Things that we do out of love.

Calamity wasn't frustrated. Not even angry. She also had no desire to grab someone and tear off their limbs one by one. Not any more. Now she was completely calm. She did splatter the walls with her own blood when she tried to break them by banging on them with her fists. The sparkling slut made sure the walls and other defenses could withstand her fury. A hypocrite, she talked so much about how the people of her kingdom valued freedom and justice, and she built a prison using Horde Prime's technology. She used her magic tricks to trap her here. This detention was absolutely against the law and no charges were brought against her. She doubted that the Queen would be allowed to detain civilians like that, without the slightest reason. They should send some guards or a sheriff to get her. She would kill them, of course, after all, they would ask for it when they went against her, but you had to follow certain legal procedures if you called yourself a law-abiding ruler. In fact, she was the only victim here. First, this sneaky mercenary attacked her, she must skin alive those inept cultists she gave her to. And then that damn Hell Knight tried to murder her by stabbing her in the back. She was technically defenseless! Of course, the Lady of the Blades didn't have a chance to take life of being so magnificent as her, but it didn't matter! It was an attempted murder. Any lawyer in a civilized country would defend her, but what could you expect from a country where beasts could hold the highest state offices?

But it wasn't the obvious injustice of being imprisoned here that was the worst. These women ignored her! They rejected her generous offer of help! They believed that, despite all their immense ignorance, they would be able to cope with what was coming! Those words... They were the worst... How dare she call her that!

„Princess of Nothingness! Let the winged bitch go to hell!" she screamed and, to emphasize her words, she hit the energy shield constituting the door with all her strength. She felt all the bones, from her hand to her forearm, being crushed by the force of the impact. It didn't hurt her, she never felt pain, just a slight discomfort rather warning her not to attract suspicion with her divine gifts. Immediately after, her limbs regenerated, but it didn't change anything, she was still trapped, and had to wait for someone from outside to help her. Shadow Weaver was imprisoned, either due to her own stupidity or soft heart. Why didn't she come to this woman when she was at her peak, but now, when she was a shuddering wreck? She wasn't sure that cursed sorceress would want to help her. After all, the relationship between them had always been strained, through no fault of hers of course, and now the dark sorceress had an excuse to abandon her here, because she still had a mission to complete and such nonsense. Although since she was imprisoned it didn't matter anyway, she only wished that the locals were like the Azlanti and would do to her mentor something similar to what happened to the queen's mother... Fortunately, she also had other allies, much more loyal and giving her due respect, although unfortunately their competences left much to be desired, the best proof of which was the fact that they allowed that damn mercenary to escape. Could she count on them not to let her down this time? Unfortunately, she had already gotten used to the fact that life was not fair for her and that she could only count on herself... That's why she started implementing a plan... Sadly, it required time, but fortunately, she had enough of it. She smiled to herself as she used a long claw to cut into her skin and began to draw a secret circle with her own blood. "Oh Blackwind, I missed you," she thought nostalgically.

Since Catra, Glimmer, and Adora's visit, she had been kneeling on the floor, staring at the wall. She failed. She let down Nyarlathotep, Catra, Glimmer, Lonnie, Mikah ... She let everyone down, but honestly, she should be used to it by now. Throughout her life, she let down those who counted on her. Yes, she was the great disappointment... She always looked for blame in others, others were responsible for her mistakes and failures... And in fact, her whole life was a failure... She always had big plans, big ambitions, but in fact, they were all lies. The delusions of a bitter mind intoxicated with power and alcohol. She saw herself as a great heroine, a savior who would finally bring new order to Etheria. Whom everyone will admire for her merits and tremble before her wrath... She was no better in her pride and self-righteousness than Calamity. Even now she imagined that she would save everyone and be the savior of all Etheria. That all you have to do is just say sorry and everything will be forgiven, and the daughters to whom she was never a mother will throw themselves into her arms and be a happy family. She hasn't changed at all since she believed she could be forgiven after all she had done... There is no respite for the wicked.

But she had to escape from here somehow, because she knew that Etheria was in so many dangers... Except she wasn't sure how to do it. The circle that surrounded her was created by Glimmer, and she was a powerful Sorceress, even she herself become more powerful once her ritual was improved. She saw that the Queen made a few mistakes while casting it, she was really exhausted, and she herself had learned a lot during her stay on Carurystal. Perhaps she could break it, but not without alerting the guards, and then she would have to fight. First with Brightmoon's guard , and then with Glimmer and the rest... It would be pointless... Even if she had enough power to win this fight, but that wasn't the only point. She didn't want to leave a trail of dead bodies behind her, to become a symbol of betrayal and destruction again... She had to get out of here in another, more subtle way... She was, after all, a master of shadow magic, a mistress of deceit and trickery. She could sneak and hide in the dark. She knew something about illusion magic. She was unable to teleport from here, because while freeing Eti, she discovered that the castle was secured against teleportation attempts by unauthorized persons, both those wanting to get in and out. Lessons were probably learned from her intrusion into the palace during the war. However, it was a problem she was able to deal with. All she had to do was get outside the castle walls... Only... Still the biggest problem was breaking the circle in such a way that no one, especially Glimmer, would realize that she had gotten out... She knew several ways. She had known how to move to the shadow dimension for a long time. although in the old days she rarely used it because it drained her power too quickly... Now she had a chance... She could also move to one of the more distant planes, the existence of which she learned about only after she left Etheria. She could also summon one of the creatures from both the lower planes or the Darkness Between The Stars. Maybe for example Byakhe, which would make it easier for her to get out of here... She just knew it would take time, and according to Catra, she might not have much of it. Halo, one of Star's sisters... She only met her once, during that Battle, when the fate of the First Rebellion was sealed... She and her sister Pulsar tried to prevent her from performing that ritual, with Mikah helping them. They had a chance to win then, they would have succeeded if Neutriono had joined the fight, but the third of the Star Sisters had remained on the Isles... She was prepared for someone to try to interrupt her. She ordered additional soldiers to hide , and also used a few tricks... She struck Halo with dark magic, the woman deserved respect for surviving her attack, and she tested a certain nanite plague on Pulsar, which she brought back from that one and only trip to Beast Island, from which she and Hordak barely escaped. Then she heard that Halo had managed to escape with her sister's body. After that, she was no longer interested in her fate. The islands withdrew from the war and never supported the Rebellion again. They are no longer relevant. Now, however, she would have to answer for what she had done to them, another sin she would have to face... She wasn't sure what Halo had planned for her, but in the old days she had heard many dark rumors about the secrets hidden by the inhabitants of the islands. Back then, she took them for gossip and fairy tales, but life taught her that there was much more than a grain of truth hidden in dark tales. There was one more thing... The plague that Pulsar had infected didn't kill her... She tested it on several insects and learned how it worked... Pulsar wasn't dead, as most of the planet's inhabitants thought... No... She condemned her to a fate worse than death. Will the other sisters want to repay her in the same way?

She knew that staring blankly ahead would do nothing to help her plan her escape, but she didn't have the strength to focus on that. Catra told her the truth, she almost destroyed her life for no reason, just because she was full of malicious rage... There is no redemption for her. But she wasn't looking for it, at least not at first... Asindesa was right. She was playing with their love, and yet she had to be aware that she would bring danger to her beloved... She knew that who she was and who she served would make her choose between her order and the woman she loved. She should have told her everything before she stole her heart... No... She should never have approached her. This was the only way she could save her... Save them both... But she chose differently... she thought that somehow everything would work out. Was she under the illusion that the Lady of the Blades wouldn't guess anything? She abandoned her alone in the midst of this terrible truth, leaving her to the mercy of creatures like Lady Cala and the Lord Admiral. She had to struggle alone with her shame ... and if anyone in the order found out the truth... Devils and demons, she sentenced her to death... This sudden revelation made her heart freeze for a moment, struck with fear. She did it again. First, she sent Mikah to Beast Island, and then she used Catra, to escape from prison knowing what punishment awaited her from Hordak. Now, she did it third time. She thought she had become at least a little better, but in fact there was as much evil in her heart as before... She lived only to hurt her loved ones. When she realized this, she hid her face in her hands, realizing that there was no forgiveness for her. Tears streamed down her face, but as her mother used to say, tears are worth as much as raindrops...

Nightgale felt almost no fear. Almost... But she was determined and sure of what she was going to do. She felt like nothing could stop her... Not even She-Ra and the princesses... She couldn't fail, she just couldn't! She knew what she was about to do was unimaginable, terrifying, and maybe just plain stupid, but she had to do it… She had to save her mother…

„Mortals can do incredible things in the name of love." said Aravos, floating next to her. Star Saihe smiled slightly thoughtfully.

„Apparently you've never loved anyone... Has anyone ever loved you?„ she asked quietly, hoping that no one would be interested in the fact that she was talking to herself.

„Well, I once had a sister... She loved me... „ Aaravos said , smiling much happier than before. Touched by sudden anxiety, she asked.

„And what happened to her?"

The strange, horned wizard sighed dramatically before speaking.

„She died, it's a very sad story." he made a sad face, but there was no sadness in his unnatural, sparkling eyes … she shuddered. "What kind of people do I work with? she thought, but immediately answered herself. "With those that are, they will help me save those I love." She loved her mother, she was sure of that as much as anything in the world. Even though she had known her for a dozen or so days, she loved her, she didn't expect it. She had long known that Shadow Weaver was alive and would return. Back then she thought of her with bitter fatalism, expecting him to reject her, just like her father had done... That's why she loved her... because she accepted her for who she was, or rather what she was... Only Scarlet and Frosta knew the truth about her. But the former was dead, and Frosta… Her mother wasn't aiming at the Ice Princess, she was sure of that. Her target was Lady Ka. This didn't surprise her , deep down she felt that there was something wrong with this woman. Lady Cala... She was an alien being, beyond the realm of mortal morality... But Lady Ka... Her evil and villainy was more down to earth, but that made it much more repulsive. She had no idea what had happened between Lady Ka and Shadow Weaver, but her mother must have had a good reason to do it... As for Frosta ... The girl survived, but remained in a coma. She wasn't sure how she could be helped, she wasn't a healer, though she doubted healing magic could do the trick. She was quite knowledgeable in the Dark Arts, and she had an extraordinary new teacher who had knowledge beyond the reach of anyone on Etheria . Perhaps with Aaravos' help she could do something for her, but unfortunately she had to choose. However, if she succeeds in what she set out to do... She will have enough power to save everyone.

Taking Nightgale's identity wasn't difficult. She didn't use much Magic on this mission, and just in case, she took with her everything needed to assume the identity of Castaspelia's assistant . No one stopped her, in fact some were glad that another sorceress was present in the castle, especially since the Head Sorceress and Mikah left the castle without telling anyone what they were going to do, although many assumed that the queen had sent them to investigate the Night Attack... She didn't witness the monster's arrival, but she deduced what it was from the description. No one was sure who defeated this creature. Some believed that Glimmer did it with the help of some strange old woman, others said that it was a terrible dragon serving the Lord Admiral who devoured the monster. She was most interested in the version that the monster was defeated by a tall guy very similar to She-Ra... She guessed who it was. She should take a closer look at Kyle, especially his sword... Before, she couldn't find time for him because so much had happened in her life, but now she would have to take an interest in him. The boy could be extremely useful not only to the Rebellion, but especially to the Creeping Chaos. He could also be a huge threat and she might have to kill him in the future... To her surprise, she found that this thought made her sad. She joined the People's Rebellion with the intention of abandoning it as soon as it was no longer useful. She expected that with one word from her Master, she would have to stab them in the back. However, during this time she managed to like them. She did not share the ideals of the Rebellion, and she never cared about great matters. Even the Creeping Chaos she served only because of the promise made to her... She didn't know how they would react to her true form. Lonnie would definitely be furious since even Kyle drew his sword at the sight of her, although she wasn't surprised at him. After all, the mere sight of Shadow Weaver supposedly made him faint, and she looked a lot like her mother...

Even though everyone in the castle was scared, no one stopped her as she made her way through the halls of Brightmoon. Even though she stood out even in this form, everyone recognized her as Castaspeli's Assistant . During the wedding preparations, she often ran around the castle to do things for the absent"minded sorceress, so everyone got used to seeing her and no one thought anything of it... Perhaps if she stayed here for a few days, she would start to seem suspicious , but when she frees her mother, she will she was going to leave Brighfmoon for good... Well, she would have to come up with a new cover in the future... Or maybe not... No one knew how long she would work for Lonnie, maybe she would leave Etheria soon... although she had no idea where she could go, after all, the Galaxy was so unimaginably huge … Well, she will do as Nyarlthotep's will dictates , it is always better to agree with her, unless one has the courage to face the consequences of defying the Great Outer God … She wasn't going to do that, after all, she was but a speck in the wind compared to his immeasurable power. But now was not the time to think about such matters. The task before her was difficult enough.

She stood in front of the door to her mother's cell. Now she had to convince the guards to let her in.

„Who are you and what are you looking for here?" said a stocky woman with a visible beer belly, which was not completely covered by the guard's armor. She bowed politely, but not humbly, and said.

"I am Nightgale , assistant to Head Sorceress Castaspelia, and I have come here by order of Queen Glimmer, who has determined that certain spells securing the prisoner's cell must be improved or there is a risk that Hordak's former right-hand man will escape, and we cannot afford that." she said in the most confident and authoritative tone she could muster. Fortunately, her father also put some valuable things in her head... After all, he wanted her to be his right hand, she had to be able to lead people, wasn't it? The two guards thought for a moment, slowly growing paler and paler, most likely imagining various terrifying visions of Shadow Weaver escaping from prison, until they finally looked at each other and nodded.

„Yes, this person cannot be allowed to escape from prison. My husband and children are waiting for me at home... „ said the stocky woman, and together with the second guard they stepped away from the door... She smiled and as soon as she crossed the threshold, she added.

„Don't disturb me, no matter what you hear. Shadow Weaver will resist and if I lose concentration, the consequences will be dire." there was a theatrical pathos in her voice, a trait she inherited from her mother… In a sense…

As soon as she entered the bedroom converted into a cell, she saw her mother kneeling and hiding her face in her hands. She knew that Catra had visited her earlier, as well as the Lady of the Blades and the Lord Admiral. She guessed that the encounter with her adoptive daughter had driven the Dark Sorcerer to such a state. For a moment she felt a burning hatred for the cat girl, but then she dimmed it. She understood that the feline woman had reasons to hate Shadow Weaver, but now was not the time to judge who had better reasons to hate who.

„Hello mother, I have come to free you...„ she said to the most hated woman on the entire planet.

The voice broke her from her despairing stupor. She turned around and saw a woman she didn't immediately recognize. After a while she remembered seeing her in Mystacor when she visited Castaspella , but then the words she had spoken reached her hopeless mind and she felt her heart fill with an unusual mixture of joy and anxiety.

„Nightgale? Have you come back for me? But how… Why!"

Nightgale smiled slyly.

„Nobody knows who I really am. I told you that this figure was Castaspeli's assistant ... No one in the entire castle was surprised by her presence, and I managed to get here without much difficulty!" There was so much pride in her daughter's voice that she smiled, but then the girl became serious and said.

„We don't have much time, I suspect someone will be here in an hour or two, although I heard that Catra is going to give you to Halo... Anyway, I don't know if she'll want to visit you... „ said Nightgale and started to lay out some magic equipment. . She felt a twinge of anxiety…

„What are you going to do?" she asked, looking at the girl focused on her activity.

„I need to deactivate the circle that's keeping you here. But it would be very difficult to do it without anyone sensing that it was being tampered with. Unfortunately, I have neither the power nor the skill to manipulate the structure of spells. But there is a way... Even if it fails, you will be free... Use it... „ She felt uncertainty in her voice. After a moment, however, the young woman shook her head and added. "But it should work now... This time it will be different. It must be... „ now the younger sorceress's voice was so confident, as if she wanted to convince herself of her own words. She looked again at the items her Daughter had brought her, and then she began to understand what she intended to do.

„NO! Do not do this!" she shouted to Nightgale, but she did not stop preparing for the ritual."

„I'm sorry, Mother, but I have no choice... This is the best way to save you... „ Nightgale began to draw a circle on the floor...

„This can't work... You can't do it without another person... who you'll have to sacrifice... That's how it was designed... I wanted to do it differently, but it didn't work... Mikah helped me, and he was always more powerful than me... And I had decades of experience and you...„ she tried to reason with her daughter, but she smiled darkly.

„My father put into my head some of what you could...I also had good teachers... Excellent ones indeed... „ said Nightgale .

„You don't have enough power anyway." there was a plea in her voice.

„After the destruction of Heart, Etheria is filled with magic... I can also use all the spells that were cast here by the queen...„ Nightgale was just finishing preparing to perform the ritual...

„It doesn't work like that... It was never possible... Please stop doing it... I... I have accepted my fate... I lost everything... Absolutely everything... Don't ruin your life like I ruined mine." she knelt before the magic shield. But Nightgale didn't respond, so she looked at the door and started screaming. – Guard Stop her! This woman wants to set me free! She... She's going to summon something terrible... A monster as terrible as Horde Prime! If you stop her, you will become heroes... Like Adora... Like She-Ra... Please... „ she screamed and begged, but no one heard her... She looked around and saw the sound-dampening device that the Lord Admiral had brought... After what happened, Lady Ka forgot to take them... Enraging Antares, she caused the death of her daughter... And then the entire room was enveloped in red light...

Calamity raised an eyebrow when she heard that outside the corridor where her cell was. The two guards were talking to someone, for a moment she wasn't sure who it was, but then she recognized the voice and smiled to herself. This is true loyalty! Have Horde Prime or Shadow Weaver ever experienced anything like this? Unlimited devotion even in times of defeat? No, such a thing could be obtained through true faith ignited by an experience of divinity... It is said that the mistress of a feline creature once invaded the Horde Prime's flagship , but this was dictated by lust, not higher values. The guards left the corridor, and Klementine stood in front of the Energy barrier . As soon as the girl saw her, she smiled brightly at her. She didn't really like that smile, it definitely lacked reverence and respect, but it was satisfying nonetheless.

„I told them that the queen sent me here to get a confession from you, but I need to have a moment of privacy with you... But I guess they interpreted it differently, because first one whispered something in the other's ear, and then they looked at me sadly and compassion. „ Klementine blushed, She felt a surge of intense anger, because the locals would probably consider the absurd idea of her pleading guilty, despite her innocence obvious to anyone with even an ounce of common sense. "But we have to hurry, because they didn't give us much time... I stole my mother's access cards, they didn't deactivate them because of the respect they had for her." the girl grimaced and only then remembered the reason why she came here. She smiled at the girl as kindly as she could and said.

„Thank you, Klementine . Your loyalty and dedication will be rewarded." she said, although personally she considered thanking her for fulfilling her duties as an insult to her dignity, and then, seeing in the girl's eyes that she wanted something more, she approached her, embraced her and kissed her. It was really very nice! She would have to do this more often, with women and men, this and much more.

„But now we really have to go." Klementine looked at her with the same strange eyes that Catra and Adora looked at each other. She almost grimaced because she really didn't like this association, and then she said to call the girl to order.

„How are you going to deal with the guards?"

The girl was confused when she heard this question.

„I have a gun loaded with tranquilizer darts and a grenade with stun gas... and two gas masks... „ she explained and lowered her head. She suppressed a resigned sigh and said.

I don't need a mask... But you better leave the fighting to me. „ they said, smiling warmly at the girl... And then the guards' patience ran out and they entered. Seeing that the prisoner was outside the cell, they stopped dead in their tracks and this was their biggest and last mistake in their lives. With her superhuman speed, she leapt towards them, and a bone blade emerged from her forearm. She stuck it in the chest of one of the guards, killing him instantly. His brother-in-arms grabbed his energy Halberd. He was going to use it to shock the fugitive, but she grabbed it by the steel shaft and pulled it towards her, tearing it out of his hands. He reached for the gun at his waist, but she tripped him with a kick and then crushed his hand by stomping on it with her foot. The soldier let out a strangled scream, but he didn't have time to alert anyone because she grabbed him by the neck, crushed his throat, and then dragged him effortlessly to her cell. There, she lifted him above the summoning circle she had drawn with her own blood and slit his throat, sprinkling the floor with his ichor, causing the lines she had drawn to glow with purple light. She then turned to Clementine, who was looking at the pair of corpses, pale and in obvious shock. She walked up to her and gently caressed her cheek and said in a gentle voice and in a tender, sweet tone.

„It may all have looked terrible, but remember that it wouldn't have happened without your help. We did it together and this act sealed our love, because it was all done out of love ." and she kissed Klementine, and the circle burned with black fire, announcing the arrival of Black Wind ... Her beloved steed.

Nightgale knew that performing the Ritual of Obtainment would not be easy... But the opportunity that lay before her... Perhaps there were better circumstances to perform it... But she was afraid that she would hesitate, chicken out, and decide to look for another way to gain power. She needed it... To free her mother... To bring Scarlet back to life... To prove to the world that she was not a failure... Yes, she had to succeed, otherwise... She couldn't accept any other possibility...

After a while, she felt the barriers between worlds crumble... Probably all the sorcerers within a radius of many kilometers felt it as well. It was an unpleasant, even painful sensation, but compared to what was to come, it was nothing. For now the Devourer of Light, avatar of the Great Outer God, began to break through the gap in reality. She sensed his unimaginable power. She saw red eyes, crossed out by triple axes. There was no hunger, rage or hatred in them. There lurked within them absolutely alien, impossible for mortals to process, they couldn't even describe them in words. But the foreignness of the mind behind them didn't make him any less dangerous… Now her most difficult task lay before her. She had to control the god, at least until she managed to transform... In right way... She had created barriers to keep him from reaching for her. She created them according to the instructions of Aaravos , who was floating in the air right next to her. His blasé, nonchalant pose disappeared somewhere. He was serious now, even imperious,

„Good, now connect it to the local magic network... Immediately!„ He spoke in a worried voice, as if he did not share his previous confidence. She did as he had shown her back in Castle Crypto, but she expected to have a little more time to practice it. She used enhanced magic detection and saw ribbons of power flowing through Etheria... Several of them reached into the circle that imprisoned her mother... Capturing them was difficult... It took great concentration and great willpower... But she didn't lack it, a lifetime of pain and rejection had made her... that she became strong and tough… She had to be. So she grabbed the ribbons, though it was like catching the wind... But she focused and tightened her mental hands on the ribbon and pulled them towards the Devourer of Light, who was pressing against the barrier she had created. Even though only a few seconds had passed, the creature had almost shattered it… It had to hurry… So she tugged on the ribbon and dragged it towards the swirling darkness…. And then all the magic in Brightmoon disappeared, just for the blink of an eye... It dissipated all the spells in the area, their power absorbed by the Avatar of Nyarlathotep Both the circle that bound her mother and the barrier that protected her from the Devourer of Light disappeared. Black tendrils of darkness reached out towards her. She tried to move back, but they grabbed her.

"This experiment was as informative as it was unsuccessful…" Aaravo said, his voice full of disappointment as the tentacles dragged her towards one of the countless mouths of the Great Outer God. She screamed

She has experienced a lot of Pain in her life. Punishments ordered by her mother, agony every time the power she stole from the black garnet left her, death in a flash of power. But none of them were as terrible as watching her daughter repeat the same mistake that had made her a slave to the darkness. The ritual initially went well. Nightgale managed to stop the Entity, her daughter was truly extremely talented, but even her skills were not enough to accomplish what she planned. For a moment she had the impression that her daughter was talking to someone, so, touched by a premonition, she cast a true seeing spell and then she saw a horned Elf with shiny, sparkling skin... She remembered him... It was this bastard who had convinced her to perform this ritual... Now everything was becoming clear...

And then she felt a strange tug on the magical net and all the spells in the area disappeared, as if the summoned creature had absorbed her. Both the True Sight spell and the circle that had imprisoned her were gone... And the barrier that had protected Nightgale. The Devourer of Light reached out to the young woman and grabbed her. But now she was free, so she ran towards the monster and screamed.

„Leave her! She doesn't deserve this... Please!" she begged, but the creature simply ignored her... She was just a fly buzzing around the Giant's head... So she started throwing Spells, but they were scattered before they reached their target. She used more and more powerful magic, but what could her secret knowledge and Power do against God?

„Please... Don't do to her what you did to me... Please." she said, kneeling before the ancient being. However, her pleas and pleas were in vain... After a while, the summoned Avatar of Creeping Chaos gave Nightgale back, but the transformation had already taken place... The girl cowered, and her body was marked, scars appeared in exactly the same places where their shadows had previously been inherited from her mother, as if she was destined to do this deed from the moment of her birth.. In a sense, it was like that... But not because of who she was born, but whose child she was. Anyone who wanted to get close to her was destined to suffer... Nightgale's entire body trembled, torn apart by spasms of indescribable pain... She remembered itso well... She ran to her daughter and wrapped her in the tails of her robe.

„It hurts, it hurts so much. It hurts so much... Mom, help me, make it stop hurting... Please... Make it stop hurting." the girl pleaded.

„It's okay, darling... I'm with you... I'll help you... „ she said, although she knew well that there was nothing she could do... She could only end her daughter's suffering... For a moment she seriously considered this possibility, but she couldn't give up like that... There had to be way to help the girl.

"Focus, don't let yourself get distracted. You have always prided yourself on your knowledge and wisdom... For once, put it to good use...' She thought and decided to combine the skills she had developed during her service to the Horde with the knowledge she had acquired during her stay on Carurystal. She cast enhanced detect magic and saw ribbons of power wrapping around everything. She grabbed one, located quite far from the Avatar, and entering it, she looked into the entire network stretching around Brightmoon and traced the path leading to the moonstone... Then she dug the claws of her self into the ancient creation of The First Ones and brutally tore the thread from it and dragged it to her daughter. She wrapped a ribbon of power around her, partially soothing her torment. However, this was only a partial solution. In the case of the Black Garnet, she used complex machinery to maintain the connection, but even then it eventually broke and she had to renew it regularly or she would begin to die... In this case, it was only possible because the Arrival of the Light Eater had severed the magical network around the runestone. , but this state would not last long, especially since the Moonstone already had its owner, but a plan was already starting to form in her head... But then the guards burst in. The Devourer of Light was already disappearing into the dimensional rift , but what was still visible was there to stop them, but only for a moment. When the Avatar disappeared, they looked at them as if they had just realized that Shadow Weaver was out of the cell and that the girl they had let in was gone, replaced by a strange creature all too similar to the Dark Sorceress. One of them, a stocky woman, gripped her halberd tighter and called out.

„Stand where you are... Don't move, or ... otherwise... „ She directed her halberd towards them, with electric sparks dancing at the end of it.

„Listen to me, I'll go back to the cell, but you take this girl to Lady... „ The guard didn't let her finish, because when he saw that she was trying to get up, he screamed.

„I told you not to move." he came closer, threatening her with his weapon. Then Nightgale raised her hand and released a stream of white flame that enveloped both guards, leaving them smoldering, blackened remains. The heat was so great that it burned the door and melted the stone. So much for peaceful solutions...

„ I'm not very good at teleportation magic mother, but you probably know her... „ the girl groaned, her body still flooded with waves of pain.

„ Yes, but first we need to find Lady Cala... She can help you, or rather a certain item in her possession. – she said, helping her daughter get up
