"Stop it!"
The sudden shout silenced the room including the beating of the Batman.
Everyone, except Batman whose consciousness was starting to slip, looked towards the voice.
"It's her."
"She's found us"
"Can't believe we forgot her"
"Run!"
The owls all ran to safety as the woman observed them.
She began to lift her hand that held a vintage gun, aiming it at the Talon that still stood over Batman.
"You should leave too, otherwise I'll make sure you never have the chance again." The woman said threateningly as the Talon stared at her with empty eyes.
"Talon, come, follow your masters. We mustn't lose another to her." An owl's voice littered the room with no source.
The Talon slowly fell back calmly as if it were confident in its abilities to face the person its master feared.
The woman ran to the man laying on the floor in a small puddle of his blood.
"Hey, hey"
Batman could hear a voice trying to make it's way to him and it was working.
He fluttered his eyes open to see a face looming over his.
"Do you know how to get out of here? I can't leave you like this."
"I made some bombs to break through the floor. We are directly above the sewers."
"Alright, leave it to me"
Batman gave the mysterious woman the bombs he had made and turned to the side as he watched her place them down and activate them causing a small explosion that have them access to the sewers below.
The woman made her way back to Batman as she slowly and carefully picked him, leaning him against her shoulder.
As she wobbled them over to the hole, she gently lowered Batman down the hole so he could land as safely as possible not adding any pressure to his wounds.
"I'll be back for you, owls" the woman stated before she jumped after batman.
After picking him back up, the woman asked, "I'm assuming you know your way around the sewers, so you had a place in mind?"
He quickly looked around.
"Keep going straight and make a right on the second fork." Batman replied before coughing up some blood.
The woman looked at him with a glint of worry as she sped up a bit.
After following his directions, the woman brought them up to a fence.
"Who's there?" An elderly man exclaimed as he raised a shotgun at the two.
The woman put her free arm up to show she was no threat.
"Hey, we mean you no harm, I was just helping this man get here. I'm assuming this must be some safe place for him."
The older man told them to approach closer to him so he could see the man she was talking about and when she did, he gasped in recognition.
"Thank you ma'am, I will take him from here"
The woman nodded as she passed the injured man over to the now worried man.
"Ah, you can come through if you wish to leave the sewers, I can lead you back to Gotham City, although I'm afraid to enforce the secrecy of the man you just helped, you will have to cover your eyes as you pass through."
"Oh um thank you, but I'm fine, I know of another way to leave, I won't take up any more of your time, you need to treat the patient haha."
"Thank you again ma'am."
She nodded with a smile in response as the elder led him and the Bat further in.
The Bat throwing a quick glance back to the woman who possibly just saved his life.
The woman had raised her hands up, a glow coming from them as some sort of tear opened up in front of her, showing what looked like a hotel. Batman witnessed in shock as she walked into the tear and it closed up, leaving no one behind.

"Master Bruce, you mustn't return to your nightly duties."
"I have to Alfred. I need to end the owls."
"No, master Bruce. You must rest. The injuries you sustained will cause tremendous pressure on your body if they do not heal."
"I have be out there."
"You have subordinates for that. I contacted the rest of the team. They all agreed that they would look after gotham tonight. So you just rest master Wayne."
"Well well alright Alfred, it doesn't seem like I have much of a choice."
"Indeed you don't sir."
tbh i think shipping elizabeth with jason or nightwing mightve been better but i can just make that into another story.
this book follows the court of owls plot closely, with obvious changes made to accomodate elizabeth
