Chapter 3
The Tangled Webs

The next day, the Black Cloud arrived at Mount Cavora to steal more Chi. The Bats lowered their guard, thinking they were safe until they received weapon fire from the Tribes below. Armed with their vehicles, the Tribes opened fired on the Bats.
Lagravis: Protect Mount Cavora! Hit that cloud with everything you've got!
As if on cue, Lion Tribe warriors fired from the cannons mounted on the walls of Lion City. Caught completely off guard, the Bats scattered from the energy explosions and started returning fire. A Bat vehicle, carrying the Spider Sparacon and two others, flew through the swarm.
Sparacon: Fly towards the cave!
The vehicle dropped the Spiders off at the Chi Waterfall openings.
Sparacon: It's finally ours.
Inside the was a huge spider web blockage, keeping all the Chi in and from filling the Chi pool in the Lion Temple.
Sparacon: Let's fill it up.
Sparacon and the spiders started filling their newly spun bag with Chi. As the Bats kept firing below, Lagravis pieced together what they were doing.
Lagravis: I don't believe it! First, they stopped the Falls, now they're harvesting the Orbs inside them!
The Spiders fled back to the vehicles to evacuate, not noticing one of the webs was purposely done weakly and ripped, causing a small leak and Chi began dropping from Mount Cavora into the Sacred Pool.
Lagravis: DON'T LET THEM LEAVE WITH OUR CHI!
Most of the cannons turned their attention on the vehicles and fired but started to weaken from low power readings.
Queen Crunket: There's not enough Chi in our blasters!
The Lions managed to use just enough energy to shoot some of the Bat vehicles out of sky, but some manage to escape.
Lagravis: It's too late, they're getting away with the Chi!
Queen Crunket: No, wait! Look!
An Eagle Tribe Aircraft flew over the Bat vehicle and snatched the pilot.
Sparacon: (Seeing the vehicle stop) Uh-oh.
Sparacon screamed in terror as gravity took effect. A Lion told Lagravis about the vehicle's crash landing and the newly created Chi puddle in the temple.
Lagravis: Good news! We've taken down those Chi thieves! Queen Crunket will lead a team to recover the orbs.
The Tribes cheered as Lagravis continued the good news.
Lagravis: What's more, a small amount of Chi is filling our Sacred Pool. Now, all we have to do is stop the rest of them.
The Bats swarmed over Mount Cavora like hornets within their hive. Meanwhile, Doubloon was leading the Heroes to the first two Legend Beast. Everyone wore Lavertus' new armor for their protection.
Lucilia: Thanks for helping us, Doubloon.
The samurai's face changed to a friendly expression in response.
Razar: Quite the quiet one, yes?
Cragger: How much further?
Lucilia: (Reading the copied map) According to Lavertus' map, we're heading to two Legend Beasts trapped in a canyon somewhere around here.
Doubloon turned his face back to normal and pointed in a direction.
Cragger: Doubloon I can understand, but trust Kookjob? I didn't even want to leave our Crocodile Beast with him. (As the others came up) But even Legend Beasts need to rest sometimes.
Lucilia: (Chuckles) And apparently it also likes cupcakes.
Laval: Lavertus is a Lion. And you can always trust a lion.
Cragger and Worriz looked at each other, thinking the same thing.
Lucilia: I understand he's a little odd, but I think being exiled in the Outlands doesn't give him a lot of social interaction chances. (To Doubloon) No offense, Doubloon.
Doubloon just shrugged his shoulders, completely understanding Lucilia's argument.
Worriz: What does he even look like without that mask?
Doubloon looked at Worriz with confusion, which everyone picked up on.
Worriz: That… Is a mask, right?
Doubloon shook his head 'No', scaring everyone a bit.
Laval: Uh… How about this armor Lavertus made? Keeps the plants away.
Doubloon nodded by patting his dark green battle armor and chopped a plant away with a cutlass with a skull hilt.
Eris: Yeah, but I agree with Cragger. Lavertus is hiding something.
Cragger: Probably sending us into a trap.
Worriz: (Shooing some carnivorous plants away) He doesn't have to send us. We're already trapped!
Lucilia: (Annoyed) You're all starting to sound like the adults when Papa first introduced me to your Tribes! Try to have a little faith, you guys.
Suddenly, everyone heard something big heading towards them. Out from the path, Rogon's truck came barreling towards them.
Laval: (Grabbing his little sister and getting clear with the others) Look out!
Rogon's truck plowed through the plants, clearing a new path.
Lucilia: Heh, that works.
Everyone cheered for Rogon… Including Rogon.
Rogon: Yeah! Go, Rogon!
Everyone realized the confusing part of this picture.
Gorzan: Dude, if you're here who's driving your truck?
Rogon: Huh? Hmm, good question.
Lucilia: (Facepalms) Lemme guess. You have it on 'Autopilot'?
Everyone found the truck parked as the hatch opened.
Rogon: (Seeing the Driver's Seat) Just as Lucilia guessed. The autopilot was driving.
Rogon showed his friends a rock with a face drawn on it, much to everyone's confusion.
Lucilia: (Sighs in exasperation) Why am I not surprised?
Rogon: Behind the wheel, he's as solid as a rock.
Doubloon immediately thought it couldn't be any more dangerous than letting a monkey using power tools. Using the truck the rest of the way, the Heroes arrived at the canyon. Down below, the Spiders had the Gorilla Legend trapped.
Gorzan: (Heartbroken tone) Legend Dude?
Lucilia: The Gorilla Legend Beast. He's being held captive by the Spiders.
Down below, one of the Spiders looked different from the others. While her upper body looked normal, her lower half was that of a normal Spider. This was the Spider Queen Spinlyn, the ugliest creature in Chima.
Spinlyn: My trap? It is a work of art.
The Gorilla Legend Beast roared in anger. A smaller Spider walked up to her holding a mirror. He had bandages wrapped on his left arm from disciplinary action to him, a scythe strapped to back, rags for clothing, and his skin pigmentation was light purple. This was Sprawler, the Good Spider.
Spinlyn: (Looking at her reflection) Me? I am a work of art too.
The mirror broke half as if Spinlyn's hideousness made it break. Sprawler put the pieces together. Meanwhile, the Spiders kept holding the Gorilla Legend Beast.
Gorzan: (Crying) Legend Dude.
Lucilia's heart broke seeing Gorzan so sad.
Lucilia: (Hugging him in comfort) I'm so sorry, Gorzan. We're gonna rescue your Legend Beast, I swear.
Laval: Better make that a double promise, sis. Check out the other end of the canyon.
On the other side, the Rhino Legend Beast was webbed up in a makeshift paddock.
Eris: (Seeing Rogon looks sad) Oh, Rogon. I'm so sorry you have to see your Legend Beast like this. Can I get you some rocks for comfort?
What happened next completely caught Eris off guard.
Rogon: (Slight British Accent) Yes, perhaps some random geological by-products would be advantageous in reverse engineering the incarceration mechanism.
Lucilia: (Shocked at what he just said) What did you just say?
Rogon ran back to his truck.
Eris: (Running to the truck with Lucilia catching up) Rogon, are you okay? You sound almost brilliant.
Lucilia: Yeah, that's not like you.
Rogon: (Wheeling his Rogon Roller out) It's just your basic Hyper-Cognitvity Proximity Paradox.
Lucilia: What does that even mean?
Eris just shrugged her shoulder.
Rogon: When a Rhino is near his Legend Beast, he gets smart. (Driving his Roller) Now, if you'll excuse me, I must commence extraction efforts with an idiosyncratic impeller. Lucilia, I believe you should be comforting our simian companion as he has done for you in the past.
Lucilia knew he was right and rushed over to the heartbroken Gorilla.
Gorzan: (Stammering) Bummer.
Lucilia: Gorzan, we're going to free him… I promise.
Gorzan: (Cleaning his eyes) Thanks, Lucilia. I'll figure out a way to free my Legend Dude.
A bee flew onto a nearby flower. The Gorilla Legend Beast managed to get his right leg free, but a Spider Mech re-webbed it.
Cragger: That Gorilla is strong. It looks like the only way the Spiders can keep him trapped is by constantly spinning new webs.
Worriz: (As Lucilia noticed Sprawler sneaking away from Spinlyn) If we could distract those Spiders long enough, it might give Ol' Chunky Monkey down there some time to completely break his webs.
Lucilia: And free that little Spider.
Cragger looked down and spotted Sprawler. He wondered if that Spider was the one who helped his parents.
Laval: It's a good idea, but how do you distract a bunch of Spiders with a giant spider web?
Out of nowhere, a fly came and buzzed around Gorzan.
Gorzan: (Trying to shoo the fly away) I'm working on a plan, dudes! But this fly keeps distracting me.
Lucilia growled like a lion and pounced at the fly.
Laval: (As Lucilia is about to eat the fly) That's it.
Gorzan: Uh, what?
Laval stopped his little sister from eating the bug and whispered his plan.
Cragger: You know, that just might work!
Lucilia: Good thinking, big brother.
Rogon carried a big rock over and added it to an abacus.
Doubloon came to Eris and pointed at Rogon.
Eris: I know, I'm confused too. Rogon, are you sure you're alright?
Rogon: (Scratching his head) Aside from custodial conundrums, I am superlatively sanguine.
Doubloon couldn't help but remember his friend, Monkey Wretch.
Eris: (Chuckling awkwardly) Right. Y'know, you usually just bang your head against rocks. You don't build weird… Counting things with them.
Rogon: But how else would I compute a multi-dimensional algorithm to reverse the trigonometric angles of the incarceration coefficient?
Doubloon's head spun rapidly in confusion.
Eris: (Stopping it while sighing) I think I miss the old Rogon.
Lucilia ran by on all fours, trying to catch the same fly from before. Seeing Lucilia act like the playful kitten she was made Eris smile a bit.
Eris: (Chuckles) Lucilia, what are you doing?
Lucilia: (Opens her hands to see that she failed to catch the fly) Pouncing.
Eris picked her friend up and hugged her. Meanwhile, Laval and the others were gathering wood, leaves, tall grass, mushrooms, & a beehive and started building them together on Rogon's truck.
Laval: So, whatcha think? Can we distract some Spiders on a giant web with… (Revealing a giant fly) A giant fly?
Gorzan: I don't get it.
Doubloon scratched his head in confusion.
Cragger: Spiders love to catch flies on their webs. So, look: Wings, legs, eyes, antenna. It's a fly.
Everyone else remained skeptical.
Razar: Eh you know, Rogon built some kind of super advanced calculating device to save his Beast, my friend.
They all looked to see Rogon had built a giant abacus made entirely out of stone while the bars were made from metal.
Worriz: Yeah, not to knock the big fake bug, but maybe we should see what Rhino-Brain over there thinks.
Rogon was writing down calculations as everyone came up.
Cragger: Quick question, Rogon. Since your Legend Beast makes you so smart… Can you take a look at your truck and tell us what you think?
Lucilia: (Seeing the Fly disguise) Wow, that's pretty good.
Cragger: (Picking up the Lion Princess) Thank you, Lucilia. I'm glad you got it.
Rogon: Holy Sedimentary! How could I have missed this?
Worriz: You mean the goofy wings and the eyes?
Rogon: (Running to his truck) No, the anomalous weight differential disguise by Lucilia's supplies and the auto-pilot improbability statistics! (Boarding his truck) That was no autopilot commanding my mechanism of steering. (Everyone else boarding) It was just a rock with a very pretty face painted on it. (Walking to a blanket) Real-time operational activities were actually executed by… (Revealing a female Rhino stowaway) A stowaway Rhino by the name of Rinona.
Lucilia: Busted.
Rinona: (Chuckling in embarrassment) Hi, Rogon.
Back home, the Bats still engulfed Mount Cavora.
Lagravis: Steady… Steady… Save what little power you have left for when they try leaving with our Chi.
The recent Spiders ran with more Chi as the Bat vehicles came to pick them up. Sparacon and the Spiders exited the tunnel with their plunder of Chi before jumping into the claws of the Bat jets.
Lagravis: Fire!
The Tribes opened fired and the Eagle aircrafts gave chase. The Bat vehicles got nailed and plummeted to the ground. The Orbs of Chi fell into the swamp as the Crocs came and fished them out.
Crooler: Hmm. A brilliant plan, mother. (Walking to her mother in the cockpit) The Lions shoot down the Chi, and then we pick it up and keep it for all for ourselves!
Crooler laughed as Queen Crunket glared at her daughter.
Crunket: Ugh! Crooler. (Grabs the Chi) Our new enemy is too powerful. We must work WITH the Lions, not against them.
She gives the Chi to Crawley who tosses it in a space filled with a load of the same thing.
Crooler: Yes, of course. That's what we should tell them.
Queen Crunket sighed in annoyance, then her thoughts turned to the young Spider who saved her.
Queen Crunket: Please, Cragger. Save him.
Two Crocs, Crawley and Crug, took a raft to fish out more Chi.
Crawley: Ah. Finally, some new Chi. I can't wait to use it to power up all our gear. (As a Spider got nabbed by a Spider) Right, Crug? (Seeing his friend gone) Crug?
One by one, the Crocs got pulled into the trees. Only the Royal mother and daughter remained.
Queen Crunket: The Lions are our allies and don't want to hear another word about it.
Comedically, the Spiders nabbed Crooler the second Queen Crunket said that.
Queen Crunket: Thank you for understanding.
Queen Crunket saw her daughter and guards were gone. She turned and saw Sparacon and his forces with her.
Queen Crunket: No, not again! (As the Spiders fired webs at her and she got stuck to the vehicle) HELP!
While Queen Crunket was in trouble, Laval and the company were trying to understand the situation with Rinona.
Lucilia: So, why exactly did you follow us?
Worriz: Not important, Lucy. So, we have to not only save the Legend Beasts, but now we have to babysit some stowaway Rhino!
Annoyed, Lucilia stomped on Worriz's left foot.
Lucilia: (As Worriz hopped in pain) Sorry about him. We're on an important mission right now.
Rinona: I know, I've been helping. I've already saved your hides plenty!
Doubloon pointed to the truck as his guess.
Lucilia: Doubloon is guessing you've been driving.
Everyone remembered when Rogon's truck saved Laval and Gorzan yesterday.
Rinona: He guessed right! That was me driving.
Eris: But what are you doing here?
Rinona: Protecting Rogon. (Hugging Rogon) He's very special to me and I don't want to see him get hurt.
Lucilia: Well, we could use the help.
Eris: Wait, special how…?
Laval: Look, we need to get moving. Since Rogon's figuring out how to free the Rhino, think you can drive us down to the Gorilla?
Eris: (Mad) What?!
Rinona drove the truck down the path while Eris, Bladvic, Razar, and Doubloon stayed with Rogon.
Eris: She's a stowaway and now she's driving their whole mission?!
Razar: Mmm. Sounds like someone is jealous, yes?
Eris: (Turning to them) Me?! I'm not jealous! Ha! Why would I be jealous of her?
Bladvic: She's Rogon's special friend.
Doubloon turned his face to happy and silently laughed.
Eris: I can see you smiling, Mister!
Doubloon stepped back with a smile.
Eris: Besides, it doesn't mean anything. Right, Rogon?
Rogon: (Moving the abacus beads) Technically, a special friend is one who bears a unique attachment or affection for a subject.
Eris: (Worried Attachment? Affection? Oh, stop being so smart and finish your rescue math!
Doubloon turned Eris' head to a heart he drew in the ground. Annoyed, Eris slapped Doubloon's face and his head rapidly spun.
Razar: He may be silent, but quite the jokester, yes?
Rogon: Completion on the solution is imminent. (Moving beads) Just crunching some final numbers.
Meanwhile, Queen Crunket and her guards were in a bit of a pickle. All they could do was watch the Spiders steal the recovered Chi.
Sparacon: Can you really see with only two eyes? (Raising his left arm folding his back appendages inward) How many arms am I holding up?
Queen Crunket: One. NO! FOUR!
The Spiders laughed mockingly, thinking they had superior eyesight.
Queen Crunket: Ugh. Enough already! My vision's fine. You got what you came for. Now go!
Sparacon was handed a blaster and seemingly aimed it at Queen Crunket.
Queen Crunket: What are you doing?!
Sparacon shot a massive hole in the ship that made a whole bunch of water pour into it. The Spiders laughed at their deed.
Queen Crunket: We're sinking! We can't swim if we're tied up!
The Spiders kept laughing as they started to leave. Suddenly, they heard a noise that sounded like it was coming from everywhere and nowhere. It was ShadoWind and his Speedor.
Spider: No! Not THAT guy again!
ShadoWind landed safely parallel to the Spiders. They fired their webs at his Speedor, but he turned the tables on them and drove his Speedor around them, making their own webs tie them up. ShadoWind dismounted from his Speedor and walked up to the Crocodiles.
Queen Crunket: (As ShadoWind approached them after drawing Doubloon's second cutlass) You… Saving me again? (As ShadoWind started cutting her free) I hear they call you ShadoWind. (As ShadoWind started to leave) You may be a mystery rider, but somehow, I feel like I know you.
ShadoWind left without saying a word.
Crug: (Still stuck) Uh… A little help here?
Meanwhile, the Trojan Fly was moved into position. Gorzan led the group into buzzing.
Worriz: Forget it. This Wolf doesn't buzz.
In the end, Peer Pressure got the best of Worriz, and he started to buzz. The Spiders all saw the truck and got distracted… except for Sprawler. He spotted the hatch as it opened and took it as an opportunity to escape. He just first had to cut the Gorilla Legend Beast free.
Sprawler: (The Gorilla Legend Beast see him sawing his web restraints) Just give me a bit of time and we'll get out of here, okay?
The Great Mellow had faith in the young Spider and gave him a friendly smile & nodded.
Meanwhile, the Spider gathered at the disguised truck.
Spinlyn: Oh, my! A giant buzzing fly!
Spider: Uh, if it's a fly, why isn't it flying?
Spinlyn: Well, obviously, Sparratus, its paralyzed by my ravishing beauty, right?
Sparratus: I-I will nod my head in agreement, if I wasn't paralyzed by your ravishing beauty.
Sprawler gagged as he kept sawing.
Spinlyn: Splendid! Now let's devour that fantastic fly!
All the Spider except Sprawler charged at the truck.
Sprawler: (Finish cutting) Okay, now's our chance. Slow and steady.
The Gorilla Legend Beast pulled his right arm free, Sprawler finished sawing his left foot free. Unfortunately, his escape or Sprawler's betrayal didn't go unnoticed. The Spiders stopped running to the truck and turned around.
Gorzan: (Jumping out) For the Legend Dude!
Cragger, Laval, and Worriz followed Gorzan into battle.
Lucilia: (Drawing her katana) Wait for me!
The Spiders brought their mech and began to recapture the Gorilla Legend Beast while their guards kept the Heroes at bay. Sprawler drew his scythe and tried to save him, but he was swatted aside. Gorzan saw what he was trying to do.
Sprawler: (Trying to fight) Save him, please!
Gorzan: Dudes! It's the good Spider!
Lucilia: (Fighting a Spider) Well, don't hurt him!
A Spider pounced onto Sprawler, much to Gorzan's horror.
Gorzan: (Grabbing Laval's arm) Dude, I need some Chi!
Gorzan pointed to Sprawler and his Legend Beast in trouble.
Sprawler: (Trying to hold the Spiders back) Hurry! I can't hold them off for long!
Laval: But we only have a few Orbs!
Gorzan: Dude, it's my Legend Dude!
Cragger: (Shooting) That Spider saved my parents, Laval! What would you do if it was your father?!
Laval knew he had a point & saw this as a worthy reason and tossed Gorzan one of the few Orbs of Chi they had. Gorzan inserted the Chi into his chest and gave a mighty roar. He glared at the Spiders and one ran.
Spinlyn: Guess I'll have to take care of this myself… But I do so want to look my ravishing best while I destroy him.
Spinlyn turned and went into her personal cave.
Spinlyn: Into the beauty hole.
Gorzan fought his hardest against his arachnid assailants, giving his Legend Beast the time he needed to free himself. He saw a Spider Mech approaching Gorzan and jumped onto it to destroy it.
Gorzan: Dude.
The two primates fist bumped each other.
Gorzan: You ARE the Great Mellow.
The Gorilla Legend Beast pointed to Sprawler still in trouble and roared, like he asking Gorzan to save him.
Sprawler: (Barely defending himself) Help!
Gorzan: (Racing towards him) Hold on!
Gorzan climbed up, drew his staff, and knocked Sprawler's assailants.
Sprawler: Thanks!
Gorzan: (Helping him up) You're safe now, little dude. What's your name?
Sprawler: Sprawler.
Gorzan led Sprawler down as he joined the fight. Meanwhile, Eris saw the commotion from the cliff.
Eris: Now's our chance to free the Rhino Beast, Rogon.
Rogon: Just one more calculation…
Out of the blue, he broke the abacus and let all the rocks fall.
Eris: Oh, no! (As Rogon jumped off the abacus) Now you'll never figure out a solution!
Rogon: Correction: That is the solution. (As the rocks caused a controlled avalanche to the Rhino Legend Beast) It's a simple spherical target reduction system. (As the boulders banged against the Rhino Beast's prison) What some of you refer to as 'Bowling'.
The last boulder slammed against the cage and completely destroyed it
Eris: Yes!
Rogon and Eris got onto the Rogon Roller and sped down into the fight.
Rogon: Impending vertical deployment at nonsynchronous geologic strata.
Eris: Huh?
Rogon: I'm jumping into the canyon by that rock.
Eris: Huh?!
Rogon jumped off his Roller and landed perfectly onto his Legend Beast.
Eris: No way. He did not just do that!
Lucilia: (Wrestling a Spider) He DID!
Eris wasn't paying attention and crashed into a spider web. Meanwhile, Rogon and his Legend Beast were fighting their way to the others.
Rogon: (Helping Lucilia onto his Legend Beast) I have you, my mysterious companion.
Lucilia: Thanks, Rogon. Glad to know you'll always know who your friends are.
Rogon: Indubitably.
Suddenly, two Spider mechs came at them but to their fortune, the Gorilla Legend Beast came to the rescue with Gorzan and Sprawler on his back. He knocked the two mechs aside and cleared the way. Laval fought back to the rig.
Laval: Everyone, back into the Fly!
Worriz: (Retreating with Cragger) Can we just call it a truck again?
Lucilia: (Teasing) Buzz, buzz, buzz!
Cragger: HA! I always liked you, Lucilia!
Everyone got aboard and made a break for safety. Everyone cheered that their mission was a success… Until Rogon made an observation on his companions' numbers.
Rogon: (Hops off his Legend Beast) Hmm… The speed and ground clearance of our mobile transport indicates a shortage of personal capacity excluding our additional rescued arachnid.
Laval and Cragger: Huh?
Rinona: (Realizing what Rogon was saying) The vehicle is too light. Are we missing anyone?
Everyone looked at each other and Lucilia immediately saw who the Spiders had.
Lucilia: (Upset) ERIS! We have got to go back!
Laval held his sister back until Rogon snatched her as he rode his Legend Beast to rescue Eris.
Rogon: Release our aviary companion or face the unbound fortitude of our wherewithal!
The Spiders looked at each other having no idea what Rogon had just said.
Lucilia: (Drawing her Katana) Give us back our friend or be in a world of hurt!
Sparratus: We don't take orders from any freaks.
Lucilia: (Snarls lividly) WHAT'D YOU CALL ME?!
Rogon: That was a tactical error on your part. (Lucilia snarling violently) My adopted feline companion doesn't like being called that.
Lucilia jumped from the Rhino Beast and pounced onto Sparratus.
Rogon: (To the Rhino Legend) Leave that one to her. The rest are ours.
Rogon's Legend Beast nods, jumps down, and frees Eris with his horn, scaring away the Spiders. Lucilia kept knocking Sparratus around until she sliced off his left fang.
Sparratus: MY TOOTH!
Lucilia grabbed it as Rogon got Eris free.
Sparratus: SHE STOLE MY FANG!
Eris and Lucilia got to the Roller as Spinlyn came out.
Spinlyn: Battle is easy. Beauty is hard. Today, I shall triumph at both!
Spinlyn saw the trio leaving and fired her webs at them, but nothing happened each time. Upon arriving back, Rogon launched his special surprise for the Spider Queen. A catapult flings Rogon's Autopilot into the air, heading straight for Spinlyn.
Spinlyn: (As the rock came to her) Is that rock smiling?
Spinlyn got knocked to the ground.
Rogon: Yes!
Lucilia: Great shot!
Spinlyn picked herself off the ground and found the impact cracked her left fang. She frantically looked for a mirror before she managed to find one. But when she saw her reflection, she was absolutely horrified.

Everyone opened fired on the Black Cloud. The Bats knew they were outgunned and retreated. The Tribes cheered on their victory.

Back with the others, Sprawler followed everyone into Lavertus' home at a distance. Cragger went back to comfort him.

Sprawler undid his bandage and showed nasty looking scars on his arm. So nasty, Laval immediately covered his sister's eyes.
Cragger: (Helping Sprawler rebandage his arm) Don't worry. We'll take you to live in Chima… (Seeing Sprawler's confusion) Bright Lands. But first we have to save the other Legend Beasts and my father, okay?
Sprawler nodded, understanding Cragger's necessity.

Lucilia found some of her toys her father sneaked into her supplies and Sprawler shyly walked to her. Everyone then started looking for Lavterus.

Doubloon nodded, saying his friend was okay.
Cragger: We really need to find out more about him.

As if on cue, Lavertus came out.
Lavertus: Oh hey, you're back! Didn't expect you home so early. (Spotting Sprawler) Lighty, good to see you pal.

Everyone realized all the others were mostly red and just shrugged their shoulders.
Laval: Well, we rescued two more Legend Beasts.
Lavertus: I know. I saw 'em out there.
Cragger: You did? But we just got here? Did we… Pass you in the jungle?
Lucilia: Yeah, were you scouting?

The young Spider gasped in excitement before he immediately took a cookie and began eating it.

Everyone decided to take a cookie.
Laval: I think you may be right, Cragger. We should keep our eye on… (Having a cookie) Mmm! These are amazing!
Lucilia: (Eating two cookies) You said it, big brother!

Everyone kept eating cookies while Lucilia made sure Sprawler had some. Later, Eris talked with Rogon outside.
Eris: So Rogon… Are you enjoying those exquisite confectionaries.
Rogon: Uh… huh? I-I don't know about that. But these yummies are awesome! (Eat the rest of his cookie) And they taste even better with rocks!
Rogon chomps rocks under his teeth and walks away.
Eris: (As Rinona and Lucilia came up to her) What happened to him?
Rinona: The Rhino Beast is too far away to boost Rogon's intelligence now.
Lucilia: She's right. Now he's back to the lovable muscle friend we know.
Rogon laughed as he started bashing rocks against his head repeatedly.
Rinona: So, are you sad Rogon's back to his simple old self again?
Lucilia was about to chime in when she saw a fly buzzing around and start growling at it. Her predatory instinct took control, and the human pounced at it.
Eris: (Smiling) No. Actually, I think I kinda like him better this way.

The fly landed on Rogon's horn and Lucilia pounced right onto her brother's friend. The two girls shared a laugh at the sight, unaware a large black bird watch them under the cover of night.
