The Riders (NPCs)
SSX Rebirth (Base Game/Chapter 1)
-Much like SSX 3, players can race/trick as any of the original cast of characters provided.
-Riders show up randomly as more of 'Big Mountain' is rediscovered and mapped.
-Different Cutscenes are available for every character, as well as interactions between other riders at events or Lodges.
-All characters have aged up about a decade.

SSX 'Newbie' (Expansion/Chapter 2)
-At the start of the 'Newbie' chapter/expansion the player's custom created character starts their journey with 10 other 'newbie' NPCs. Six of which will never be available to converse with as they'll be eliminated during the opening mission having come last place in their general events (scripted eliminations).
-These 6 meaningless racers are:
Eliminated in Race: Frank, Tom, & Karen
Eliminated in Slopestyle (Tricks): Bill, Sarah, & Evan
-The remaining four NPCs who survive the initiation events/story missions (scripted), become the PCs rivals and potential romance options depending on friendship stats (see chapter 4).
Maya Age-18 Race Rival Adventurous Type
Felix Age-19 Race Rival Chill Heartthrob Type
Sky Age-18 Trick Rival Serious Type
Gunther Age-20 Trick Rival Psycho Type
The above four NPCs personality types have been chosen to reflect the attitudes of the main/senior cast of characters. Assuming computer players are allowed to make MODs, desired dating scenes could be replaced by similar type NPCs. For example: The character skin of 'Gunther' could be replaced by 'Eddie' or 'Psymon' and dialogue options/cutscenes would still make sense.
