Hogwarts, Forbidden Forest

Severus was deep within the Forbidden Forest, his eyes focused on a small group of magical creatures in the distance. He found solace in these quiet moments, away from the prying eyes of Hogwarts, where he could observe and learn without interruption. The forest was alive with sounds—the rustling of leaves, the distant call of a unicorn—and Severus was completely absorbed in the scene before him.

Suddenly, a soft, lilting voice broke through his concentration. "Aren't they lovely? Thestrals are such misunderstood creatures."

Startled, Severus turned to find Pandora standing just a few feet away, her pale eyes wide with wonder as she gazed at the thestrals. She seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, her presence almost ethereal against the dark backdrop of the forest. Her expression was dreamy, her head slightly tilted as if she were listening to a melody only she could hear.

"Pandora," Severus said, his voice betraying a hint of surprise. "What are you doing here?"

She turned her gaze to him, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I like to come here sometimes to talk to the creatures. They have such fascinating stories, you know. If you listen closely, you can almost hear them."

Severus blinked, unsure of how to respond. Pandora was known for her peculiar ways, but there was something disarming about her calmness. It was as if she lived in a world slightly out of sync with everyone else's—a world where thestrals told stories and the wind whispered secrets.

"I see," he replied, though he wasn't entirely sure he did.

Pandora continued to watch the thestrals for a moment before turning back to Severus, her expression thoughtful. "You know, Severus, I've been thinking about something curious. Have you ever wondered what a kiss feels like when it's given without any expectations? Just...purely for the sake of sharing a moment."

Severus stared at her, his mind racing. Her question caught him off guard, especially in the middle of the Forbidden Forest. "A kiss?" he echoed, his voice a mix of confusion and intrigue.

Pandora nodded, her gaze unwavering. "Yes. I've always imagined it would feel like a soft breeze—gentle, unexpected, and gone before you realize it. Would you like to try it?"

Severus's initial reaction was shock. This wasn't something he had anticipated, especially not from Pandora, who seemed to float through life with an air of innocent detachment. But then he remembered the experiment—the one he had been conducting with others—and despite the oddity of the situation, he found himself nodding.

"Alright," he agreed, his voice a little more uncertain than he'd have liked.

Severus's mind was still reeling from Pandora's unexpected request when she leaned in, her lips brushing against his in the softest of pecks. It was so brief, so delicate, that it almost felt like it hadn't happened at all. Severus barely had time to register the kiss before Pandora pulled back, her eyes wide and her expression unreadable.

For a moment, he thought she was going to say something, maybe explain her sudden change in behavior, but before he could even ask what was wrong, Pandora moved forward again. This time, the kiss was anything but fleeting.

Her lips met his in a frenzied burst of energy, as if something inside her had snapped. There was a wildness to her kiss now, an intensity that caught Severus completely off guard. He stood frozen, his mind struggling to catch up with the sudden shift. Her hands found their way to the back of his neck, gripping him as if to anchor herself in the moment.

Severus, for all his usual composure, couldn't help but feel a wave of shock wash over him. His initial reaction was to pull away, but the unexpected passion in Pandora's kiss held him in place. He found himself responding, if only a little, the corners of his mouth twitching into a small, bewildered smile.

Pandora's kiss was full of desperate energy, her movements uncoordinated and a little frantic, as if she was trying to pour all her emotions into that one moment. It was a stark contrast to the gentle peck she had given him seconds before, and it left Severus completely unprepared.

Finally, when the need for air became too much, Pandora broke the kiss, panting slightly as she looked up at him. Her eyes were bright, a mix of confusion, excitement, and something else Severus couldn't quite place.

He remained silent, his mind still spinning from the whirlwind of events. It took him a moment to find his voice. "Pandora..."

But she just smiled, a little breathless, and shook her head as if to say that no words were necessary. "Thank you," she whispered, as if that explained everything.

And with that, she was gone, leaving Severus standing alone in the forest, his lips still tingling from the unexpected fervor of her kiss.

Hogwarts, Forbidden Forest

Pandora floated back through the Forbidden Forest, her steps light as if she were walking on air. The kiss with Severus lingered on her lips, a warm, tingling sensation that she couldn't quite shake. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced—impulsive, intense, and utterly bewildering in the best way possible.

She found herself humming a soft tune as she wandered, her thoughts a pleasant jumble of emotions. The forest seemed to hum along with her, the leaves rustling in rhythm to her melody. The creatures she had spoken to earlier seemed to watch her with curious eyes, as if they too could sense the change in her.

Pandora paused by a small clearing, her fingers lightly touching her lips as she replayed the kiss in her mind. There was a dreamy smile on her face, and she couldn't help but giggle softly to herself. "That was... different," she mused aloud, her voice barely more than a whisper.

The kiss had started as a simple curiosity, a fleeting thought she had decided to act on. But as soon as their lips had met, something within her had sparked—an inexplicable need to kiss him again, to feel more. She hadn't expected that rush of emotion, that sudden urgency. It was like a wild wind had swept through her, leaving her a little breathless and a lot more confused.

"Why did I do that?" she wondered, tilting her head as if asking the question to the forest itself. The trees, of course, didn't answer, but the soft breeze that brushed against her cheeks felt almost like an understanding touch.

Pandora sat down on a nearby log, her legs suddenly feeling a bit wobbly. She knew she was different, always had been, but this—this was new. The logical part of her mind tried to analyze it, to make sense of the sudden burst of passion she had shown. But another part of her, the part that believed in the unseen and the unexplainable, simply accepted it for what it was—a moment of connection that defied logic.

As she sat there, lost in thought, she couldn't help but wonder what Severus was thinking. Had he been as surprised as she was? Did he feel the same strange thrill, that inexplicable need? Or was he merely humoring her, treating it as part of his experiment?

Her smile softened as she thought of Severus. He was always so serious, so composed, but for a brief moment, she had seen something else—a hint of surprise, a flicker of something deeper. It made her heart flutter just a little.

"Oh, Severus...I'm the stars and you're the moon...What would we be without each other?"
