The room was quite simply a one of a kind. It wasn't fancy, nor was it too 'low class'. It looked like the office of the vice president of the poorest country in the world. The carpet was of a brilliant red that looked as if it never been cleaned, two sides of the walls were covered in bookshelves that ranged from books that looked as if it had just been out of the printing press to books that looked to be older than time itself. There were books the size of a car to books smaller than that of a postage stamp. There were books that ranged from all sorts of topics from more serious books about science and physics to more absurd books like a book about spies fighting nazi vampies on the moon.

At the end of the long room was a giant sized desk that contained everything from a giant computer to a mountain of paper to a fax machine and so on. Right behind the desk and the chair was a giant window. Night had fallen and the only source of light came from a bunch of lamps at the side of the rooms. There was a small lamp visible on the desk, but person sitting behind the desk had turned it off. The only thing that could be seen from this persons figure was that it was a woman.

Two men were standing in front of the desk. The first man was tall and thin with eyeglasses that was as thick as cardboard, the other was short and as fat as a beachball. They shifted uneasily as they prepared to deliver the bad news to the figure standing silently in the shadows waiting for them to talk.

"Ma'am," one of the scientists began, his voice trembling slightly, "we have an update on subject #151."

The woman in the shadows remained silent, her presence heavy, though her posture tensed ever so slightly at the mention of subject #151. The first scientist hesitated, then continued, dread creeping into his tone.

"Subject #151... it's escaped," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The tracker we implanted has been completely destroyed. We've lost all data and tracking capabilities. It's... it's impossible to locate it at this point."

The second scientist quickly added, trying to soften the blow. "Without subject #151, we can't proceed with Project 'Eternal' or Project 'New Age.' The genetic material required for both projects... it's simply too unique, any samples we have left has been destroyed. We've tried all we can, but without—"

Before he could finish, the air in the room seemed to thicken with tension. The woman in the shadows stiffened, her fists clenched tightly. Then, with a sudden explosion of fury, she slammed her hands down on the table in front of her, the sound reverberating through the room.

"WHAT?! You LOST IT?!" Her voice was sharp, venomous, and filled with a barely controlled rage. The scientists flinched at her tone, visibly shaken as they shrank back, trying to avoid her wrath.

"You incompetents!" she snarled, pacing back and forth, her shadow flickering against the walls. "Do you have any idea how much it took to even find it!? We only had it for less than a week and IT'S GONE!? We have been working on these projects for years! YEARS! And now you're telling me that the key to everything has just... vanished?!" Her voice dripped with fury, each word more poisonous than the last. Her eyes glowed red.

The scientists stood frozen, unable to respond, their fear evident. The woman's silhouette was all they could see, but the intensity of her rage felt like it could tear the very walls apart.

"Project 'Eternal'…Project 'New Age'…all of it in jeopardy because you let that creature escape!"

In her blind rage, she grabbed her phone from her coat pocket and immediately started dialing. The scientists exchanged another nervous glance, knowing that whoever was on the other end of that call was about to feel the full force of her wrath.

She pressed the phone to her ear, not waiting for a greeting before barking into the device. "It has escaped! I don't care what it takes, You can rip apart Johto, Kanto, Sinnoh, Hoeen I don't care just FIND IT! Use every resource at your disposal! I want every man, woman, and child in this region looking for it! Do you understand me?! If it's not found, heads will roll!"

Her voice grew louder, more unhinged, as her frustration boiled over. "I don't care how impossible it seems! We need that Pokémon for Project 'Eternal' to succeed! And without it, Project 'New Age' is dead in the water! And you can kiss that thing goodbye! FIND IT, NOW!"

She hung up with a furious slam, breathing heavily, her rage still simmering. The lab fell into an uneasy silence, the hum of machinery the only sound in the room. The scientists dared not move, afraid any action would provoke another outburst.

"Make no mistake," she hissed, her voice low and dangerous, "if Mew isn't recovered soon... we will all pay the price."

Without another word, she made a gesture and the two scientists practically flew out of the door the thin scientist practically destroyed his foot with the tea cart that was outside the room. Biscuts and a cup fell onto the floor.

"Thank Arceus that we didn't break her favorite kettle." The fat man said as he picked up the biscuts on the foor and shoved them into his mouth.

"Well what are we supposed to do now?" The thin man said.

"Did she order us to go out and find it ourselves?" The fat man said

"No?" The thin man said

"Then there is nothing else much we can do than the same as always."

"Sir, that thing destroyed all of the vials and everything, it would be impossible to distinguish it's dna from I don't know a caterpie or a Lucario or…"

The fat man reached out and patted the thin man on the back like a father would do to a son.

"You worry too much." The fat man said "Anyway that witch won't harm so much as a cell in our body. We are vital for her creations and she needs us alive to do so."

"Are you sure?" The thin man said as they continued to walk down the corridor

"You are young Blaine." The fat man said "And apart from that ponyta of yours, you don't really know how to care for pokemon"

"Are you blaming me!?"

"No. But lets just hope that we get it back soon, and we can continue our work."

Project 'Eternal' and Project 'New Age' were too critical to fail. And now, the clock was ticking.
