Chapter 35: The Ghost of Myotismon:
This Chapter takes place during the Oikawa Arc
Oikawa, Arukenimon, and Mummymon are watching a ghost movie.
"Get her, Grandma," says Mummymon.
...
Later that night, as they all sleep, Myotismon exits Oikawa's body. "That movie gave me an idea. As a ghost, I can steal the Digidestined's D-3's, and they won't be a threat anymore."
...
Myotismon sneaks into Davis' room. He goes to the D-3 but learns he can't grab it. "No! Stupid ghost hands!" He then sees Sakuya Yamamoto laughing at him. "What is so funny?"
"You are! You can't just float in and pick things up." Sakuya then picks up the D-3. "Here you go." She's taunting Myotismon.
"I suppose I have never actually practiced with my current state."
"Lucky for you, I have a soft spot for thieves." Sakuya opens her chest and pokes a hole in her heart. It then deflates. "I can teach you how to pick things up."
"Excellent," says Myotismon.
"But first, you need to learn the "basics" of being a ghost."
...
"First lesson... Shape-shifting. Shape-shifting is one of the easiest things a ghost can do. You just have to think of a horrible thing and poof!" Sakuya takes the form of a monster, a walrus, a rattlesnake, a bat, and a Mimi look-alike. "You become it!" Turns back to normal. "Now you try." Myotismon then turns to an odd shape. "That's not horrible! Bad Ghost!" Myotismon then turns to Sakuya with a mask. "Much better."
"Now, can you teach me how to pick things up?"
"Not yet."
...
"Next lesson, scaring. Pay close attention." A robber comes by and Sakuya scares him. "Now, let's see..." Myotismon scares Sakuya. "I guess scaring me counts. Good job."
...
"Next lesson, haunting houses." They see Veemon sleeping. "All right, pupil, it's time to apply all you've learned and frighten this guy's legs off."
Myotismon wakes up Veemon.
"Huhh? Who's there," asks Veemon.
Myotismon possesses a dresser and gets Veemon covered in ectoplasm.
"Oooh. Monster mouth with a bucket of ghost goo—very good marks."
"It's just a nightmare," says Veemon, "that's all! A knock-knock joke will make me feel better." Veemon's jokes then start annoying the ghosts. Myotismon then picks Veemon up and scares him. Veemon runs out. Davis is still asleep.
"I managed to pick him up," says Myotismon.
"Look at you. You skipped ahead to the last lesson! Last lesson! How to pick things up. As you discovered, to pick things up, you gotta get really angry!"
"Why did you not tell me that before?"
"I have nothing left to teach you." Sakuya then leaves.
Myotismon then picks up the D-3 and tries to leave with it, but he can't get it through the wall. "What?"
Sakuya returns. "Guess you didn't think that one through all the way, did ya?"
"This is ridiculous. I might as well return to Oikawa." Myotismon then leaves through the wall.
...
Myotismon finds Oikawa and is about to enter.
"Thanks for the idea," says Sakuya.
"What are you doing," asks Myotismon.
"I haven't possessed a body in years!" Sakuya enters Oikawa's body. "I'm alive! It's great to be back!"
"You'll pay for that," says Myotismon.
Sakuya then goes outside.
...
"What a beautifully, terrible night," says Sakuya.
"I don't know how you did it," says Veemon, "but I know you did it!" Veemon then headbutts her/him and keeps doing it.
...
"He's all yours," says Sakuya, "I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather be a dead me then a live him."
"Well, now that's over." Myotismon then reenters Oikawa's body.
...
The next morning, Oikawa wakes up. "I feel so much pain. What happened last night?"
"Want to hear a ghost story," asks Mummymon.
"The End," says Sakuya.
