Disclaimer: Have I mentioned that these seasons are getting harder and harder to write with each passing one? I think the extra difficulty helps motivate me to give it my all. Well just as a reminder, I'm putting as much of my effort as possible into all of these chapters. Let's hope that shows in this latest one too!

Also, I don't own Paw Patrol.

Paw Patrol X

Land and Sea arc Episode eleven: Is It Fair?

Continuing right from where the previous chapter left off, Skye and Claw instantly stepped in front of Coral to protect her from the Mer-Pup soldiers. Claw looked to Coral with a caring smile, and she smiled back before Skye spoke in defense of her. "If you're taking her to Eveline, then we're not handing her over!"

"We aren't giving you a choice here kid!" The first soldier in line shouted, and he began walking forward with his sword held tightly. He made it clear he wasn't afraid to kill if he had to. "When Eveline wants something, she gets it; no matter what!"

F.M. wiped her tears and walked closer to the Mer-Pup, knowing what he said didn't entail a happy life. "Shouldn't it be up to Coral?" The Mer-Pup glared at F.M., who didn't stand down as she objected to this demand. "Even if I thought Coral should go back to PupLantis, which I don't, the decision should be hers." The Mer-Pup started thinking about that, especially after F.M. brought up another point. "If Eveline cared about her happiness, she wouldn't be forcing her to go back."

The Mer-Pup shook off that concern, looking ahead as he denied what F.M. was saying. "You're wrong kid. Every royal figure has to make hard calls." The Mer-Pup continued walking forward, and Zuma took his phone out briefly, as he knew what F.M. was going to do. "That includes this one."

F.M. sighed in frustration, knowing she was going to have to take high stakes action to help Coral. "Sorry. But in this scenario, you're wrong." F.M. dashed at max speed, stunning the Mer-Pup soldiers at her speed, and F.M. even punched the Mer-Pup soldier right before he could prepare his slash. This sent him flying back, and as he regained his balance before colliding with Sid and Arrby's ship, F.M. picked Coral up and ran off with her. "You're not taking Coral!"

At that moment, the other Mer-Pup soldiers got ready to fight with the second one raising his sword to declare battle. "For Queen Eveline!"

Marshall instantly got protective of Margareth, gesturing her to Ryder and Richie just before he started fighting. The latter of the human members confirmed they already had an idea in mind. "Come with us Margareth! You'll be safe at our house!"

At that same time, Charm was picking Moby up, running off with him as he questioned what Charm was doing. "Charm, what are you doing!? It's a battle! They need your skill set!"

"The others can defend themselves! You can't!" Charm pointed out, refusing to let Moby get hurt. "I'm not going to risk you dying!" Moby got concerned, knowing that Charm was right, but he also felt he wouldn't leave a battle for too long. Right?

F.M. was already in her fire truck when she got Zuma's text, which read: 'There's an old abandoned shack near the area Calm-Ten is in. The town had to be rebuilt since our last visit, but the shack should still be there.'. F.M. took this advice with Coral wondering what was going to happen. "Are the others gonna be okay? Will Skye and Claw be okay?"

"Yes to both of those." F.M. responded with the best smile she could muster. She was still struggling to keep herself happy, but Coral showing genuine concern for her allies helped. "Sit tight Coral. This is gonna be fast." Coral did as advised by putting her seat belt on before F.M. drove off super fast. While making sure not to hit anyone of course. Thankfully, the other soldiers were busy, and the one F.M. punched was now in combat with Chase, who gestured him to try and hit him.

Now that she was in the forest, F.M. was driving as fast as she could to get Coral to the shack Zuma texted her about. There were no cars on the road, so that meant F.M. didn't have to worry about hitting anything, or anyone. She looked out for the shack the best she could, and Coral managed to spot it herself. "Is that it!?"

"Looks like it! Good eye!" F.M. stopped right in front of the shack with a quick parallel park. After that, she looked to Coral and made one thing clear. "Listen Coral. I don't like you anymore, and you know why. But we both know Miranda's trying to kill you, and I couldn't bring myself to let that happen even if I wanted to. And if I know my mom, and how she and my dad started out, they'd at least give you a chance to make things right. And I want you to have that chance."

"Okay." Coral responded, showing clear remorse over her actions before hopping out of the truck with F.M.. They entered the shack which was as run down and beaten as Zuma's description suggested. Coral wasn't a fan, cringing at how gross it all looked, and even saw a rat on the floor and flinched upon seeing it. After yelping in fear, Coral ended up unleashing...

PFFFFFFFFFFT

...a ripe and bassy five second fear fart, unleashing a green cloud of moldy fish after she did. She blushed upon looking at F.M., who assured her that she didn't mind it. "No big deal. I've been living with worse for years." F.M. started looking around herself as Coral wafted her fart away. She even started speaking out loud about something else she was feeling would happen as a result of this. "This is gonna work F.M.. And maybe, the pain will stop."

Coral saw how hard F.M. was struggling mentally. She never thought her actions could cause this much damage.. "I'm so sorry about Wave's death F.M.. I wish I'd never played any part in what happened."

F.M. choked a bit before clenching her fist in grief, truly believing the remorse Coral showed since she got her call. She faced her, assuring her that she was focusing solely on protecting her now. "I have a lot going on because of that. But I'm still staying here to protect you. Just, please, stop apologizing so much." F.M. placed a paw on Coral's shoulder after she nodded to say she obliged. "You still mean a lot to Skye and Claw. And even if you didn't, I wouldn't let Eveline touch you."

Coral was touched by those words, taking F.M.'s paw as she expressed gratitude. "Thank you F.M.. I hope I can make this up to you and your family."

"It's gonna take a lot of work. But I hope so too." F.M. assured Coral, moving her paw gently as she thought about this scenario. She wanted to forgive Coral, but she couldn't bring herself to do so, despite knowing she's a victim of tragedy too. Did she really have the right to help the others to forgive Charm with that in mind? Especially with the new knowledge she'd learned last week. She just couldn't stop thinking about how Wave's tough pregnancy with her is what kick started the events that lead to Blaze's death... and then her own death ten years later.

Back in Adventure Bay, Charm was doing his best to get Moby to safety at Katie's as they made it to the latter's room. Charm locked Moby's door after entering the room, and Moby then encouraged him to get back into battle. "Thank you Charm. I think Katie can protect me from here. You should get back out there and help the others."

"No way. One of them could come here and hurt you." Charm pointed out, but Moby could see that it was something deeper going on. He didn't know why, but he could just... tell with Charm. "The others can handle the fight themselves. It's only six soldiers."

"You could barely take down one soldier." Moby reminded Charm, knowing that most of the team wasn't as strong as him. "Even with the training you guys do on a daily basis, the other pups might not win."

Charm turned to Moby as he reminded him of how many pups were still fighting on the beach. "Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Snow, Everest, Claw, and maybe Sid or Arrby while one of them is protecting Rubble and Sweetie. That's eight, maybe nine, against six. The Paw Patrol work best in numbers, and their numbers are higher now."

"But what if they still lose?" Moby asked concernedly, feeling like Charm not being there could be a big part in if they lose. "We can't just assume they'll win without you. Especially with Ryder and Richie protecting Margareth."

"You saw how I got after I killed that soldier." Charm reminded Moby, not wanting to have to kill another Canine for any reason. "I stopped thinking about anything other than his death Moby. Everything else was crimson red to me. I can't risk that happening again." Charm shook his head in disgust over what he said next. "I can't be like Slash."

"You're NOT like Slash!" Moby exclaimed, putting his paws on Charm's shoulders while confirming he knew where this came from. "You've been doing so much to find your own identity. And your friends have seen that progress. And no one blames you for Wave's death because Eveline and Coral tricked you."

"That doesn't erase my part in it!" Charm snapped when he walked off, concerning Moby even greater as he vented about his situation. Charm showed anger, sadness, fear, and confusion in his voice as he did. "All I've ever done is cause pain and misery in the eyes of everyone around me! I don't even know who I am beyond my demon blood! I believed I could finally rid myself of it, and now Wave's dead because of it! That's undeniable proof that I cause death and destruction wherever I go, without life even CONSIDERING the fact that I'm trying to change!"

Moby recalled what Charm said on the beach right before the Mer-Pups came around. He knew that had something to do with his meltdown. "Do you really think the whole world would be better off without you?"

"Yes, I do." Charm clenched his fists as he said that, feeling fully well that his existence is making the world a worse place to live in. "Almost ten thousand lives were murdered at my paws. I doubt anyone would miss me if I added myself to the list."

"Don't say that Charm! I would!" Moby informed Charm instantly, showing he truly believed in him. "I know the new you! I only saw you kill one time, and it was to save my life!"

"I don't know if there IS a new me! All I know is the old me! And it's still trapping me inside!" Charm exclaimed, refusing to look at Moby, which only annoyed him more. "You saw the look in my eyes Moby! I almost relapsed!"

"But you didn't! F.M. and Rocky even helped you calm down after you started hallucinating!" Moby responded, continuing to help Charm see that he wasn't a lost cause. "If they really believed you couldn't be a good Canine, they wouldn't have done that. Heck, they wouldn't have let you help them stop Slash! Or trust you when you told them about my situation!" Charm only started to feel even worse, and Moby's last question was the tipping point of him holding back. "And if you really believe that all you've done is hurt everyone, then why did you save me!?"

"BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY EXCEPTION!" Charm shouted at the top of his lungs, stunning Moby for a bit because of the audio. But Moby was able to recover quickly, getting his head back into the game and waiting a few seconds for Charm to speak again.

Charm turned to Moby and began crying from the same mixed emotions as before, and felt that all he's done is ruin the lives of everyone he's ever interacted with. "Everyone I've interacted with, I've either lost, hurt, or killed. Everyone ec..." Charm then shoved Moby back just enough to make him step back a bit. "freaking except for you!" Charm then brought up the poison as he turned to the right, which was why his self loathing skyrocketed. "When I helped you, I felt so good about myself. Like I could actually find something better, whatever that may be."

Moby went to wipe Charm's tears, but Charm put his paw up to gesture him not to. He then expressed just how much Moby meant to him. "I still want to be better than I was before. But the urge to kill still lingers from within me. And my mind just can't bare the thought of relapsing." Charm looked right at Moby's eyes as he expressed how much he meant to him. "I am sick of watching every breath I draw lead to disaster. I want to at least do good by..." Charm choked a bit before he finished. "...my best friend."

It was clear that among all the reasons for Charm not going back, and every conflicting thought in his mind, the biggest one was not wanting to lose Moby. Moby could hardly believe he meant that much to Charm. He still wasn't used to having so many friends, let alone a best friend who valued him more than anything. It made him want to help Charm even more. Getting an idea, he stepped forward, placing his paws on Charm's shoulders when turning him to face him. "One act of kindness, shows who you can be. But consistent kindness, shows who you are."

Charm was confused by what Moby was doing, and Moby started to explain why he said it. "You said F.M. told you that the day you met me, right? I think I realized what she meant by it." Charm listened closely as Moby's smile showed sincerity in his words. "You can do any noble deed, whether it's as big as saving a life, or as small as a simple hug. But one action on it's own can mean anything. If you want people to see you a certain way, you have to keep acting in a way that supports it. Like say... killing bad people."

Charm gained a look of realization as he thought about what Moby was saying. Moby then encouraged him to follow F.M.'s advice to a tee. "If you really want to find yourself, then punch the part of you telling you to kill yourself in the face..." Moby pointed to his window as he finished his words. "and help the Paw Patrol fight Eveline's soldiers!" Charm smiled softly upon seeing how much Moby believed in him. He was still hurting, but what Moby said definitely helped him. "I think I have an idea who you'll become Charm."

"Is that right?" Charm asked, smirking as he made a direct response to Moby's thoughts. "Someone worth your time I hope."

"I wouldn't think of it any other way." Moby assured Charm, who rushed off and went out the window after giving Moby a thumbs up. No hugs though. They weren't huggers. He ran off to the beach, taking his knife out to help the others fight the best he could. He just had to remind himself that this time, he was doing it for good.

The rest of the Paw Patrol were still fighting on the beach with Chase dodging a Mer-Pup soldier's downward sword slash before jump spin kicking them to the right. The soldier regained his balance and dashed at Chase, who blocked his punch, and then his kick, skidding back at bit as Claw kicked the soldier from behind. Rocky and Zuma were also fighting together, and Zuma was pinned down and about to be stabbed. This was before Rocky kicked the soldier off of him, and he offered Zuma a paw to help him up. "Room for one more?"

"Always weady to make a fwee spot for you!" Zuma smiled and happily accepted before they returned to the fight.

Snow and Everest were fighting off a soldier themself, and the soldier dodged Everest's low sweep and attempted to crush her foot. She moved her leg however, using both of them to send the soldier into the ground. She then tried to hold him there for Snow to stomp, only for the soldier to spin and smack her to the side while also throwing Everest. Marshall helped them both up, and they gave him one thumbs up each before three Mer-Pup soldiers surrounded them.

Skye was using her incredible agility to dodge every Mer-Pup strike, but it was hard due to how fast she was. Skye could barely keep up, and this ended with the soldier faking her out, leaving Skye with barely enough time to block her actual backhand paw smack. Skye fell to the ground after that, and she grabbed the soldier's sword just as Chase saw what was happening and became horrified. "SKYE!" Chase wanted to help, but his soldier was keeping him busy. Skye didn't know how long she could hold on for. The soldier was too strong for her. If only...

STAB

...Skye thought the stab was for her, but she was stunned to find Charm on the other end with his knife. He was still disgusted by the kill, but he shook that off to remember that he saved Skye's life. That didn't make it go away, but Skye thanking him after throwing the soldier off of herself did. "Thanks Charm."

"Don't mention it." Charm replied, and then he and Skye started fighting off another soldier, who Charm blocked the sword strike of with Skye kicking him back. He then charged at the soldier with Skye after the two nodded, showing that they were willing to fight together.

Back at the hideout, F.M. was texting Margareth to make sure she was okay. Coral saw how happy F.M. was when they were texting. She was glad to see her smile. It showed F.M. could still be her real self. However, she also showed concern when F.M.'s face dropped after the texting ended. F.M. put her phone away and stood up to get some time to reflect by herself. "I need some fresh air Coral. If you see trouble, hide somewhere safe and try to keep quiet."

"Will do." Coral said to confirm she would take F.M.'s advice. As she left the shack however, Coral could see that F.M. was still in deep despondence over Wave's death. She knew that feeling all too well, as much as she tried to hide it. It was exactly what she felt after her parents were killed in front of her. And her helping Eveline helped to that to F.M.. F.M. was outside the shack as somber music started to play to show F.M.'s conflicted, angry, and sorrow emotions. She leaned on the shack wall as she thought about all that's been going on lately.

As she stayed deep in though, F.M. started singing a song to herself to express her concerns: Is It Fair? "My whole life, I've wanted, to help everyone I could. But lately, I couldn't help, but wonder if I even should. Since even, before birth, I was giving others a hard time. It cost my, dad his life, when it was possibly in his prime." Coral could hear F.M. from outside and started listening by the wall, jumping up to the window and looking down to get a full view.

F.M. looked up to the sky and saw some birds flying around. She saw them flying over to her, and she let one land on her paw finger as she smiled the best she could. "Whether, big or small, all life has some kind of purpose." When she let the bird fly away however, her expression changed, and she saw the bird reunite with it's mother and siblings before F.M. looked at the ground. "I always, wanted mine, to be one that spread rightness. But lately, I'm thinking, that all I do is make things harder. It makes me, worry if, I even have the right to botheeeeer."

F.M. looked forward as she contemplated her ability to actually help others. "Is it fair? If even my pre-birth caused others pain. Is it fair? When I don't feel I can help others gain." F.M. started thinking about how Wave's pregnancy with her resorted to her seeking out Miranda. She really did believe it was her own fault Wave made that call. "I gave them desperation, for confirmation, that I would be okay. It hurts too much to know I took our father awaaaaay."

F.M. crossed her arms and walked away from the shack, just up to a nearby tree. She looked at it when she started singing again. "I've also, been trying, to help Charm earn their forgiveness." F.M. placed her paw on the tree as she continued. "But now I'm, wondering, if I'm even cut out for doing this." F.M. closed her eyes as she then sang about where this part of the song came from. "I still can't, forgive her, for her role in our mother's death." Coral wans't surprised by that, but the mention still made her feel awful. "As if my words had any kind of deeeeepth."

F.M. sat down beside the tree, and Coral jumped down once she turned around to do so, not wanting her to know she was listening. Thankfully, she could still hear F.M. singing. "Is it fair? To help others do what I can't do. Is it fair? Do I even have the right to?" F.M. cupped her paws together as she thought about her right to help others forgive when she can't forgive Coral. "Even though I, still want to help her, I'm just not ready now. I can't even think for a second on hooooow."

F.M. started thinking about both of these things combined, and both gave her immense self worth and conflicting thoughts. Was she a hypocrite for trying to help others when Wave's hard pregnancy with her started the events leading to Blaze's death? Could she really help others forgive when she couldn't forgive Coral? Did she even belong on the Paw Patrol? If only someone else was around to help her know for sure.

F.M. sang the last verse of her song, and Coral was shown listening and feeling the same pain she was feeling. "Is it fair? That I still want to do what I can to help. Is it fair? That all I feel I can do is yelp?" F.M. grabbed her hind legs and put her head onto them as she finished her song. "To bring happiness, and help others forgive, seeing both are sights I love to relive. But is that outcome truly right to be? There's a lingering question I see." F.M. started tearing up as she sang the last line in her song. "Is it fair for anyone to get... help, from... meeeeeeeeee?"

F.M. started crying and buried her head into her knees, unable to bare all of the emotional weight on her shoulders. Coral felt absolutely horrible about what she'd done, wishing she could take it all back. Using and hurting Skye and her friends, helping try to kill one of them, taking a loving mother of three. All because she wanted to believed Eveline cared about her, and the Mer-Pups. For seven years, she was just... a pawn who helped bring unspeakable pain to amazing people. One question plagued her mind after learning Eveline's true identity.

Was she really as much of a fake as Eveline... without even realizing it? Just like Eveline mistreating her?

The battle against the Mer-Pup soldiers was over with Chase and Charm kicking the last two into each other and making them collide mid-air. After they fell to the ground, the leader of the group growled when realizing they couldn't win. "You guys got lucky this time! Everyone; retreat!"

The soldiers did as instructed, and after the last one jumped in, Chase praised everyone for their efforts. "Great work everyone! Another Paw Patrol victory!"

The rest of the pups cheered as Marshall called his fire truck. Everest knew what he was planning on doing. "You want me to come check on Margareth with you?"

"That'd be great." Marshall responded as he held Everest's paw, and then the two exchanged thumbs ups to Snow as she headed over to Skye. Rocky, Zuma, and Claw also went to Sid and Arrby's ship to check on Rubble and Sweetie. "Then we should take Snow to check on F.M. and Coral. You said she wanted to talk to her, right?"

Snow saw Skye looking over the sea while holding her bandana, leading to the question of said bandana rising again. She saw Skye in deep thought, and hoped what she wanted to say didn't leave a negative impact on her. "I've never seen that bandana before last week." Skye flinched before looking at Snow, and then back at the bandana. She should've expected someone to ask her about it after she started holding it again. "Did you always have it?"

"Yeah. Ever since I was a toddler." Skye answered, and then she stated why she never brought it up before. "It's... kind of hard for me to talk about."

"You mean a piece of clothing you never told me about comes with a heavy backstory? That's a shocker." Snow responded sarcastically, and then she encouraged Skye to tell her about the bandana's origin. "We all have rough pasts here Skye. At this point, one of us knowing is following tradition."

Skye smirked before looking at Snow with a retort. "Who said Chase and Ryder didn't know?" Snow shrugged with Skye looking back at the bandana. After thinking for a few moments, she felt it was time to tell someone else. She decided to take Chase's advice and tell Snow first. "I swore I'd only take this bandana out when I needed to. It helps me remember what I set out to do when I feel I'm close to forgetting. And if needed, it also gives me emotional support. Like what I've needed lately."

Snow gave Skye her full attention as she began telling her story. "My family and I used to have a farm. We were really struggling around this time.

A flashback began as Skye started telling Snow about how she joined the Paw Patrol. It started with her napping inside a struggling farm when she was four years old. A younger Amy woke her up in desperation after coming into the room. "Skye! Wake up!"

Skye rubbed her eyes and looked at her older sister, who seemed desperate to go through with something. She didn't know what was going on and started to get worried. "Amy? Is everything okay?"

"It will be soon." Amy picked Skye up and ran over to the window, which revealed this time to be during the winter season. Outside was a younger Ryder, who was getting supplies from Skye's father. After Skye saw this upon Amy showing her, Amy filled her in on what to do. "I saw that kid on TV. He's this super smart and rich kid who's devoted his life to helping others. If you get on his ride, I guarantee you he'll give you a good home. He already has a dog of his own."

Skye guessed Amy's plan didn make sense, failing to see that it was actually flawed. She started to worry about what Amy and their parents would do. "But what about you, mom, and dad?"

"We'll all be fine. But we've been struggling so much lately that I don't wanna risk you going hungry." Skye didn't know what to say to that, and Amy opened the door just enough for Skye to get through. "I've already started helping out with the chores, so I can handle doing manual labor to help out if I have to. But if we end up homeless, we'll be suffering even harder than right now. And I don't want to risk you going through that.

Skye looked out the window, where Ryder was still getting his supplies from Skye's father. She looked back at Amy and saw that she was serious about this. She didn't want to leave her, but her heart told her that Amy was doing this to protect her. "I'll call you as soon as I get to Ryder's place."

Amy hugged Skye, helping her climb through the window, which she jumped down from before boarding the sled attached to Ryder's ATV. "You got this Skye." Skye hid in between two boxes, doing her best to keep herself hidden as Ryder put the last one on his sled. Skye only hoped she wouldn't do anything to blow her cover. Now that she was on the sled, there was no turning back.

Skye was still hiding on Ryder's supplies, but was struggling to stay on, since she wasn't hiding in any of the boxes. Snow spoke up in the present, having a question in mind for this stowaway mission. "Amy just expected this to work? Ryder had to have caught you."

"Oh, he did." Skye informed Snow, and in the flashback, Skye was revealed to be switching hiding spots. "It just took some time for me to get caught."

Skye in the flashback tried to jump up to one of the boxes, struggling to find an opening. It was then that Ryder accidentally went over a rock, causing Skye to lose her grip and fall off. She barked as soon as she did, which caught Ryder's attention. Skye started rolling in the snow and ended up hurting her paw, but she wasn't about to let that stop her. She had to make sure Amy's plan worked. She started running the best she could, even running on her hind legs, despite not having as much experience with that as Amy.

Ryder stopped as soon as he heard Skye bark, but what amazed him was what he saw when he looked back. Skye was running towards him, showing a desire to at least try to go back with him. He saw a similar use of tenacity he saw in Chase three years prior. He instantly went back for her, which he would've done regardless. He knelt down as soon as he reached her, offering to carry her back. "Don't worry girl. I got you." Skye accepted, and as Ryder carried her to his ATV, he instantly started getting to know Skye. "What's your name pup?"

"S-s-skye." Skye answered while shivering, showing that the snow was making her cold, despite her long fur. "W-w-what's y-your n-n-name?"

"Ryder." Ryder answered, and then he sat on his ATV and let Skye sit on his lap. He assured Skye that he would do what he could to give her a worthwhile home. He noticed her bandana when wrapping her up in a small pink blanket. That gave him a good idea of what to expect from her. "Did you come from that farm?"

"Yeah. I did." Skye answered happily now that she was warm. Once Ryder started driving off, Skye looked at her bandana to remember what Amy did for her. Flawed as the plan was, it looked like she was about to get the home Amy wanted her to have. Little did she know that this one act of kindness was going to lead to the beginning of her time on a team of rescue dogs.

After the flashback ended, Skye held a reflective expression, but also smiled due to everything that day brought her. Snow started to understand Skye even more than she already did thanks to this story. Skye was happy to express how this event helped her grow. "Ever since then, I've done everything I can to help others find a life that makes them happy; like when you arrived at the Lookout. The same way Amy did for me. That's why I forgave Coral."

Snow definitely saw a protective older sister in Amy that was similar to what she had in Everest. It made all the times Skye brought her up after she first moved in make more sense. "So then all that stuff you told us before about you joining the team on normal terms was a cover up?" Skye nodded her head yes, and Snow then realized how her statement could've sounded. "Actually, normal terms would be joining during hard times." However, she did have one question about Ryder's role in this. "Didn't Ryder try to help your family's farm?"

"My dad was really prideful then. He only accepted money through payments of his stuff." Skye explained, looking at Snow as she expressed how much her life turned from that moment. "Ryder admitted later on that he didn't want another puppy at the time. It was when he saw my tenacity that he decided to take me in."

Snow looked back on the way she joined the team, which she also saw more depth from as of that moment. "Sounds like when I came here from Calm-Ten with an injured leg." Snow gained another question as a result of this, one that she hoped made sense to ask. "So then, it's not crazy that I want to keep Coral safe from Miranda?"

"Maybe to some. But I completely understand why." Skye answered, putting her bandana away while expressing relief over sharing it, and also revealing why she came up with that cover up stuff in the first place. "This felt good Snow. I was kind of worried if I told anyone, they'd end up blaming Amy."

"It was a risky plan, but it ended up being a good call." Snow assured Skye, making her glad that talking about the origin behind her bandana went as well as it did.

Back at the shack, F.M. was still waiting outside with Coral walking over to her to see if she was okay. She'd been sitting out there for quite a bit now. She hoped her alone time was able to help her. "Are you okay F.M.?"

"What do you think?" F.M. asked coldly, unable to bottle up her emotions any longer. Coral couldn't blame her. She didn't want to blame her. F.M. started getting more emotional in that moment, expressing all of her conflicting thoughts to Coral then and there. "I can't stop thinking that if I didn't bring Charm with us, you would never have given any of us that poison. Instead, me wanting to help everyone got my mom killed."

Coral had no idea what to say. The fact that F.M. thought that made her heart sink. Before she could say anything, F.M. started calling her out on her involvement in this tragedy. "The recipe you gave Charm killed my mother. Your actions helped take away the only parent I ever had." F.M. then started shouting, showing the extent of her pain. "You didn't plan on her death, but you still chose to give Charm that recipe to kill him!"

F.M. clenched her fists, trying to contain herself the best she could. She had to remind herself that while Coral was a culprit to her, she was still a victim to Miranda. If that made sense to her. Or anyone. After hearing that, Coral had to know why F.M. wasn't abandoning her now. "You have every right to hate me. I hurt you in such a tragic way." Coral also had a question in mind for F.M.. She just hoped it came out the right way. "So... why are you helping me after everything I did?"

What F.M. answered with surprised Coral quite a bit. "Because despite everything I'm feeling... I don't hate you. I don't think you're beyond redemption. I've seen your caring side. Your help with the seminar was proof of it to me. I want to believe that can be the real you." F.M. then thought of something else. "I should see if the others are okay with this."

"Don't panic Flare." F.M. and Coral looked to the right with shivers going down Coral's spine upon hearing that voice. Miranda emerged from some trees in the woods, holding her trident with the intent to kill F.M. and Coral. "You won't have time."

To be continued.

Rock music played as F.M started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "Of course Miranda found out where we were hiding! Coral, get out of here! I got this! No way. She's so fast! I don't doubt there are fast and strong old people out there, but this is ridiculous! I don't need you getting inside of my head Miranda! I'm gonna stop you here and now to save my family, and feel like I can help people again!"

F.M. finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with F.M. on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Call To Avenge Your Family! (F.M. was shown barely managing to dodge a string of trident stabs while backing away from Miranda) Why are you trying to kill my family!? We never did anything to try and hurt you!"
