October 3rd, 2026 - 05:14:00, Moscow, Russia, thanks to Task Force 141's op in St. Petersburg, The Russian People are furious with The Kremlin for allowing World War 3 to touch their soil and failing to alert them as soon as possible. As early as 4:00 AM, they gathered and filled every road and alleyway in preparation for simultaneous protests in front of every military and government institution upon opening hours (09:30, to be specific).

What they want is to let the Russian Government know that they are fully aware of the national security failure. After that, they will demand them to assure the nation that something like the 141 incursion will not happen again.

Lastly, they will call for a military operation against the West so destructive that the only Caucasian superpower left standing on Earth will be their very own Mother Russia, which they will reorganize into a newer and stronger Soviet Union once Western Civilization is out of the way. All of these facts were quietly and carefully but easily gathered by Task Force Rogue throughout their covert embedment in the Russian capital after hitting the C.I.A. and Afghanistan directly.

With the fate of the free world hanging in the balance because The Kremlin will be concurrently pressured and convinced to use their nuclear arsenal, the United States of America, Canada and Australia authorize Operation Western Retribution. The mission of their best, last hope is to raid The Kremlin, a no-brainer, the Lubyanka Building, which is the F.S.B. HQ itself, and Grizodubovoy Street 3, GRU's home base, hoping to learn more about Makarov and the Ultranationalist Inner Circle from where they came from.

Nomad: All this talk about the world being on the brink, and Laswell and Task Force 141 have their priorities in the wrong place.

Chaos: For now.

Nomad: If they take Ivan's last words to heart, maybe. Either way, they don't matter at the moment because POTUS... has just authorized Operation Western Retribution!

[Task Force Rogue Operators cheer and clap]

Nomad: Apart from seizing the Black Box (nuclear weapon briefcase of the Russian Federation) and the locations of every single ICBM silo they have, we are also tasked to clean out The Kremlin, F.S.B. and GRU's data caches. We'll be exposing the two European big bad wolves that are Russian military intelligence and Russian government intelligence, lady and gentlemen. Bring out and unleash the best versions of yourselves.

Frost: Always.

Chemo: Physical and digital? Everything?

Nomad: Everything.

Bishop: *whistles* Talk about keeping Australia, America and Canada safe from afar.

Chemo: Good thing we brought our rucksacks.

Helen: I wouldn't assume that they'll be enough. I'll get us some sports bags from the mall.

Chemo: Hmm. Yeah, you could be right. I'll go with you.

Graves: So will I.

Blizzard: Rules of Engagement?

Nomad: For Task Force 141, Chaos?

Chaos: If they show up, disorient and force a retreat only. Do NOT kill them. I'm sure Roach and our other British friends wouldn't want that. Even if they are acting like elitist scum.

Nomad: Understood. As for everyone else inside the target buildings, no quarter. Once it's opening hours, they'll be under lockdown because of the upcoming riots. So, any and all civilians will be safe and away from us when we don't need the crowding to mask our movements anymore. Direct fire is all part of these times. We are in a World War with Russia already. Aside from hitting the military intelligence side of Russia, GRU HQ might have some redacted intel that's gonna tell us more about Makarov, his inner circle, and what makes them tick.

Blizzard: Good call. I sure as hell don't trust a three letter agency's word for shit.

Jackson: Does anyone ever do?

Nomad: Speaking of the three letter agencies, Operation Western Retribution is also an internal special op. Not even a tiny piece of our governments are aware of this, let alone with us today. Everything we take and deliver will go straight to the secured databases of our respective special operations commands. Trump's idea.

Blizzard: Just like JFK (late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy). Smart move, Mr. President.

Jackson: Thank you, God, President Donald Trump.

Frost: They are watching out for us, are they? Oh, almost forgot. What if the rioters manage to break in and start wrecking shit up?

Nomad: In that case, enough reading even for a bit, speed up in grabbing everything, and only engage when you feel threatened.

Frost: Roger that. Thanks, man.

Nomad: Of course. And, uh, Phillip, Helen, as much as I hate putting pressure on people, you should know. If you do this, POTUS will give you ten billion, with a B, dollars for Shadow Company. You can rebuild.

Graves: Holy shit.

Helen: Jesus Christ, Mr. President.

Graves: Holy shit. Talk about bringing out our very best selves.

Helen: You can say that again. Alright. We'll get ready.

Chaos: And we'll all be here to help you get there. Stay frosty.

Nomad: Stay frosty, Task Force Rogue. If we succeed, World War 3 will truly end, Makarov won't last a week, and we will have Mother Russia and probably her allies too by the princess parts for generations. If we fail, we could be looking at a new Cold War against the superpower that'll usurp her. Any questions? Comments?

Helen: Before I get our extra bags, I have a little motivational speech for us if you wanna hear it.

Nomad: Well, time's still on our side, and everyone looks like they wanna listen in. Carry on.

Helen: Thank Dark Raiden from Mortal Kombat X for the inspiration of this one, boys. *clears throat* Too long have we allowed the West to endure the horrors of war and evil. Time and again, we've defeated and spared our international enemies. But we've exacted no retribution. Demanded no remuneration. What have we gained for our mercy? More intrigue? More senseless violence?! As the best, last hope of the West since our activation, no longer will we simply defend our home, our people. We will seek out and destroy all who threaten them. But this time, no mercy will be shown. No quarter given! We may not have the right to hurt the good and innocent just because they belong to a hostile nation, even if doing so will scar their government for life. But there are fates worse than death.

Yuri: My thoughts exactly, Commander Lennox.

Chaos: You sure, friend? You don't have to come with us.

Yuri: Victory cannot be achieved without sacrifice, Chaos. We Russians know this better than anyone. Besides, there are fates worse than death.

Nomad: There are fates worse than death.

Task Force Rogue: There are fates worse than death.

Chaos: Finally, everything changes... today.

Moscow, Russia

October 3rd, 2026 - 05:30:14

Less than 2 hours later, The Russian People's riots for their government's most recent epic fail are at full swing. With crowds, posters and signs all over The Kremlin, the Lubyanka Building and Grizodubovoy Street 3, Task Force Rogue's opportunity to infiltrate them all is wide open, waiting to be taken, and not going anywhere anytime soon.

As they work through the sea of protesters all the way to the front door with their civilian overcoats on, their headgear in one of their sports bags, and posters and signs in their hands.

[Russian Crowd chants and yells]

Overlord: Dark Matter Squadron, this is Overlord. Lady, gentlemen, this is the moment we've been working towards. The crown jewels of Russia's government, military and intelligence are up for grabs, and we're going after them.

[Dark Matter Squadron drops their signs, puts their headgear on, and removes their overcoats]

Chaos: Dark Matter 1 to Overlord, we can't wait. The protest cover worked, and we're about to make entry, over.

[C6 Breaching Charge detonation]

[Russian Crowd cheers and claps]

[MK20 SSR fire]

[MK12 SPR fire]

Helen: Clear left.

Chaos: Clear right. Advance.

Yuri: Leave no stone unturned, friends. There are a lot of places for classified information to hide.

The first stop of Task Force Rogue, which has been combined all together into Dark Matter Squadron, is The Kremlin. The resistance according to recon data is the alerted and numerous but ill-equipped F.S.O. (Federal'naya sluzhba okhrany Rossiyskoy Federatsii/Federal Protective Service of the Russian Federation) Presidential Security Service and Kremlin guards.

As the gentlemen ransack the first floor of the joint, Helen establishes security from the hallways and kills the last of the official Russian combatants on that level. 3 and a half minutes of finding, stealing and securing both physical and digital data like professional robbers and master thieves later, Dark Matter Squadron moves up to the second floor.

While the boys expect to have another twenty percent of their bags filled with whatever is up there, Dark Matter 3/Helen shoots at an interesting target of opportunity.

Graves: We got everything physical and digital over here, Helen. Feel free to move up to the second floor.

Helen: Copy. How many bags are filled?

Graves: About twenty percent. Twenty percent of our hard drives are also max capacity.

Helen: Copy. Might need more.

Helen: (off comms) Holy shit! (on comms) Dark Matter 3 to Overlord, Battle Captain and all Dark Matter victors, I have President Vladimir Putin and the Black Box in my sights. I say again, I have Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin in my sights. He's trying to either kill me or hold me off with the Black Box in his possession. Interrogative: What's our ROE for him, over?

Battle Captain: Oh, my God. That is a big find, Dark Matter 3. None of us could've expected him to be there. We all assumed he bolted before the riots started.

Helen: Well, we are after data and Russia's nuclear arsenal, not personnel. Easy to overlook.

Battle Captain: Okay, if you can, kill him. If you can't, it's fine. But we need the Black Box in our possession. And it would be nice to further solidify Wold War 3's end by killing the man who actually started it, over.

Helen: Understood, Overlord. Moving to secure the football at all costs. As for, uh, POTRF? I'll do what I can. Dark Matter 3, out.

[C7A2 fire]

[PMM fire]

Helen: Chemo, baby. What's up?

[F.S.O. Agent 2 painfully grunts]

Helen: Nice try. *pushes door open* Clear left. Right's clear. That's the gun. Where's its owner?

Chemo: *points at Rappelling Rope* He rappeled down.

[MK12 SPR fire]

Helen: Sorry, sir. Too slow.

[C7A2 fire]

Chemo: Helipad and chopper, clear. Damn, Helen, honey. You just made history.

Helen: We both did. And don't celebrate just yet. We better confirm it with Overlord first.

Chemo: Right. Decoys.

Even though Helen may have killed President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation himself, the priority of Operation Western Retribution has not changed. Once at the presidential helipad after cleaning all of The Kremlin out, Dark Matter 3 sends pictures of the blood and face of the limbless and literally heartbroken President Putin to Overlord for confirmation of identity.

While the rest secure Russia's nuclear football.

[GSh-18 Tactical fire]

[PKP Pecheneg-SP fire]

Yuri: Fought to the last breath. Sorry, friend. *takes Black Box* Nuclear briefcase is ours.

Blizzard: Nice. Let me help you with that.

Helen: You should have them by now, Battle Lord.

Overlord: We do. Processing.

[10 second pause]

Battle Captain: Jesus Christ, Helen! Blood and retina are a match! President Vladimir Putin is K.I.A.!

[Dark Matter Squadron cheers and claps and pats Helen on the back and head]

Helen: (off comms) *laughs* That tickles, boys. (on comms) Great news, Battle Lord. Dark Matter Squadron is resuming mission, over.

Overlord: Roger that, Dark Matter 3. Great work. That'll be a powerful message to the other side, over.

Chemo: *playfully puts Helen in headlock* Mmm, I'm so PROUD of you, Helen.

Helen: Aww, thanks.

Nomad: Made it look easy, Helen. Well done.

Graves: Brings a tear to my eye to see you become a conquering hero, Helen.

Helen: Thank you, sirs.

Nomad: Come on. F.S.B. and GRU are still waiting to be robbed.

Chaos: Dark Matter Squadron, move out.

After confirming that President Vladimir Putin is killed in action and halfway to Hell, Dark Matter Squadron re-establish their cover, grab a few more sports bags from the same shopping center, and proceed to the Lubyanka Building. They catch the F.S.B. by surprise with the presidential Mi-8 Hip and a roof entry this time.

But the security cameras would put the entire facility on high alert sooner than later, and the surviving responders fight harder than the F.S.O. Agents and The Kremlin's security personnel. Still, despite the slight challenge, Task Force Rogue successfully topples the F.S.B.'s headquarters before raiding their data caches.

The challenge then goes up when the Ultranationalist Inner Circle manages to catch up with Dark Matter Squadron as they run over their own rioting countrymen with their BTR-90s and have their Mi-28 Havocs circle around F.S.B. HQ's perimeter. With the clear and present threat outside and his teammates' hands full, Nomad decides to dance with the enemy in a way he has not done in a while.

Helen: Inner Circle's now onto us, team. We gotta speed things up.

Nomad: Still won't help. Helen, take over my office. I'll keep our new friends outside company.

Helen: Copy tha— Wait, what are you gonna do?

Nomad: What I can.

Dark Matter Actual/Nomad starts the firefight off by throwing C4 directly on top of the Russian APCs, rendering them almost useless. He then shoots the front doors up and introduces himself and his M240B to the Ultranationalist Inner Circle Operators.

And while the enemy Havoc pilots are busy trying to find a way to kill him without committing friendly fire, Nomad shoots them all down with his DD M4A1's M203A2 Grenade Launcher. Helen finishes up sooner than everyone else because Dark Matter Actual was the fastest in grabbing and hacking intel and gets to a window to check on Dark Matter Actual.

Only to watch the Delta Operator wipe the streets with the entire Inner Circle strike force singlehandedly with his firearms, explosives, knife, punches, kicks, throws, palm strikes, headbutts, neck chops and elbow strikes in awe like it is an art form.

[C4 Explosive Charge detonation]

[Ultranationalist Inner Circle Operators painfully scream]

[M240B fire]

[9 Bang Grenade detonation]

[M203A2 fire]

[explosions]

[Mi-28s crash]

[Mi-28s explode]

[SR-25 ECC fire]

[MT-575 Knife hit]

[X-45 Tactical fire]

[Thermobaric Hand Grenade GHTB detonation]

[DD M4A1 fire]

[MK12 SPR fire]

Nomad: *looks up* Finished faster than everyone else, I see.

Helen: Only because you collect and hack a lot quicker than everyone else, Actual. Come back to us. I have you covered.

Chaos: Dark Matter Actual, this is Dark Matter 1. SSE complete. We're heading back to the Hip. What's your status, over?

Nomad: Fine as wine. Just gave my body and skill set a great stretch. Rejoining you now, over.

Chaos: Roger. *looks down* Whoa, you've been busy, Original Rogue 1.

Nomad: Not as busy as any of you, Better Rogue 1.

Yuri: You alone made a small army disappear? Incredible.

Nomad: Dark Matter 3 gave a little help, Dark Matter 4.

Blizzard: Still, that was some feat.

25 minutes of SSE and heavy fighting later, the Lubyanka Building has fallen, and not even the Ultranationalist Inner Circle could avenge it, let alone save it. Dark Matter Squadron then disappears off to their final target: Grizodubovoy Street 3.

The situation there is somewhat similar as they assault GRU's headquarters in the same way they attacked the F.S.B.'s. But once word gets out that another Inner Circle strike team is inbound, all of the Dark Matters drop what they are doing and get their weapons up to support Nomad this time.

Once all hostile Russians in the third AO are long dead, every GRU-owned intel deposit is emptied, and information regarding Makarov and his inner circle is found and collected, Operation Western Retribution is close to being a success. All Dark Matter Squadron has to do is leave with everything they have stolen.

But as they prepare to get out of Moscow and subsequently Russia later, Overlord gives some intriguing news.

Blizzard: I got files with Makarov's pictures. Ultranationalist Inner Circle's as well. Is this it, Yuri?

Yuri: Yes. They are the declassified files of Makarov and the Ultranationalist Inner Circle. Here at home? No wonder I could not find anything in our many temporary bases' intel storage rooms.

Graves: Hook, line and fuckin' sinker! That's what I'm talking about, Dark Matter Squadron!

Frost: Especially you, Helen! You're the star of this show!

Graves: Hell yeah, Helen! You know I love that shit!

Helen: Hooah! This one's for you, Shadow Company.

Chemo: No more red tape! No more government bullshit!

Bishop: YES!

Blizzard: This one's for you too, Hunter Team 3.

Chaos: (off comms) Hooah. (on comms) Dark Matter 1 to Battle Lord, mission's almost complete. We're heading home, over.

Battle Captain: Roger that, Dark Matter 1. Be advised, we're monitoring Task Force 141 with a piggybacked C.I.A. spy satellite. They know we've beaten Makarov and Russia's finest, and they're planning to take us out personally for good. Do you copy, over?

Chaos: Got all that, team?

[Dark Matter Squadron gives multiple thumbs up and OK signs]

Chaos: Dark Matter Squadron copies all, Battle Lord, over.

Overlord: So what's your read on this, son?

Chaos: Well, I know we can just disappear and let them RTB empty-handed. But I also know that some of us have personal scores to settle with some of them. So, I say now is as good a time as any. Gotta look after everyone physically and mentally, right?

Overlord: Alright, Dark Matter 1. It's your call. Just deliver the Black Box and your intel package. We'll maintain ISR, over.

Chaos: (on comms) Roger, standby. (off comms) Dark Matter Squadron, listen up! I know that some of us have a score to settle with Captain Price, Kyle, Soap, Ghost, Sandman, Truck and Grinch. I also know Chicago doesn't really count because it was just Nomad who threw hands. Hell, I got a matter to put to bed as well. So all I need to know is where you stand on this opportunity. Jackson, Frost, Helen?

Jackson: Give me a chance to beat the shit out of Captain Britain and his lapdog, and Task Force 141, excluding Laswell, and I will be even.

Helen: I'm on the same boat as Jackson. I just have Sandman, Truck and Grinch on my list as well.

Frost: I gotta at least try to talk some sense into my team. I've been waiting for the chance since 2022.

Chaos: Then that means you three are coming with me. I know a place where we can set up an ambush.

Nomad: I'll go too. You are most vulnerable when you're busy. Someone's gotta watch your backs. The rest of you, return home, get that nuclear football into safe hands, and boil down everything we have.

Bishop: Not a problem, mates. Kick their arses and come on home safe as well.

Chemo: Do keep a close eye on Helen, yeah?

Nomad: Of course. Now, take off.

Graves: Make sure those revenge cocktails taste great, people. Lifting off.

With the job just a couple of air rides away from being done and the one last chance to settle any and all unresolved personal vendettas with Task Force 141 clear as day, Helen, Chaos, Nomad, Frost and Jackson stay behind to prepare for a war to end all wars.
