to higher levels. as well as summoning a few hell hounds.
Issei pov
While my team was fighting, I was passing boosts around to recharge the others and provide the best support I could. It wasn't much longer until help came from Xenobia and Kiba to help clear the path. But once we faced the fallen angel, he proved the greatest treat. It got even worse with the four fragment Excalibur was made. Merlin shouted out; we need to get blade very soon.
But with the blade Freed was posing a greater challenge than we could guess, it was when Shirou came in that we had a real challenger, but he was having to help the others with blade copies as much as possible. it was while facing the priest that made him, Kiba seemed to gain a new power. He gained a balance breaker of his own. the power to make both holy and demonic blades, a new skill called sword of betrayer.
Then to face the fused Excalibur, Xenobia pulled out Durandal and that soon helped. But once the fallen fully joined his power was more than even Shirou could handle. It wasn't long into the battle, that the fallen revealed God and Lucifer had died in the battle, using the power of the two dragon emperors of that era.
When asked the fallen revealed Michael, Raphael and Muhamed were maintaining the systems of power the rights for the three Abrahamic religions. as all hoped seemed lost a man in white armor burst through the barrier and his power to kill the fallen. After that, the white dragon left me with a challenge and to get strong enough to face him in battle.
after the battle, Xenobia revealed she joined Rias' peerage after she learned God was dead. After that Shirou revealed the fused Excalibur was taken away to be reforged in the true version of the blade at the forges of Avalon later.

I added in a more on the major religions due to rolls it will play later in the story.
I also had to cut a little near the end due to lack of time
Next chapter will have Issei meet the secret member of rias peerage
while Yusuke and Ravel's peerage will deal with a problem from two sides
but first will touch on Rudy dealing with a reunion after he solved one problem and starts a new chapter of his life
