SSX 'Newbie' Chapter 2/Extension

Player Rank System

-Similar to the SSX 3 system, PC stats are bought over time in the lodge or given after events/missions. Although the 'Newbie' extension is story driven, overzealous players can build stats however they choose regardless of the story progression. However, stats have pros and cons attached to them. Therefore, even in early story mode, without the best items or boards maxed stats do not create perfect PCs. In fact, high race stats will negatively impact showoff events and vice versa.

-All PCs starting have a nickname at the beginning of the game. The chapter is called 'Newbie'; thus, players start as Newbie. During gameplay, events, freeride, and lodge activities NPCs will communicate by calling the PC by their nickname(s). Nicknames get better as stats rise, allowing the player to feel more respected by NPCs during solo gameplay.

Nicknames by Stat Percentage

0% to 15% - Newbie/Noob

16% to 32% - Rookie/Kid

33% to 49% - Contender/Snow Bum

50% to 64% - Natural/Goofy

65% to 79% - Champ/Shredder

80% to 95% - Rider/Bro/Sis/ (Superstar - PVP only)

(In PVP matches, players can see stat nicknames to help balance online matches.)

Although all NPCs will use nicknames based on the stat table, many NPCs will have unique personal nicknames based on their relationship with the player.

Please Note: For NPCs whose first language isn't English, many of the words below and above will be spoken in their native language. Including but not limited to Japanese, French, Spanish, & Canadian.
