Adrien sighed as he picked leaves off his head. He and Ladybug had been on patrol when a sudden downpour had taken place, and Cat had gotten a shower of leaves. A small pile was growing as Adrien plucked, and he jumped as he caught sight of someone in the window, or more accurately on a rooftop.
"Ladybug!" Adrien called, knowing his partner could hear him. She didn't often venture this way on her way home, whenever home was, and Ladybug turned, waved, and zipped into Adrien's bedroom.
"Hey, nice to see you," Ladybug panted, trying to catch her breath. Adrien looked at her concerned. "You okay?" "Oh, yeah, the rain just caught Cat and I off guard." Adrien noticed Ladybug's hair resembled wet ropes and she was standing in a small puddle. "Come here, Little Bug," he took her hand and even through her suit glove, her hand was cold. "Go under the hot spray and get warm," he told her gently and firmly. "I'll find some clothes in the meantime."
"Okay."
When Ladybug came out, she looked better and Adrien handed her a sweatshirt which she put on. "Thanks, your such a good friend," she surprised him with a hug. Adrien caught her cheek in his soft palm. "I'm not about you getting sick." Ladybug's bluebell blues sparkled, and Adrien felt his heart thump. "You want to know a sure-fire to cure sickness?" Adrien nodded. "Cookies."
Adrien's mouth watered, he had tasted his partner's cookies before, and they were the best in Paris. "Chocolate chippie?" He asked, hopefully. Ladybug laughed, taking his hand. "Yes, chocolate chippie."
The rain was a bit louder in the kitchen, and Ladybug quickly made up a batch of cookies. "Are you a baker under that mask, Little Bug?" Ladybug froze, searching for a answer. "I just have a sweet tooth. Now, I want to show you something special. Lucky Charm!"
Two red and black small objects fell into her hands, and she handed one to Adrien. "Is this me?" he looked up after studying the small cut-out. "Yep. And I'm me."
"Oh, yeah, that trend on Tiktok!" Adrien grinned, and they begin to cut cookies out. Once the cookies were in the oven, and Adrien cleared his throat. "You want to dance, Ladybug?" "But where's the music?" "The raindrops." "Okay," she agreed shyly.
So, with the warm smell of cookies hanging in the air, they danced, glad to spend some time together. It was lonely at times for the couple, even with and without the mask.
But moments like these, dancing while a delicious snack baked, were memories they'd cherish for years to come.
