In moments that shall remain forever in Jameson Reagan's heart, Jamie and Kara were able to revel in their short time as a family of three together this side of Heaven. The nurse took a photo of Jamie, Kara, and their daughter, still unnamed at the time.

"Chelsea," Kara said.

"What?" Jamie said.

"I want her to be named Chelsea," she said. "Chelsea Reagan."

"Chelsea Reagan," Jamie said as he looked down at his newborn daughter. "I love it."

After Kara had passed away, there was still the issue of officially entering Chelsea's name on her birth certificate.

Jamie paused for a moment, eyes red and puffy from sobbing.

"Chelsea Kara Reagan," he told the nurse.

At the memorial service for Kara, taking a page from Michael, Eddie made sure as many people from the 1-2 could make it to support Jamie in his time of need as possible.

At the reception, Danny sought out Eddie.

"I hear you wrangled a lot of these guys and gals out here," Danny said.

"As many as Renzulli could spare," Eddie said, trying to play it down.

Danny smiled, giving her a knowing nod. He glanced to see Jamie thanking the attendees.

"I hoped to God he wouldn't go through what I did," Danny muttered.

Eddie nodded.

"It's definitely going to hit him when he gets home," Eddie said, flashbacks of Barry's memorial service playing in her mind.

"Yep," was all Danny could say, memories of Linda's memorial service playing in his mind.

A beat passed.

"Listen, Eddie…" Danny began. "I need to tell you something very similar to what I told Jamie and Kara at your husband's service. It's going to sound harsh, but you need to hear it, okay?"

"O… kay?"

Danny sighed.

"What Jamie has gone through is tragic, no doubt about it," Danny explained. "But he went through it. It is his grieving process. You can't work it for him, I can't, my father can't, no one except him. You're still grieving the loss of your husband yourself. Focus on that."

Eddie eyed Jamie's older brother.

"Out of curiosity," she asked, "what did you tell Jamie and Kara?"

"That they needed to go back to their honeymoon asap," he said. "If they really wanted to help you, you needed to learn that there was still goodness in the world and good things can happen at the exact same time bad things happen. As for you, you're farther along in the process and Jamie needs to realize that, while not perfect, there is hope and there is progress to be made in grieving."

Eddie cracked a smile.

"Good advice," she said.

"Don't do his grieving for him," Danny reiterated. "Help him when he needs it. But he's got to do the heavy lifting on his own."

And with that, Danny turned to be with his little brother…

With the next five months came a hurricane of contradictory emotions. Grief and anguish at the loss of a wife who would never get to see her baby, but love and joy at seeing new life enter a world.

"Oh, you're getting so big and beautiful every day" Jamie cooed.

Baby Chelsea just stared, fascinated at her daddy's words, smiling.

Jamie heard a soft wrap of knuckles at the door.

"Oh, who is that?" Jamie asked, already knowing.

He opened the door, showing Eddie.

"Oh my goodness, it's Aunt Eddie!" he exclaimed.

"Give me this sweet girl!" Eddie said, reaching out her arms. "Hello, precious."

"Of course, this is who you really came to see," Jamie joked with a roll of his eyes.

"You know it!" Eddie tossed out with a wink.

As Eddie held Chelsea and swayed from side-to-side, Jamie smiled.

"What?" Eddie asked.

"You look good with a baby in your arms," he quipped.

Eddie blushed.

"Thanks."

A beat passed between them. Much as Eddie knew that Jamie appreciated her help, she knew she was no substitute for the one he really wanted.

"I miss her, too," Eddie said, verbalizing what they were both thinking. "Seems like it was only yesterday we were talking about how we were going to marry our secret Hollywood boyfriends… Until we wised-up and married our real husbands, of course."

"Oh really?" Jamie said, smiling. "Who was yours, again? I forget."

"Leonardo DiCaprio, of course!" Eddie teased. "Don't act like you don't know this!"

Jamie rolled his eyes.

"Well, at least your fake boyfriend had talent. Kara was into some loser named Will Estes."

"Oh, come on!" Eddie said, holding Chelsea on her side. "Will Estes was amazing as JJ in 'American Dreams'!"

"Is Daddy jealous of a tall, handsome man?" she asked her niece. "I think he is, don't you?"

"No," Jamie answered, "Daddy isn't jealous of a man who sounds like he's always just cleared his throat."

Eddie smiled and shook her head.

"Unbelievable."

"Yeah yeah yeah," he said with a wave of his hand.

*Bing Bing Bing Bing*

Jamie looked at his watch.

"Crud, I got to go," he said. "Thank you for watching her on such short notice, I really appreciate it. I left some money on the table, order whatever you want. Formula is in – "

"I know where everything is, Jamie," Eddie assured him, then looking at Chelsea. "Can you tell your daddy to relax, huh? Can you?"

Jamie sighed and kissed Chelsea on the top of her head.

"Daddy loves you," he said.

He looked at Eddie.

"Thanks again," he said.

"No problem," Eddie assured him. "Now, get!"

As Jamie walked out towards his car, he looked back up to his window and saw Eddie holding Chelsea and waving her little hand "Bye bye!"

Jamie smiled and waved back.

As he turned to finish walking to the car, he was conflicted. It felt right that Eddie was holding his child. But it still felt wrong.

Oh, the tangled web that grief can weave.
