"Mm, what smells so good?" Tikki asked Marinette as they hung out in the kitchen. "Cookie batter," Marinette explained. "I'm making cookies because I miss Adrien."
Adrien, Marinette's boyfriend, was away in London for the weekend, visiting relatives. Sure, it wasn't the best idea to go running off to London when she was Ladybug, but even her partner Cat Noir was thereā¦..and here she was stuck at home.
Tikki cocked her head suspiciously. "And how do you plan to make a cookie that looks like Adrien?" "With this!" Marinette whipped out a especially designed cookie cutter like looked like a blonde haired model. "Where did you get that?" Tikki asked. "I made it custom on Esty," Marinette grinned and blushed. "I would have ordered a Plagg, but you know, Kwamis are secret."
"I do miss Plagg," Tikki confessed, sighing. "But I don't miss the late night cheese runs." Marinette looked up. "Just don't take a advantage of Leo. He's sweet to give you cookies and Plagg free samples." Leo, of Leo's Cheese Store was a kind man, both friends with Marinette and Adrien.
"Tikki, look!" Marinette held up a cookie dough Adrien. "He's about to get even more hot!" Marinette slid the pan into the oven and joined Nikki at the table. "Cookies or no cookies, time for homework."
When the timer dinged, Marinette leaped up, taking the tray out of the oven and on to the cooling rack. Marinette breathed the smell of chocolate deeply. "Radiant. Carefree. Dreamy. Adrien, the Cookie." She burst into giggles.
"Don't tell me your going to decorate him?" Tikki groaned. "Yep! Soon as they cool."
Oh, well, Tikki thought. Its a good distraction and a good stress reliever. Plus, she would like a cookie too.
"Here's to Adrien because I miss him," Marinette tapped her cookie against her Kwami's, biting into the warm cookie.
Though she wished Adrien was here to share it with her, this was the next best thing not knowing Adrien was attempting the same thing thousand of miles away.
