(Prompts 5 and 6 were short drabbles on the forum that will be posted in a compilation chapter later. I decided after the fact that this one was long enough to be an individual post.)

Prompt: Give a "bad guy's" perspective, whether Jadis, Miraz, or someone else. Are bad guys "bad" through their own eyes?

"The breaking of an oath is a fearsome thing, my queen, and will have fearsome consequences."

"Think you that I do not know this, hierophant? My younger sister has ever been jealous, and I will not surrender to her."

"It is whispered that she has gained the knowledge of—"

"Even she is not so foolish as to use it. For what shall it profit a woman to gain the whole world if there is no world left for her to rule? No, hierophant. The crown is mine by right, by birth, and by conquest. I will not yield it to any, and if that requires the breaking of my oath, then I shall break it gladly."

Queen Cynax cast the spell to strengthen her soldiers' blows—and in so doing, doomed all of Charn.

(I'm of the opinion that Jadis's sister was also a jerkface—just not enough of a jerkface to, you know, murder the entire world out of spite.)
