The next day started like any other at the Mid-Wilshire police station. Officers were going about their business, paperwork was being shuffled, and the usual banter filled the air. Tim and Lucy had arrived together, the tension from the previous night still lingering between them, but they were determined to push through it and focus on their work.

However, unbeknownst to them, a storm was brewing just outside the station's doors.

Ashley, still reeling from the events at Tim's apartment, had spent the night in a whirlwind of anger and hurt. She couldn't shake the image of Tim and Lucy together, couldn't erase the words Tim had said in defense of Lucy. Desperate for some sense of control, she did something she knew she might regret—she called Chris.

When Chris answered, Ashley didn't hold back. The anger in her voice was palpable as she recounted what she had seen and heard. "You should know, Chris. Lucy's been staying with Tim. And guess what? She's pregnant. He claims it isn't his, but come on, what do you think?"

Chris, already heartbroken and feeling betrayed by Lucy's pregnancy, didn't take the news well. His emotions, already raw from their breakup, exploded into a mixture of fury and pain. Without thinking, he grabbed his keys and headed straight for the police station. He needed answers, and he was going to get them—no matter the cost.

Meanwhile, back at the station, Lucy was trying to focus on the report she was writing, but her mind kept drifting to the events of the past few days. The uncertainty of her future weighed heavily on her, and she felt an overwhelming sense of guilt for how things had unraveled.

Tim, seated across from her, could sense her distress. He gave her a reassuring look, but before he could say anything, the doors to the precinct flew open with a loud bang. Everyone in the room turned to see Chris storming in, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Lucy!" Chris's voice boomed across the room, silencing all conversations and drawing everyone's attention. "Where the hell is Lucy Chen?"

Lucy's heart dropped. She stood up slowly, her hands trembling. "Chris, what are you doing here?"

Chris marched across the room, ignoring the stares of the officers and detectives around him. When he reached Lucy, he barely gave her a chance to speak. "You didn't think I'd find out, did you? You didn't think I'd hear that you're shacking up with Tim?"

Lucy's eyes widened in shock. "What? Chris, that's not true!"

But Chris wasn't listening. He turned his furious gaze on Tim, who had also stood up, his expression a mix of surprise and anger. "And you, Bradford. You think you can just steal my girlfriend and knock her up? You think I wouldn't find out?"

The entire precinct was now watching, the tension thick in the air. Nolan's mouth dropped open in shock, his eyes darting between Chris, Lucy, and Tim, trying to make sense of what was happening.

Lopez and Harper exchanged a look, and Harper let out a low whistle. "Well, it's about time," she muttered under her breath, amused despite the chaos.

Lopez raised an eyebrow. "Didn't see this coming. But it's not like we didn't all suspect something."

Tim took a step forward, his voice low and controlled. "Chris, you need to calm down. This isn't what you think. Lucy's been going through a lot, and I was just trying to help her."

"Help her?" Chris sneered. "Is that what you call it? Helping her by getting her pregnant?"

Lucy felt tears welling up in her eyes, the humiliation of the public confrontation almost too much to bear. "Chris, please, listen to me. The baby isn't Tim's. I told you the truth, and you didn't believe me."

Before Chris could respond, Sgt. Wade entered the room, his expression darkening as he took in the scene unfolding before him. "What the hell is going on here?" he demanded, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife.

Harper and Lopez quickly stepped back, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire. Nolan continued to watch, his shock slowly giving way to concern for his friends.

Chris turned to Sgt. Wade, his voice dripping with bitterness. "Ask them. Ask them why I had to find out like this. Why I had to come down here and confront them in front of everyone."

Wade's eyes narrowed as he looked at Tim and Lucy, but instead of the anger they expected, his voice was firm and protective. "That's enough, Chris," Wade said, stepping between Chris and the two officers. "This is a police precinct, not a place for personal drama. If you have an issue with how things were handled, you bring it to me—not in front of the entire station."

"But you don't understand," Chris started, but Wade cut him off with a sharp glare.

"I understand more than you think," Wade replied, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Bradford and Chen have been doing their jobs, and from what I've seen, they've been nothing but professional. Now, if you want to discuss this further, you do it outside. This ends here."

Chris clenched his fists, but the authority in Wade's voice made him hesitate. He looked at Lucy one last time, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and hurt. "This isn't over, Lucy. We'll talk later."

With that, he turned and stormed out of the station, leaving a heavy silence in his wake. The eyes of everyone in the room were still on Tim and Lucy, the tension still palpable.

Wade sighed, rubbing his temples. "Bradford, Chen, my office. Now."

As they followed Wade into his office, the weight of the situation settled over them both. The confrontation had left their reputations in tatters, and the fallout was only just beginning. But even as they walked through the door, Lucy felt a small sense of relief—at least the truth was out there now, no more secrets, no more hiding.

Once inside the office, Wade closed the door behind them and turned to face them, his expression stern. "What the hell were you two thinking?" he demanded, his voice rising with each word. "Do you have any idea how this looks? How much damage this could do to your careers?"

Lucy flinched at the harshness in his tone, the stress and exhaustion of the past few days catching up with her. Tim opened his mouth to explain, but Wade wasn't finished. "I don't care what your intentions were, this kind of thing has to be handled carefully. The last thing we need is more gossip and rumors spreading around the precinct."

"We didn't mean for this to happen," Tim tried to say, but Wade cut him off again.

"Then why didn't you come to me sooner?" Wade continued, his frustration evident. "You should have known that this would blow up in your faces. You're supposed to be professionals—act like it!"

As Wade's voice grew louder, Lucy felt her head spinning. The stress, the emotions, the constant pressure—it was all too much. She tried to focus on what Wade was saying, but her vision began to blur, and she felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. Her stomach churned violently, and she knew immediately that she was about to be sick.

"Tim…" Lucy managed to whisper, her voice weak as she clutched her stomach.

But before anyone could react, Lucy's knees buckled, and she collapsed to the floor, fainting right in front of them.

"Lucy!" Tim shouted, rushing to her side, his heart pounding in his chest.

Wade's anger immediately turned to concern as he moved to help. "Get a medic in here!" he barked, his voice filled with urgency.

Tim gently lifted Lucy's head, checking her pulse, trying to keep calm despite the panic rising within him. "Lucy, come on, wake up," he whispered, his voice shaking.

The door to Wade's office flew open as a couple of officers rushed in with a medic in tow. They quickly moved to assess Lucy, who was still unconscious on the floor.

Wade stepped back, his face a mask of worry. "Bradford, what's going on? Why did she faint?"

Tim shook his head, his mind racing. "She's been under a lot of stress. She's pregnant, Sarge, and this whole situation with Chris…it's been too much for her."

Wade's expression softened, the gravity of the situation sinking in. "Damn it," he muttered under his breath, guilt washing over him for how he had handled the situation.

The medic worked quickly, checking Lucy's vitals and gently trying to wake her. After a few tense moments, Lucy began to stir, her eyes fluttering open.

"Lucy, can you hear me?" the medic asked, his voice calm and steady.

Lucy blinked, her vision slowly coming back into focus. She looked up at Tim, who was hovering over her, his face etched with concern. But as soon as she regained consciousness, the nausea hit her like a freight train. She felt her stomach lurch, and she knew she wasn't going to be able to hold it back.

"Tim, I'm going to be sick," Lucy gasped, trying to sit up as the wave of nausea overwhelmed her.

Tim quickly grabbed a nearby wastebasket and held it for her just in time. Lucy retched violently, her body shaking with the effort as she emptied her stomach.
