"Sara, what did you call me here for?" Laurel Lance stared as her sister Sara opened the door of the Waverider.

"Listen, Laurel," Sara said, with some pain in her voice. "I was blinded by a goddess." Laurel understood why her voice sounded as it did. Sara wasn't really her sister. Sara's real sister was long dead, she was just a copy to her. It would take time for Sara to fully accept her as "Laurel". But Laurel had a dead sister too. In fact, her entire family was dead. Thanks to the Crisis of Infinite Earths, in which she was the only known survivor of her universe.

"And? Did you get mystical powers?" Laurel joked, heading towards the galley.

"Yes," Sara replied, causing Laurel to become shocked and turn back around. "I received prophetic visions. And weird dreams. And then my girlfriend got abducted by aliens."

"Sorry about Eva-" Laurel attempted to put her hand on Sara's shoulder.

"Ava." Sara cautiously removed Laurel's hand.

"Whatever. How do you know it was aliens?"

"Because I saw the beam. Couldn't save her, I tried."

"You're not very good at saving people, are you?"

"At least my dad returned thanks to the Crisis!"

Laurel smacked her forehead. "He was my father too!"

"No-look, we're getting sidetracked. What I came here to tell you about is I saw the multiverse being restored. In one of my visions."

Uninterested in the conversation, Laurel started looking around for the other Legends. "In one of your visions? Okay, Cisco."

"It's the truth. And actually, Cisco would be a good person to consult about this."

"Don't the vibrational frequencies no longer work or some crap?"

"There's another way. I saw it. Apparently, the multiverse can only be reopened by spreading alien particles around the temporal zone."

"And you expect us to just find the planet your girlfriend was on right off the bat?" Laurel opened her mouth, almost like she was going to sonic scream at Sara, but closed it.

"Why do you care so much?"

Peering at the bookshelf, Laurel saw a globe, which felt perfect for the situation. "I just want to go home. I miss my Earth so much."

"Laurel, there's a very complicated process. It would take a few weeks at most to visit National City and gather alien particles from there, before filling the temporal zone. Not to mention the hassle of keeping the Waverider out." Sara began writing some notes in a notebook.

Laurel snatched the notebook away. "Just hurry up. You should have gotten Barry powers."

"That's not funny."

"I'm done."

Laurel stormed out of the brig, eager to get back to her Earth one way or another. Even if Sara thought it was hard, Laurel knew there had to be a way to return to Earth-2. There had to be a way to see her family again. The multiverse still had to exist, just locked. This had to be the truth.

"What was that all about?" Nate asked Sara, as she walked over to make herself a sandwich.

"I wanted to tell Laurel about my potential breakthrough. How capturing alien particles could be the key to reopening the universe…"

"And getting her family back?" Nate interrupted.

"Exactly. I haven't seen my mom in ages and I know my dad's alive, but Laurel doesn't have such a happy ending. I want her to see her sister again."

"Sara, we don't have any alien particles. Well, unless we get Ava back from space soon."

"That's it!" Sara ran out of the galley, and headed back for the brig.

"Gideon, can you take us to space?" Sara asked.

"Captain Lance, you will have to be more specific." Gideon said,

"Land us on Mars," Sara demanded.

"Yes, Captain Lance," Gideon said. "But I must warn you, the Waverider is not used to such excursions. Such landings could bring along plenty of temporal zone residue."

"I know what I'm doing, Gideon."

"Where even are the rest of the Legends?" Laurel sighed as she stepped into the library, only to see Zari was there.

"Oh hey, you're Sara's sister, aren't you?" Zari asked.

"Yes, yes I am," Laurel said. "But mind telling me where everyone is?"

"Astra's helping John move into his house, though I'd rather he was asking me too. Ava is in space, as you know. Behrad's visiting our present for old times sake. And Mick's got his daughter,"

"How much do you know about hacking?"

"The warrior me inside my totem is an expert at it so I can be too."

"I'll take that as a good sign…"

The Waverider began to shake, before coming in for a landing.

"Gidget? Gidget, where are we?" Zari asked.

"We are on the planet Mars, Ms. Tarazi," Gideon replied.

"Mars? That's lame. Thanks for nothing!" Laurel sonic screamed a wall of the Waverider off.

"I thought you didn't...," Zari said, confused.

"Doesn't matter. No matter what, I'm going home." She took off, running through the red field, and tripped on something. Hours later, Laurel realized it was a dead White Martian, and Zari was nowhere to be seen. Taking the creature's head off, she cut a hole in the neck, and then screamed out all the internal organs. For the finishing touch, she put the White Martian head on herself. It was then that Laurel looked at her hand. It was a strange green color, similar to the residue currently emitting from the Waverider. Touching the Waverider door, she was suddenly jerked forward. Unbeknownst to Laurel, Sara believed her to still be on the ship, and was taking off, having found Ava was not there. As she struggled to get up, Laurel saw the Waverider begin to get higher and higher in the skies. She jumped into the only place accessible: the jumpship. Unfortunately for Laurel, being cramped in a small space wearing an alien head wasn't her style. Pushing the door of the jumpship open, she realized the Waverder had returned to the Temporal Zone. Laurel attempted to shrivel the White Martian head to pass the time, but a massive timequake rocked the ship. The jumpship was dislodged, with its top still missing. The white Martian pieces fell from Laurel's hands, beginning to envelop the Waverider in a vortex. Laurel attempted to sonic scream as a means of calling for Sara's help, but fell out of the jumpship. As everything went dark for Laurel, the last thing she caught sight of was some debris falling out of the far-off timeship.
