Barry yelled at Joe, "No, listen to me! You realize how much Thawn has caused so much suffering? I have to let him die to save us."
Joe replied, "You're becoming like Oliver Queen."
Barry scoffed. "Look, Joe, Oliver wasn't a saint, and I may not have completely agreed with his methods, but sometimes it's necessary to cross a line. You were a cop for thirty years; you of all people should know that sometimes you have to cross a line when it comes to protecting others."
Joe replied, "I just don't want you to lose your soul."
Barry responded, "I won't, but I can't let that bastard hurt anyone else. I'm letting him get erased so he'll never cause any more pain."
He walked away. Joe and Iris looked at each other, knowing Barry was right.

Okay, so I haven't seen much of the Arrowverse since mid-2019. I lost interest; it started to go downhill. I could see "The Flash" decline during Season 5 and "Arrow" halfway through Season 6. I liked the first two seasons of "Legends of Tomorrow," but it went downhill for me halfway through Season 3 supergirl was okag . . It's sad to see how far they fell because those were some of my favorite TV shows when I was a teenager in the mid to late 2010s.
Now, why I wrote this story: I got annoyed when Joe yells at Barry for not wanting to save Thawn, even after all the pain he caused them. Joe was a cop for decades; he should know better than anyone that sometimes you have to make tough choices to protect others.
Regarding the part about Oliver, let me make it clear—I'm not bashing the character, but he had flaws. I'm sick of certain fanfiction writers (who I'm not going to name) acting like Oliver is a saint that can do no wrong and bashing anyone who so much disagreee with him.
So yeah, until next time!
