Her name is Kim Nari 19 years of age. Born from Kim Shin Hye and Kim Hyun- woo
She is the only daughter of the Kim family. One of the richest families in Korea. Her father is a senator and her mother is one of the board members of the Yoon Su-Am art foundation. She studied in America since her childhood but recently transferred to South Korea to study from Shinwa. Her parents wish for her to establish connections with either the Yoon family or the Gu family to secure her future.
Kim Nari loves singing and a violin is her favorite instrument.
Kim Nari is also a childhood friend of the F4 for a short while. She has a big crush on Yoon Ji Hoo and Song Woo Bin has a crush on her.
Kim Nari befriends Geum Jan Di to get closer to Yoon Ji Hoo and win his favor
In later chapters, she briefly becomes Yoon Ji Hoo's girlfriend after Ji Hoo returns from Paris leaving Woo Bin and Jan Di suffering heartbreak. However, she catches Ji Hoo coating Jan Di and they break up.
"What precisely do you mean? Can you explain?" Jan Di asked a question in response.
"Did you know that the F4 in this school has control over life and death?" Kim Nari walked away with a smirk. Jan Di stood still, contemplating what the girl had told her.
"My Ji Hoo would never be associated with such people," she murmured firmly to herself as she walked to her classes.
…
"It's F4" yelled a boy at the top of his lungs, and all students and teachers who were already in class rushed out to greet the four boys.
Jun Pyo and his friends paused and glanced about, arrogantly enjoying the attention, but that all changed when he noticed a boy among the group wearing the same shirt as him.
He approached the boy and stood in front of him, glaring coldly at him.
"What? "Is there something wrong?" the boy asked innocently, but with anxiety.
"I'll give you a count of three," he stated coldly, his gaze fixed on the boy's shirt, which was similar to his.
" For...what? " The student raised his brows and inquired, but received no response.
Jun Pyo began the countdown while gripping the boy's shirt, "three...two...one." Gu Jun Pyo took the boy by the collar and called over his shoulder when he didn't barge.
"Woo Bin-ah, do you have any more juice left?"
Woo Bin nodded, handed him a bottle of concentrated orange juice, and averted his gaze. 'What's the problem with wearing the same shirt as him?'
After the boy's shirt was drenched with orange juice, the same girl from the news who saved a student approached them. The girl was angry, but she wasn't looking at Gu Jun Pyo. She was looking at Ji Hoo.
As she walked, she could hear loud squeals and sighs coming from the main entrance, and out of curiosity, she decided to go and check it out. When she got there, it was too crowded and she went to the balcony to watch what was happening, and her gaze settled on Ji Hoo who stood emotionless while the curly-haired boy poured juice on a student.
Being annoyed she rushed downstairs and stood in front of the F4 boys with an angry pout.
Her gaze was drawn to Ji Hoo, who appeared surprised to see her.
"So, it's true?" She stated this with disappointment in her eyes and voice. "Is it true you're a member of F4" she inquired.
"Jan Di-ah—" Ji Hoo said while looking down.
"Is it also true that you and your friends were on the verge of pushing a student over the building and killing himself?"
Ji Hoo looked down, guilty that he and his friends had pushed someone to death.
Whispers had begun, and Gu Jun Pyo was agitated.
When she didn't obtain the response she needed, she shouted again, "Answer me, Yoon Ji Hoo!"
When his name was mentioned, his friends decided to approach him for an explanation, but he ignored them and opened his lips to reply. "I thought if I told you, you'd blame me, and then—"
In her rage, she lifted her hand to slap him, but she paused and decided to allow him to defend himself. "What are you doing with these people? These murderers?"
Ji Hoo opened his eyes and walked past his best friend, who was furious at being called a murderer and stood in front of her. When he realized how much attention they were receiving, he added, "You can slap me and do whatever you want as long as it cools your anger."
"Who really is this commoner, Ji Hoo?" And why is she referring to us as murderers?" Jun Pyo asked, his chilly gaze fixed on Jan Di. "Tell her to get out of our—"
"Gu Jun Pyo," Ji Hoo cut him off sharply. Ji Hoo will never allow anyone to refer to Jan Di as a commoner or speak harshly to her. "You may go ahead without me; I need to talk to my best friend," he said as he took Jan Di's wrist and dragged her out of the main hall, despite her protests.
Jun Pyo's eyelids twitched in irritation. "What is her name?" Yi Jeong asked.
"I suppose that's the wonder girl who saved Shinhwa from sinking," Woo Bin said. "All right, let's go."
"Yes,"
"I thought she was going to slap him for a second." Yi Jeong said
Woo Bin's lips curled into a smile and he added, "Me too."
Ji Hoo led Jan Di to the swimming pool and sat her on a bench. He was embarrassed to look at her, but he wanted to explain what she had seen. Kneeling in front of her, he muttered, "Otter..." He gently placed his hand on her cheek and softly caressed it.
"Can you just tell me it's not true?" she sniffed.
He cupped his hands over her cheeks. He hated it when she cried, and the thought that he was the one who had wounded her hurt his heart. "Those are also kindergarten friends of mine. But I can promise you that they are good people," he said.
"But they said...that you and your friends have power over life and death, and they almost murdered someone."
"Jan Di-ah, how can you say that?" "We are neither Gods nor are we killers," he lamented. "I understand where you're coming from, but never question me." Arasso?"
Jan Di wrapped her arms around Ji Hoo's neck, compelling him to close his eyes and return her embrace. His hand went to her silk long hair and began to stroke it, breathing in the sweet scent of lotuses and water that he had loved ever since they were children. It always had that warmth and calming effect on him and not even Seo Hyun had that effect on him.
"I trust you, but I don't trust your friends," she explained.
Ji Hoo drew her back to arm's length and stared into her eyes, relieved that she hadn't abandoned him because of what she had seen.
"Gomawo Jan Di-ah, thank you for not abandoning me and for believing in me, but it's becoming late. Let's discuss over lunch," he murmured as he rose from his knees. "All right, let's go to class."
Jan Di still wanted to ask him so many questions, but they both needed to get to class.
"I obtained the information," Woo Bin informed Jun Pyo.
"So, what did you discover about her?"
"She is Ji Hoo's grandfather's former secretary's daughter." He replied
"I seem to remember seeing her previously," Yi Jeong observed, remembering Ji Hoo's parents' funeral. When his buddies looked puzzled, he proceeded to talk. "She is the girl who promised Ji Hoo that she would never leave him for the rest of his life during his parents' burial," he added.
"Yeah!" Woo Bin and Jun Pyo exclaimed recalling the girl who had rushed to Ji Hoo and held him as his grandfather left him with only servants to look after him. "But even so—" Jun Pyo started to say something but was cut short by the door opening.
Ji Hoo entered their classroom, and Kim Nari followed. "Hello there, gentlemen. "It's been a long time," she remarked.
Woo Bin appeared stunned at first. When he saw his dearest friend, his childhood crush, his heart pounded with joy.
Woo Bin approached her one step at a time, taking in her appearance after the F2 greeted her and hugged her. Woo Bin has always thought Kim Nari is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. She looked like a goddess now that she had returned and nobody could compare to her.
"Oppa," she said.
Woo Bin moved his hand to brush her face, feeling the lovely smooth skin on his palms, "Nari-ah? Is it really you?" He inquired, not believing she was here.
"Yes, Oppa," she said as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
Woo Bin wrapped his muscular arms over her back and returned the embrace. "I missed you," he admitted.
"I missed you two," she said as well. She suddenly remembered Ji Hoo's muscular arms around her when he returned after talking to Jan Di. She had wanted to stay in his arms for eternity but Ji Hoo drew away much to her liking. She knew Ji Hoo liked someone else but her efforts went to waist every time she made an advance on him
Nari stared behind Woo Bin's back and her gaze was drawn to Ji Hoo, who was turning on his computer not bothering his presence. She had seen how he held Jan Di in his arms and wished he could hold her and stroke her hair, inhale in her scent but that was impossible.
Woo Bin took her up to arm's length and peered into her eyes, then to her lips, for what seemed like an eternity. He knew she liked Ji Hoo but couldn't help but lean in, and before anything could happen, their lecturer cleared his throat.
"Let's start our lessons," he said.
The F4 went into the cafeteria in the afternoon to eat lunch with Kim Nari. She walked among four handsome men, making her feel like the most special woman in the entire world. She turned around to find Ji Hoo looking about as if looking for someone. "Who are you looking for, Ji Hoo?" she inquired.
"I'm looking for Jan Di," he said, keeping his attention fixed on the cafeteria corner. His lips twisted into a faint smile as he walked away.
Jun Pyo scowled and said he was going to give the commoner a red card, but he wasn't sure how.
...
"There you are, Otter..." Ji Hoo kissed her on the cheek before taking a seat across from her.
"Ji Hoo," she exclaimed.
"Are you still upset with me?"
"No. Do you want to eat something?" She inquired, offering him a fork.
Ji Hoo grinned as he took a fork. He had always enjoyed eating whatever she had prepared. It was always healthy food much better than the cafeteria Junk food that wasn't healthy for his body. He began eating his favorite chicken salads, "Was it Omma who prepared this?"
"No, I prepared it for you," she said adding some balsamic and Olive oil for him
"Then thank you" he ate but he knew deep down she wasn't happy at all. He began wondering who informed her about his F4 friends.
"Oppa..." she said and for the first time, Ji Hoo was happy. He had tried possible ways to get her to call him that and finally, she said.
Ji Hoo extended his hand to hers and held her chin and looked into her eyes. "I promise, with me here, nobody will ever hurt you"
...
The following morning...
"Goo Joong Pyo! You're nothing but garbage!" Jan Di yelled, her voice echoing across the early air. "You filthy flies! If you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you should be grateful and courteous to others! You do not deserve to be the Shinhwa group's heir! I caution you. Don't make an appearance in front of me or I'm going to jump off the roof the day I call you Sunbae!" Then comes the most audible scream.
A faint yawn interrupted her ranting, and she turned to see a pair of white sneakers gently disappear. The individual rose and gaped.
Yoon Ji Hoo stretched as he stood up.
"Come on, Otter. Why are you making such a racket so early in the morning?" Before glancing at her, fixing his hair. You're making it impossible for me to sleep."
"I'm sorry, I didn't expect anyone to be here." He stepped up to her with a grin on his face and asked, "Is it true?" He inquired, and she raised her attention to look at him.
"Eh? "
"You're going to jump off the roof."
"See, here's the thing...You heard all I said?" She gave him a sheepish look.
"What? trash? or dung flies?" He laughed and moved away from her. She gulped painfully for having mentioned his friend in such a way, and she placed her gaze on the ground.
"Oh, yes," he said as he walked away, "it's Jun Pyo." Gu Jun Pyo is his name. You should at the very least know the name of the person you despise."
He observed Ji Hoo fix the collar of her uniform and put a kiss on her forehead, and she puffed out her cheek in humiliation. "Did the driver bring you here safely?"
"Yes," she said, smiling.
"That's good to know. I have a lecture that I absolutely despise." He stated as he turned her around and wrapped his arms around her waist and shoulder from behind.
Jan Di took in a breath of pleasurable surprise, completely forgetting about his disagreement with his friend in an instant. "Mianhae, Oppa..." she whispered timidly.
Ji Hoo appeared satisfied with this, and he placed his chin between his own arm and the crook of her neck, utterly capturing her. "That's much better," he said into her ear, sending shivers up and down her spine.
Jan Di remained still. She closed her eyes reflexively, warmth snaking throughout her body despite the cool air around them, and absorbed in the feel and fragrance of him. Jan Di couldn't pinpoint her feelings on what it was about Ji Hoo, but she was confident it didn't get much better than this moment, right here and now. She eventually calmed down enough to lean back slightly to rest her head against his chest.
They said nothing for a while Jan Di looked out across the Shinhwa campus. Although the temperature was low, there was something to be said about body heat... Jan Di saw Ji Hoo was immobile against her, and she wondered briefly whether he'd fallen asleep—not that it would disturb her if he had...
Jan Di was gradually warming up to Ji Hoo, but he still managed to set her heart racing like a furious butterfly. It was strange how he could make her feel so at ease while still making her feel so restless. But it wasn't an unpleasant agitation... It felt more like a surge... She'd heard that this love thing was the most fantastic natural high... And it was true—Jan Di had witnessed it firsthand—and she couldn't imagine anything more exhilarating than flying.
But, like extreme sports, something was terrifying and even deadly about being so in love as she was. She was falling—hard and fast—and it was so intense that Jan Di felt she'd never be able to say no to Ji Hoo, not that he'd ever take advantage of it. Her greatest worry was that she would one day lose him... She was terrified of what it would do to her... But Jan Di reminded herself that she was only going to enjoy it while it lasted...
Jan Di had to grin when she discovered Ji Hoo had fallen asleep on her shoulder while she was thinking. How in the world did this man end himself in such a position?! He was a complete mystery to her, but a lovely one, and she was thoroughly enjoying learning more about him each day.
Jan Di shifted her gaze to her side, a pleasant grin crossing her lips as she took in his soft yet gorgeous features, dark lashes, and the hint of a serene smile on his face while he slept. Ji Hoo seemed so serene that she despised waking him, despite the perilous situation he was in. Not at all. She didn't mind having him against her... But they had to get to class at some point, and soon.
"Oppa," Jan Di eventually muttered, stirring. "You fell asleep," she said kindly.
Ji Hoo gradually released her, and Jan Di turned to face him, resting gently on the balcony.
"Oh, I suppose I did," he said. Jan Di laughed a short, charming giggle. Her chuckle was one of Ji Hoo's favorite sounds.
"Jan Di-ah Mianhae I simply missed sleeping next to you..." He sighed contentedly and stretched out to softly trace her cheek with his fingertips. Jan Di's cheeks flushed with his touch, and she looked down at her boots.
"Jan Di, who told you about F4?"
Jan Di pondered recalling the beautiful girl walking beside F4. "It's that girl that was walking with you and your group"
"You mean Nari?"
"Yes"
Ji Hoo quarrels with Kim Nari for telling Jan Di the truth. Jan Di in turn gets a red card for making the F2 fight.
Ji Hoo breaks off his ties with the F3 and Kim Nari because Jan Di is almost beaten to death.
Will the F4 mend their relationship?
Will Jan Di convince Ji Hoo to make amends with the F3?
Min Seo Hyun returns
Yi Jeong and Ga Eul meet for the first time.
