Costumes

"Alright everybody, listen up," Herrmann told everybody in the common room, "this Halloween we're having a costume contest at Molly's, the winner gets free drinks for a month."

"Sounds good," Capp said.

"Yeah, and I expect to see everybody down there participating," Herrmann said.

"Are you kidding?" Casey asked.

"Nope, and Otis and I figured out a plan to make it even more brilliant," Herrmann said.

"This should be good," Sylvie murmured under her breath.

"Everybody write down everybody else's names," Otis said as he handed them each a small notebook and pen, "and then write down one costume you think would be a good fit to each person. Then we're going to put them in a helmet and draw them out."

"So it's like Secret Santa?" Capp inquired.

"Not exactly, everybody gets a costume picked for them by someone else," Otis explained.

"No offense, but it sounds kind of stupid to me," Casey said.

"Sure, now," Otis replied, "just wait until you try picturing what everybody else should be."

"That idea does have some potential to it," Mouch commented from his spot on the couch.

"These suggestions are not binding," Casey told Severide after shift, "I'm not doing it."

"Oh come on, Casey," Kelly said with a small chuckle.

"I am not coming to Molly's dressed up like Darth Vader."

"It'd be a good look for you."

Matt elbowed Severide in response.

"And were you the idiot who wrote the one for Capp?" he asked.

The dark haired lieutenant merely replied, "Nope."

"Why would anybody look at Capp and write down Pippi Longstocking?" Casey wanted to know.

"You know he'll do it," Severide responded with a small laugh.

Casey nodded grimly. "I know."

"Hey, uh," Kelly leaned over towards him, "did you write the one for Brett?"

"No," Casey shook his head, "do you think..."

Kelly folded his arms against his chest and remarked, "I wouldn't mind seeing her as Catwoman."

Matt threw his head back laughing.
