(Four days later)
A breeze blew over Victor's hair as the sun sank, adding a peaceful element to the moment as he sat on the balcony. He felt a strong connection to the beat of nature as he watched the sun set in the west. He was overcome with gratitude for the basic beauty of life as the last of the light faded away beyond the horizon. He found peace in nature when everything else seemed chaotic and overwhelming.
With the sliding door open, Emily stepped out on the balcony with a few alcoholic drinks with her. Victor turned his head to notice Emily, carrying a few alcoholic drinks, strolling out onto the balcony. Victor noticed she was wearing fashionable white lingerie and matching white heels. She moved to Victor's side, placed alcoholic drinks on the table, and took a seat on his lap.
"So what are you doing out here all alone?" asked Emily. "When could you be inside, making love to me in your bed?" "I was enjoying the sunset as I do every day in peace," shot back Victor. Emily was only Zoe's stand-in until the day came when Zoe would be in his arms, sleeping in his arms, and he would make love to her every night.
Any breeze that touched his skin lightly gave him a sense of calm and contentment. He knew everything would be okay when the sun sank and the stars started to glimmer in the night sky. As the moon rises into the night sky, a hint of Alpha female fragrance was also present in the air, drawing his attention and igniting a deep-seated need in him. He knew it was Zoe calling for him when he heard a female wolf howling as the moon lifted into the night sky.
After shoving Emily to the ground, Victor stood up. He moved above Emily and headed towards the balcony railing. He leaned over the balcony rail, listening to the howling once more and attempting to pinpoint its direction as he began to try to search the area for Alpha Female's scent.
The sound of the second howl filled the night air and Logan unlocked the sliding door. Emily said, "What the hell, Victor?" Logan bolted to the balcony railing, stopped, and began to look around. Using their distinct scents, Victor and Logan attempted to determine that the object was, in fact, their young mate. Four days ago, Zoe vanished from sight. Considering that Remy had returned her from the hidden nightclub.
Logan moved to the side of the balcony. He could sense that she was reaching for her peck and could smell the aroma of feminine hormones until fresh air passed past his nose. Logan grunted as Victor turned to see what was going on, saying, "Our girlfriend is reaching the peak of her heat." They knew she was calling for them when they heard her howling once more.
Emily yelled, "What the fuck, Victor?" as she stood behind Logan and Victor. "I'm your goddamn girlfriend." "Here, acting like a wild animal over a bitch in heat." Emily was left alone to stand on the balcony as Victor and Logan hurried to their living room.
"Let's go; we need to satisfy all her desires," declared Victor. Logan said, "Condoms!" Victor and Logan realized that if they didn't use protection, they might conceive her. Victor exclaimed, "Very good!" They both bolted for their beds and condom boxes. They wanted to make sure they were using safe sexual practices and being responsible. Victor grabbed his pack of flavored condoms, while Logan got his condoms and some luxury lubricant.
Emily stormed into Victor's bedroom and started screaming at him. Logan was leaving his sleeping quarters. He heard a massive roar a few seconds later, and Emily bolted from Victor's bedroom, her clothes cradled in her arms, and towards the front door. Logan realized that Victor's darker nature had come to the surface. Emily was either scared of Victor to the end or dreadful of what he would do.
Victor exited his sleeping quarters. Logan sniffed the air and said, "Vic." Victor asked, "What rut?" as he turned to face Logan. "I don't know whether you realize it, but you smell like Emily," Logan replied. Our mate might not want to get a whiff of another female on you. "It might annoy her, and Zoe might not want to mate with you."
Victor realized that Logan was correct and that Zoe would consent to having another lady scent him out. Before it looks for Zoe, it turns to face the bedroom to take a shower and get rid of Emily's smell.
(Three months later)
Logan and Victor were seated at a little diner outside of Dothan, Alabama. After they finished the task they were assigned to complete for Mr. Anderson, Victor took a sip of his sweet tea during their meal together. Victor said, "I can't believe Mr. Anderson is going after the guy who took his money and is now on the run from us."
Logan gave a nod of approval. "Yeah, it's crazy how things have escalated so quickly." Victor replied, "Mr. Anderson stated we have to get money back and take care of the problem." Logan responded, "I just hope we can handle it without things getting out of hand." Victor said, "We'll figure it out together, like we always do."
Logan said, "Like the night spent searching for our mate that we never found." Victor chuckled. "Yeah, that was quite the adventure." "We searched the whole city looking for our mate. Logan added, "But we always have each other's backs, no matter what." One day, we will find our little mate again.
Victor said, Drink your milk, Jimmy." Logan smiled and nodded, knowing that no matter what challenges they faced, they would always have each other together. "We'll find her one day; Remy won't stay in another way." Victor said it with determination. Logan nodded in agreement, grateful for the bond they shared as brothers.
At the same time, at Fayette County Airport, on the outskirts of Somerville, Tennessee. Zoe was watching her target, noticing the right time to make her move. Before boarding the plane, leave with money for a new location. She knew she had to act quickly and efficiently in order to retrieve the stolen funds without drawing attention to herself. With a deep breath, Zoe prepared herself for the mission ahead, determined to succeed no matter what obstacles came her way.
The young man went to use John in the men's restroom. Zoe peered around and noticed no one was around. She entered the men's bathroom. She walked silently behind him while he stood using the pee urinal. Zoe reached up, wrapped her arm around his neck, and started breaking his neck until he gasped and heard a small pop. His whole body went limp, dragging him across the stall and placing him on the toilet after catching him from behind.
She took a smartphone out of her pocket. Zoe snapped a photo and texted Remy to inform Mr. Anderson that Huntress had completed the task. Seconds later, Remy texted back and received a response. "Well done!" "Money has been sent." "The next job is in Des Moines, Iowa." "Call you later."
With the money bag in hand, Zoe hurried out of the men's restroom and onto her motorcycle. Back at the cafe, Victor's phone alerted him to Zoe's active smartphone use. Victor reached over to retrieve his phone and utilized the app to track down Zoe's whereabouts in Somerville, Tennessee. When Victor learned where Zoe was—in the next state over—he grinned.
"What's that?" Logan asked. "Our mate is in Somerville, Tennessee, right now," Victor retorted. "Do you think Remy is doing it because our mate is so far out of town?" asked Logan. "No," Victor shook his head, "I think Remy is after something else." "We need to find out what Zoe is up to in Tennessee." Logan gave a nod of approval. "Let's finish this job fast, and then go get darling; we need to catch up with her before it's too late."
Logan and Victor both get up and leave the table to look for the deceased man. as the huntress had completed the task earlier while eating dinner in an inebriated manner. Logan couldn't get rid of the uneasy sensation that Zoe was up to no good as they left the restaurant. Assuredly, Victor said, "We'll figure it out together, just like we always do."
(The hunt)
Three days later, Zoe arrives at the Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa. She is excited to explore the various attractions and food vendors that the fairgrounds have to offer. As she walks through the entrance gate, she can already hear the sounds of laughter and music coming from different directions. The smell of fried food and cotton candy fills the air, adding to the festive atmosphere. Zoe can't wait to try all the different treats and experience everything the fair has in store for her.
She plans to enjoy her time at this fairground while searching for Christopher Bradley. Zoe's heart races with anticipation as she navigates through the bustling crowds, hoping to catch a glimpse of Christopher Bradley among the sea of faces. With each step she takes, her excitement grows, and she is eager to reunite with him in this lively and vibrant setting.
Remy had informed her that Christopher Bradley was the Carnival side show operator. As Zoe weaves her way through the attractions, the scent of cotton candy and popcorn fills the air, adding to the festive atmosphere. She can't help but feel a sense of adventure as she continues her search for Christopher Bradley among the colorful tents and lively music of the fairground.
That is, until she sees Christopher Bradley, seated with a light-bulb at the entrance to the freak show tent. She observed a few adolescents paying money to switch off a light-bulb. Zoe remembered that Christopher Bradley was a mutant ability to control electrical devices. She realizes that he is using his unique ability to entertain the crowd.
Zoe watches in awe as Christopher captivates the audience with his electrifying performance, showcasing his extraordinary talent in a way she has never seen before. She can't help but admire his confidence and skill, feeling a newfound sense of respect for him as she witnesses the impact he has on those around him.
When her cellphone started ringing, she reached down, taking her cellphone out of her pocket, to notice Victor Creed's name appeared on the caller ID. Zoe answered it and said, "Hey, honey, miss me." Victor responded with a chuckle, "Of course I did." "How's your day going?" Zoe smiled, feeling warmth spread through her as they caught up on each other's lives. Zoe said, "On fait bien!. Victor realized that she was speaking French and had said, "Doing great!" He remembers that his mate was raised around New Orleans, Louisiana. Which meant speaking French was normal for them.
Victor asked, "Where are you?" Zoe said, "Hunting, at the Atchafalaya River Basin." Victor chuckled, knowing Zoe's feral side must love the outdoors. He replied, "Don't get lost out there!" Zoe laughed and promised to be careful before hanging up the phone. Zoe rolled her eyes and thought to keep them busy while she found her busy with Bradley.
While using her cellphone, she kept her eyes on Bradly. Knowing that soon, she would like to discuss with Bradley paying back the load that he owns to Mr. Anderson, the time has come to pay it back. He was past due on the last two payments.
Remy had told Zoe that she was going to the Iowa fairgrounds in Des Moines. Locate Christopher Bradley and ensure that he settles the debt before it becomes too late. Zoe was aware that she needed to move quickly to get Christopher Bradley to pay off his debt and prevent any more issues. Christopher Bradly would lose his life the next time she appeared in front of him. Given her well-established reputation as a debt collector, Zoe was a formidable opponent. She was going to make sure Bradley knew what would happen if he didn't pay back his debts.
Zoe knew the best time for a private meeting with Christopher Bradly was when he returned to tailor for the night. She made sure to schedule their meeting during the last hour before closing time, when the few people around could hear his scream. This way, she could persuade him to pay Mr. Anderson.
As Zoe drifted back into the crawd of people until time to Christopher Bradly in his trailer. While enjoying her time before the meeting, Zoe observed the family enjoying time together. She noticed most families had a mother, father, daughter, or son, and they were happy to be together.
Knowing that her biological father disappeared, leaving her alone in the woods when she was just three years old, Zoe couldn't help but feel envious of the families as she observed their interactions. Zoe had an overwhelming feeling of loneliness as she thought back on her history.
Until she remembered, Remy discovered her in the swamps at the age of five years old. Zoe quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand. She knew that getting Christopher Bradly to pay Mr. Anderson was crucial for her survival in this cutthroat world.
(Christopher Bradley)
After the last custemer lifted the fairground, Zoe waited until no one was around or walking the ground, moving and throwing shadows until she arrived at Christopher Bradley's Trailor. She reached up and knocked on the door. After a few moments, the door creaked open, and Christopher peered out, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Zoe standing there. "What are you doing here?" he asked, a mixture of confusion and curiosity in his voice.
With a grin and a flash of fangs, Zoe asked, "Are you going to invint me?" After a moment of hesitation, Bradley smiled, turned, walked away from the door, and said, "Would you like a drink?" Zoe sniffed the air, smiled, and said, "Yes, thank you!"
As Bradley started pouring the drink and said, "So, what brings you to my humble abode?" Zoe's eyes sparkled mischievously as she replied, "Just thought I'd drop by and see how you're doing." Bradley chuckled, pouring the drink and saying, "Well, I'm glad you did. Cheers to unexpected visits."
As they clinked their glasses together, Zoe's smile widened, and she thought to herself that this impromptu visit might turn out to be quite interesting after all. Bradley raised his glass and said, "To unexpected surprises."
Zoe put glass on the table and said, "The reason that came here is that you have missed two payments to Mr. Anderson." Bradley's smile faltered slightly as he realized the purpose of Zoe's visit, but he quickly regained his composure and replied, "I must have forgotten to make those payments." "I'll take care of it right away." Zoe nodded, relieved that Bradley was taking responsibility for the situation.
Bradley said, "I'm writing you a check right now." Zoe said, "Do I look like a fuck bank?" "Cash, or I can break both of your legs right now." Bradley's eyes widened in shock at Zoe's sudden change in demeanor, realizing the seriousness of the situation.
He quickly dashed for his wall safe, and opened it. Reaching inside, pulling out the box, and opening it, there was a stack of cash. He handed over the cash, apologizing profusely for his mistake. Zoe accepted the payment with a stern expression, making it clear that she expected no further issues with Mr. Anderson's payments.
Zoe walked to the table, picked up the glass, and said, You have only three more payments to Mr. Anderson's or the next guy that arrives while not being so nice. "What I hear is that he is an animal and goes by the name of Victor Creed." Zoe's warning sent a chill down Christopher Bradley's spine as he realized the seriousness of the situation. He made a mental note to ensure his payments were made on time to avoid any further trouble with Victor Creed.
Before Zoe exited and said, Remember what I said, You have a lovely night, she threw the door and disappeared into the shadows. Christopher knew he had to tread carefully to avoid crossing paths with Victor Creed again. As he locked the door behind Zoe, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air.
