I finally stood before the exit, a thick, reinforced door towering in front of me. I reached out with one massive hand, gently knocking on it to test its structure. The sound that came back was solid, not hollow like I had hoped. A low thud echoed back—metal, maybe some wood too. Reinforced, for sure.
I studied it carefully. This door wasn't going to give easily. If I wanted to break out, I'd need about 900 pounds of sheer force, maybe even more. I could feel the tension building in my muscles as I considered my options.
I wasn't worried. I had the strength, but I knew it would take a little planning. My eyes narrowed as I took a deep breath, sizing up the door one more time. There was no turning back now. I would get through this, no matter how reinforced it was. Freedom was on the other side, and I was too close to stop now.
