Mr. Mark stated firmly, "This is in your best interest. I expect both of you to cease your complaints. You will be attending that camp." He continued, "You have been given numerous opportunities to adopt a more positive and respectful demeanor, yet you have not succeeded. Attending this camp will be highly advantageous for you. I will not tolerate any outbursts; do you comprehend? We are guests here, so I expect you to conduct yourselves appropriately."

Lucas and Audrey begrudgingly acquiesced to their father's directive.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, the boys and Katie settle onto the couch, ready to dive into their favorite pastime: video gaming. Lucas, always curious, leans in and asks, "What are you playing?" James, fully absorbed in the action unfolding on the screen, replies without looking away, "Battle Blast 5: Zombie Apocalypse." The vibrant graphics and intense gameplay seem to transport him into another world, where every moment counts and every decision can mean victory or defeat.

As the game progresses, Lucas observes the chaos on the screen and comments, "It looks hard to play." This remark draws an irritated response from James, who is trying to concentrate. "It is when you keep talking to me. Be quiet. I'm trying to focus."

The tension heightens as Carlos, another player in the mix, shouts out warnings and strategies. "Carlos, watch out! The enemy is to your right! Obliterate them with your bazooka!" James urges, showcasing the camaraderie and competitive spirit that fills the room.

Carlos, determined to prove his skills, presses the buttons on his controller with precision. "On it!" he exclaims, executing a well-timed move that leads to a successful takedown of the virtual foes. "I got them! 500 points! Whoo!" he celebrates, exchanging high fives with James. Their laughter and excitement echo through the living room, illustrating the joy of friendship and the thrill of gaming, making this morning a memorable one for all.

"Outstanding performance, Carlos. The enemy fire was intense," Logan remarks.

"You did an exceptional job in overcoming them," Kendall adds.

"The bloodshed was incredible! Do it again—let's see more zombies explode!" Katie exclaims with enthusiasm.

"This is precisely why I am often reluctant to allow you to observe our gameplay," Kendall responds.

"Why? I'm not afraid. I can manage it," Katie insists.

"I understand that, but I remain concerned about the potential psychological impact of watching such graphic violence in a video game," Kendall explains.

"I'll be perfectly fine. You, James, Carlos, and Logan have been engaged with this game series for years and have turned out well. None of you exhibit behaviors that reflect what occurs in the game. You are all kind and possess wonderful personalities. Just because I am the youngest here does not imply that I cannot handle exposure to this game," Katie argues.

"Alright, Katie. You make a valid point," Kendall concedes. "I feel fortunate to have such an amazing little sister like you."

"Carlos, could you help me and Audrey learn Spanish?" Lucas inquires.

Carlos pauses the game, his expression a mix of surprise and confusion. "What?" he replies, taken aback by the request.

"We really want to pick up Spanish. Logan speaks it so well! Remember that time at the lake house when you and Logan were on that wild jet ski? He spoke Spanish to you to help you calm down and turn it off. I want to be able to do that too," Lucas explains eagerly.

"It took Logan years to get that good, and I was there to help him. I'm not going to waste my time teaching you and Audrey. And yes, I remember that terrifying jet ski incident. Now, can I please get back to the game?" He resumes playing.

"Just a few basic words, please," Audrey pleads.

"You don't need me for that. You can take online classes, read Spanish books, or use language apps. I'm not getting involved. Just let me focus," Carlos replies, his eyes glued to the screen. "Kendall, duck! A huge, ugly zombie is about to attack your character! Do the move I told you! Double A, down, left, left, right, and up in that order! Hurry! The zombie is closing in!"

Kendall expertly executes the commands on his controller, dodging the enemy and taking them out. "Got it! Boom!"
