Hearing the sound of voices on the stairs Caitlin looked up from where she currently sat in Sherlock's chair. Watching as the door banged open she took a sip of tea before asking,
"So another one solv-what on earth are you wearing?"
Grabbing the offending hat from his head Sherlock tossed it on his desk before storming back to his bedroom. Watching as John took off a hat as well, Caitlin raised a curious eyebrow.
"Should I even ask?"
Chuckling as John tossed his hat onto the sofa he replied,
"Case solved, but the press were waiting. It was a poor attempt at a disguise."
Chuckling lightly Caitlin continued to sip at her tea, deciding to leave Sherlock alone for the moment.
"Kettle is still hot John if you want a cupppa."
Smiling gratefully John headed to the kitchen for a much needed cup of tea.

Hours later Caitlin journeyed back to the bedroom from which Sherlock had yet to emerge from. Finding him propped up in bed with his eyes closed, hands folded across his abdomen and legs elegantly crossed he could almost be mistaken for being asleep. But Caitlin knew better. Sitting on the opposite side at the foot of the bed Caitlin lightly ran her hand over Sherlock's shin.
"You ok?"
The softly asked question broke the silence and Sherlock cracked one eye open to look at his girlfriend with something almost akin to a small pout.
"I despise the press. I can't very well be a private detective if photographers show up at every investigation."
Closing his eye once more Sherlock lapsed back into silence. Rubbing his leg once more Caitlin stood and started to head towards the door.
"Why don't you have a bath, try to relax. I'll make something for dinner."
Sherlock was about to respond eyes opening when he saw Caitlin had already slipped out. Huffing he climbed off the bed before ruffling his hair slightly. He'd have a bath. But only because he wanted to. Not because it was suggested. Opening the door to the bathroom Sherlock turned the tap on before exiting to grab some clean clothes. Once he was back in the bathroom he started to disrobe, the small clinking sounds Caitlin was making in the kitchen the only other noise in the flat. When the bath was finally ready he climbed in and set about trying to "relax."
–
A few days later Caitlin awoke to the sounds of clinking and shuffling coming from the kitchen. She almost started to panic when Sherlock's voice heavy with sleep grumbled from beside her.
"It's only Mrs. Hudson. Probably throwing out half my experiments. AGAIN."
Hearing a surprised and somewhat disgusted "Ooo!" from outside the door that she definitely recognized as the aforementioned landlady's, Caitlin relaxed once more a small giggle leaving her. Turning over to face Sherlock she smiled softly at him as his striking but sleepy eyes met hers.
"Good morning Mr. Holmes."
A small grumble sounded but Sherlock's grin gave him away. Caitlin placed a hand on his cheek and leaned in to place a soft kiss on his lips, when a louder commotion sounded from the kitchen. Sherlock's eyes popped all the way open and he sat up quickly when bot he and Caitlin heard Mrs. Hudson yell,
"Boys! You've got another one!"
Sherlock was out of bed and getting dressed before Caitlin could even move. Turning onto her back she watched him run a brush through his curls and pull his shoes on. Only then did he seem to remember that he left his girlfriend in bed. Turning to find Caitlin watching him Sherlock walked to her side before sitting on the edge of her bed.
"Sorry to cut our morning short-"
Pushing herself up on her elbows Caitlin leaned forward and gave Sherlock a loving kiss.
"Go on Sherlock Holmes. The game is on."
Grinning at Caitlin as she fell back into the pillows and made herself comfortable Sherlock stood and grabbed his blazer. Seeing Caitlin give him a sleepy wave as he opened the door he shot her a wink before stepping out and closing the door behind him.

Much later after the detective had returned to his girlfriend and his bed for a few hours, Sherlock had climbed out of bed and wrapped the bedsheet around himself while Caitlin had gone into the bathroom for a shower. As she lathered her hair with shampoo she could hear talking from the living room. After rinsing her hair and using her favorite bodywash, Caitlin turned off the water and wrapped herself in a towel. She could now hear through the door more clearly that Sherlock was talking to John, though he sounded...off.
"-There's no point in me leaving the flat for anything less than a seven. We agreed. Now, go back. Show me the grass."
Ahhh...it was a Skype call. Huffing a laugh Caitlin could only shake her head as she headed back into the bedroom. Only Sherlock Holmes. As Caitlin began to get dressed for the day she heard the door bell ringing which was immediately followed by a shout of "SHUT UP!" from Sherlock. Once dressed Caitlin brushed out her hair before she started to dry it. She could still slightly hear voices coming from the living room over the sound of her hair dryer when the bedroom door opened suddenly and a tall man in a suit walked in. Jumping Caitlin dropped the hair dryer and backed up, slight fear in her eyes. But when all he did was grab Sherlock's clothes and leave a confused look appeared on her face. Turning the dryer off and setting it down, Caitlin stuck her head out the door and called out.
"Sherlock?"
Hearing him reply "it's alright," Caitlin smoothed her hair back into a ponytail and slipped some flats on before heading to the living room. Hearing an unfamiliar voice tell Sherlock he would want to be dressed for where they were going Caitlin loitered in the kitchen doorway. She immediately could tell by his expression that Sherlock was deducing the two men in front of him. He looked toward Caitlin and made a small head movement for her to join him before smirking back at the two men. As Caitlin hesitantly made her way to stand next to Sherlock she saw him smirk before replying.
"Oh I know exactly where I'm going."
