I don't own MacGyver.

This is all told from Mac's POV.

This is a sort of follow up to my story What You Lost And What I Found. And I'm already thinking of a follow up to this! Hope you enjoy... And pretty please review!

Twelve Hours.

Twelve hours since Riley said two little words.

Twelve hours since my heart felt like it would pound out of my chest.

Twelve hours since whatever training I had for this went out the window.

Twelve hours since I felt so terrified for Riley and for...

Twelve hours since the most beautiful sound I've ever heard I've ever heard filled the room.

In half a day, my life has never felt more complete.

Now I'm staring at the two most beautiful people I've ever seen.

I can't turn my eyes away from this perfect little person.

Those eyes are mine, but that nose is definitely Riley's.

I marvel at the tiny fingers that curl around my finger.

Ten fingers and ten toes, I counted them twice.

My heart has never felt so full.

My son.

I hold the most amazing baby boy in my arms as Riley sleeps. I know she was exhausted, but she wanted to stay awake as long as she could.

I'm sitting next to her on the bed, in awe of this person.

We never thought we'd have so much love and happiness. I never thought I could spend so much time just staring.

This baby boy has made our lives complete.

He's less than a day old, and I already can't imagine my life without him.

I hear the tiniest cry as he reaches his hand out of the blanket.

Riley's eyes open, her mother's instinct already strong.

She snuggles closer and gently kisses our son's head.

He opens his eyes and looks at me. I'm in awe as I look at this perfect baby boy.

Riley runs a gentle finger on his arm. I bring his little hand to my lips and give it a soft kiss.

I swear I see him give a tiny smile.

Riley stares at our baby boy. "He's here," she says just above a whisper.

I nod. "Our baby son."

We smile at each other, then back at our son. We're both in awe of this little boy.

He looks at me, and I can't help but tear up. I've never felt so much love before.

Riley smiles. "I just...we made this beautiful baby boy."

All I can do is nod. "We did."

He stretches out his hand and Riley gently takes it. There's so much love in just how she kisses his fingers.

"You know," Riley says, "if you don't like his name..."

"I love it," I say with a loving smile. I give her our baby. She looks at him with so much love it takes my breath away.

"I just...if you want to do something else..."

"It's... Perfect." I assure her with a loving smile before looking at the baby. He's the perfect mix of both of us.

"Oh..." She smiles at our son. "You're perfect." I smile in agreement as he looks at us.

A knock at the door pulls us out of our thoughts. Bozer peers in. "You up for some visitors?"

"Yeah," Riley and I answer. Bozer and Riley's mother Diane come in, followed by Matty and Russ.

Diane beams with pride at her daughter. "You okay?"

Riley smiles with more love than before. "We're great." She lovingly holds our son. "Say 'hi family'."

"Yeah," I add as I take his hand. I gently wave for a moment before he pulls it back.

"He's beautiful," Matty says. She won't admit it, but I see a tear in her eye.

Riley clears her throat softly. "Bozer, Matty...say hi to your godson."

Both godparents smile at our little family.

I wrap my arm around Riley and put my hand on his chest. "Jace... This is your family."

Our guests look at each other and our son. Russ raises an eyebrow. "Jace?"

Riley and I share a smile before looking at our son. "Mac's nickname for him," Riley says with a loving smile.

"Yeah," I add. "I just put his initials together." I look at him, then at our extended family. "J.C."

Matty and Bozer share a smile, knowing who he's named after.

Riley kisses his head and smiles. "Everyone... Meet our son."

She smiles at me, and my attention is focused on my son. I smile lovingly at my son and say his name out loud.

"Jack Charles MacGyver."
