PPX: The Routine of Liberty

Chapter three: Liberty's End Day Routine

Liberty and Jimmy were standing in the middle of the living room with Jimmy making sure Liberty remembered how their plan worked. This was Liberty's first time, and Jimmy wanted to make sure she knew what to do. "You remember how this works Liberty?" Liberty nodded her head yes, ready to get down to business as Jimmy then stood up on two legs. "Good. Then let's get started!" Jimmy bent over and pointed his butt out, grunting as he then unleashed...

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT

...a loud and bassy thirty second fart that reeked of rotten meat, making his butt vibrate as the green cloud filled the room. Liberty was used to noxious fumes by this point, so she had no problem surviving the fart as she wafted it away. "Pretty good Jimmy." Jimmy waited for Liberty to give her flatulence, and she lifted her leg with her face scrunching as...

PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT

...a massive and bassy forty five second fart left her vibrating rear end, unleashing a yellow cloud of rotten eggs that not only cleared out the room, but also caused a window to break while also making the earth shake. After witnessing this, Liberty and Jimmy started laughing together, always having a blast whenever they got to do this. "If anyone asks, a bratty teenager threw a rock at that window." Liberty nodded in response to that suggestion, since no one would get in trouble over a window. "Yep." She was just glad to show off her gross side without hurting any living beings.

Liberty had already had a brief shower at Jimmy's and caught the subway again. Now, she was riding Wheely as she headed to a local restaurant close to her alleyway. On the way, she was playing with her wagon handle by moving it up and down. She also thought about an offer Jimmy made to her after she left. 'It was a fun time. Maybe I should start going there more often. And do more stuff with him next time. Hopefully without scaring him.'

When she got to the restaurant, a male Mexican chef had her meal for her, and she stamped her front paws excitedly on the front of Wheely. The chef loved this excited reaction from her, and it made him more happy to reveal what he prepared for her. "Extra cheesy vegetarian casserole, just for you Liberty."

"Thanks Pablo." Liberty replied, happily accepting the casserole and sniffing it from the container. She could always count on Pablo's cooking to finish off her day. Especially when it was her favorite food. "I can't wait to dig into this!"

"Then get home and eat it quick." Pablo advised Liberty with a smile, knowing she would wanna eat this while it was hot. "This can only stay hot for so long." Liberty nodded in response, but as she reached for her wallet to get some cash, Pablo stopped her. "It's on the house; like always."

Liberty always felt bad about taking free helpings from others, hoping she wasn't burdening Pablo's business because of it. "Really?"

"Of course! Whatever you need to make it in this city." Pablo then made a point about why he was doing this. "I can always afford one casserole portion. And you need the food to keep moving the way you do."

Despite Liberty's guilt, she was always happy to satisfy Pablo's needs. She even decided to open up the casserole and get started on eating it. "Then I think I'll eat this right now!" When she did, she proved to be a very messy eater when it came to hot meals. She started biting at the casserole at speeds that almost made her forget to breathe. Pablo couldn't help laughing at how fast the Long Haired Dachshund was eating. When she was done, she patted her belly and let out...

UUUUURRRRRP

...a three second burp that reeked of the very vegetarian casserole she just ate. You could really smell the cheese on that one. She patted her belly while laughing a bit before thanking Pablo for the meal. "Thanks again Pablo. Just as delicious as always!"

"Always happy to help." Pablo assured Liberty as he took the container off of Wheely. As she rode off, Pablo took the time to bid her goodbye. "See you tomorrow Liberty!"

"Same time as always!" Liberty called back, sighing of relief as she continued to ride in Wheely. She always loved the cooking Pablo gave to her. After thinking about it for a bit, she snickered when coming to a possible realization. "Maybe this is why I hit that eight and a half hour fart record today."

During her evening patrol, Liberty was walking around to see if anyone around needed her help before the day was over. It didn't seem like anyone was in need of assistance, but it never hurt Liberty to check. Plus, she loved walking around the city whenever she had free time on her paws. And there was just something so peaceful about the night sky that made her feel relaxed. Maybe because she knew she could defend herself. Either way, she could never get enough of it. She DID get too much of something else however when she got near the main plaza.

And it wasn't the cars honking during the traffic either. Normally, Liberty would be able to handle that with her headphones. But this time, there was another sound playing that made it too hard for her to think straight.

A loud and lingering sound, one that you would hear from an air horn, came from the stage and caused Liberty to flinch and cover her ears. As the sound continued, she started screaming and panicking, which caught the attention of Mayor Humdinger. He stopped testing his air horn when he saw Liberty having her panic attack. This annoyed him, so he looked to his henchmen, one obese with black hair, and one skinny with blonde hair, both wearing fancy suits. "Butch! Ruben! Get that dog out of here!"

Butch and Ruben nodded and went over to where Liberty was. Everyone else saw her panic attack, and her next scream only emphasized her agony. But that didn't stop them from trying to get her away from there, feeling she could start screaming again at any moment. The blonde human bent over in an attempt to pick her up.

Touching her before speaking up proved to be a mistake however, as her tic kicked in and caused her to bite him. "Ow!" Liberty wasn't usually violent. But her panic attack caused her to do so, and when she noticed, she was filled with remorse and fear.

The human looked at his hand with the other one commenting on how lucky he was. "Glad that was you this time Ruben."

Liberty then took the time to apologize, not wanting the humans to think she was violent. Her remorse and concern were both very apparent. "I'm so sorry! I don't usually do that! I just got-"

"Forget it ya rabid weirdo! Just hurry home!" Ruben demanded, and Liberty did as instructed, as much as it hurt her to be called rabid, or a freak. Normally, Liberty would be quick to defend herself in this situation. But she felt so bad about biting a human, and hurt by what he called her, that she just ran. Ruben checked to see if he was hurt too badly, and then he noticed everyone who saw what went down looking at them and got annoyed by it. "Buzz off! We have work to do!"

Humdinger was grooming the Kitten Catastrophe Crew with his personal groomers as he sighed of relief at the dog being gone. "Finally. Now I can get back to making sure my equipment is all ready for tomorrow!" With that, he gave Butch and Ruben their commands. "Ruben! Get your hand patched up and then get back to work! Butch, do what you were doing before that mutt came around and started screaming near my stage!" Butch and Ruben got back to work, knowing that slacking off now would be a bad decision for either of them.

Liberty kept walking down the street with no one else being around to see how aggressive she got there. This relieved her, as she didn't want anyone she was fond of to start seeing her as a violent attack dog. Not to mention, that side of her was why she was scared of making real connections. She decided that it was best to just head home and clear her head. Even though the alleyway she resided on wasn't the most homey and well protected location, it was the best place for her to go when she needed to calm down for a variety of reasons.

Liberty was heading back to her alleyway, trying to wrap her head around what she'd just done. The thought of biting a human, or any creature for that matter, had disgusted her for the longest time. She sometimes wished she never had the tics that caused her to do these things. Even though her hurting people was a rare occurrence, the thought of doing so scared her to no end. She hoped she could get that off of her mind, going into her alleyway with Wheely parked where Liberty always had the little wagon. At least she couldn't hurt Wheely in any way possible for her.

Liberty got a look at her Paw Patrol collectables before she got ready for bed, and thankfully this time, her figurines in the Lookout were in the correct order. Everything in the alleyway was where it should be, from the banner, to the car she slept in every night, all the way down to the plushie she had of Wave after she decided on her new name. Liberty was always happy to see the Paw Patrol, even if only in figurine form. She always felt safe when she saw them, or even thought of them.

Liberty then went over to the puddle she always looks in when waking up, and checked her teeth for any blood. She didn't find any blood, but she looked much more anxious and despondent than she did earlier that morning. It was clear that her act of aggression upon Ruben took a toll on the rest of her day. It was a good day overall, but the ending was hard for her to handle. She just got so shell shocked from the air horn that she couldn't think straight. From air horns to fireworks, loud noises coming out of nowhere just set her off to no end.

Liberty went over to her sleeping car, hoping that she could finish off her night on a peaceful note. She opened up the driver's seat and closed the door tightly after she got in. She then started to break down crying. It was clear that the words she faced earlier hit her on a personal level. It was clear that she faced words like this a lot before, most likely before coming to Adventure City. As supportive as Adventure City was however, she couldn't move on from those times.

Liberty then started to think about the Paw Patrol, and what they would all do in her situation. She knew a lot about them, and what most of them went through in their lives before they became teenagers. Maybe they could help her, if she ever met them one day. Maybe they could help her find a place to call home. A place where she wouldn't feel like a burden no matter how hard things got. A place where she would be okay with accepting it, where she felt she belonged. But for now, she had to make sure she got her usual eight hours of sleep.

She wiped her eyes the best she could with her ears, doing her best to get ready for bed. She then got as comfortable as she could, knowing she had to get a good night's sleep for tomorrow. She hoped she would be able to stop Mayor Humdinger from whatever trouble he would cause in Adventure City. And also that one day, she could find the courage to make a truly strong bond with someone. One that could make her happy. One where she felt... understood.

She hoped the Paw Patrol could help her with that. If she could ever get in contact with them.
