The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "You just killed five men, what do you have to say for yourself."

"Oops?"

It had been a while since this had happened to her. Still not long enough, but definitely a while. Jacoba sighed as she pulled the Expendables' current client against the wall with a frown. This really did only happen to her.

Their client had said tha the mission would be pretty straight foreward; one team member going in with him as a secretary or business partner and one other on a nearby building to serve as back-up. So, with her still being the team's main infiltrator, Gunnar was keeping an eye out through her rifle scope. Jacoba was just hoping that he wouldn't get the idea in his head that they needed help just yet. She wasn't in trouble quite yet.

It would seem that their client had left out one major point in his summation of the mission. Apparently, one of his co-workers had been using the company as a front for one of the city's drug cartels. And was also skimming off the top. So, it was really no surprise, in reality, that the cartel's enforcers had taken over the building and were demanding all of their money back.

Jacoba peeked through the doorway they had just fot to and rolled her eyes as what she saw. Leaning back and turning to her companion, she indicated that she had seen five cartel members before beginning to look in the purse that she'd brought with her. Finding what she was looking for, Jacoba motioned for the client to move to the opposite wall, which he did, though with a confused look on his face. Jacoba whispered, "Get ready to run," and received another confused nod. Smirking, she pulled the pin from the grenade in her hand, threw it into the room, and took off, the client hot on her heels.

Neither stopped until they had jumped into the SUV that Gunnar had waiting for them. As Gunnar sped away, the client glared at Jacoba. "That wasn't necessary."

Jacoba scoffed. "My only concern was to get you out of there in one piece. So, I'd say that it was definitely necessary.'

"You just killed five men! What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Oops?" Jacoba shrugged. "You're the one who hired a team of mercenaries, what did you expect?"

Before the client could say anything else, Gunnar decided to chime in. "What did you do, Amazon?"

Jacoba smirked at him from the passenger seat. "Oh, threw a grenade into a room with some cartel members. No big thing."

"You're slightly insane, woman."

"Only slightly?"
